Enies Lobby opening: Sacrifice by 9mm Parabellum Bullet (Berserk 2017 opening)
"You finally made it, Straw Hat."
It has not been a good day for Luffy so far. Despite how simple the Tower looked, the insides were full of hidden passageways and secret chambers. Reaching the Gates of Justice was more work than getting onto Enies Lobby itself! He nearly drowned for that matter, and nothing was really making sense. It took some help from Chimney and Gonbe, who snuck onto Rocket Man when Kokoro drove it through, to lead him to a hidden underground pass that went underneath the swirling whirlpools above. And even then it wasn't easy, he had to use a new technique just to get past it.
And now there was one more obstacle. Luffy frowned as he balled his fist up. Opposite to him, Rob Lucci sneered as he looked at his foe. Spandam had already gone through the door behind him, taking their unwilling prisoner with him. No matter how much she struggles, her fate will be the same.
"Robin's behind that door isn't she? Then I'm getting her back!" Luffy shouted as he charged forwards, only for the assassin to intercept him. Luffy was sent skidding across the floor with a single kick.
"I cannot let you pass, Straw Hat." Lucci stated. Deep down, the assassin could hardly contain his excitement. He knew eventually, somehow, that the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates would find his way here, and when he saw that little girl with her pet rabbit near the location of the passageway, he knew it would only be a matter of time.
Lucci considers himself a simple man, he completes his missions without fail and he seeks no compensation for his time doing it. Since his youth he was molded into the perfect assassin, endured training that would break most people, and taking his first life at the mere age of 13. He had little in terms of pride, but nothing feels better than the sight of his targets' lives slowly slip away. Cutty Flam burning those blueprints was problematic enough, and now he was going to make sure this pirate bleeds.
Luffy only bellowed and charged again, throwing out a punch. Lucci met it with his own, the two blows colliding and knocking both back.
"Get out of my way!" the Straw Hat Captain yelled.
"Why don't you make me?" Lucci leered "Then again, even if you did, you will never see her again!"
"Gomu Gomu no Rifle!"
"Tekkai!"
The strong blow, normally capable of knocking a man off his feet, now feels as if it struck iron. Before the pirate had a chance to recover, Lucci was on him, throwing his own hand back.
"Shigan: Oren!"
Luffy cried out in pain as he was subjected to a rapid-fire finger jab.
"You really hope to save her?" the assassin taunted "With only this much power?" Luffy growled and struck again, and the two continued to trade blows.
But what the captain didn't know, was that the situation was about to drastically change very soon…
Meanwhile:
"You have to cancel it! You can't unleash the Buster Call onto this Island!"
"Why would I? This was 100 percent planned! To use the ultimate attack, we'll for sure eliminate those pirates!"
"Do you still think that's all it is?! It's not just an attack that will eliminate its target, it's an extreme focus fire that will decimate all in its path!"
"Then so be it! I'd sooner have this entire island bathed in fire before I'd let you escape!"
Those are just some of the exchange Gian heard over the broadcasting system, and it was clearly Robin and that masked guy. The Kaiju-Zoan user gasped; they were already strapped for time before, this was even worse.
"Wow, did my idiot of a Director really just broadcasted that he accidentally authorized the Buster Call to the entire island?" Gylzar cackled "It's a wonder he could do anything at all!"
"Everyone! You have to evacuate Enies Lobby now! If you don't you'll-!"
"SHUT UP! DON'T SAY UNNECESSARY THING!"
Then the broadcast cut off abruptly, but not before Gian heard something impact at the other end. A fire immediately erupted in his core.
"DID THAT SON OF A BITCH JUST HIT HER?!"
Faster than before he dashed towards the window of the top floor, but he wasn't able to make it. A cutting motion forced him to roll away, as Gylzar sent another Rankyaku flying at him with a single sweep of his sickle arms.
"I don't recall giving you permission to leave."
"Back off you edgelord! I'm making that scumbag pay!"
"Only after you die." Gylzar grinned before slashing forwards again. The blades sliced into the stone walls of the tower, cutting through it with ease as Gian tried to avoid each hit.
"These blades can cut through diamond, I wonder how easily your skin would part?"
Gian's response to that was to lash out with his tail, wrapping it around one of Gylzar's legs. With a hard yank, he heaved the assassin around in a circle before slamming him into another wall. Gylzar was up in an instant however, his twisted smile never leaving him as the buzzsaw on his abdomen began to spin.
"That's right… keep fighting! Soru: Hellflay!"
This time, Gian was able to see his Aura clearly as the assassin flitted towards him, along with a trench being craved into the floor by the buzzsaw. Rather than running away however, he braced himself and when Gylzar carved across his shoulder, Gian stomached the pain and pushed against him, gritting his teeth as the saw rends his skin. Gyzlar's one eye blinked in alarm as his foe roared in exertion and surplexed him into the ground. The floor began to crack a little bit as Gian continued his assault, pounding his fists into the other Kaiju-Zoan user before Gylzar's optic laser blinded him, causing him to be kicked off.
