A/N: So I've seen a few fanart pictures with babies and well, because I really really suck at drawing, I tried writing a small drabble instead. It's nothing special, I just felt like getting it out there. And I knoooww that Larxene is OOC, please don't bash me for it lol, thanks.

Enjoy!

Our Baby

The young child giggled happily as she expertly tottered toward the colorful flowers. She looked so small in the vast valley, but never was she frightened ― she always had a sweet smile on her face. Her glittering emerald eyes were full of joy as she marveled at the world around her, wanting to discover everything there was to be seen.

Reaching the bed of flowers, she brushed one of the pink petals tentatively, feeling its smooth softness with her tiny fingers. She laughed, and somewhat roughly wrapped her fingers around the stem and pulled. She turned to look for her mother whom, as she expected, was walking down the hill the little girl had managed to descend moments ago.

The woman smiled when she spotted her daughter a little ways ahead. A familiar, yet foreign feeling rose within her chest ― the one she always felt whenever she would see the beaming face of the precious girl. Love.

Xalia was her very reason for existing.

The child had been making her way towards her, holding something firmly in her fist. The woman leaned down and scooped her up in her arms, greeting her with a playful voice.

"What have you got there, little one?"

The proud girl lifted her hand up higher, showing her mom what she had accomplished. The women looked at her child with pride, her blue eyes meeting Xalia's own green eyes. That beautiful color always reminded her of him…

Axel…

Larxene lowered herself to the ground slowly, seating the young girl on her lap. She gently caressed Xalia's cheek and, for a moment, allowed herself to lose herself in her thoughts.

She was sure he didn't know anything about this. Actually, she was sure he didn't even know she was still alive… but she wasn't sure if their time together had meant anything to him. After he had thoughtlessly betrayed her, she didn't know what to make of him. She knew he wouldn't have done anything without a reason, so... had his feelings been true at all?

That's probably a reason as to why she loved him and hated him. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't figure him out... and really, it hurt.

But to her, Xalia is the part of Axel that had loved her. He would always be with her, even if he didn't know it.

Larxene kissed the little girl's forehead tenderly. Xalia smiled brightly at her mother until she noticed a fluttering of wings pass by and her face fell into a look of fascination. She got up from her mom's lap with an audible grunt from her efforts and followed the unusual creature. Larxene laughed softly as she watched her child's innocent behavior. Xalia was, without a doubt, her world. She was her beautiful baby.
