Enies Lobby opening: Sacrifice by 9mm Parabellum Bullet (Berserk 2017 opening)
(The opening guitar riff shows a cloudy sky open into a vast clear view, a contrast to what it was just moments ago. It then shows a speeding train racing on the waves as the title rolls)
Kizamareta rakuin wa mohaya kese wa shinai to
(The inside of the train is shown, the sight of everyone preparing themselves. Zoro fastens his swords, Nami readies her clima-tact, Sanji lit a cigar, Chopper placing 3 Rumble Balls into his picket, Luffy straightens his hat out. Other people from both Galley-La and the Franky Family are also seen getting ready.
Agaku dake jikan no muda da to dare ga iou to
(An image of Gian, with his eyes closed, thinking back to an image of Robin with her back to him, before he opens his eyes, now an amber color as his fist became alit with atomic energy.)
Mata kikoete kuru sakebi koe ni mo naranai koe de
(A shadowed image of Usopp's back appeared, his 'Sogeking' alter ego, facing forward instead. This is followed by the sight of Robin with her eyes covered, behind her was the figure of an orange haired giant alongside a woman with white hair who bears a striking resemblance to her. This ends with a shot of Franky, before he became a cyborg, looking at the backview of a large fishman in tears, before fast forwarding to the present, where he gains an angry look on his face as he gets ready for combat as well.

(Multiple fast forward shots, showing the Straw Hats fighting with CP9. Franky clashes with Fukuro, Chopper with Kumadori, Nami with Kalifa, Sanji with Jabra, and Zoro with Kaku)

(A shot of 2 kids running, both with their heads down in opposite directions, before they both look up back at each other. It is revealed these two are the child versions of Gian and Robin. They then grow to their adult versions, as Gian reaches out for her.)
Tachikirenai kami no te demo musunda kizuna to tamashii wo
(Another scene, showing the two running towards each other while the background shows a row of massive warships. Robin is suddenly yanked back by an unseen force as chains wrapped around Gian's body from the darkness behind him as he strains forward while the two still try to reach for each other.)
Tatakai no hate made tadoritsuku tame subete wo kakete
The scene then shifts to Rob Lucci, in his transformed Zoan form, staring down Luffy with an army of marines and warships, as the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates staggered up and stared back defiantly. A flash of lightning suddenly crashed down as a dark mass with one glowing red eye could be seen behind Lucci, the latter grinning sadistically.
Agakitsuzukete ikinuite miseru dake
(A series of cuts, showing the various groups from before battling World Government forces, the Straw Hats looking up in shock one by one. All this is interjected by various shots of Gian undergoing a Full Transformation as he faces down a nightmarish looking monster with twin blades in place of its arms. One final shot of Robin crying out Gian's name cuts to the Full Transformation completing and Gian fires an Atom Ray at the opposing monster.)
And let's begin.
"How's he holding up?"
Sanji sighed as he stared off into the distance. The three of them were picked up by the Franky Family mere moments ago. With all misunderstandings cleared up and now a common enemy to face together, a faction of 3 consisting of the Straw Hats alongside the Galley-La dock workers and the Franky Family formed to get back in an attempt to get both Robin and Franky back. Even Kokoro, Chimney and Yokozuna the frog from the train station came to help. But all the initial energy was a bit dampened when they saw one of the members.
"I don't know what they told him when they captured him again, but it's clearly affecting him." Sanji shook his head "Shitty Monster really has genuine feelings for Robin-chan, as much as I hate to admit it even I can see that. This is just like Usopp, except it's even more personal for him." the cook let out a puff of smoke "Must be something about Robin-Chan's actions, to think that her selflessness would go to this length?" he himself was rather shaken by the whole experience, and it made him even more determined to save their archaeologist.
"He needs to steel himself, we'll need everyone at their best." Zoro stated. Gian had been inconsolable since their return, isolating himself from everyone even as they drew closer to their destination and not speaking to anyone. The Kaiju-Zoan user had a lot to process after all, but no one expected him to be like this.
"Is 'Beast Warrior' gonna be ok?" Paulie asked as they looked over the plans once more. They would be at Enies Lobby in less than 10 minutes, time is short.
Nami sighed "He's been through a lot, I know he's trying to remain strong for all of us but-"
A door opened to see Chopper walk out, he looked at everyone and shook his head sadly.
"I gave him some medicine, he's not injured but he didn't talk to me." The reindeer stifled a sniffle, Gian, normally very welcoming of the little reindeer's company, has hardly reacted to even him. Everyone sighed, it's clear that finding out that Robin giving so much for all of them, while he was helpless to do anything, was weighing on him a lot.
"We really need him for the attack as well." Zambai grunted "Just what happened back on that train?"
"It's not what happened, it's what someone did." Zoro explained "We now all know the real reason Robin decided to go through with her decision, but Gian was always the closest with her. She'd give anything to see him live, and he won't live without her. Can't say I blame him, finding out about all this is just crazy."
