Chapter 44. The "secret adoration"

After the Christmas holiday, school started.

It's a disaster that everyone had to face the class and homework before they recover from the holiday.

Professor McGonagall threatened them coldly: "I doubt anyone can achieve a good result this semester."

Hearing that, Della's heart plopped, jumped from the sky to the abyss.

"My final mark is going to be done." She said to Hermione, almost hoped that she could write a book of all the spells or something, or lend her intelligence for the time being.

Hermione: "You can start working hard from now, it's not too late!" Then she picked up her textbook and outlined the key points for her.

Della always suspected that Hermione had finished all the lessons in the fifth grade by herself, at least the lessons such as Transfiguration, Charms, Potions and Herbology.

Hermione checked all the key points of these lessons for her, then said in a relaxed tone, "as long as you understand all these, you won't worry about the exam."

Della looked at the big red lines, almost crossed most of the contents, fell in silence.

When she returned to her bedroom, Katie asked her, "do you have any idea about the second task?"

"Oh! I guess it must be very dangerous!" Della immediately threw the pile of books out of her mind.

There were always people betting on the content of the second task, some of them were small bets. Although Della knew the result, it was useless for the reason that Harry didn't take part in.

This made her merely look at the gambling and sigh. She was the only prophet!

Until the second task, she looked at Harry in a strange way.

Harry began to avoid her. Hermione said, "if I didn't know you had Fred, I did suspect that you were secretly in love with Harry."

They sat in the stands, all the wooden chairs in the stands were soaked with rain and snow, which made them extremely cold.

"Me? Are you kidding?" Della kicked away the dead leaves under her feet.

Then she heard Ron besides pretending to be profound to Harry: "I've told you, she has always had a crush on you."

Harry shook his head in panic, "no, don't fool me. Fred will kill me!"

Ron shook his head, "but I think…" He didn't finish.

Since his hair was shaved again.

Even the wool hat on his head couldn't stop the spell.

Ron panicked and touched his head in disbelief. Fred, who was sitting behind him, took off his wool hat and said to his little brother's smooth and white bald head, "It's great, you look much better now!"

Ron stood up angrily and put his woolen hat back on his head amid the roar of laughter. "Can't you be like a brother even a day?"

Fred said sincerely, "in fact, I always wanted to throw you away when you were a child."

Ron sat down in a huff.

Della turned away with a snort.

Hermione grabbed her, "you didn't speak out the spell!"

Della said blankly, "I'm familiar with that spell, I don't have to…"

She reacted!

Hermione opened her mouth, "you learned the Nonverbal Spell! That will not be taught until the sixth grade!"

Della stammered, apparently disbelieving that she had such talent: "well, did I? Let me try again?"

The student sitting in front of her immediately left with his head in arms. Dick, in the first row, also ran away at the reminder of his classmates.

Hermione obviously thought it was a good news and required to consolidate practice, while they still had to sit here watching the game! What a waste of time!

She said, "listen! When we get back to the common room, I'll find something hairy for you. You should manipulate it as soon as possible. After you get the trick, you can apply it to other charms." She said certainly, "it will definitely worth an additional credit in the O.W.Ls!"

In the coming competition, Della had been enveloped in the good news of "additional credit".

She didn't even notice the result of the game. The French witch didn't find her sister, obviously got the lowest score. Her sister was finally rescued by Headmaster Dumbledore.

After the second task, there's only one task remained. At the moment, Krum took the lead by a slight margin. Cedric's was eight on both tasks, but Krum got ten at this time.

After returning to the common room, Hermione kept her word, prepared many feather dusters and wool dusters for her. The rest room was full of flying feather and wool.

Although some people complained, but most of them could understand, after all, they were at grade fifth.

"Unlucky we are." Katie sighed, "there are both exam and the Triwizard Tournament. I mean, how can we concentrate on the exam?"

Della nodded and said to Hermione, "yes, you're lucky. It will be next year."

Hermione raised her chin, "even if it's this year, it won't be any problem!"

Della: "…I shouldn't have asked you."

Fred had passed the O.W.Ls, but his experience didn't work.

"Our marks were terrible, mom was angry with us for a summer vacation." He said to Della.

Before the Quidditch World Cup this year, their scores had just arrived, which made them get a lot of scolded.

"Especially the good Percy succeeded in finding a job in the Ministry of Magic. Mom wants us to learn from him." Fred said in a girlish voice and rolled his eyes.

Della comforted him, "don't argue with Mrs. Weasley, she's for your good. I mean, not so many people can understand your dream. But when you succeed, no one will say anything. You just have to wait for two years."

Fred sighed, "there's a person right in front of me, the only one."

They cuddled and kissed each other.

Then, Della had to jump off Fred's knee.

Since Professor Snape found them hiding in the corner.

"Five points for everyone." He drawled, "don't let me see you in the hallway again. Go back to your tower!"

Della had to run away with Fred. As they ran around the corner, Della said to Fred in surprise, "only five points off?"

Fred: "Honey, if you want to, I can go back with you, I don't care."

She prodded him and ran back to the tower.

As they got into the hole, they heard an angry yelling from Hermione.

Della went in, the crowd turned their sights to her immediately, and Fred behind her.

Della: "What happened? What are you looking at?"

She noticed that everyone had a newspaper in their hands.

She was handed a copy.

It's the Daily Prophet. The headline of front page was about the Triwizard Tournament, but it could be renamed as 'Harry Potter's youth at Hogwarts'.

It said that besides having a childhood sweetheart Hermione Granger, Harry had another Gryffindor girl who was one year older than him in secret love with him.

Her name was Della Bush.

Della screamed, "what's this?!"
