Chapter 41. Emmm...

Della was writing homework while lost in thought, her absence time was much longer than the concentration.

Little Fred was moving around on the parchment, either he was kissing Della's finger, or he was waving his fist at Ron and Harry sitting opposite him.

Ron stretched out his hand and pushed him down.

He fell all over the table.

Della: "Hey you!"

Hermione gave him a sharp pat.

Ron was unpleasant: "It's not true!" With an averse expression, he looked Della holding little Fred in hands and hastily cared him if he got hurt or whether he was okay.

Hermione was about to say something before Lavender Brown suddenly appeared from behind Ron, clasped Ron's neck, kissed him loudly on his face, and shouted, "Won-Won!"

Hermione, Della and Harry were all stunned.

Ron also did, then his face got burning. He struggled from Lavender's arm, jumped up from the sofa, kept one arm away from her, blushed and asked her, "what's up?"

Obviously, Lavender had nothing importantly to do with him. She saw his homework on the table and was surprised to say, "Won-Won, you're so hardworking! I haven't written my homework. Can I do it with you?"

Ron cleared his throat, in the common room there were someone had noticed here and came out with some laughter.

He was embarrassed.

"I'm doing with Harry." He said, "you can with your friends..." Lavender looked disappointed and turned to Harry and Hermione.

Harry immediately said, "Oh, you can do it together, it's all right." He turned to Hermione and Della, "is it?"

Hermione nodded, "sure, go ahead!"

It's turning sunny on Lavender's face.

Ron, obviously, had no reason to refuse, so he had to stack his books and homework hastily, hold them, and go with Lavender to find another table.

Lavender quickly took her homework downstairs, and Ron began to work hard as never before.

Hermione glanced at them and sighed, "if this continues, maybe his grades will improve."

Harry chuckled. As Ron's friend, he could better understand his current mood.

After he was on a term with Hermione, Ron got sour for a while and seemed to think his friends were falling in love behind his back.

Harry had been putting up with him. Now, it's finally his turn to see Ron's jokes.

"Don't worry about him, he will be fine." Harry moved his seat to Hermione, the two wrote homework together.

They quickly solved the homework of Transfiguration. Hermione noticed that Della's parchment had not written a word since just now, so she reminded her, "if you don't keep on, you will lose your… What are you looking at? Ron?"

She and Harry also turned to Ron, seeing he was trying to do his homework in order to avoid Lavender since he set down, however, Lavender wanted to talk to her boyfriend instead. She kept on talking to him, blowing at him, writing a note to him, and even made a frog which jumping on his book or parchment.

No matter how Ron reacted, it would always make her laugh out loudly.

Many people in the common room were watching the new couple. After the Christmas ball, there came out a lot of new couples in school.

Ron didn't want to attract attention, so even if he was involved into the entanglement, he didn't dare to get angry loudly.

Hermione: "…I have a little sympathy for him." They all knew Ron well, He was as shy as his bold.

Harry nodded. He's more empathetic. It's like being stared at all the time, Ron must be very uncomfortable.

Hermione: "So, why do you keep looking at them?" She quickly reacted and shook her head. "No, it's different from you and Fred."

Della did think about this, "maybe, just like the situation when I was chasing him? At that time, many people laughed, and some must sympathize with him." —Being obsessed with her.

She didn't consider his mood. Now, from the bystander's point of view, Fred must have… No, maybe worse than Ron. He was entangled by her and couldn't bear to run away, as soon as he saw her, and even when he heard that she was coming.

Hermione insisted: "It's different." She explained, "Fred was more mature than Ron from the beginning. Ron, on the other hand, is very naive until now. I don't know when did she fall in love with him." She said thoughtfully, "this is really a mystery. Ron accepted her last night. I can assure you that he just wants a girlfriend, instead of falling in love with Lavender. She will not have a sense of existence in his eyes than a potato."

That's too sharp.

But it should be the truth.

Ginny was on the sofa behind them, suddenly turned around and said, "yes. Like me and Neville, we separated after ball. Ron wants a girlfriend, he doesn't want to be alone."

Harry and Hermione were both in fright, "when did you come?"

Ginny closed the book, "it's been a while. I finished my homework." She finished, and took the book away.

In order not to be eavesdropped again, Harry, Hermione and Della had to find another place.

They came out of the common room, planned to visit Hagrid.

On the way, Hermione said, "when Fred accepted you, it must because he fell in love with you."

Della ruffled little Fred in her pocket and nodded, "I believed he loves me now. I'm just…" —worried about embarrassing Fred like Ron at that time.

Hermione said, "it's over, so you shouldn't think about it. It has nothing to do with the present."

Hermione was always right.

That day, they tasted his rock cake in Hagrid's hut and heard that Hagrid was dating with the headmistress of Beauxbatons!

"This will definitely be a big sensation." On their way back to the castle, Della sighed, "the first person who won the French witch turned out to be Hagrid."

Hermione couldn't help laughing, Harry took Hermione and said with a smile, "oh, I think it has something to do with his size."

At dinner, Della met her real boyfriend.

Ron and Lavender were still sitting together, while Harry and Hermione deliberately avoided them and sat a little further away.

Fred said that they had been making Canary Cream, after the Christmas party, they had many new orders.

"It's really exciting." Della said, smiling all the time, watching little Fred pick up all the petals falling around the vase on her plate.

Fred: "…honey, I don't think you love me anymore."

"Don't be silly." Della finally turned to look at her boyfriend and kissed him. "This is a gift you made for me, I just like it too much."

"Yes, yes." Fred stared at little Fred, "if I had known…"

Della suddenly remembered the day she saw Fred was picking lipstick.

She asked, "…well, if you don't mind, would you tell me what do you sent to others for Christmas present?" Fred: "Nothing. You know I don't have much money. So, most of them only have one card, and I put some spells on it. Dad's has a gong hat of Muggle, he likes it very much; Mom's was flowers which were picked up by George and me. Ginny, I gave her a hair band. That's it." He asked, "what's up? Why are you looking at me like that?"

Della: "…well, are you… interested in lipstick?"

Fred frowned, pondered, and answered uncertainly, "no?"

Della explained, "I mean, I have a lot. If you need, I can give you… how many?" Fred shook his head. "No, no, honey, I don't need them in my experiment. Maybe I will develop magic lipstick in the future? Let's talk about it then."

Della: "…you know, you can tell me anything." Fred: "of course… you're making me creeps, honey." He asked in a low voice, "what have I done… made you angry? If there is, I apologize, I must not intentionally do it."

Della: "No, I'm not angry." Little Fred was better than lipstick.

…But if lipstick is not a gift, why do they go to see lipstick together?
