Enies Lobby opening: Sacrifice by 9mm Parabellum Bullet (Berserk 2017 opening)

Moments earlier:

"HOLY MOTHER OF-"

The rest of CP9 were currently relaxing in Lucci's room. As they have missions quite frequently, the members of CP9 were never around for long. Still, each agent was granted their own rooms to rest in between their duties. Such is the situation currently, as all of them minus Blueno had been sent to rest with the latter going out to stop 'Straw Hat' Luffy who had already made it half way across the island.

Currently, Kaku and Kalifa were sampling Devil Fruits, courtesy of their director, much to the displeasure of Jabra. New power ups were about to hit them, and the two assassins were quite looking forwards to adding new arsenals to their already impressive array of techniques. But their moment of relaxation was interrupted when a blinding flash of blue fire blazed over the courthouse across from them. The ear-splitting roar that followed only further amplified their alarm, as did the form the flames took when they observed it.

And what came after that was an air of dominance and power, one that could be felt by all. Jabra's cursing was not unfounded.

"That must be 'Beast Warrior'!" Kumadori pointed out "They say he's somewhere on the island too!"

"If that was him, then he's made it all the way here." Kalifa noted.

"Oh great, Gylzar's beastly pal is coming to have a play date with him." Jabra snorted.

"Do you know anything about that?" Kaku pointed "That light was unnatural, 'Beast Warrior' never displayed that level of power on the sea train."

"That, my friends, was Aura. You've seen me use it a few times, at least when I feel like it."

Gylzar was standing beside Lucci's seat, furthest from the window. The rest of CP9 looked to see their leader stand up. Lucci's pigeon fluttered off as he approached the view of the courthouse.

"'Beast Warrior'… from the look of that display, it feels more like a wild beast about to become unchained. Yet 'Straw Hat' Luffy seems to be unconcerned about the potential problems that may bring."

"The same could be said for all of you, yet you seem keen to have me around."

"Chapapa! That's because Gylzar-san is a powerful asset of the World Government and of CP9! We become all the more powerful with you around."

"Yeah, except we gotta sleep with one eye open so you won't accidently go crazy and kill us!" Jabra chortled "Jokes aside, it does get boring without you around."

"You bring a sense of efficiency to us." Kalifa agreed.

"I feel like I'm supposed to be touched by that." Gyzlar chuckled.

"Though it's the truth." Lucci stated "You, who have been of CP9 for multiple generations, work to uphold Justice even after you gave yourself to the devil within you. We have been entrusted to cooperate with that power to maintain Justice, and to put you down should that power ever become a liability."

"Good to see you haven't lost your touch, Lucci." Gylzar smirked "Though I must admit, you are the most powerful generation of CP9 thus far. You have no need to worry about what I might unleash, this demonic beast within me share the same passion as I, at least for what I'm assigned to."

"And you claim 'Beast Warrior' is different?" Kaku asked.

"If you have noticed earlier, you could've seen it. 'Beast Warrior's' Aura has only recently been unleashed; he's yet to even fully unlock what his beast could do yet. Aura allow those of us who share a soul with the Great Beasts of Past to connect to one another, to feel the very life essence between those like us, and to unleash that power at will. 'Beast Warrior' Gian is untrained, his proficiency is limited to what only he wishes to release, but I know fully of what I wish to bring out with my power. Though I will admit, he is becoming fine-tuned with it."

"Yoyoi! That could be trouble for us!" Kumadori stated.

"Perhaps so, but that's only if he truly becomes one with it. Unfortunately for him, he will never realize that potential. I will tear at him until he cracks under the despair!"

"You seem quite passionate about meeting someone of his caliber." Lucci noted.

"It isn't every day you find an Aura so powerful that it could shake the world if truly mastered."

Lucci closed his eyes and acknowledge that fact "Are you afraid?"

"No…" Gylzar was shaking, his grin slowly getting bigger as his own black sheen of energy began to crackle around him "I'm excited…!"

At the Present:

"YOU NEVER TOLD ME YOU COULD FLYYY!"

Despite the fact that they're currently attempting to rescue a friend, Gian grimaced as he saw Luffy's star struck eyes after he witnessed the scene of him propelling himself to the top floor with his Atom Ray. Frankly, he realized, that should've been expected, after all his captain is still a kid at heart.

"I literally made that up in 3 seconds, I didn't even know it could be possible."

"WHEN WE'RE SAVE ROBIN WE SHOULD GO FLYING TOGETHER!"

"I don't know if I can carry you yet, but maybe it'll be good practice."

Enies Lobby is an island where the sun shines eternally, and for the first time in a long time, Gian and Robin just stared at each other. The former with a confident smile on his face as he looked at the woman he's grown to love, while the latter could barely contain the shock on her face.

"Now that I can see it in a better light, plus the fact that there isn't things immediately trying to kill us, why did I never notice how good she looks in black?" He grinned inwards "I know I should be focusing but-!"

"Huh? Gian why is your face so red?" Luffy perked his head as his First Mate sputtered and regathered himself.

"That's something for me to know only." Gian mumbled, before clearing his throat "We should call out to her again."

With that, the Kaiju-Zoan user turned back and waved to the archaeologist.

"You look gorgeous for someone that's about to get detained!"

Robin was at a loss for words and only blinked.

"…Really?" Franky groaned "You came all the way to save her and that's the best you could come up with?"

"OI! NO ONE ASKED YOU!" Gian gawked "I didn't really have any time to plan out a great moving speech you know!"

"Still, that was just about the worst thing to say in a situation like this!" Franky snorted "You have had past experiences with women, right?

"My past love life is none of your damn business, you pervert!" Gian snapped. While he has been on a number of dates with people back when he visited Loguetown ever so often, and sometimes it has led to something more serious, an actual long term relationship never came up often. Most of the times he chalked up to neither him nor the opposing party connecting emotionally, or he simply wasn't interested in something at the time. Yet another reason why Robin appealed to him so much; for the first time in a while he's actually wanting this to go past more than just basic friendship.

"Whatever, we're here to get her first, but we'll find a way to get you down too!" Gian called back.