"Oooh, you've got some bite in you now! Is the thought of your woman potentially immolated by the fires of the World Government enough to drive you to your brink?"
"You're really pissing me off more than I already am, that's really something." Gian growled. He was about to charge again, before he felt the tower lurch and began to slide. It seemed like the building would collapse until it slowed to a grinding halt.
"What the hell? That couldn't have been the ships!"
Beside him, Gylzar also frowned; the time it takes for the warships to get here from Marineford would take 20 to 30 minutes through the Gates of Justice, so that couldn't have been it. He looked out just to see a massive wind blade expand out of the tower; a massive Rankyaku. Kaku is the most skilled with that move, so it must've been him.
"Seems like my colleagues are going on the offensive. That's more on your conscience now, are you able to save them all?"
"SHUT IT! My friends are able to take care of themselves, they're strong in their own right, and they'll get through this. I just have to concentrate on ripping you to pieces and then go save Robin!"
"Kahahaha, try it then!"
Gian's left leg lit on fire as he charged again "Atom Ax Drop!" He shouted, bringing his leg down in an axe kick.
"Shigan: Hellsabre!" Gylzar yelled and thrusted one of his blade arms forwards.
And the two Kaiju-Zoan user continued to brawl, fighting with all their might as the Buster Call drew closer…
Meanwhile:
"Kokutei Roseo!"
"WROAGH!"
Nami felt the grip around her throat loosen as she took a much needed breath of air. She looked back to see Chopper standing in Arm Point, the pink haired assassin that almost killed her now sent flying through a wall.
"Are you ok, Nami?"
"Chopper! You saved me!"
The two wasted no time and ran, hoping to plan out another form of attack against their foes. Their situation wasn't the best; as it turns out Usopp, in an attempt to strategize, unwittily handicapped Zoro by locking a pair of seastone handcuffs onto the two of them, cuffs that were meant for their Devil Fruit using opponents. Now, in addition to trying to find the key for Robin, they need to find that one too.
"Well, at least we have one…" Nami grinned slightly before fishing a key out of her breast pocket "Managed to snag this off of that creep earlier."
"That's key number 3! That doesn't fit any of them unfortunately..." Choppper noted.
Then something crashed heavily in front of them, causing them to jump back. When the dust cleared, they were shocked to see who it was.
"SANJI-KUN!"
The cook was battered and bruised, having been handed a rather humiliating defeat. Nami and Chopper ran over, the latter immediately attempting to do some first aid. It was then that they noticed a small detail: Sanji's skin and hair were now buttery smooth, and very glossy at that. It looked like he didn't even have the energy to stand.
"Sanji, what happened?" Chopper asked.
"I'm sorry, Nami-san… I lost…" Nami's breath hitched when she heard that. Sanji is supposed to be one of the strongest members of the crew; he, Zoro, Gian and Luffy were the unofficial Monster Quartet for crying out loud! Who could've been strong enough to take even him down?
But then Nami looked up, and everything made sense to her. Looking down at all of them, Kalifa had a condescending smirk on her face as bubbles still floated around her.
"…Did you even fight her seriously?" Nami sighed.
"…I'm sorry, I couldn't get the key…"
"You said before you'd never hurt a woman, but look where that got you? What if you had died here? What if a woman eventually kills you?"
"Then… I can't really help with that… It's how I was raised, I was taught to never kick a woman…" Sanji wheezed; he didn't even have any strength to stand.
"So even if it kills me… I'll never hurt a woman in my life…!"
"You idiot…" Nami sighed, in a way she should've seen it coming. Courteous Sanji, who always treated her and Robin with the utmost care. It was plain unlucky for him to find Kalifa as an opponent.
"Just leave her to me, I won't let her get away with this." Nami's eyes hardened into a glare as Kalifa only smirked back.
"Sanji-kun has his own code, and you used that to your advantage." Nami called out "You'll see that I won't be so merciful!"
"Ah, well I'll look forwards to that." Kalifa beckoned "This might be fun."
Meanwhile, Chopper had leaned the cook against a wall, Sanji still rather downcast. The reindeer's ears suddenly perked up as he heard tapping on the ground and turned to see a staff being thrusted at him.
"Yoyoi! You really think you could get away from me?" Kumadori bellowed.
"Kokutei Cross!"
Chopper, morphing into Arm Point again, faced the sage like assassin as he knocked him back again. Kumadori flipped back up, his pink hair once again waving like multiple serpents.
"It's time I sent you to see my mother! Please treat her well in the afterlife!"
Chopper gulped at the weirdo in front of him, to save Robin, he'd fight in whatever way possible.
"Go take care of her Nami! I'll handle him!" And then he charged.