Beside him 'Sogeking' did not speak, his mind racing over the actions he's made in the last couple of days. By now, Usopp's more or less beginning to see that what he did that night was looking to be a mistake; there's no doubt that part of the weight Gian is dealing with right now was because of him, he never thought of it that far. And not only was the crew affected by his pride, in a way he once again ran from a problem when the crew needed everyone to be strong. It only served to affirm a statement he made, and regret ate away at him, even now as he chose to still help out in this fashion.
Suddenly Luffy got up and wordlessly threw open the door to the cabin Gian was in.
"Straw Hat?" Zambai asked "What's going on with him now?"
Sanji took the cigarette out of his mouth "It might be for the best. The two of them have dealt with more than all of us combined in the past few days. If anyone can get through to him, it'll be Luffy."
The room was dark, and Luffy could just make out the form of his First Mate casting a hollow eye out of the window. The rain did not cease in the slightest, drops colliding with the window as the waves crashed outside of the Rocket Man.
"You look tired."
Luffy heard a bit of shuffling, then Gian turned his head in the direction of his voice.
"What gave it away?"
"You're not smiling, you always smile." Gian grunted at that response, before sitting up to face his captain.
"We're going to be there soon." Luffy stated, Gian only looked at him. The two stared in silence for a little while, before Gian let out a sigh.
"Do you know what her last words to me were?" Luffy didn't say a word, but he could see Gian's fist clench "She said 'Live for me', she said that as she surrendered herself to a fate that would've condemned us both."
Gian let out a humorless chuckle "Live for her… how can she expect me to live after I know what she did?"
"So do you want her back?" Luffy's statement was a simple one, but it belied hidden meaning. Gian's eyes steeled themselves as his fist bunched up.
"I will break the world itself if it means I can get her back…!" he rasped "All of them, CP9, the World Government, nothing will stand in my way, lest they wish to feel the full might of what I may unleash upon them…!" the voice that came out of Gian on the other hand was full of rage and defiance, one that barely held back a roaring flame of something primeval and ancient.
The two stared at each other in silence, before Luffy stood up and walked off, though not before placing a hand on his First Mate's shoulder.
"Don't worry, I won't let any more of our nakama get taken from us." He smiled before walking out the door "Try to join us soon, she'll be happy to see you."
"Yeah," Gian breathed "Just give me a minute."
The remaining Straw Hats could've sworn that it was as if their First Mate was a new man altogether. Luffy trailed behind him, his signature grin back on his face, but Gian strode forward with a roaring purpose in his eyes, marching straight up to Paulie looking over a Map of Enies Lobby.
"How much longer?"
Paulie blinked before gathering himself "Kokoro-baasan just mentioned that we're about 3 minutes away. We'll be there any second now."
"Good, just stick to whatever plan you have. I have a few things I have to take care of myself." He then looked at the carpenter "Also, I believe you boys took something of mine. I hope you brought it with you since there isn't a way to go back. You didn't scratch it, did you?"
"Scratch it? We can hardly lift that thing! What is it made of anyway?" Paulie gestured to the sight of Peeply Lulu and Tilestone struggling to heave Gian's massive Guandao up against the train cabin wall. Atom Splitter was precariously balanced between the two carpenters. Gian only snorted before walking over, easily hoisting it over his shoulder with one hand.
"Right, tell me when we get there." he said, ignoring the bug-eyed Galley-La foremen.
"H-How is that even-" Paulie choked out.
"Are you sure you're ok right now?" Zambai questioned.
"I'll be ok once we get Robin back." Gian retorted before looking at the thug "How are the burns? I hope I didn't hurt anything important."
"Ah, don't worry about that now! It's not like I haven't been burned before."
"Good, because we need to do this together if we want to succeed." He let off a faint smile "We'll look out for Franky too. I had my issues with him before, but I can see that he's a good man deep down who cares about his family. We'll make sure they both make it." Zambai smiled in gratitude.
"Good to have you back." Zoro nodded "You ready for what's about to come?" Gian glanced back at the swordsman before firmly nodding.
"I believe you already know the answer to that." he stated "Just to be clear, it's the only thing on my mind right now."
"Be ready to give them hell." Sanji smirked. Nami and Chopper were both gaining wider smiles when the saw that, and further away, even 'Sogeking' had renewed purpose.
"Shishishi, I think we're all set." Luffy grinned.
"You guys really are something…" Paulie shook his head with a smile "I thought you've been crazy enough even going this far, but I don't think I've seen anything yet."
"Brace yourselves everyone," Kokoro stated over the train intercom "Enies Lobby is now in sight."
Rocket Man sped forward, the crew looking on as the sky began to clear. A massive door bearing the insignia of the World Government stood, overshadowing an already impressive away of justice buildings as it seemingly stretched for miles into the sky.
"Alright, here's the plan once more." Paulie stated "Zambai and the rest of the Franky Family will lead the initial charge, we'll follow and make a route for the Straw Hat Pirates to reach the Tower of Justice! We hit 'em quick and we hit em hard, sound good?"
"Alright, get ready!" Zambai grinned "We're about to reach the island!"
Nami suddenly realized something off "Hey, where did Luffy and Gian go? Weren't they just here?"