"You better hurry! I think CP9 will be on your tail soon!" Franky replied.

"Gian, stop!" Robin shouted "Don't you think you're in over your head? I told you, don't even think about me coming back! I told you I just wanted to die!"

"Robin, back on the train you said to live for you," Gian stated "Do you really expect me to do that, after you literally sacrificed your own freedom so that I could live? Now you're here telling me you're just giving up on your life, how do you expect me to live knowing that?"

He sighed "Back in Alabasta, you said the same thing as we got out of that tomb. I didn't let you go back then and I won't right now, either."

"I never asked you to save me back then! If you'd left me there, you wouldn't be in this situation today!" Robin yelled.

"We already know, how untrue that is." Gian shook his head "I don't see how you could say that when-"

"AHAHAHA! LOOK AT YOUR HELPLESS SELVES! YOU'VE COME ALL THIS WAY AND IT'LL ALL BE FOR NAUGHT!"

Gian growled at the obnoxious voice; it seems like they aren't alone anymore. He could see a masked man looking at him and Luffy with a condescending look, but he wasn't by himself. The rest of CP9 have gathered at the balcony all looking down at the two of them. And last of all, perched above them on a ledge like a gargoyle, was the assassin that shared his curse.

"Gylzar…" Gian thought as his fist clenched. The agent looked down at him, their gazes met as the CP9 member grinned sadistically.

"You really want to die Robin?" Luffy called out again "Is death really what you want?"

"That's right!" Robin shot back "Just leave me here!"

Meanwhile, Spandam was already long laughing in glee at the sight "Look at that! He's wasted all this effort and she doesn't even care!"

"We should go and eliminate them soon." Lucci stated.

"Nah, let this play out. I want to see the look of despair on his face when he realizes there's nothing he can do!" Spandam snickered again.

"Robin, you really made that choice huh?" Luffy grunted again "Well, we already came all this way. So first we're taking you with us, then if you still want to die then die once we get back!" and as he said that, the roof behind him burst open, revealing a now leaping Zoro followed by the remaining Straw Hats. The fight below was still raging, with the remaining foremen and their allies clearing a path for the Straw Hats to proceed.

"What the-? How did you get here before me?!" an irate Sanji snapped at Zoro as their competitiveness rose again.

"Why would you ever think you could be faster?" Zoro shot back "Did you-"

"NO ONE CARES ABOUT THAT!" Nami snapped "We almost got killed by you because you decided to go through the roof!"

Chopper blinked before gasping "Guys, where's Sogeking?" but even as he asked that did they hear a scream gradually growing louder as they saw the sniper soar past the rooftop. Apparently their new giant friends decided to give him a little boost. The long nose landed with a crash, but managed to dust himself off and present himself.

"WHHHAAAA-?! HOW DID ALL OF THE STRAW HATS MAKE IT HERE?!" Spandam wailed.

"They just keep coming one after another." Kaku noted.

"All the more for us to kill." Gylzar, still perched on his ledge, grinned.

"See that Robin?" Gian gestured "You got yourself an entire entourage waiting for you! But I have to add on to something you said: You said you wanted to die, well I'm gonna tell you the truth. I really don't want that!"

Robin gasped upon hearing that as he continued "The truth is, I believe that the world is a lot duller without you in it. Even if other people deem you as a curse to the world, I see you only as a light that light my world up!" He coughed slightly, this might not be the right time for this but hell, there's really a chance he might not make it out so screw caution.

"Maybe a small bit of this is so that you'd at least think about going to get coffee with me after all this is over, wait that's a usual location for a first date, is that a bit clichéd? If so, I can pick somewhere-"

"GET TO THE POINT!" the others chided.

"-but I truly don't wish for you to die. I want you here with me Robin, We want you here with us!" Gian finished, and this was something everyone agreed to.

"Yeah Robin! Come back!"

"Come back with us, Robin!"

And upon hearing that, Robin really didn't have anything to say. A swirling cauldron of emotions were mixing inside of her. Never had she felt genuine comradery with the people she's associated herself with, and even as she got attached to the Straw Hats, deep down she still feared that she might be betrayed. But now? That was no longer the case.

These guys really cared about her. But how could she condemn them to death?

"WRROOOOAGHHH! YOU GUYS ARE SUCH GOOD FRIENDS TO EACH OTHER!" Franky, ever the emotional man, was in waterworks after that declaration.

But that moment was shattered by more grating laughter as Spandam only saw the whole thing with contempt.

"Oh my, you guys are really trying too hard at this! It'd be hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic!" Gian growled upon hearing that.

"Hey, clam it Phantom of the Opera! You're ruining a moment here!"

"SHUT UP PIRATE SCUM!" Spandam snarled "You really had a lot of nerve coming here! Well let me let you in on a secret! Nico Robin is never going to agree!"

"You talk too much!" Luffy shouted.

"You face the might of one of the most fortified areas of the World Government! Against you are the most powerful agents of all the Cipher Pol units!" Spandam shot back "And most of all, there's this!" and Spandam pulled from his pocket a gold colored Den Den Mushi. His grin doubled, but beside him was the opposite reaction. Robin's eyes widened in horror as she recognized it; the same device that, 20 years ago, caused her entire world to be shattered.

"Do you know what this is? This is the Golden Den Den Mushi that can trigger a Buster Call with a click of a button! Nico Robin knows exactly what this does! After all she's unlucky enough to survive one while the rest of her demonic kin were cleansed by the flames of cannon fire!" Spandam grinned sadistically "An entire island was wiped out, what hopes do you have?"

"The Buster Call, the same one that wiped out Robin's home…" Chopper gulped.

"Shitty mask, I'm gonna kick him off the wall." Sanji seethed.

Gian glared back "Get in line."

"If you even think of taking one more step, I will-"

"STOP!" and Robin's voice was completely different from the sight of it. Gian's heart ached when he heard her voice; Robin was always one thing, calm, sarcastic at times and even teasing. But this time the emotion he felt was only one thing.

Fear.