Meanwhile:
The sound of skin impacting metal could be heard through the corridors of the Tower, shouts of exertion rang as the two fighters battled on. Fukuro had to admit, his cyborg opponent wasn't anything to scoff at, especially considering that Franky was currently trying to pummel him with rapid fire punches like his life depended on it. Oh wait, his life did depend on it, and despite it all that effort would not be enough; Fukuro wasn't a CP9 agent for nothing.
"Chapapapa! You punches feel like a wet napkin!" the owl like man grinned as he shrugged off some of the blows. Franky growled at the taunt, before flipping his left hand open to reveal the cannon barrel
"Weapons Left!"
The smoke cleared, only to reveal nothing. Franky gasped as he realized the assassin already flitted behind him, before raising his arms too late to receive a hard punch to the face.
"Jugan!"
Franky yelled as he slammed into the wall, groaning as he staggered up. Spitting in frustration he glared at the rotund CP9 member.
"You call that a punch? I've felt harder hits from an old lady!"
Fukuro growled before rushing at the cyborg again, only for Franky to duck under his strike. Grinning, the thug's right hand bunched together before delivering one heavy attack.
"I'll show you how to punch! Strong Hammer!"
The iron fist sank into his opponent's face, making Fukuro spit out blood as his head was knocked back. The assassin hissed in pain; loathe as he was to admit it Cutty Flam was becoming a rather annoying foe. He was sure that if he hadn't used Tekkai at that moment he would've lost some teeth. Still, no lasting damage, and he was not about to let him get another hit.
"Your punch is a wimpy punch!" Fukuro sneered, before delivering another Jugan of his own. Franky met the strikes with a punch of his own, the two fighters trading blow after blow.
The flurry of attack rushes finally ended when Franky slammed his fist into Fukuro's face so hard that it sent him flying through a stone wall. The cyborg panted; he was running dangerously low on reserves now and there is still no cola in sight.
But, as luck would have it, that was about to change.
"The kitchen! And it's got a massive fridge!" Franky grinned as he saw the room he smashed his opponent into. Guess he was closer to it then he thought! That ice box looked like it could store enough food for a year, it's bound to have the carbonated drink he's looking for!"
"I don't know what these CP9 guys like to drink, but I doubt they'd not have cola in stock!"
He ran to the refrigerator as fast as he could, intent on refueling right away. But he soon found that he wasn't out of the woods just yet.
"Chapapapa! Where do you think you're going?!" Fukuro shouted as he launched a Rankyaku, the wind blade knocking Franky to the ground, mere feet from the ice box. Gritting his teeth, the cyborg tried to reach the handle, but Fukuro was already on him,
"I've wasted enough time on you already, I'm gonna turn you into scrap with this!" Franky gasped as he saw the owl like man raise both fists.
"Jugan Ultimate Techinque: Fukuro Dataki!"
And the cyborg was treated to a rapid fire pummeling of hardened fists, even his metal interior threatened to buckle! Franky strained in pain, he's so close to the fridge!
"RRRRGH! Beans Left!"
Franky's left hand popped open, small explosive balls popping of the turrets, exploding on contact. They weren't big enough to do lasting damage, but the distraction was all he needed to wrench the fridge open and lock it behind him.
"Alright, that chapapa guy won't be down for long, I got to find cola fast!" he growled; there were way too many drinks in here! Franky literally took dozens off of the shelf, looking for the particular sugary drink he required. All the while, the refrigerator door was being dented, Fukuro was back on the attack.
"Come on, Come on, where's the cola?" Franky thought desperately "Tomato juice, melon juice, vegetable juice?! Why do they have so many drinks? Wait, there it is! Now I can-!"
"Tekkai Dama!"
And Fukuro barreled through the door like a cannonball, ripping the fridge door off its hinges and slamming straight for Franky. It seemed like a dead on hit, until his momentum stopped.
"W-What the-?!"
"Hey, owl-guy…!" Franky grinned as he caught the assassin dead in his massive arms "There's a reason my punches have been kind of wussy back then." Fukuro's eyes widened as he saw the empty bottles of cola lying near the cyborg's feet.
"But that doesn't matter anymore! Now I'm gonna beat you to the ground!" Franky yelled as his right hand cocked back.
"STROOONG RIGHT!"
And all it took was one massive punch to send the ball like assassin through the tower walls. Franky grinned; being recharged never felt so good, and the odds were more equal now!
"Chapapa… so you've got some bite after all." Fukuro grunted as he staggered up.
"And I'm not done yet!" Franky yelled as he got into a pose "I've got plenty more in my arsenal to blow you away!" the cyborg shed his Hawaiian shirt slightly, revealing his muscular shoulders "Try this one! Franky Destroy Ho!"
With a crack, Franky's shoulders rose slightly, revealing two holes acting as cannon barrels. The cyborg winced at the motion.
"OwOwOw… I always hate this move because it dislocates my shoulders…"
"Why would you use it then?!" Fukuro sweat dropped.
"Shut it! These cannons will blast you through the wall again!"
"Tch, I'd like to see you try! As a Rokushiki user simple cannon fire will never be able to hit me!" Fukuro snapped.
