Chapter 37. I love you

Most of people went in.

Then Professor McGonagall came with the champions.

The champions and their partners would open the ball.

Cedric got the highest mark, he was the first, his partner was Cho Chang.

Krum's partner was a French witch, but not Fleur Delacour.

The man stood next to Fleur Delacour was her partner, a Slytherin, tall, not so handsome.

People who remained in front of the door all looked at them.

Hermione commented that Slytherin wizard in an unpleasant tone: "he doesn't speak English well."

It remained Della of Krum, who did not speak English. Maybe the daily conversation was no problem, but his accent was really strong.

—Can he speak French?

Or did his partner speak English? A French woman and a German, how did they talk? In English?

She told Hermione and Harry about it, then the three laughed together.

Maybe their laughter was heard, Krum noticed them, looked over here and frowned, saying something to his partner before came over.

His partner looked terrible on her face.

Della, Hermione and Harry were all nervous and looked at one another.

Did he have such a good hearing?

As a boy, Harry had to stand up: "Hi, what can I do for you?"

Krum was a little surprised to be stopped by Harry, who suddenly stood in front of him. He was one and a half taller than Harry the moment they stood side by side, he needed to look down to Harry, besides, he was as wide as two Harry!

He's definitely a big guy.

He nodded hastily to Harry, then passed over him and asked Della, "how are you?"

Hermione turned to Della.

Harry was looking at Della, too.

In fact, everyone was watching Della right now.

Della: "…"

She was on the verge of explanation to the people present that the English vocabulary of this German was as few as Professor Snape's smile!

He may not be able to say a five words sentence!

"Excellent." Della said decisively.

He frowned and looked around the place next to her: empty.

She's barely going to kill Fred.

Della had to act like how normal she's standing here alone, although there's a boy standing on the other side of every girl.

Hermione gave Harry a push.

Harry hesitated for a moment, but he didn't stand by Della.

"All right." Krum frowned. He may not have the second expression, except frown.

He then turned to Hermione and looked at her for quite a long time.

Della breathed a sigh of relief but found Hermione was getting burnt for nervous, while Harry turned pale — he was reaching his wand in his pocket.

The atmosphere was also strange, it seemed like Krum wanted to say something to Hermione, but didn't.

Nervous? Shy?

He finally said nothing, nodded curtly to her before returned to the line, and was led in by Professor McGonagall.

All of people relieved.

It burst into a buzz as they watched Della and Hermione.

Harry's face was terrible, extremely worse.

Hermione was still in burning, she pulled Della aside and pretended to tidy up her dress in order to evade the sights from everywhere.

Della hesitated to say: "do you think…" She made a face.

Hermione hesitated for a moment before she shook her head positively: "no, no way."

She had been uncared for the frontal 14 years, while this year, she suddenly had a saviour for boyfriend, and attracted another international Quidditch superstar.

"Unless I become a Veela." She said.

"…If, I mean in case, is it possible?" She remembered this love affair of her.

Hermione shook her head in smile and took Harry's arm.

Well, if it were her, she would also choose Harry rather than someone who couldn't speak English well.

The music was coming out.

There's no one in front of the gate, only the three.

"Move in, don't miss the first dance." Della pushed Hermione.

Hermione was hesitated. Della was still calm, but her red eyes filled with anger.

Della was much close to be calm rather than angry, maybe a little, but she's used to it.

"Go. I'm all right," she said, "I wait here a while, I can't dance now, anyway."

Hermione left with Harry at last, she felt Della might not even need sympathy.

Not to mention she had Harry with her.

Della was quiet, pulled her skirt, which was so beautiful, she begged her mom for it and wore it for the first time today.

She touched her hair, they curled so well.

Pity, that she thought she could…

"Hey."

A familiar voice!

She turned with delight, seeing a Weasley in front of her.

She froze, covered her face: "…George, have I told you that, I can tell you apart?" George shrugged, "probably."

"If it's Fred, he will make a face, while you'll make a movement." Della said.

George was in a daze: "really?" He didn't notice who preferred a grimace.

He said as he looked at the empty corridor, "he asked me to come first, he had a few finishing touched," he added, "I guess he's coming."

"Don't worry," Della said, "I'm used to it."

She's really used to it.

George: "I think I should come and apologize for my brother. He didn't mean to. He really loves you, Della, genuinely. He wants to start the business and get ahead as soon as possible, for his one-year earlier graduation than you. He hopes that when you graduate, everything will be ready, and he could propose to you."

Della was too surprised to speak. She got burnt on her face and stammered for a long time. "It's… supposed to be a surprise, isn't it?" George shrugged. "I'm afraid he'll be dumped before you graduate, so I want to leak you first."

Della shook her head. "I'm not going to. I love him. You may not understand how much I do. He's the meaning of my existence." She thought for a moment and felt it was too much, then added, "at least a half." The other half was her family and friends.

But she really loved Fred. Although it didn't reach to the extent of only married him, she had no idea of anyone she would marry without him.

She looked back and found George covering his mouth and flushing as if to bleed.

"…Why are you so red?" It made her turn the colour of red.

George: "…well, maybe, love is so hot." He didn't expect to hear that! God! If Fred knew, he would be crazy!

At this time, a running footstep came from the end of the corridor.

"Here he is." George said happily, ready to leave.

Then came a loud fall to the ground, bang!

George and Della took a gasp together, that sounded really painful!

George: "…I'll leave now."

Della nodded. "I'll take him to the hospital wing to take some potion."

George suddenly looked at her complicatedly: "it's tough enough, if it's a punishment."

Della: "What do you mean? Is he afraid of taking potion?" George didn't respond, with a mischievous smile on his face: "no, nothing. I'm in. Have a good time, Della."

After words, he ran away.