"Don't do that! You can't activate the Buster Call!"

"AHAHAHA! DO YOU SEE THAT?!" Spandam cackled "Just one look at this and she knows her place! Well tell me this, why shouldn't I click that button?"

"You don't know what you're doing! You have no idea what you'd unleash!"

"Robin… I think I understand now." Gian frowned "When you're back, I'll make sure you never have to be afraid ever again."

"Oh, I know exactly what I will call upon!" Spandam leered "One click, and the chances of those pirates surviving plummets to zero!"

"IT'S NOT THAT SIMPLE! IF YOU UNLEASH THE BUSTER CALL IT'S NOT JUST PIRATES WHO DIE, EVERYONE ON THIS ISLAND DIES!" the scene of destruction never left her mind after this long, and what she had to do to survive afterwards, to think it may be repeated today. She simply cannot allow anyone to live through that ever again, especially not the people she cares about.

"Don't bullshit me, you bitch! Why would my own allies fire while I'm still here?" Spandam spat.

"20 years ago, a Buster Call took everything from me. It ruined the lives of every person on Ohara, in a split second."

Robin shook as she continued "And now that same attack is aimed at the nakama that took me in, that accepted me when I did not want it to." Her eyes, watery, were focused fully on Gian now "And on one person, who I came to cherish, who shared my darkness, yet was able to find light." The Kaiju-Zoan user's fist clenched down. The pain she felt, right now he felt it too.

"I try to tell myself, that this time it would be alright. But the more I open myself, the more my past bares its fangs at those I care about the most. Because my enemy is the world! And the darkness that follows it! And it will hunt me wherever I go!"

The rest of the Straw Hats were all silent as they processed all the words that were spoken.

"You were forced to save me from Aokiji, and now you're swept up here too. This is twice that my past have gotten you all involved. If this continues, then even kind hearted people like you will one day see me as a burden and betray me too! That's what I'm truly afraid of! If the day comes when the people I've come to care about the most turns on me I'd much rather just die now!"

"Robin…" Everyone mumbled solemnly. They all know by now her reasons, but still they could not believe just how much she's dealing with.

"I'll never leave you behind, you can count on that. It's like you said, I shared your darkness, but was brought into the light. Now, I'm going to bring you to that light with me." Gian thought.

"Robin, before you say anything else. I just want to bring back one thing." Gian spoke "Our last night in those ruins, just a few days ago. You said to me specifically 'A person's destiny is complicated, one day you will believe you're on one path, but destiny throws you a curve and takes you in another.'" Robin couldn't speak, she remembers those words but she never expected the man she came to care about throw them right back at her "If you think you're destined to die, then I can't change your mind. But I want to make it clear: I believe that you're true calling is out there, and it's to show the world the truth! You've never been afraid before, why are you so afraid to live now?" he smiled at her "Those words have been in my mind since that night, and it's because of you that I'm now no longer afraid to face what's to come."

"Are you done? You're desperation was entertaining at first but now it's just boring!" But Robin never got chance to reciprocate her thoughts, for Spandam once again hijacked the conversation. Gian's eyes flashed a feral light as he gritted his teeth.

"Ok, I'm seriously going to kill him if this keeps up…"

"Easy, we're all dying to do that." Sanji growled.

"Let me make it clear one more time, there's no one that won't think that she's a burden, as long as what pursues her is the entire world itself!"

"Look at that flag!" Spandam pointed to the top of the Judicial Tower "That flag represents the unity of 170 nations under the World Government! It represents the balance that's shared by the 3 great powers of the world! Do you insignificant pirates really think you can stand up to that? Do you know just what she's hunted by?"

"So that's it, Robin's enemy…" Luffy mused.

"Luffy, you seem like you get it." Gian noted. The captain only nodded back.

"Yes, I do. Then in that case, there's only one thing we can do."

And the words that followed tossed everything Robin believes in upside down.

"Sogeking." Luffy's words, though softly spoken, were heard by all "Shoot down that flag."

"Roger that." The masked sniper affirmed as he loaded up a pellet "I've been hanging onto this weapon for a long time. It's known as Kabuto, the greatest long ranged weapon. Behold its power: Hissatsu: Firebird Star!"

Spandam's jaw almost hit the ground as the sight of the flaming shot, shaped exactly like its namesake, soared through the air towards its intended target. The moment it hit, there was only one result: the flag of the World Government was instantly set ablaze!

And the reaction that resulted was instantaneous.

"THE PIRATES HAVE JUST DECLARED WAR ON THE WORLD GOVERNMENT!"

"THOSE PIRATES REALLY DID IT NOW!" The marines and agents on the ground below, gathering to combat the invaders, all gawked at the display.

"YOU ARE ALL OUT OF YOUR MINDS!" to say Spandam out of all people was shaken to his core at the act was an understatement. Even in the face of such a force, those pirates not only didn't back down, but kept pressing forwards. "THE ENTIRE WORLD WILL BECOME YOUR ENEMY NOW! DO YOU HONESTLY THINK YOU'LL SURVIVE?"

Most of all was Robin, the very act impacted her very being. These pirates, her friends, would sooner risk the entire world crashing against them just to save her. They wanted her, she was accepted by them, no matter what the story becomes. As tears slowly began to well up in her eyes, she heard Luffy shout one thing:

"I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THAT!" was Luffy's responses "ROBIN, I NEED TO HEAR IT FROM YOU RIGHT NOW!"

"TELL ME YOU WANT TO LIVE!"

Robin gasped at the declaration, barely able to hold her emotions in. The rest of the Straw Hats, all looking at her with utmost confidence. And then there was Gian, the Kaiju-Zoan user had a thin smile on his face, but he was holding his hand out towards her.

As if to gesture that he'll grab onto her, and never let her go.

"The ocean is vast, and though you may feel fear right now, somewhere out there are true nakama willing to accept you! Go live with them, Robin!"

Words from 20 years ago, ringing true today. Even as all the other insults and venom spewed in her name as the Devil's Child, that's what trumps all of it.

And really, in this time, there was only-

"I WANT TO LIVE! TAKE ME AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, TAKE ME OUT TO SEA WITH YOU!"