"Is that so? Well you can't dodge these! These cannonballs just so happen to be seeking cannonballs!" Franky grinned.
"W-What?!"
"Get ready for this!" Franky yelled as he started firing wildly. Fukuro yelped as he Sorued away, but as stated before, the cannonballs home in.
As in the cyborg running after the assassin and continued to fire.
"HEY! THAT'S WHAT YOU MEAN BY SEEKING?"
"Come back here and fight like a man!"
"Soru!"
Franky glared; his opponent flitted out of sight. Looking around he noticed too late that Fukuro already snuck behind him.
"Tekkai Dama!"
The iron ball like attack struck this time, sending Franky flying out of the hole he made into the balcony just a while back. This time though, it sent him flying over the railing, landing into the water with a splash.
"Shit! I have to get back to shore!" pushing against the raging rapids, Franky attempted to get to safety. A black shadow passing over him soon made him realize, he had more to worry about.
"Chapapa! Looks like you're in a bad predicament!" Fukuro cackled as he Geppoed towards his target.
"Crap! I can't do much in the water!" Franky cursed, his right hand attempted to lash out like a chain "Strong Right!"
"Kami-E!" but the assassin's flexible technique merely avoided the strike, as Franky tried to reel the arm back, Fukuro dashed along the chain, until he was right above the cyborg.
"Jugan!"
Franky yelled in pain as he was send tumbling to the riverbed as the rocket continued to carry him. Time was against him now; he was getting closer to the waterfall!
"PWAH!" Franky spat out water as he tried to think of a way out of his situation. He saw Fukuro still hopping along the air, waiting for him to surface.
"Gotta get out of the water before I fall into the abyss!" Franky yelled as he lower body began to swell up. Leaping out of the water, he took a leap of faith "Coup de Boo!"
Rocketing into the air, thanks to the expulsion of gas through his bottom, Franky was free of the waterfall, the momentum even enough to rocket him straight to land! Now however, he was right in Fukuro's sights, but this time Franky was prepared.
"Chapapa! You're dead in my sights! I know the exact move to use to crush you!"
"Yeah? Well so do I!" Franky shot back.
"Cho Shokuten Tekkai Dama!"
And a flitting cartwheel barreled towards the cyborg like a flying wheel, intending on sending him flying into the abyss below the waterfall. Franky seemed to have no answer for that, until he vaulted over Fukuro, and did the unthinkable.
"What the-?!" Fukuro gawked as Franky's legs split into two, making his lower body appear as if he had 4 legs. Fukuro was too late to realize that the amalgamation already wrapped his legs around his own, stopping his midair cartwheel in its tracks.
"Franky Kentauros!"
"WHY THE HELL IS IT BACKWARDS?!"
Regardless of how anatomically incorrect the supposed centaur form was, Franky did manage to straddle the rotund assassin. With one more air-blast from a Coup de Vent, he was able to stop any more rotations from the CP9 member.
"Gah! Let go of me!" Fukuro shouted as he struck Franky's face with rapid fire punches. The cyborg gritted his teeth, ignoring the impact dealt by his foe as he brought his arms together.
"With this attack, I'll really blow you away!" Fukuro's eyes widened as he saw the hole between Franky's arms beginning to whistle.
"Now take this! 70 mm Kokei 1.5 MAX Cola Power-"
"NO!"
"-COUP DE VENT!"
This particular air cannon shot, far more powerful than the ones he's used before, was enough to send Fukuro straight to the ground. To add further injury, the rotund assassin was sent straight through several feet of soil, carving straight into the ground. Even Franky himself was sent tumbling, before he fell heavily beside the hole he made.
But he got up, he saw that his efforts were worth it. There, lying in the hole, Fukuro did not stir, his eyes blank as all the energy was knocked out of him. The second CP9 member has been defeated.
"SUUUPER!" Franky roared to the sky, before reality hits him and he panted due to exertion. That last attack was powerful, but it took more cola to use than his regular Coup de Vents.
"Hah…Hah… that fight took longer than I expected, hope I didn't waste too much time here." Franky was still confident he had enough reserves to last a few more bouts, with that in mind he went and retrieved the key from the unconscious Fukuro.
"Hmmm, Key number 4…" he mused "Is this the one Nico Robin needs? I'll take it anyway, one less of the table."
With that in mind, he began to climb the tower to find a way to reach the archeologist. Another bout of flatulence was enough to rocket him back up to the balcony where the kitchen was.
But he couldn't move any further.
For he came across an unsettling sight.
During the events prior:
"Alright, avoid the attacks as much as you can!" was Chopper's thoughts as he raced towards the whipping hair of the sage like assassin before him in Walk Point. Kumadori's hair lashed out, but the speed in which the reindeer managed to pick up was enough to reach the assassin. Without hesitation, Chopper shifted to Arm Point.
"Kokutei Roseo!"
"Tekkai!"