Thumping on the train car roof made a few members of the Franky Family looked out. The scream of confusion they let out only confirmed one thing:
"You ready, Gian?" Luffy grinned. The Kaiju-Zoan user, looking back with a firm nod and a grin as Luffy wrapped one arm around his waist and stretched out other, had only one thing to say.
"Let's go, I want to see the look on her face when I show up."
"WAIT! DID YOU TWO EVEN LISTEN TO US?!" Paulie shouted.
"WHY ARE THEY JUST RUSHING IN ON THEIR OWN?!" Zambai screamed "THEY JUST SAID WE ALL NEEDED TO DO THIS TOGETHER!"
The Straw Hats just sighed upon realizing their First Mate's and Captain's disappearance
"Luffy, Gian, they couldn't even wait for 5 minutes…" Chopper sighed.
"It's good to see that Shitty monster back on his feet, but isn't this too ironic?" Sanji groaned.
"They just asked about the plan not even 10 minutes ago…" Nami shook her head.
"That woman, they're not even official yet and she's already gotten him wrapped around a finger." Zoro sighed
"And Luffy just isn't capable of patience to begin with." 'Sogeking' noted. Honestly, for the two of them they really should've expected it.
"Robin, wait for me just a while longer." Gian thought as he and Luffy rocketed over the fence. "I'm coming for you, and nothing will stand between you and me."
Meanwhile a few minutes earlier:
The contrast in the sky was striking, considering not even 5 minutes away, the storm clouds of Aqua Laguna were still raging. But the moment one steps into the realms of the Tower of Justice, the sky became a spotless blue, the sun beating down on the judicial island. Here it is known as the Island of the Forever Sun, but those rays are anything but optimistic.
This is Enies Lobby, one of the major headquarters for the World Government. Suspended by a bridge over a seemingly bottomless void, waterfalls roared around it, the torrent disappearing into the darkness. Enies Lobby was one of the signature symbols of the World Government's power, a bastion of the World Government's creed of Absolute Justice.
And within the stone walls of the Tower, its highest rank assassins were gathered once more. For the first time in 5 years, CP9 would be reuniting soon.
But first they have to deal with other problems.
"Chapapa, it seems that there's a lot of activity going on!" Fukuro chirped out.
The man at the desk stood up and turned to look at the agents. Unlike the others, this person seemed out of place, with his iron-cast mask that obscured part of his face as well as his stringy violet hair. The man gripped a saber in his right hand, a piece of newspaper in his left, and his eyes wide and darting as he addressed everyone. Spandam is the director of CP9, their orders came from him, and each of them follow only him.
"Today, for the first time in 5 years, we'll finally all be together once again. You've all accomplished your tasks well, except what was with all that killing?!" the man chastised loudly "Jabra, your squad was supposed to only kill a few leaders, not pretty much the entire base!"
"Yayoi! It was my fault director! I will now commit seppuku to atone for it!" Kumadori bemoaned.
"Shut up! I'll explain everything!" Jabra snapped "This loudmouth over here practically handed out identities out on a silver platter! And it wasn't just us, Gylzar did most of the killing! It's like that guy lives only to kill!"
"Fine…whatever, but I'm not done yet!" Spandam sighed "Where is Gylzar anyway?! This next part is on him! I can't believe he let 'Beast Warrior' get away! It was an order given by the goddamn Five Elders for crying out loud! He's supposed to be my best agents, but he slipped at the finish line because our little demon child decided to have a heart for once!"
"Gee, when did Lucci's top squad begin to fail missions?" Jabra sneered.
"I accomplished my goal of bringing back the blueprints of Pluton, Jabra." The door opened to show Rob Lucci striding in "That's a lot more than what you have to offer, from what I've heard." Jabra growled in anger, but held his tongue.
"Ah, Lucci, Kaku, Blueno, Kalifa. You've returned."
"That's sexual harassment, director." Kalifa stated.
"FOR JUST SAYING YOUR NAME?!" Spandam balked before composing himself "Wait, where's Gylzar? I thought he was with you guys?"
"He is in the medical bay." Kaku stated "The cybernetic implants of his Devil Fruit were damaged in the struggle with 'Beast Warrior' Gian. He says he will join us shortly."
"You do not have to wait long." Spandam looked up to see the assassin float towards him. The director of CP9 gulped; that Kaiju-Zoan of his granted his assassin unnatural power, it was as if he wasn't even of this world. Gylzar now sported a brand new red visor, more curved and V shaped. His black coat now has twin rows of sharp blades lining its sleeve; the assassin's mechanical hands covered by two black claw tipped gloves.
"After so long, it seems that we've all gotten stronger!" Fukuro chirped "Chapapa, Kalifa now has a Doriki of 630, Blueno at 820, Kaku at 2200, and Rob Lucci of 4000! I've already measured Jabra at 2180, Kumadori at 810, and mine at 800!"
"And mine has not changed, I can assure you." Gylzar stated "3940, Not that it matters for me."
"WHAT?!" Jabra balked "LUCCI HAS A DORIKI OF 4000?! AND HOW DID I DROP BELOW KAKU?!"
"Seems like we've all kept busy." Kaku stated, ignoring that outburst.
"Bullshit! We all know doriki is only measured through physical strength to begin with! When we spar again I'll use my devil fruit on you!"