Her tears were flowing freely now, she poured her whole heart out in one swift declaration. And her crew only smiled, finally she realized where she truly belonged.

"YEEEAAAAH THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!" Franky bawled from beside her.

"N-NO WAYYYY!" Spandam only howled at that.

The drawbridge leading to the Tower of Justice suddenly clicked to life as it began to lower. The Straw Hats looked down to see the Franky Family give them a thumbs up as they've accomplished their task. Even Franky himself, eyes still leaking tears, gawked at the sight.

"Y-You guys?!" he never expected them to come, he never even expected them to know about all this, but here they are, his underlings that he's recruited over the last 8 years. All of them, here right now and calling out to him!

"We've come to save you, Aniki!" Zambai shouted.

"Y-YOU JERKS! NOBODY TOLD YOU TO COME SAVE ME!" and cue the waterworks yet again as the cyborg cried his heart out.

"They are very emotional." Gian commented.

"It's a like a big extended family." Nami noted.

"The drawbridge is half way down!" Chopper pointed.

"Come on… lower faster!" Zoro growled.

"Fuck it, I'm not waiting anymore!" Gian growled again "We're jumping!"

"HERE WE GO!" Luffy grinned.

"WAAAH! D-DON'T COME CLOSER!" Spandam jumped at the fearsome sight, before looking at his subordinates. CP9 on the other hand doesn't seemed to be bothered at all, in fact they even seemed to be looking forward to it! "D-Don't just stand there! Do something! Somebody get Cutty Flam, I need to get out of here!" The director barked as he snatched Robin and prepared to leave, he was about to exit the balcony when the actions of one cyborg made him freeze.

"Oi, Spanda, you looking for this?"

Spandam almost choked upon seeing what Franky was taunting him with. In the cyborg's hands are a stack of worn out papers, neatly folded and displaying one word: Pluton. The cyborg's chest cavity was open like a drawer; the front portion acting as a storage unit for the important documents.

"T-The blueprints!"

"Got your attention now, don't I?" Franky goaded "For once you actually got something right!"

"H-Hand them over!" Spandam shouted "Lucci! Anyone? Stop him!"

"They were inside of his body this whole time?" Kaku noted.

"Troublesome, we should've just ripped them out of his chest if we knew." Lucci growled.

"You know, you all got me thinking. They say Nico Robin wants to awaken Pluton for her own gain, but from what I saw just now I know she's not a monster. You, on the other hand, cannot be trusted with something this powerful! If I just handed them over, it would mean everything that Tom and Ice-for-Brains sacrificed over the last couple of years would be in vain! So I'm gonna do the only logical thing right now, and that's take a gamble with Nico Robin's friends!"

"W-Wait! What do you think you're doing! Those are mine!"

But the director's shout of indignation were for nothing as Franky puffed out a gout of flames, incinerating the blueprints of one of the Ancient Weapons into ashes. He'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy the outrage on Spandam's face at the moment.

"YOU BASTARD! WE SPENT 5 YEARS TRYING TO OBTAIN THAT!" Spandam howled.

"And with one action I just ruined all that! And if the Straw Hats get their victory, then you'd have nothing left! I'm willing to bet that as the end result!"

"YEAH, SHOW EM FRANKY-ANIKI!" The rest of the cyborg's followers all cheered.

"This drawbridge is lowering too slowly! We're gonna fall through!" Sanji shouted.

"Hell no, we aren't!" Gian shouted "We didn't get this far just to fall down a waterfall!" and indeed, that notion seemed to be shared by the timely arrival of yet another party. The Straw Hats were a bit surprised when the locomotive of Rocket Man rammed through the courthouse.

"Ngagaga! The bridge may only be half down, but I can still get you all across!" Kokoro grinned as her would be passengers landed on the roof as they continued their airborne charge. It was a nice feeling; years ago her old friend Tom once built the former Pirate King's ship, and now his legacy were all currently aiding the crew that will one day conquer the Grand Line as well.

"Wait… she's still DRUNK?!" Gian shouted "This is pushing the safety limit is it not?"

"Wait for me!" a thud from behind them showed Franky landing on the roof as well "Spanda pushed me off and he took Nico Robin too. They have to go past the Bridge of Hesitation before they reach the Gates of Justice. We have some time but we need to hurry."

"That is if we don't crash first!" Luffy screamed as Rocket-Man continued to surge towards the Tower of Justice. Franky's eyes opened wide as he realized his predicament.

"WAIT KOKORO-BAA-"

When they came too they were all gathering themselves after they slammed through the wall. Rocket Man was now lying on its side, as Kokoro chuckled as she got back up.

"Ngagagaga, I got a nosebleed."

"YOU SHOULD'VE GOTTEN SOMETHING WORSE!" Franky shouted back.

"YOSH! We've made it!" Luffy bellowed. He was completely uninjured during the whole ordeal; in fact none of them were hurt at all, despite the dangerous looking accident.

"You guys are freaks…" Franky commented. They just smashed through a wall, and these pirates were already up and ready to go? He respects their strength plenty but this was getting to be a little too much!

"Alright, which way to Robin?" Gian looked around before spotting a staircase that seemingly led further up into the tower "Never mind, I think I found it."

"We're coming Robin!" Luffy shouted.

Their departure was cut short abruptly however, when a dark shadow fell towards them from the roof. Everyone leapt back startled as the mass just daintily landed.

"Chapapapa! Looking for Nico Robin? Well good luck with that! She'll be harder to find than you think!"

"A CP9 member!" Chopper pointed.

"Get out of our way!" Gian snarled "We don't have time to deal with you!"

"Ahh, but we've been given orders to specifically destroy all of you!" Fukuro chirped as he spun around the group "The Director is on his way to the Gate, and he is backed by Lucci and Gylzar. Besides, even if you did reach the Gates of Justice before the chief, Nico Robin would never be free! She's wearing kairoseki cuffs, they're as hard as diamond, and unlike 'Beast Warrior' back on the train there's no Gylzar with you to cut them apart this time around so don't think you can just break them off, Chapapapa!"