The high impact hoof attack caused Kumadori to slide back, the maned assassin gritting his teeth; had it not been for the hardening technique, that last blow would've sent him flying. Chopper didn't let up, and as Kumadori swept out his shakujo, he morphed back into Brain Point, rolled under the pole, before morphing into Heavy Point and delivering a hard punch straight to his face. The doctor was only deterred by another well-timed Tekkai.
"Owww… It's like I'm punching metal…!"
"Yooooiiii~ it seems like you're much more trouble than I originally thought!" The hermit-like assassin chanted.
"But I've been dragging this long enough! I will end you here!" Chopper gasped as he saw the end of the shakujo stab towards him again!
"Shigan Cue!"
The reindeer managed to roll out of the way, a small hole forming in the stone floor where his body was mere seconds ago. He soon found that it wouldn't be the only strike, as Kumadori proceeded to unleash a flurry of pole stabs. Darting around the tall assassin, Chopper tried to charge into him with Horn Point, only for Kumadori to already leap over him and land on the other side.
"Shishi Kebab!"
Kumadori spun his staff around as Chopper's eyes widened as twin orbs of fire became alit. The thrusts from the monk like man was swift, each piercing attack singing his fur as Chopper tried to avoid them. Chopper gulped; although he didn't show it, he was on a timer right now.
"Nothing outside of Horn and Arm Point could break past that Iron Body of his, I need to get closer!"
"Shishi Kebab!"
His flustered thoughts did him no favors, as one precise strike from the flaming polearm was too swift for him to dodge. Only a last minute switch into Guard Point managed to save him from the worst, though that doesn't mean he escaped unscathed. Burns littered his body as Chopper panted with exertion.
"Yoyoi! You're looking like you're on your last legs! It's about time I end this!" Chopper's eyes widened as he saw Kumadori's body seemingly expand and became more muscular, his hair now waving widely as it lengthened, coiling as if they were living.
"T-This is the same thing you used against Nami!"
"Yoyoi! Very observant! When a man survives for 1000 years at sea, and another millennia in the mountains, he becomes attuned with the very natural energies that flows within him! Now he is no longer a man, but a sage! The ability of Seimei Kikan! To be able to stretch their bodies to their absolute limit, there's nothing they cannot accomplish!"
"There's no way you could've survived that long!" Chopper snapped, but the results showed themselves. Kumadori's hair were akin to multiple bullwhips, each lashing out and striking the doctor with stinging force.
Chopper yelped as he was pushed on the defensive; he was pressed into a disadvantage at the moment. The Rumble Ball he took 3 minutes ago has now expired, and with it the removal of his form changes. Chopper was left without his greatest weapon, and it wasn't as simple as just being able to take another one again.
No, as medically marvelous as it is, the Rumble Ball has a few unfortunate side effects. While it blessed Chopper with multiple wonderful additions and forms, upon expiration the Rumble Ball becomes unstable when used within 6 hours. Chopper gritted his teeth, he knew the full consequences if pushed too far.
"But from what it looks like, I may not have a choice…!"
He was stuck in Heavy Point right now, he had to make do with what he has. Chopper reared around, a fist bunched up and charged again.
"Heavy Gong!"
"Tekkai!"
Chopper yelled in pain as it seems as if his fist clashed into a steel plate. Kumadori's face wasn't even pained at all, and he immediately lashed out with another flaming shakujo strike, slamming the little reindeer into the wall.
"Damn it! I really do have to take the risk!" Chopper gritted his teeth as he clambered up and bit down on a second yellow pill. Heavy Point, while strong on its own, was not nearly enough to bust through the iron defense of a Tekkai. Arm Point would be the only way he could realistically do any damage now, but Chopper sighed; he has a problem.
As he focused into attempting to turn into the desired form, his legs and body elongated; he was in Jump Point instead of what he wanted to do. A form much more suited for mobility, it stood no chance as Kumadori's hair whipped into him, knocking Chopper to the ground again. He shakily got up and attempted to charge again, only to morph into Walk Point and sent skidding across the ground by another flurry of hair.
"It's just as I thought, when used twice within 6 hours the transformations of the Rumble Ball becomes unstable… I only have a one out of 7 chance to do so within 3 minutes!" Chopper cursed; time may not be on his side for Kumadori was not giving him any respite "I'm going to have to risk this! Robin's counting on us!"
Switching tactics, rather than charging at his opponent head on he began to play even more defensive, eyes alert for Kumadori's strikes while still shuffling through his transformations. But he was becoming increasingly wounded, after all he couldn't avoid everything, and with time continuing to trickle down, he was being backed into a corner. Then, when it seemed like all hope was lost, the form he was looking for finally revealed itself to him!
"I did it!" Chopper exclaimed as the bulging biceps of arm point revealed themselves. Wasting no time, he dashed up to Kumdori, the taller assassin realizing too late on what his opponent was going to do.
"Kokutei Roseo Metel!"
"Tekk-!"