"I'm not interested in that at all." Kaku snorted.
"Besides, even if it is counting Devil Fruit powers, you were never the equals of Lucci and me." Gylzar said. Jabra developed a tick mark at that.
"Ain't no one trying to compete with your monstrosity Gylzar! But Lucci? You think that wild cat is stronger than me?!"
"It's better than being a mad dog." Lucci dismissed.
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING MAD DOG?!"
"Enough, it doesn't matter where you all rank," Spandam tried to interject "As CP9 agents, you've all become superhuman! It's already impressive with a doriki of over 500, and here you all are!"
"Chapapa, the director is right! After all he only has a doriki of 9 so he knows strength when he sees it." Fukuro chirped.
"Oi! I'm just the guy in charge! Leave me out of this!" Spandam snapped "I have my sword if I need to use it!"
"It's ok director, we all know you are weak." Kalifa stated
"Why do you have to be so blunt about it?!" Spandam wept.
"That's sexual harrasement."
"WHAT I- never mind!" the director calmed down after a bit of raving.
"Besides, you've all worked rather hard. I have gifts for some of you later on, but for now bring in the prisoners!"
The doors creaked open, revealing the captives. Franky is now bound in thick iron chains, tied so that even he can't break. Meanwhile, Robin was now locked with seastone shackles, there would be no compromise this time around. Spandam grinned when he saw the two downcast persons.
"Ahhh, seeing you two in this position, I honestly couldn't be happier!" the masked director chortled "To think you've survived that train crash 8 years ago, Cutty Flam! And you, Nico Robin, on the run for 20 years yet here you stand!"
"For years, we've upheld the ideals of order, of justice, and absolutely zero tolerance towards criminals of the world! Today, that will be recognized yet again!" Spandam voice grew more and more elated as he continued "People were harmed by your existences, but in the act of getting rid of trash like yourselves, it is a small price to pay! Anyone that does not give us what we want, are no better than trash in the eyes of the World Government!" Spandam's eyes snapped to Franky, the cyborg gritting his teeth as he knew what was about to happen.
"You know that very well, don't you Cutty Flam? After all, that scum of a fishman you called master was in this exact position 8 years ago!" and at this, Franky could take no more.
"DON'T YOU DARE UTTER TOM'S NAME FROM YOUR ROTTEN MOUTH!" The cyborg roared before charging forward and biting the director's head, much to the latter's horror "He sacrificed his life, all so that scum like you will never get the blueprints!" the struggling continued before Kumadori forcefully restrained the carpenter again. Spandam glared at the cyborg before giving a triumphant smile.
"Your friend Iceburg thought he could protect those blueprints by uniting Water 7 under the World Government's banner, he made himself invaluable to the World Government. He certainly was a pain in my ass, But look what came out of that? Both keys for the resurrection of Pluton are in my possession! To think that the plan of incorporating the Buster Call would be enough to draw you out, Nico Robin?"
Robin glared at the man "Why would Aokiji entrust you with authority like that? You're not even an admiral!" Spandam's face warped into one of rage before, out of nowhere, he downed the archaeologist with a vicious punch.
"THAT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, YOU TRASH!" Spandam growled "The way your demonic blood of Ohara plagued this world, you have no right to ask for anything! And let's not forget," Robin nearly choked out blood when Spandam delivered another kick to her stomach "how you decided to let your little paramour get away! Did you forget your place and what I could do to you?!"
"I'm never going to let Gian fall into your hands…!" Robin spat "That was never a part of the agreement!"
"Agreement? It was orders from the Gorosei themselves! Just like you, he's a force that must be purged!" Spandam shouted as he continued his abuse "Even now, you still show signs of the same evil as you did since you we're a child!
"As long as they live, as long as He lives, I won't regret anything that will happen" Robin said firmly "Gian, he's able to break away from the darkness of his past, I'll make sure nothing blots out that light! Even if I have to take the fall for him! Our agreement was that all of the Straw Hat Pirates would leave Water 7 safely, that includes Gian, no matter what the Gorosei says! We follow that agreement and that alone!"
"YOU BITCH! YOU THINK YOU CAN ORDER ME AROUND?!" Spandam slapped her again before laughing "Let me tell you something, the moment you're sent away, we'll round up your whole crew! This time nothing can stop us!"
"What… did you say…?"
Spandam's face warped into a sneer "Exactly what I meant, I said we'll send your whole crew to Impel Down! Then we'll bring 'Beast Warrior' straight to you and make him watch you suffer!"
"WHAT? YOU CAN'T! THAT WASN'T WHAT WE AGREED ON!"
"Is that so? Why don't you explain it to her, Lucci?"
"The deal was that the Straw Hat Pirates, minus you, were to leave Water 7 safely." Lucci stated "We mentioned nothing about what would happen once they do leave."
"That's right! They'll leave Water 7, and then we'll have free reign to capture 'Beast Warrior' and the others. Maybe you'll even see each other before you're ripped away from each other!" Spandam leered as each word sank in for Robin "Did you really think you'd be able to save any of them? Did you really think you'd ever be loved by anyone? You lead them to their doom, just like how your very existence is a virus upon this world!" the director took in Robin's shaking form with satisfaction.
