hey guys! Thank you all so, so much for all the support on the first chapter! It truly means the world to me. I honestly wasn't expecting anybody to see this story at all. The idea's been floating around in my head for a very long time now, and honestly, I just didn't know what universe to put. But I've started re-watching Naruto lately and figured it would work pretty well!

Also, the story is gonna change quite a bit, (obviously). I'll be trying to keep some things a cannon as possible. But at this point I'm not really too sure. I have a rough idea planned out in my head, but nothing set in stone just yet.

In any case, thank you all for following and reviewing this story, it truly means the world to me! Now, lets dive back into the angst.

"I need to assemble my perfect team'

"ugh, yea I get that Sasuke, but you've already got me and… him"

"hey! I take offence to that ya know"

"yea, yea whatever. My point being, why do we have to travel all the way out to one of Orochimaru's old hideouts just to collect someone who we probably wont even be able to control?

"you may not understand, but we need Jugo. Without him my team will not be complete"

"yea, you heard him Karin! Now can we go already? I don't do well in hot areas. I wanna get this over with as soon as possible"

"oh, would you stop complaining? Fine, lets go. But were not stopping every 5 minutes for you"

"AAAHHHHHH SOMEONE, HELP! HE'S TRYING TO KILL ME"

A loud crash was heard, as well as the sound of a wall collapsing, and… well, someone's head going *squish*, to put it politely.

"ah great, sounds like Jugo's awake. And on yet another one of his famous rampages. Wonder if he'll be able to break my cell today" 21 slowly sat up in her cell. Beginning to stretch and letting her wings stretch out as far as they were able, and flexing her claws a few times to get some feeling back into them.

It's been a few years now since that… thing left this hideout. 21 had grown quite a bit, she even had to be transferred into a new, bigger cell around a year before. As the old one was becoming far to cramped.

But, of course. With increased size, comes increased security. The bars of the cell door now thicker than ever, and even had a seal places upon them, just for extra strength. The stone making up the rest of the cell doors were also much tougher. Barely even able to leave a scratch with her claws.

"Hey Jugo! Could ya shut up for a bit?! I'm trying to sleep here if ya don't mind!" she yelled out. The only response received though, was more terrified screams from the unfortunate prisoners who just so happened to get in his way.

The only guy who had been able to control Jugo's outbursts, had been collected by Orochimaru for some sort of mission. He never returned. Meaning that they'd all been left to attempt to deal with him on their own.

Now to be fair, when the man wasn't in one of his rages, he was a rather nice person. Always ensuring everyone had enough food and water, and even occasionally having some rather pleasant conversations with 21 and some other prisoners too.

"if only he could get his outburst's under control on his own" she sighed, knowing that he wasn't going to be calming down for a while. Instead of waiting, she opted to simply curl back up, and fall back asleep.

"Suigetsu"

"hmm, yea boss"?

I want you to set all the prisoners free"

"wha- are you sure that's a good idea? I mean I guess they kinda-"

"oh, would you shut up already and just do it? This place gives me the creeps"

"geese Karin, you really don't hold back do you? Wow! Hey I'm just kidding! No need to try and hit me. I'll go let the out now, ok?"

"just hurry up already"

Lazily using his sword, Suigetsu walked down the hall and sliced off the locks on all the cell doors. The ones that hadn't already be broken of course.

As he reached the final cell and broke the lock, the people inside looked at him strangely. Like the didn't understand what was happening. There was 5 people in this particular cell. All middle-aged men who had certainly seen better days. The water ninja quickly becoming impatient when none of them moved for a few moments.

"come on already, would you guys get up? You're all free to go. And this is the last cell so hurry up so I can leave before Karin yells at me again"

One of them men finally decided to speak up. "you mean were… were really free? You're just letting us out?"

"that right, now hurry p before I decide to lock the door again and leave you guys here to rot". That got the 5 men up and hurrying out the cell as quickly as their stiff joints would allow them.

Although, after taking only a few steps out, one of them men stopped, and turned to look back at Suigetsu.

"I'm sorry to ask this of you, but have you been in the back room yet by any chance? There's another prisoner trapped back there. She's only young. She deserves her freedom more than any of us". His eyes seamed to cloud over for a moment, seaming to remember some dark memory. Or more rather, some haunting screams.

"hmm, what do you mean by that?" Suigetsu was interested at this point. 'what's a kid doing here? Away from everyone else no less. What did Orochimaru do to them?

"she was Orochimaru's favourite" the man continued, "he experimented on her more than any else here. She's tough, and somehow always managed to survive. Now, I don't even know if you could call her fully human anymore. But she still deserves to be free. Just like the rest of us". The man ran off before Suigetsu could ask anymore questions. Leaving him with a confused look on his face.

Suigetsu swallowed. Both intrigued and scared at what could be behind it. 'maybe I should go et Karin, or even Sasuke. Nah, they'd both just yell at me. Well, Karin would at least. Sasuke would just stair at me'. Taking a breath, he finally reached out for the handle f the door. Slowly turning it and pushing it so the door slowly opened. Letting out a loud creak as he did was then he could hear someone moving around, seaming to come from a cell just up ahead, though he wasn't able to see in as it was against the wall. Hesitantly, he finally spoke.

"uhh, hello? Is someone there? I'm uhh, I'm here to set you free?". Forcing his feet to start walking forward, he froze when he finally turnt to look into the cell. "whAT THE FU-"

Sorry for the short -ish- chapters yall! I'm a very busy person so I don't get much time to write. Plus, I'm just kinda winging it as I go lol. In any case, I plan to upload hopefully once a week at least! No promises tho. I get tired easily.