The multiple hoof attacks slammed into Kumadori, each with the force of a freight truck. His Iron like defenses buckled at the repeated assault, each blow seemingly carved into his skin. As the assassin fell backwards, an array of hoof prints, each red hot and steaming, littered his body. Kumadori's body crashed to the ground hard as Chopper fell to his knees and he reverted back to his diminutive form, the time running out.
"Haah… Haah… I did it…! I beat him with my strongest attack!" Chopper, out of breath and aching all over, could hardly move "I'll get that key from him and-!"
"Rankyaku Renge!"
As the words caught in his throat, Chopper hardly even registered the cutting pain as the air blade slammed into him. Dread rose up in his body as he saw Kumadori's body rise up, the fires of rage burning deep in the assassin's eyes.
"No…! It can't be!" Chopper thought desperately.
"To think you've pushed me this far! Now I am truly enraged!" Kumadori bellowed as the strands of his hair began to coil up into hand shaped appendages, each pointing a finger at the downed reindeer.
"Shishi Shigan!"
Chopper never would've believed he'd one day get stabbed with hair out of all things, but that thought never took the forefront as the penetrating blows dug into him as if fired from a machine gun. Through all the blood he was shedding right now, even the pain didn't seem to matter much.
At least not compared to the thought of how he failed to get the key that he promised he'd get for Robin.
Chopper really had no more options left, he could hardly move; the Rumble Ball on its own could be quite taxing, and he's already exhausted it twice. He could feel Kumadori's hair wrap around his limbs, his blurry vision just barely making out the monk-like assassin spreading them apart as he leveled his staff towards his heart. He could barely hear Kumadori begin a sermon that told him to be proud of the fight he put up and how he'll now put him at ease, an ironic idea considering the situation he's in.
But there was nothing he can do to retaliate, not anymore.
At least, nothing that won't require any sacrifice.
"That day… when I took 3 Rumble Balls, Doctorine told me the end result…"
It was a memory he didn't want to return to, it isn't something he's proud of. What he unleased that day, when he finally heard of the destruction he caused, it shook him to his core. Kureha's descriptions of that day's events, even he couldn't believe it at first.
"The power described, destroying everything around it. It could only be done by that of a true monster."
Those words horrified him, and he vowed never to take 3 Rumble Balls in succession again, lest the consequences be too much. However, as he journeyed with Luffy and the others, Chopper's been finding himself backed into a corner far too much.
"I almost had to use it back in that underwater city… the people that I now call my friends are in danger more and more, I have to protect them too!"
A memory flashed in his head, just earlier that day. Robin's tears, true and yearning to be free. He isn't just fighting for himself at this point. Chopper gritted his teeth, gathering his strength even as the hairs of his foe coiled tighter around his arms. With the last bit of his strengths, he reached into his coat pocket and fished out the last yellow pill.
"If I'm going to die, I'll do it for Robin!"
"Do not struggle any longer! It will only delay your suffering!"
Kumadori's staff was now level, the staff would drive itself into the reindeer in a second. Chopper was silent, all caution to the wind now. There was no going back on the decision he was about to make.
"Everyone… please don't come into this room…"
And then he bit down. And the room was instantly enveloped in smoke…
Meanwhile:
High atop the tower, Gian and Gylzar continued to crash against each other. The room is completely unrecognizable, bits of it ripped from the stone and carved into the walls. The destruction is taking over the room, all while the two continued to fight.
"Come on Beast Warrior…" Gylzar taunted "Bleed for me!"
"Atom Fist!"
Through fists and blades the struggle seemed like no end. One last punch from Gian clashed with the flat side of both curved blades, knocking the two of them backwards. The two Partially Transformed Kaiju-Zoan users instantly leapt up, pure adrenaline pushing them forwards.
Then they felt it, the unearthly feeling that rose through the tower. Gian's eyes widened; what he sensed was similar to the very same energy currently being emitted by the Kaiju-Zoan user opposing him, yet it was different all the same, more wild, more mindless, and utterly emotionless. From a general sense, it seemed to be coming from the lower floors, what could be down there?
"It can't be… no one aside from me within CP9 are able to harness Aura, and our sources claims you are the only Kaiju-Zoan of the Straw Hat Pirates?"
Clearly Gylzar was confused as well. Gian felt uncertaintly creep up in his chest. The energy he felt was definitely similar to Aura, but as far as he knows only Kaiju-Zoans have displays signs of it. Yet both Kaiju-Zoans were up here, Gylzar has just confirmed that it wasn't a CP9 member, and the only other Zoan user within the building was-
"It can't be!" he gasped as he made for the stairs, all thoughts of his current roadblock pushed to the back of his mind by concern. Unfortunately, his path was cut off by a sweeping laser, it seems he isn't quite done up here.
"It matters little. Even if there's another cheap imitation of a Kaiju-Zoan within your crew, they seem to only be driven by desperation and can do little in the face of CP9!" Gylzar snarked as he dashed up to Gian again, a sweeping scythe blade bound for his head "My job is to kill you, and I'll take care of you first."
