His eyes sat on the rocky statue that was once his best friend. She was once a soft hearted beauty now she is a cold forgotten memory in his mind. A tear had come to his eyes as he looked upon the statue that really was her. He had been sitting there for god knows how long; just sitting sometimes he would talk to it but stopped after a few words.

A hundred days have made me older
Since the last time that I saw your pretty face

But all the miles that separate

Behind him sat another beauty that had become the new love of his life. Her long violet hair blew in the uncommon wing beneath the earth. She sat in total silence waiting for him. She could tell he loved her with all his heart but this statue was not his heart, but his child hoods self that died away with her. The green skinned man had a dozen tulips in his palm, yellow, and her favorite color.

"Garfield, I will stand beside you no matter what happens you know that right?" called the violet beauty.

The man wiped a single tear from his face and ran up to the violet girl. He put his head in her chest and sobbed, he had felt this loneliness linger in his heart for so long he had to release it, why not with the love of your life.

The miles just keep rollin'
As the people leave their way to say hello

But I hope that it gets better as we go

He had his face against her for what seemed like hours before he raised it and looked up into her purple eyes. A smiled played across her lips and small tears of happiness rolled down her cheeks. One final glance towards the rock and one last goodbye before he put the flowers up against the plaque and kissed the cold rock on what used to be her soft cheek.

They both walked out of the inner tunnel with hands entangled with one another to a small black family van with two young children in the back seats. Her golden ring shined on her finger in the sun. The green man looked at the tunnel once more and got into the drivers seat.

"Raven, I love you." He said softly into her ear.

The women didn't respond, all she did was place her warm lips against his into one ever loving kiss as there children in the back seat put on a small smile as there parents showed there true feelings for one another.

Then with nothing else the van drove away into the unknowing world of happiness, joy, sadness, hatred, and green that awaited them.