"The only way to free her is to obtain a key, a key that I just so happen to have on me!" Fukuro snickered as he took out an ornate key from his breast pocket "Without this, she'll never be free of the shackles!"

"Then hand them over, right now!" Luffy snapped as he shot his arm forwards, but the zipper mouthed man already flitted away with a single Soru.

"Chapapa! You're so quick to do things! I said I had a key, I didn't say that it was the right key! There are 5 different keys located all over the tower, all under possession of a different CP9 member! Beat us and you'll get a key, but lose to us and you'll lose your life!"

"Shit, so that's their plan! They're using this to divide us up in order to waste our time!" Zoro cursed.

"And by then, that Shitty Mask would've already gone through the Gates of Justice with Robin-Chan!"

Blue flames began to flicker as Gian gritted his teeth "Why don't I just rush straight for her then?"

"Chapapapa!" Fukuro laughed "That's a good plan, but if you do that then I'll just drop this key down the waterfall! You can't really afford to lose one, can you? She's be shackled forever otherwise! Happy Hunting!" And with that the owl like man Sorued away, leaving the group wondering what to do.

"Damn it! They've played us right into their hands!" Luffy yelled.

"We need to hurry!" Gian shouted "Beat them all up if you have to!"

"Hold on, we need to figure out a plan. Just going after them one by one is too much of a waste of time." Zoro warned.

"Then the simplest way is to figure out who has what." Sanji said "That zipper mouth said that there are 5 CP9 members here. Luffy already defeated Blueno, so aside from that zipper mouth there's 4 other people somewhere in this tower."

"And with Lucci and Gylzar being where Robin is right now, then that means-" Nami deduced.

"-We're going after them!" Luffy grunted "I'm gonna kick that Pigeon Guy's ass!"

"Those two seem like the strongest in the group, which means we'll leave them to you two." Sanji nodded "The rest of us, find them CP9 members and beat them up without hesitation! We don't have time on our side this time, so if Robin-chan goes past that Gate then it's all over! This time, make sure you win even if you die!"

"OW! Then let's go kick some World Government Ass!" Franky yelled.

"Let's go Luffy!" Gian barked as he and his captain rushed off. Everyone went off into separate directions, determined to find a key.

"Where are they? They could be anywhere!" Luffy wondered. Logically, the two were running up the stairs, figuring that the Gates of Justice must be beyond the tower, and with nowhere to go but up, that was probably where they were.

"They're that way, I know it." Luffy looked beside him to see his First Mate's eyes glowing a steady fire within them. Gian was practically skipping steps, his body more hunched over and focused.

"How do you know?"

Gian narrowed his eyes "Gylzar's Aura, I can sense him. And that zipper guy said he and Lucci were escorting Robin away, didn't he? I don't know how I'm suddenly just able to sense Aura so easily, but I can feel a dark presence somewhere above us. Ever since the night at Galley-La it's like I'm on sensory overload. My powers are coming easier now, and I'm gonna burn that edgelord to a crisp!"

"Gylzar, he's the spy guy, right? He cut you up bad back at the mansion!"

"…I guess you can call him that. But this time, I'm breaking his face!" Gian nodded "He's a got Kaiju-Zoan just like me, and I don't know if this is the best way to explain it, but there's something called Aura that we can sense amongst those who've eaten similar fruits."

Luffy pursed his lips; he doesn't fully understand the concept of Aura or much else about his friend's Kaiju-Zoan. He never thought much into that topic, but right now Gian seemed to be 100% certain that they were going to save Robin. That was enough for him, and he simply nodded.

"I'm sure we'll find them if we just follow this path."

They continued running, but the stairs seemed unending. Eventually, the stairs finally opened to reveal a large room, one wide open with a large hole on its side. Gian frowned, something wasn't right. Looking out a back window his stomach sank as he realized one thing:

"SHIT!"

"Huh, what is it?"

"This was the room they were in before, they're long gone by now!" Gian cursed "It doesn't lead to the Gates of Justice at all!"

"EH?!" Luffy gasped until his eyes bugged out when he saw what was in Gian's line of sight. There, far in the distance, was the towering Gates of Justice separated from them by a swirling sea; they had ran all the way to the top of the tower, further from their intended goal "Then why was that spy guy's aura thingy coming from up here?"

Gian growled "They tricked us. Gylzar probably told that zipper guy to tell us that he was escorting Robin as well. In truth it was only Lucci and that bastard of a director! He's led us up here! Now we're almost all the way up the tower and we've only managed to waste too much time!"

"DAMN IT!" he roared, the fire around him about to combust.

"That jerk!" Luffy shouted "He played us for fools!"

"He somehow knew I'd seek him out, that his Aura would lead us to him! That's why he led us up here!" Gian seethed with rage "We need to go back down!" he was about to leave until his eyes widened as he heard whistling in the air.

"LUFFY LOOK OUT!"

The Captain blinked until he too heard the sound of something flying through the air. With a gasp he ducked, with good timing too, as twin saw blades whistled past his head, just barely missing him and embedding themselves into the stone floor. Gian glared around until he felt a saw blade carve into his shoulder, causing him to roar in pain and fall to the ground.

"Khahahaha! Is it sadistic of me to say that I'm enjoying the sight of this too much?"

"GYLZAR!" Gian roared out. Luffy gasped as he saw the black-clad assassin hanging from the ceiling, before he dropped back down with a light floating motion.

"How does it feel, 'Beast Warrior'? To come so close to rescuing the woman in your heart only to have her snatched away while you, once again, can only helplessly watch as she's subjected to her fate?"

"WHERE IS ROBIN?!"

"Oh, the Devil's Child? Lucci and Director Spandex already took her away. They're somewhere where you'd never find them."

"Did you know what she said as she was taken away? She says that you were her hope!" Gylzar continued to taunt "Some hope that turned out to be! I wonder what she'll think as the doors close behind her and you've still not shown up? Would her love turn to hate at the last second or-"

"SHUT UP! YOU WON'T STOP US!" Gylzar scowled as Luffy's loud yell broke Gian out of his rage-filled stupor.