Gian growled, before sweeping with his tail to intercept the strike. He could feel the wild-like energy growing stronger, and it was certain soon the others may feel it too. Gian didn't know what drove him to that point, but it's clear that their opponents were unlike any other that they've faced before. For now, he could only have faith, faith that what had just transpired was enough for the doctor to handle what he needs to.
"Chopper, please be careful…"
As it was happening:
"Buoooohhh…!"
As a CP9 agent, Kumadori has seen his fair share of weird eccentricities; he's been sent on multiple espionage missions, assassinations, and guerilla warfare. Each had their unique abilities, and he's overcome them all.
The shaggy monstrosity before him, however, made him felt uncertainty.
Aside from the pink hat, now expanded many times its size, it's hard to believe that this abomination is the same raccoon he faced earlier. The Beast that stood before him looked nothing like his foe, an elongated deer like muzzle, topped with branching antlers. Each of its cloven hands hardened yet human-shaped. It towered over Kumadori, faint steam fogging up from its mouth as it stared at him with cyan colored eyes devoid of all emotion.
"Hideous beast! What trickery is this?!" Kumadori mustered up as much bravado as he could. The Creature didn't respond however, unless you count the emitting of another low bellow.
"I'll stop you now! Rankyaku Renge!" Kumadori shouted, leaping up and kicking with his legs. The flurry of air blades clashed into The Creature's skin, a slicing attack that normally would dice up multiple opponents at once.
The Beast felt nothing.
Kumadori's eyes widened and attempted to attack again "Haru Gin Jou!" the same attack he was about to perform on the hapless doctor before, just so happened to be interrupted by the abomination before him. At least now, he'll get to use it. The swift staff strike thrust out, intent on impaling the creature.
The Shakujo then promptly shattered upon impact.
"I-Impossible!" Kumadori choked out "H-How is this tanuki suddenly-!" he didn't get to finish, for the next thing he knew he was lying a few inches deep in the rock before he felt the pain of broken bones.
"That beast just struck me! I didn't even see the blow! How powerful is this creature?!" what he can see clearly however, was The Monster now approaching him slowly, each step sounding like a sledgehammer.
"Buooooohhhh…." Kumadori wanted to get out of The Beast's sight, but it was as if nothing in his body obeyed his commands. Desperate, he could do nothing as The Creature raised one of its hairy arms.
"Mother… save me…"
Then his vision became black as the massive arm crashed down into him in a hammer strike. The Monstrous Chopper continued to bellow as he pummeled the sage repeatedly by the dozen, each blow impacting the assassin with the force of a train, sending him deeper into the rock.
By the third hit, Kumadori was already out cold.
And it was the sight of the rampaging beast that Franky stumbled across as he entered the hole he made earlier in the kitchen. The cyborg could hardly believe it when he saw the tall assassin's body, bleeding and battered with broken teeth, being picked up by only one hand by the monstrous reindeer. He could hardly register as Chopper sent Kumadori sailing through the air, all the way to Enies Lobby's courthouse yard.
"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE?!" Franky shouted. What is the identity of the monster that stood before him? He glanced up, between its massive antlers Franky could see the iconic pink hat of one of the Straw Hat members. What was his name again? Chipper? Chomper?
"You're that raccoon from the Straw Hat Pirates aren't you? What happened to you?!"
"BUOOOOOOOOHHHH!"
Franky narrowly missed being slammed by another palm strike. Despite the size, Chopper's new Monster form was surprising quick with his attacks. His hazy mind now did him no favors, between friend or foe, everything was the same. It was truly animalistic.
Franky could do nothing as he saw the massive monstrosity dig its hardened hands into the tower walls. Chopper huffed; his mind sensed little in this form, but there was an attraction that originated from the top of this building. It was beckoning, calling, and it was slowly whipping him into a frenzy. With a low roar, the monstrous Chopper began to scale the side of the Tower of Justice, intent on finding that source and ultimately extinguishing it.
Franky cursed, this situation just took an unexpected turn. With an unpredictable monster now added to the mix, it'll be more problematic for them. Even though two CP9 members have been defeated, there are still 5 more, and the keys to Nico Robin's cuffs still need to be obtained. The cyborg immediately began to climb the stairs, going after the monster as best he could. In his current mental state, Chopper is a loose cannon, and he may end up delaying them more than help. He had to find a way to stop the beast before it rampages too far on top of what he already needs to do.
Because time is not on their side. The ships are coming, and this very island will soon fall.
A/N: Huh, this seems like something from the past that I've been leaving here and never publishing I wonder what-
G: W-Who's there?! Who are you?!
Gian? What happened to you?
G: Wait, Author?! WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GO?! YOU LEFT ME HANGING IN THE MIDDLE OF DANGER AND WITH NOTHING TO DO!
Gy: We are all very unemployed and hungry!
G: What year is it?!
Oh boy….