"Nico Robin!" Franky shouted "You should know better than to expect those World Government scum to cooperate with you! Those bastards have always exploited loopholes to fit their warped sense of Justice!"
"SHUT UP! YOU PIECES OF SHIT!" Spandam snarled before stomping the cyborg's head "You're both criminals! You're not owed any compromise!" Robin suddenly found herself up pulled upwards roughly, Spandam having a vicious grip on her hair "You caused me a lot of trouble for your stunt back on the train, I'm going to make sure you suffer until you beg me to release you with death! I'll break you until you would regret that you'd even been born!"
"With all due respect, director Spandex." Gyzlar chuckled from the side "You don't have to wait that long."
"BWAHAHA! SPANDEX? I'M CALLING YOU THAT FROM NOW ON!" Franky chortled, until he was silenced by a slam to the head by Kumadori's staff.
"Eh? What do you mean?" Spandam turned to his assassin, his tone a lot more nervous now. With the mission at hand, he never even bothered to correct his name. "Don't joke around here! Your assignment is about to fail because of this insolent woman! Are you saying that you let him go on purpose?"
"Indeed, and knowing him 'Beast Warrior would fall right in our hands." Gylzar stated, his smile never leaving him "Why do you think I was so lenient on the train? I took something of his, he'll do anything to get her back. And when he comes, all of them will. I know every move he'll make, he's willing to move heaven and earth to reach her, and then," Spandam let out a yelp as a shadowy dark aura began to seep from the assassin, a dark curtain that formed a translucent vision of a bird-like head with a single red eye "I'll make him feel every ounce of hope drain out of him as he bleeds into the ground!" On the side, Franky and Robin were also rather anxious at the sight of it; the aura felt dark, malicious, nothing like what they felt with Gian.
"Psychopath…" Jabra muttered. The other agents didn't comment, or at least didn't show any sign of discomfort. Only Lucci remained unfazed.
"S-Still, how are you so sure about that?" Spandam stammered "This is the one of the major sites of the World Government, there's just no way any of them would be foolish enough to charge in! It would be them going up against the entire world! We'll just-" any further words would have to wait as a growing commotion outside began to draw their attention. It all cumulated with a burst of blue light, all the way at the edge of the island.
"What in the world is going on now?" Spandam snapped as the transponder snail next to him suddenly rang.
*Gatcha
"What is it?"
"Director Spandam! 'Straw Hat' Luffy and 'Beast Warrior' Gian have infiltrated the island! We're attempting to capture them as we speak, but those two-!" the transmission was cut off suddenly. Spandam could've sworn he heard a thumping sound at the other end.
"What?! WHAT?! How did you let them get in here?! WHAT'S GOING ON?!"
"Khahahaha…!" Gylzar's grin widened "Guess I was right."
Meanwhile:
"You two just couldn't wait, couldn't you?"
"My girl is in there and she's waiting for me to rescue her."
"For crying out loud you haven't even popped the question yet, why are you so whipped already?"
"When all this is said and done I'll ask her out and I don't want none of you to see it."
"WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT AT ALL!"
Luffy had gone ahead, his rubber body enabled him to vault over buildings easier. Gian had told him earlier that he'll catch up with him when he's able to, considering he's much more cumbersome and unable to traverse the tall towers as easily. Then again, he's had a pretty rough couple of days so he's glad for a chance to vent.
And he'll have a lot of chances to do so. The Marines on the island were soon to notice him and Luffy's sudden intrusion. Of course, the two were just itching to bust a few heads in the process, though with 100 000 Marines on this island alone, they'd rather not waste much time.
Which is what the scene that the foreman of Galley-La as well as the Franky Family finally came across when they reached the first gate. Gian was still fighting, the defeated bodies of multiple soldiers with varying degrees of injury laying around him. Normally even a large number like this could be problematic for him, though with Luffy reaching further than he is, some of the soldiers naturally went to intercept him instead. This did not mean he currently wasn't swamped however, though it mattered little, as he literally threw himself into the fight to take more people down.
So when the two massive King Bulls charged into the square, backed by their allies, the first gate was soon overwhelmed and on they went to the second gate, this time with the Kaiju-Zoan user in tow.
"Yo 'Beast Warrior'! Iceburg-san said you had some special power inside of you." Paulie said as they dashed towards the next gate "Told me that's why the World Government put a hit on you too. Mind busting that out?"
"Huh, word sure spread fast." Gian snorted "Although I have to tell you, I'm saving most of my strength for later." Images flashed inside his head, an assassin's blade flashing in the rain, crimson blood leaking form his wounds "Someone in CP9, has a lot to answer to me for."
"Well that's just great." The carpenter grumbled "I mean it certainly would be helpful."
"I see the second gate!" A member of the Franky Family, Kiwi, pointed to another sealed structure.
But the charging forces were soon met by a new obstacle, as they watched in horror as two massive forms rose up from the ground.
"Oi, Kashi! I think we have some intruders!"
"Hehe, it would see so, Oimo!"
"Finally! The gatekeepers are awake!" the marines cheered.