"I promised Gian, I won't let any more of our Nakama get taken from us!" the captain looked out the window; it was a high drop, but compared to other things he's fallen off of as a child this was nothing. His rubber body could handle a drop, and he was too determined to stop anyway.

"So he's gonna kick your ass right here!"

"And where do you think you're going?" before Luffy could do anything, Gylzar already used Soru to get behind him, his curved blades raised and ready to slash "Last time I checked, you were both supposed to die here!"

Which ultimately amounted to nothing as a flaming fist drove itself into his face!

"You know what? I have so much bundled up anger right now, that if it weren't for the fact I was strapped for time, I would've gone ahead and PULVERIZED YOU INTO MUSH!" Gian screamed out. The blue fire swirled around him, akin to a small tornado. Each eye was now glowing so much it was almost as if they were red.

"Luffy… go save her for me. Tell her that I'll see her when all this is done."

Luffy grinned "Yeah, you just make sure that guy pays!" and then he leaped out of the window, back towards the bottom of the tower. Gian growled as he turned back around.

"Get up… I'm not done flaying the skin from your face yet!"

And then a dark shade crackled around Gylzar, the assassin rearing up almost straight.

"You're really inconsiderate 'Beast-Warrior…'" Gyzlar growled, the visor on his eyes already splintering. He raised a glove and took it off, revealing the eyes underneath. One eye, organic and flesh, his sclera the color of winter cherries. The other, a pure mechanical red orb, zoomed in on his target's face "I just got those visors replaced."

"You're gonna need your entire face replaced after this!" Gian shouted, Atom Splitter was off his back now, slamming into the stone floor with a CRASH!

"There it is, the rage!" Gylzar grinned "You know it's there don't you? That inhuman anger you feel? And you're using it to fuel your motivations!" the assassin's grin widened further.

"COME ON THEN! I'M THE ONE WHO'S MADE YOU LASH OUT! COME AND SATE YOUR FURY!"

Gian needed no further motivation, only let out a battle roar and charged. Gylzar grinned and met his opponent head on, the two clashing Kaiju-Zoan users coming together with a loud BANG as the wind suddenly picked up within the room and began to pick up…

Meanwhile:

During this time, the others were also running into their own problems.

"There's gotta be a kitchen somewhere in here right?" Franky groaned as he ran along the corridors "This does have people living in it usually after all! I gotta find cola!" his cyborg body was running on fumes now; the struggles throughout the last day and a half have left his reserves very low. In order to combat CP9, he needed to refuel.

But a sudden boom in front of him caused him to falter. Rising from the rubble, the massive form of Fukuro raised out.

"Heard you were looking for a key, Cutty Flam! Well you'll have to face Fukuro the Silent first!" Franky cursed, there's no avoiding it now.

"Strong Hammer!"

"Tekkai!"

Franky's iron fist slammed into the iron body of his foe, enough to cause the owl like man to skid a few inches but was overall ineffective. The assassin grinned as he threw a punch that caused the Cyborg to tumble.

"Damn it…! Normally I could've actually done something but my reserves are too low! If I don't get some cola quick, I'm not gonna have the strength to fight!"

As this was happening, Sogeking was also running down multiple hallways, looking into doors. Unlike Franky however, he was more hesitant.

"Gosh… everyone is so strong! Those CP9 guys aren't messing around! How am I supposed to fight through this?" It would seem, even in his hero persona, Usopp's fear still shone through.

And it seems like his fear was not unfounded, as he opened a door his heart sank as he suppressed a yelp. Lying down right in front of him was Jabra, his eyes closed as he leaned on his arm, asleep. Usopp audibly gulped, but a glint on the ground in front of the assassin made him pause.

"That's the key! He looks pretty out of it too! If I can grab it without him noticing, then I can make off with it!"

Cautiously, he tiptoed over, reaching out for the key. And it just so happened now that Jabra chose to snap his eye open.

"HE WOKE UP!"

"Well, hello there! You looking for something?"

"Ehehe… Nothing at all!" 'Sogeking' stammered "Just checking up on you!"

"Ah, that's quite thoughtful. Thank you." Usopp gave a shaky grin at that, until all the air was knocked out of him and he slammed into a wall.

"Oh, by the way, you were the one that shot the flag weren't you?" Jabra leered "You've got quite an aim! Sorry I hurt you a bit there, but don't worry," Usopp gaped as the man began to morph right in front of him. Jabra's muscles swelled as his face lengthened into that of a canine's. Grey fur sprouted over his body as his fingernails lengthened into claws.

"I'll end you quickly now! Unlike Lucci and Gylzar I don't like torturing my prey!"

Usopp only gulped as he gripped his slingshot. Even under disguise, it seemed like he's outclassed.

In another corner of the tower, Nami was running. Gripping her newly upgraded Clima-tact, she couldn't even use it as the pink hair turned the corner and pursued her.

"Yoyoi Yoyoi!" Kumadori bellowed as he gave chase "Now that I know you're here, I cannot let you leave!"

"Damn it! I can't form any weather balls with this guy on hot pursuit!" Nami cursed, until the pursuing hair wrapped themselves around her ankles, causing her to trip. Kumadori posed as his hair continued to constrict the woman, Nami all the while finding it harder to struggle.

"This is now over! When you head off into the afterlife, tell my Mother that I am doing well!"

"No! I can't lose here! I have to find the key!" Nami stained, but the hairs grew tighter, and her struggling continued.

A floor above her, Sanji was also having troubles.

"I can't believe I let you distract me!" he yelled as he threw a kick. Kalifa only chuckled as she countered with her own. Sanji, previously entranced by the beauty of the blond assassin, almost paid for it with his life.

"My my, it's like you aren't even into this battle. Do you really want to save your friend? Shigan!"

Sanji cursed as he was forced to dodge the finger stab. Of course he wanted to save Robin, above anything else. But his opponent presented him with a rather unfortunate problem, at least one that was more rooted psychologically. Kalifa was jumping all around him, but Sanji was hardly going on the offensive.