So yeah, we've been away from this story for far too long now. I'm not going to beat around the bush, last semester was very brutal and I found myself focusing too much on my studies and trying to get my GPA up. While it ultimately worked out, my grades weren't what I wanted them to be. I originally wanted this chapter up before the New Year, but ever since class ended I went back to China to visit my relatives for the first time in 3 years and most of that period was filled with me spending time with family. So all in all, this story ended up neglected for a little while.
G: I think you're neglecting one little detail
Did I?
G: The Switch! You went ahead and brought a Switch because, in your words, it was getting cold and that left you little chance to go out so you need entertainment but we all know it's just so you feel left out of Pokemon Sword and Shield!
That's a dirty lie!
…I have Zelda and Smash too.
G: FUCK YOU
So yeah, I finally got this chapter up. It's a bit smaller compared to some of the earlier uploads, and there isn't too much going on but we're getting near the middle of Enies Lobby, so expect the action to pick up in the next couple of chapters. I guess we can count this chapter as just something I want to get out, considering I've trimmed quite a bit of stuff from some of the fights, like Franky's fight is less comedic while Chopper and Franky didn't meet up like they did in canon. I suppose it was necessary, but we'll be getting back to a few longer chapters soon. In the meantime I can't thank you all enough for the continued favorites and follows on this story. It really shows how much you all view this, and I'll try to live up to it, and hopefully have the next chapter sooner!
G: If you're not playing games by then.
Responses to Reviews, and we have a lot to get through!
To My Life:
G: Huh, never knew that was a song title.
Guess one of the most iconic lines in the series gets referenced.
G: the song probably came first
Thank you and enjoy the chapter!
To Darkmaster1000000
G: Remember when you used to love Naruto fanfictions?
I like 3 Naruto fanfictions, out of which only one of them is still being updated sort of regularly. My favorite one that consists of a Time Travel AU that's becomes its own story sadly has not been updated for almost a year now.
G: AYYYY shoutout to The Element of Time
You know, maybe I should check the out Darkmaster10000 namedropped here.
G: It has a chicken apparently.
To The Storm Master 567:
Before Marineford, the second Original Arc I have planned will be taking place, and it will involve a few characters I've teased a few times before. This will ultimately also effect Marineford as well.
G: If we ever get there.
WE WILL
And don't worry, being pushed is to the limit is something both Gian and Luffy will have to go through here.
To Chance Green G King:
Oh Trust me, there's no way I'll be leaving that part out!
G: Am I supposed to be concerned?
Only if you're sensitive.
To Matt:
G: That big mammoth looking ass thing looked pretty cool.
Yeah, Behemoth was probably the best designed one by far.
To Coduss:
Burning Godzilla may be closer than you think.
G: But not this arc though!
And I definitely want to include Godzilla Earth's powers here somehow, maybe eventually in a point where it fits.
To Ethan:
G: Eyyy best Freddy Kruegar
Don't you mean only Freddy Kruegar?
G: I thought there was a-
We don't speak of that.
To JayH120:
That scene of Godzilla and Jet Jaguar is something that will definitely be recreated, you can count on that!
G: I will take the money regardless
Greedy bastard.
G: And just keep working on it Jou! Persistence is key!
Make sure to keep the conversation going!
G: Yup, just find something you two have in common first then.
To Natalie Jarrett:
Mothra's user will be appear far sooner than you'd expect, she's actually got quite a big role later!
To sacke110:
Thank you for all the reviews on all those chapters! Here's one more chapter for you to read!
To Kaiju Avenger:
Thanks for the review! The action's all coming up soon! And don't write of Super Godzilla just yet, it's all in the works but it's a lot closer than you think!
To RulersofEarth:
Yup, this definitely is a growth time, and Gian's no exception. You'll be seeing some of it very soon!
And just between us, there will be something along the lines of losing control, but it won't happen for a little bit, and in a different scenario. Still, don't write off any cases of Gian going on a little rampage this arc! But Gian and Robin's relationship will definitely grow this arc!
To gearsofhalo1337:
G: Now that's inspirational
Yup, and about to happen too.
To Monsterlove100:
G: Is that how it works.
I don't know if Devil Fruit powers pass through genetically, but kids are something else.
G: That's thinking way too far ahead now, isn't it?
To Supermechaforce8:
G: I would not be opposed to that
They're pretty far from East Blue now unfortunately, not many opportunities to bring things back to the island.
Gy: Wait, I look like a robot chicken
G: Have you seen the inspiration of your DF?
To PIZZASAURUS:
I'll be sure to slip it in somewhere! That's one thing I can agree on!
To ClassicUSmONSTER:
If by crossovers you mean other Kaiju movies, there could be a chance.
And it wasn't really specified. Last I remember the Tree of Knowledge in Ohara was burned. If things were confiscated, they'll have to find it eventually.
And that's all for this time! I'll try to get the next chapter out soonish!
G: I LIVE FOR NOW!
