Chapter 48. Childish Ron

In order to celebrate the victory of the Hogwarts champion, everyone came to the dining room. The elves brought plenty food.

However, Della was on the hospital wing. Because Madam Pomfrey was waiting for her expressly at the door of the dining room and said to her, "Della, I don't think you look well! Come with me, I'll take a check-up for you."

Fred wanted to come with her, but Madam Pomfrey insisted that Della was all she needed — maybe it's just a cold — she comforted Fred.

"I'm fine, just need a glass of potion. You wanna go with me?" She said.

Fred remembered the taste of potion and shook his head. "Honey, see you in the dining room, Ok? Come to me after you go back."

Della nodded, followed Madam Pomfrey, and fell asleep after a glass of potion.

Professor Snape appeared in a hurry. Madam Pomfrey closed the door of the hospital wing, and asked anxiously, "Severus, what's the matter? Why did Albus ask me to bring her here?"

Snape shook his head seriously. The girl in the bed was sleeping soundly and seemed to have no problem.

"He just doubted… he suspected she has been put under the Imperius curse." He pulled out his wand. "I'll check it out for her. If everything goes well, she can go back and celebrate with her friends."

Madam Pomfrey put hand to her mouth with tears in her eyes and murmured, "god! Who would be so cruel to her…"

The glimmer of the spell fell on her, without any ominous reaction. She's still sleeping.

Madam Pomfrey was surprised, "that means she's ok, isn't it?"

Snape shook his head. "It could be another spell."

Madam Pomfrey: "you know all about it, don't you?"

Snape rolled his eyes impolitely, and tried other one.

Della: zzzZZZ

Madam Pomfrey went through worry to calmness, "she's ok, right?" "What did you give her?" Snape asked suspiciously.

"A little bit Draught of the Living Death. I also give some to Mrs. Norris when she cried too loud."

Snape took back his wand unwillingly, "seems that she doesn't have any problems."

At this point, the door of the hospital wing was knocked. Madam Pomfrey immediately opened the door before Dumbledore came in: "thank you. Poppy."

He walked in quickly. "I left Alastor in the dining room for Harry. So, how's it? Is everything all right?"

His sharp blue eyes scanned over the sleeping girl in the bed and breathed a sigh of relief.

Snape: "I don't see anything wrong with her except her acne."

Madam Pomfrey gave him a hard pat as she passed. "Don't be so mean, Severus." Then she went to the cabinet to get some Acne Cream for her. Apply it once or twice, her acne would disappear.

Snape asked Dumbledore, "didn't you distrust her all of a sudden, did you?"

Dumbledore: "She gave me a start today, Severus. But as long as it turns out to be good, that's fine. Poppy," He said to Madam Pomfrey, "wake up Della, tell her to go back to the dining room, she can celebrate with her friends. I'm waiting for her in my office tomorrow."

Snape: "Will you have time tomorrow? I bet you that the giantess of Beauxbatons and Karkaroff can't wait to go. You'll be stuck all day."

Dumbledore strode out with Snape.

"Leave them. I don't have time to deal with them." Dumbledore said coldly, "but Mrs. Maxime will stay for a few days. You're going to see Dumstrang off tomorrow morning, and you know what to do if Karkaroff keep on at you."

Snape nodded, "as you command."

The door of the hospital wing was slammed.

Hospital wing had become quiet again.

Madam Pomfrey had another glass of potion and a small box of Acne Cream on the tray to the nightstand and woke Della up. "Come on, take this, you'll feel better."

After drinking the weird taste potion, Della felt more lucid than ever before! The spirit of the whole person was different!

"It works!" She said in surprise.

Madam Pomfrey said with a smile, "you can look in the mirror later, you look great now. Is it because of the exam recently? Did you stay up late? Or eat improperly?"

"Yes! Yes!" Della kept nodding.

Madam Pomfrey said solemnly, "that's why you're in a bad look! You must pay attention in the future!"

"Yes, I will!" Della jumped out of bed. Madam Pomfrey held her and gave her the small box, "stay up late will lead to acne on the face. Take this, it will remove your acne immediately, then you can go back to the celebration. Most of girls may be changing their robes in the dormitories, you won't miss it."

"Thank you, madam." Della said gratefully.

"Here you go." Madam Pomfrey sent her to the door and said smilely, as if she had just remembered, she added, "by the way, I met Headmaster Dumbledore just now, he asked you to find him tomorrow."

Della nodded, "tomorrow? I see."

In the dining room, people were celebrating. While Dumstrang's students were all back on board, they didn't seem to be in the mood to celebrate with the Hogwarts.

The witches of Beauxbatons were still here, dancing on the floor. Maybe it because of their headmistress, Mrs. Maxime had been dancing with Hagrid, and she must seldom meet a man of her size.

Hermione told Ron not to be so mean. Seeing Della coming back, she took Harry off the dance floor.

Della thought she was in a good spirit, but she didn't find Fred, "why are you here alone? Have you seen Fred?"

Ron was on the other side of the table, he pointed at the crowd, "maybe over there. They're surrounded by people, selling Canary Cream."

Della: "what about Lavender?"

Ron suddenly turned purple, but he didn't get angry. He muttered, "we broke up."

Della sighed, "oh, Ron! Well, I'm not surprised."

Ron lowered his head in his hands, "no, Hermione has lectured me all night. I didn't mean to!" Break-up did make him upset, he doubted if he made a mistake and should not break up?"

"Lavender told me to find my boy friend."

Della nodded: "You're really only fit to play with a boy-friend right now, Ron. You're too young to have a girl-friend."

Ron straightened up, keenly aware of what she was saying.

"What do you mean?"

"She means you are too naive, little boy." Fred ran over and mussed his little brother's hair as he pulled Della. "You're fine, aren't you? I will be with you all night! My time is all yours! Do you wanna sit and rest? I can chat with you. I'll get some drinks. What would you like to have?"

"No, I want to dance. I am very well." That potion worked!

Della pulled Fred into the dance floor, before left, she kindly said to Ron, "you really should think about it. Think about whether you're happy with Harry or Lavender. If it's the former, it means you're not old enough to date with girls, you should wait for a few years, boy."