"Shit, there's giants here too?!" Zambai cursed.
"We'll have to fight through them!" Paulie shouted before he had to jump out of the way as a massive ax came swinging down. The two giants were seasoned fighters, having guarded the gates of Enies Lobby for 50 years already. Gian grimaced; he was already slowed down by the little army from earlier, but now this is getting out of hand.
"On second thought, I'm getting a bit too worked up."
"OH SHIT!" Zambai, standing closest to Gian at the moment, had to jump away as the First Mate of the Straw Hats was enveloped in a plume of blue fire. As his Partial Transformation emerged, he charged straight at the gate, alerting the two giants.
"Hey, this little man feels funny!"
"Then we have to smash him!"
Both Oimo and Kashi raised their weapons and slammed directly onto Gian, leaving a crater in the ground. But before the can celebrate, they found that their weapons are being pushed against in a battle of strength.
"ARE YOU ALL SEEING THIS?!" Zambai screamed at the sight of Gian literally bracing against the two weapons with his own shoulders.
"J-Just what is this guy?!" Paulie stammered.
"BEAST WARRIOR' HAS TRANSFORMED! CALL FOR MORE BACK-UP! CALL FOR-" the marine's words were botched as Gian, using his newly gained strength, heaved Kashi right into a crowd of soldiers, putting them all out of commission. As the giant struggled to get up, he soon found himself bound by rope from Paulie, the Galley-La foremen followed up and pinned the giant down for good.
"No! You bastard!" Oimo roared and slammed his club down, only for Gian to vault up it and deliver a tail strike to the face, sending him staggering into the gate. Any attempt from him trying to recover was stopped when the two massive animals the Franky Family owned attacked him even more.
"Alright! Let's get that gate open!" Zambai cheered.
"That's gonna take too long!" Gian roared. Robin might not have so long, so it's here he had to improvise.
"Wait… what is he doing?" Tilestone pointed at the Kaiju-Zoan user. Gian's head was leaning down as his dorsal spines began to flash.
Then the atomic breath fire downwards, and that's when the next part came out of nowhere.
"H-He's-!"
"How is this even possible?!"
To be honest, he just made this part up. A few hypothesis regarding lift and drag and velocity and all that in his spare time, but lo and behold it was working. His Atom Ray began to push him into the air, like a makeshift rocket it was propelling him over the gate and forward to where Robin was supposedly held!
"Holy shit that actually worked." Gian grinned like an idiot. Down below he could just make out the Rocket Man crashing into the main gate, and as Zoro and the others got out and looked up he had to take some satisfaction over their dumbfounded expressions, heck all of the marines had to double check to see they weren't dreaming!
Of course, the journey didn't last as long as he liked. Flying through the air, his breath soon began to sputter before he landed with a tumble onto the ground.
"Alright, so that still needs some work." he commented to himself "At least it brought me closer. The tower is right there, and I just have to get over this one last building to reach it. This is certainly one strange island."
He flexed his muscles and faced forward, ready for the next part. There seemed to be action happening on top of the building before him; he could see blades of air being fire off and what appears to be grunts and shouts of exertion. Luffy must've gotten entangled with a CP9 member, he did went ahead after all. Gian nodded and prepared to follow.
What met him after all were units of armed guards and soldiers, their rifles and weapons pointed at him as soldiers riding on snarling wolfhounds circled him. Larger Marines, all pointing heavy cannons at him, and heavily armored guards wielding ball and chains. The Kaiju-Zoan user's eyes took in them all, a growl sounding deep in his throat.
"One last building, and a shit ton of Marines. Hang in there, Robin."
Meanwhile:
"HOW DID YOU LET 'STRAW HAT' LUFFY AND 'BEAST WARRIOR' GIAN REACH THIS FAR INTO THE ISLAND?!" Spandam was bewildered beyond belief, never in his life would he think that a few lowly pirates would be so daring as to invade a major branch of the World Government. But not only has 2 up and coming rookies stormed through thousands of guards, there was also news that they were backed by carpenters and ship dismantlers too? The director of CP9 was shouting orders everywhere, calling for all reinforcements to focus on the attackers and prevent them from reaching any further. Even CP9 were once again alerted, with 'Straw Hat' Luffy currently battling Blueno out on the courthouse roof. This brought some relief to him; while his underlings are quite rude to him most of the time, they follow orders and are powerful individuals. With them, Spandam at least has some respite.
Behind him, Franky laughed with contempt "You see that, Spanda? I told you not to underestimate Nico Robin's crewmates! They're already tearing down your front door!"
"SHUT UP!" the director screamed "Those pirates are nothing but trash! They won't amount to anything against the might of CP9!"
"Yeah, well we'll see about that! Those guys are seriously giving me hope! They'd go this far for just one friend, you haven't a clue!"
Spandam gritted his teeth, how could everything just be falling apart before him?
He looked out of the window, deep down having some relief. At least Monkey D. Luffy seemed to having trouble with his opponent. Blueno wasn't a seasoned user of Rokushiki for nothing, with his Doa Doa no mi's powers he soon made it so that the pirate's entire head was revolving around on his body. Spandam grinned at the sight; when he sics the rest of CP9 on the pirates later, there's no chance they can do anything.
