In the autumn and early winter, she comes often to him, seeking the comfort of a dead man's company after her resurrection, torn from the warm womb of Heaven.
In the late winter, she comes to him as a secret lover, they embrace in the shadows, and he dreams of reaching a Heaven of returned love.
In the spring, he does everything but say the truth that will cut her worst: In leaving him, rejecting the chance of their love, she has snatched away his chance at Heaven.
In the summer, he seeks out her Heaven by enduring his Hell.