"Damn it, why did my opponent have to be a lady? Even though she's the enemy, I just can't bring myself to hit a girl…!"

This fact was one Kalifa did not miss. As a Rankyaku knocked the cook onto his back, he looked up to see what appears to be bubbles coming out of the woman's hands.

"Maybe if you didn't see me as a woman, this would be easier on you."

"Shut it, just give me the key and no one gets hurt!" Sanji snapped back.

"Oh, that's a shame. Perhaps I should show you, just how dangerous I can be?" and Sanji was kicked back into the wall, gasping painfully as he tried to get up.

"If you're whole crew fights like you, getting rid of you pirates won't be as difficult as I originally thought." Kalifa grinned as more bubbles began to swirl around her. Sanji couldn't do anything as a wave of foam washed over him, and his world became white.

A few floors down, the clash of steel was ringing as swords began to clash. Zoro and Kaku were in the midst of a duel, one that they did not manage to complete earlier.

"I have to say, as much as it is my mission to stop you here, I'm glad you made it." Kaku grinned "Back at the mansion I never got to test your full power, and I never expected you to come!"

"Be careful what you wish for, I might just cut you!" Yubashiri clashed with one of Kaku's swords, sparks flying as the two swordsman jumped back. Zoro grinned; he may be preoccupied, but he too welcomes the chance to test his strength.

"Don't underestimate me, my swordsmanship is the strongest CP9 has ever seen." Kaku boasted. It wasn't a lie, never before has the agency seen a talented generation like them, and Kaku was no exception to that fact. "It would be fun to test my Yontoryu against the imfamous Roronoa Zoro."

"Yontoryu, huh? It seems like your entire body is a weapon then." Zoro grinned "Well, my blades crave blood right now, so I'm more than glad to take that challenge!"

"Scary." Kaku smirked before leaping up. Zoro's eyes widened as the man began to rapidly kick his legs.

"Rankyaku: Ran!"

Rapid fire air blades rained down on the green haired swordsman, who promptly rolled out the way as the ground around him got cut up, before charging again. The two swordsmen matched steel once more, clashing with their blades. Kaku leapt into the air again, sweeping his leg wide.

"Rankyaku: Hakurai!"

"Santoryu: Nanajuni Pound Ho!"

The two slicing gales slammed into each other as the two swordsmen charged again. "This is getting fun!" Kaku grinned.

"Well, I don't have long. So I'd have to beat you quick to get that key!"

And Kaku suddenly kicked away from him "That's a shame, I was really hoping to have an actual duel."

Zoro couldn't even speak as he witnessed the assassin's transformation. Kaku's body began to elongate, his neck beginning to stretch until he grew towered over the moss-headed swordman.

"What the hell?"

"It only means, I'll have to show you my new abilities right now."

With Gian:

Back at the top of the Tower, the room was getting torn to pieces. Not a moment passes for long before another window shatters from the force or a wall breaks to pieces. The two Kaiju-Zoan users inside were locked in heavy combat, neither giving an inch. As Gylzar slashes at him with his armblades, Gian retaliates with a flaming elbow. Each strike echoed through the room, cracking the pillars around the room bit by bit.

"You can take a lot of punishment, I'll give you that!" Gylzar sneered "All this for one woman? It's like you're not even concerned for your own fate!"

"Shut it, my life means nothing without Robin in it!" Gian snapped back "If it means I have to plow through a hundred more World Government agents like you then I'll gladly do it!"

"Like a dog backed into a corner. Let me just tell you this: I'm not even going to capture you now. Chief Spandex seemingly came to his senses and views you as too dangerous to keep alive, we'll just have to find the fruit again in its next circulation." Gylzar's machine eye glinted before firing a laser, cutting into the wall as Gian ducked and ran.

"Which means I get to butcher you however I like! And I'm gonna make you bleed!"

"Save it for someone who cares!" Gian shouted "Atom Ray!"

"Geppo!"

Gylzar leapt into the air behind Gian as the latter's heat beam lanced into the ground where he stood before. This time though, Gian was prepared as he swung Atom Splitter in a wide arc back, intending to cut Gylzar down. His glaive was met with the assassin's own twin khopesh as they clashed, straining against each other until suddenly the force knocked both their weapons flying, clattering down on the floor a few distances away.

"You don't even have a key, do you?" Gian accused. Gylzar just chuckled before he started to remove his gloves.

"Nah, the others could play their little game, I have more important stuff to do than to guard something that'll free your little girlfriend." He replied, and Gian narrowed his eyes as he saw the silver glint of metal that made up of Gylzar's mechanical limbs "I drew you up here for another reason."

"And that reason is? Besides the obvious one of wasting my time?"

"I think you know the answer to that." Gylzar grinned, he began to unbutton his trenchcoat "After all, you can feel my Aura, can you not?"

Gian frowned, but as he focused he could sense the dark energy around his foe. Betrugus' Aura was maddening and savage, Ryugetsu's was sorrowful yet wild, but Gylzar's was too simple. Gian visibly cringed when he felt the rolling emotions, one that was so disciplined, yet so dark. An aura that promised only blood and death.

"It's funny, a power like that in the hands of a criminal like yourself? In any other case it would be sickening." Gylzar's smile dropped "Why should someone like you wield a power that's enough to bring ruin to the world, and still be allowed to live?"

Gian gasped as Gylzar tossed away his coat, revealing what was bared underneath. Now topless, he could see that what was contained was truly incomprehensible.

Gylzar's entire upper body was a cross stitch of flesh and metal. A dull grey metal plate covered his abdomen, the same buzzsaw from before now spinning viciously. Two more blocks of metal covered with his pectoral was, and both of his arms all the way until the elbow was a smooth silver, the mechanical arms clenching. His mechanical eye whirred around, glowing red. Every part of his body seemed like a patchwork of man and machine."

"You're a cyborg?" Gian croaked. Gylzar only smirked.