But then the snail rang again, and Spandam was thrust right back into the flames.
"Director Spandam! The pirates have reached the final area of Enies Lobby! Worse, Oimo and Kashi have defected and are now rampaging through the square!"
"WHAT?!" Spandam screamed "HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!" before he was rocked off his feet at the horrifying sight before him.
"SKREEEEEEEOOOOONNNNNNNNKKKKKK!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
There wasn't really much you can do when a wall of blue fire took the form of a giant monster that was taller than the courthouse itself before disappearing into thin air. But Spandam could just see multiple Marines thrown airborne by that one motion. His knees shook so much it was a wonder he could still stand.
"Whooo! Look at that, Nico Robin, your beloved has got some moves!" Franky teased.
"Gian…" Robin thought. So he really did come.
Spandam panted with fear, he now is certain about one thing: The order that the Gorosei gave him regarding 'Beast Warrior' Gian? Well they'll just have to find the fruit again in its next cycle.
"I-Inform all available units closest to the court house…" He rasped into the snail "target 'Beast Warrior'. Use all the fire power you have… KILL HIM!"
Down below, Gian felt powerful. It was like nothing he's ever felt before, so natural with his Kaiju-Zoan fruit. To be fair, he didn't even know what had happened earlier, only that he felt something bubbling up inside of him the more he fought, and then he let it all out. Now that he has, it felt like everything was unwinding inside of him, it was a great feeling and he couldn't get enough.
As another iron ball flew at him, Gian grabbed it, along with the brute hanging onto it before spinning the man a circle, also smashing every dog riding soldier that chose to charge at him.
"Come on… I'm not done beating you all into the ground yet!"
And the increased mortar strikes that landed around him only furthered his battle fury. And he dove right back in.
"Shooting to kill now, are we? Well don't mind if I do!"
The heavy blows continued as he laid into the battalions of soldiers, paying little mind to other things, but it soon became apparent that he was outnumbered as he felt iron chain links wrap around him. The massive jurymen down here did not have seastone, but they'll just have to tie him up first.
"Shoot him!"
"Get the chains, restrain him first!"
"Not gonna happen! Atom Ray: Black Storm!"
This time it wasn't a beam of radiation that came out, but a billowing cloud of smoke that began to spread. The soldiers hardly registered anything before Gian promptly activated the second portion of the attack: lighting the mixture on fire.
The result is another fiery blue explosion that immolated multiple soldier. The heat gave him enough leeway to break out of confinement.
"I'm not stopping until I reach Robin! Out of my way!" he growled for more challengers as a row of 20 marines with massive Rocket launchers surrounded him, all pointing their cannons at him.
"DIE 'BEAST WARRIOR'!"
But they would not get the chance, for a massive club suddenly smashed through the crowd. Gian turned to see the two giants he downed before, their thundering footsteps coming straight for him. Gian snarled as he prepared to attack again.
"What, you two haven't taken enough punishment?!"
"Gian, wait! They're on our side now!" Chopper shouted a warning.
"Huh?"
The Kaiju-Zoan user looked up to see everyone else making it to the courthouse. The marines gathered in the courtyard were now locking blades with those of Galley-La and the remaining Franky Family. He looked up to see Oimo and Kashi, the former two gatekeepers now leading the charge as they mowed through multiple soldiers with ease.
"Our side?"
"Yeah! Turns out they're actually Dorry-san and Brogy-san's former crewmembers! The World Government lied to them saying they've arrested their captains and told them they'd only let them go if they guard the gate to Enies Lobby for 100 years! But Usopp managed to tell them the truth!" Nami explained
"Huh, kind of a weird coincidence but I'll take it. Glad you guys all finally made it at last though! I'm feeling a lot better now!"
"You ran ahead of us! Also curb your battle hunger for a little bit you still have to go get Robin-chan!" Sanji snapped.
"I haven't forgotten, you guys think you can take care of this?"
"Heh, it's just one more courthouse, I'll cut through it before you know it!" Zoro grinned "We'll meet you at the top!"
"Don't be too late, Luffy and I will've already saved her otherwise!"
"He's about to fly again!" Chopper cheered.
"I still have no idea how that's even physically possible…" Nami sighed as Gian rocketed off once again.
Up above, Luffy panted with exertion. Even though his target was the pigeon guy, this CP9 agent was giving him a really hard time. The captain charged again with a punch, but the bull haired man already used Soru to get behind him before reaching out a hand.
"Door Door!" Luffy yelped as the ground beneath him began to open, he managed to jump out of the way before it spins him around before glaring at the man.
"That ability of yours is so annoying! First you do it to the ground then you do it to my face!"
"That didn't seem to bother you before, you managed to avoid my Rankyaku with little issue." Blueno responded. "Though this is what happens, if you choose to stand against the World Government."
"Yeah well, it still was confusing." Luffy grunted before charging again "Gomu Gomu no Pistol!"
"Tekkai: Sai!"
The two attacks collided with one another, sending both fighters backwards. Luffy got back up with a grin, this was actually quite a challenge, and despite the situation it was something that he needed. Meanwhile Blueno was panting; this pirate is stronger than he originally thought.
