Home and Away
Incomplete Life
Summary: This is inthe POV of Ric after Flynn has died.
A/N: I'm a Cassie/Ric shipper and not a fan of Belle at all. So Ric/Belle fans you've been warned!
Ric stared at the bowl of cereal in front of him. He wasn't hungry. He hadn't been hungry ever since, it happend. He couldn't even bare to think about it. Even though he did, all the day. Every night before he went to sleep. And every morning when he woke up. He felt as though a part of him was missing. Then as he went to school he saw everyone joking and laughing, acting like nothing had happened. Sure, not everybody knew Flynn, but the one's who did seemed to have forgotten him. Even people like Irene and Colleen. They still smiled behind the counter and the Beachside Diner like nothing had happened. Life without Flynn was awful. It felt incomplete. Ric felt incomplete.
But the biggest thing that was on his mind at this moment was why? Why did it happen? How? He was meant to have a few more weeks left. Was it her? That was the question Ric asked himself everday. She had stayed in his bedroom for two days. And then when he returned that day from school, he found out that Flynn was dying and that she was not there. It all seemed too much of a coincedence. Ric honestly thought she was ok. A good person. A scared runaway teen. He was obviously mistaken. Even if whatever had happened between her and Flynn was an accident the least thing she could do was admit she was responsible. But leaving him there to die? How could she? Ric had told her that his foster dad was very sick, she hadn't listened.
For once Ric could see Belle for what she really was. A manipulative, jealous, evil cow. She'd even tried to break him up with Cassie. Cassie. The one person he could share anything with. The person he loved and cared about the most in the world. She was his rock. His world. And Belle had tried to take that away from him. Who the hell did she think she was? Cassie and Ric had already been through so much together. Too much. And some random girl from the street wanted to take that? No. No, it wasn't right. It was wrong. Completely wrong.
Ric realised that life wasn't simple. Families fall apart. People die. Love fades. But Ric knew that he had to try his hardest to keep his family together, as little and as empty it now was, and to care and love them as much a he could. And he would never ever forget Flynn. One of the greatest men he had ever known. But defintely the greatest father he had ever had, even though he'd only known him for a shot while...
A/N:S Not sure if I like it. I've been in such a creative mood today. And Home and Away is driving me crazy atm, so I had to write how I think the whole Flynn dying and Belle/ Ric thing should have gone. Anyway it's just a one-shot. Hope you liked. Reviews would be nice too, I'd love to know what you thought :P