"A byproduct of the beast within me, one that according to a few scattered texts, was a half-mechanical horror from another world. This is the Kaiju-Zoan known as the Giga-Giga no Mi. When I ate it, it granted me power, but at the cost of losing my humanity." Gylzar grinned "Power is to come at a price, but it means I can continue to punish the scum of this world, then having 65 percent of your body mechanically transmuted is a small price to pay!"

"I suffered in agony before I obtained this fruit, yet people like you and Nico Robin live with no repercussions at all! It makes me sick, how criminals can just go about unpunished, while innocent people go about suffering every day!" Gylzar shouted, the mirth lost from his voice as he glared with rage at his opponent.

"That's bullshit! Robin has suffered enough just because people viewed her as a force that'll destroy the world, her home obliterated simply because she's able to read the true history this world has locked away!" Gian shouted "And don't you dare bring up my life, you have no idea what I went through before I got this!"

"Then you should've died with that power!" Gylzar snarled "You don't deserve it, it threatens all that walk this world! That is the true reason why I brought you to face me in isolation! I will punish you with the pain you're deserved to! You will beg to atone for your sins, then I'll grant it by taking your life!"

"And I suppose the World Government would surely use it for world peace?" Gian drawled. Gylzar chuckled at that.

"If you've been alive for as long as I have, then you'd already see that nothing is truly innocent in the world. Better to contain what's dangerous, than to let it run wild."

Gian snorted "You are beyond twisted, and you're a hypocrite too! I'll make sure Robin never has anything to fear from you or the world after this!" he growled as he got into a fighting stance. The blue flames around him regathered, swirling around before forming the shape of Gojira, his Full Transformation.

Gylzar grinned "That's just what I'd expect from a criminal cornered like a rat. I'll take pleasure in killing you!" and his own Black Aura solidified, taking the shape of a cyclopean entity with twin sickles in place of arms. The two stared each other down, the unnatural gale that gathered within the room roared to life once more with renewed viciousness.

"I think we can cut straight to the chase, why don't we let loose our beasts?" Gylzar grinned as the Aura burst. When the smoke cleared, his body became black and leathery, with three blood-red fins sticking out of his shoulders. His arms replaced with twin scythe-like blades as his eyes molded into one singular blood red crescent. Gylzar let out a chirping screech as he viewed his opponent, whose own flaming tempest cleared to reveal the Partial Transformation underneath. Gian growled as his dorsal fins began to crackle with blue light, his heart pounded as power surging through him.

"I was wondering when you'd ask."

A/N: Ok, the second part of Enies Lobby! As the literal part where shit goes down, the next few chapters are nothing but fights considering where we are, if not with only minimal exposition. In general, there isn't much I want to say for this chapter, it leads up to everything else later. Most of the fights will probably be still the same, considering they're already really impactful and changing them would matter little, but Luffy v.s Lucci will probably be different, as for the climax of Enies Lobby I want to involve a much bigger conflict with all 4 of our powerhouses. How will that go down? You'll have to just wait and see!

G: Finally, some action from us!

You fought like this whole time!

G: Yeah, but I got my ass beat like twice! No more of that!

Well, maybe this time you'll get lucky. Meanwhile, I hope this chapter fills some space. School is starting to pick up so my upload rate may drop in the next few months, but I hope to get more done before the exams hit.

Aside from that, thank you for the continued attention to this story and we'll see you again.

Responses to reviews.

To Darkmaster100000:

G: That person is a sad person if they come up with that.

Also did you just spoil things?

G: Wait, why are Kokoro-baasan's feet flippers? That doesn't-

YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW THAT

To Guest:

G: The deed? In my Christian fanfiction? What are you thinking?

I mean, it may get implied, but straight up lemons are not gonna be featured. This story is rated T and will remain that way. There may be steamier moments later down the line, but they won't be explicitly shown so you'll have to use your imagination for that one. Also they won't all involve Gian and Robin, there's a lot of other pairings here too.

G: EVERYBODY FUCK!

No.

To Coduss:

The Goji-Goji no Mi will have all of Godzilla's powers available throughout the movies. Appearance wise right now it is still Final Wars Godzilla though. The same will go for other Kaiju-Zoans. They'll have their most recent incarnation as an appearance, unless otherwise stated, but will have every power the monsters have.

To Sonic7

G: Now that's how you advertise.

Yeah, I'll totally read it.

G: *whispers he won't

To Omegadramon2:

Mothra's user will be before the time skip, but it won't be for a few more arcs.

G: that's long.

She's gonna be important later.

To Ethan:

G: Well am I messed?

You are messed in so many ways.

G: Yeah and-HEY!

To Raidentensho:

You can insert just about any soundtrack into fight scenes, it's up to your imagination.

G: Burning My Soul is definitely a banger though!

To C.S Skywalker:

You know, honestly I can't blame you for that.

G: Yeah, to think Disney dug themselves into that hole with TLJ

It really is sad.

I really do need to look out for the punctuation in this story, don't I? Usually I manage to find something and fix it before it gets published, but more often than not I miss details and only realize it after reading it over. I'll try to be more mindful now, maybe it's high time for a Beta Reader?

G: We are supposed to be shipping a high quality product, you don't want to let shareholders down now, do you?

Please keep my university subjects out of your fictional world.

G: What? I like to learn.

But thank you for pointing that out, sometimes, as I mentioned, I tend to rush and miss things. I'll be more careful now.

G: Also he's buzzed on coffee as he's writing this, let's see how many mistakes he makes!

To Kristopher b:

Yes, Gian will be present at Marineford. Marineford is going to be massive in this version, there will be 4 Kaiju-Zoan users total in that part that's actively involved. I won't name names, but you can start to guess. And unfortunately, I think I will retire the Rumble Ball idea with Gian soon. It was fun while it lasted, but as Vergil Leonidas said many chapters ago, I don't want to rely on them too much. They'll make appearances here or there when Gian and Chopper have a few team up moments, but as Gian develops his own powers he'll begin to use them more rather than the Rumble Balls.

And that'll be all, we'll see you soon!

Leave a review and Gian will go whitewater rafting!

G: Son, I can't swim, why are you putting me in that situation?