"You know, I have to thank you for something."
"What do you mean?" Blueno narrowed his eyes.
"You're making me see something that I've lacked before. These past few days, I've been thinking to myself that I haven't been improving. After I lost to Aokiji I realized that if I don't get stronger, I won't be able to protect my nakama." Luffy stated.
"A worthy judgement, shame it is a bit too late for that." Blueno grunted.
"Some of my nakama depend on me; if I'm not stronger than I can't protect them! Just earlier, even Gian showed signs of improvement. He's learning more about his Devil Fruit every day! He's trying hard too, and as his captain we'll protect our nakama together!"
Luffy suddenly crouched down, and Blueno's eyes widened as he saw the boy's arms swelled up before deflating and that's when the changes happened.
Luffy's body began to glow, a dull reddish pink sheen began to form before getting brighter as steam began to billow from his body.
"Gear…Second!"
"What is this?" Blueno thought, but what happened next surprised him.
For Luffy disappeared in the blink of an eye. And Blueno only barely registered as he appeared behind him.
"He's fast! It's just as fast as using Soru!"
"Gomu Gomu no… Jet Pistol!"
Faster wasn't the only thing new about this move. As Luffy's fist rocketed into his chest, Blueno couldn't even register it at first. Sent flying with one punch, the assassin landed with a growl before charging forward again.
"Tekkai: Sai!"
But Luffy already leapt above him. And the next blow came even harder.
"Gomu Gomu no… Jet Stamp!"
Blueno cracked the stone roof a bit as the foot smashed into his back. Hastily, he made an Air Door and disappeared to it. As Luffy watched the surroundings warily, Blueno suddenly appeared behind him, attempting to apprehend him with another technique. But he could only gasp as Luffy flitted behind him again.
"Yeah, I really have to thank you. You using that speed move made me observe how it worked." Luffy grinned "I saw you kick the ground ten times to reach that speed, while I can't do that I can make something else up, which is why I evolved my techniques into Gear Second."
"That won't do you any good! Your insolence stops now! Tekkai Gou!"
"Gomu Gomu no Jet Bazooka!"
And one more blow made Blueno cough up blood as both of Luffy's hands slammed into his stomach at break next speed. He skidded backwards, but the damage was done. Blueno could only glare in indignation before collapsing, finally down for the count.
"Haa…Haa… you sure were tough, but you really wasted my time in finding Robin." He panted; despite everything, Gear Second was rather taxing on his body. He felt lightheaded as he checked his pockets; he prepared a few rations for this, but he'll need to use them sparingly.
With that he took a deep breath and shouted at the top of his lungs.
"I'VE COME TO GET YOU, ROBIN!"
"AAAAAAHHHH! How did that Pirate scum defeat Blueno?!" Spandam shouted in horror as he saw one of his prized assassins fall to the floor. He was supposed to be superhuman! Just what is this pirate made of?"
"Haha! There he is! What did I tell you, Nico Robin?" Franky cheered. The archaeologist though was at a loss for words.
"Take Nico Robin and Cutty Flam away!" Spandam ordered frantically, don't let Straw Hat Reach them!" but the marine soldiers were coming to a beat down as Franky broke the chains from his body, before blowing them all away with a rocket blast.
"Come on! Even if there's still some reservations, those guys have come to save you!" the cyborg said as he picked up the archaeologist and bolted for the window. But upon reaching the balcony, he realized it won't be so easy.
"Damn! It's too far! If I had more cola I could've boosted us over, but I'm all out of juice!" Franky cursed.
"Yo! I'll try to jump over! I've made shorter jumps than this before!" Luffy ran off and was about to rocket himself over, but a shout made him pause.
"STOP IT!"
"Oi, Nico Robin what are you saying?!" Franky demanded.
"I told you… I didn't need you to save me!" Robin shouted "I told you I wasn't coming back!"
Luffy was slightly lost forwards and was about to retort, but then someone beat him to it.
"Really? Not even to see me one last time?"
And despite the situation Robin couldn't help but gasp.
For Gian's Atom Ray had just propelled himself multiple stories onto the courthouse roof. The First Mate transformed back, before looking at the woman he came for with a smile.
"Hey Robin, I came to take you home."
A/N: And the second part of this great struggle has officially begun! I really wanted one last piece before school starts to pick up, but it shouldn't be too much work until next month when the midterms start stacking up. As you can expect, the next part will be full on action orientated as we finally reach Enies Lobby! I can't tell you just how excited I am to finally get here. It's been almost 4 years since I've began this story and now I've finally reached the part I always wanted to get to. These next few chapter are going to be so much fun!

Well, I can't say I blame you. The few earlier chapters were from a time when I just started writing this story and just planned things as I went along. Let's just chalk it up to arrogance and leave it at that because nowadays I'm actually trying to make the fights more unique. That battle is just for me to show off the Fruit since we havne't actually seen it much for the last 10 chapters before that. Really, there may come a day when I edit some of the earlier chapters, but right now we're this far and that's on the back burner for a bit.
G: Who actually gets that mad about fictional characters though? Like ever?
