Chapter 54. A nightmare
Della spent an hour upstairs before getting down — she was quick as much as she could!
When she appeared in the kitchen for the second time, everyone on the long table had finished breakfast. The Weasleys had finished their second breakfast, Mr. Weasley and Mr. Bush had left the fireplace for work.
The rest of them were taking desserts, the confident course from Lucy: Rum ice cream with raisin.
Percy Weasley, who saw Della coming down, got up with ice cream from the corner of his mouth, he nodded to her and said to Mrs. Weasley, "mom, I have to go! I'm late already! Now the ministry can't do without people!" Mrs. Weasley obviously wanted everyone in the family stay at this important moment, under the circumstance of the leaving of Mr. Weasley, she said, "Percy, I hope you can stay and back him up here." She was beyond excited and joyful, squeezed her eyes and winked at him, muffled her laughter, "oh! Today is his big day! A very, very important day!"
Percy hesitated, but George jumped up and pushed him into the fireplace: "No, mom! I don't think Fred wants to get in the way of the important work of the ministry! Percy, off you go, and write your cauldron report! Cauldrons of the whole England are waiting for you!"
With a hard push, Percy staggered into the fireplace, and was lifted all over by George's a handful of floo powder. He glared at George, slapped the powder on his body, and left the word "Ministry of Magic!".
After seeing off a brother, George looked back at Bill and Charlie, who were the big problems he had to say.
Bill shook his head and the dragon tooth on his left ear also swayed, he said, "no. I'm free recently. The tomb in San Juan requires more Curse-Breaker. The nearest Edward, he believed there was a big treasure left by the wizard from the sea and he wouldn't leave lately. So, I am available," With a chirpy smile, he patted Fred's chair beside him: "—to concern with my brother."
Charlie wiped his mouth, "I can go back in ten days. Jennie, I mean the Roman dragon I'm in charge of, she's been less troublesome, it will be fine for a few days absence."
George was disappointed.
However, his brother didn't realize how worried he was! The moment he saw Della, he immediately left the table to her!
All the people, who had been sitting at the table for a long time, were itching to stand up and have a walk. Now that Della finally appeared, they could say goodbye to the table.
One by one, they stood up. As they passed by, they greeted to Della, praised her dress, and then patted Fred on the back.
By the time they all disappeared at the kitchen door, Lucy had piled up all the dirty dishes, and rearranged a clean one to Della, "sit down and have your breakfast." She skilfully put her favourite bloater, two large pieces for her!
She also pushed the basket with the doughnuts toward her.
Della said politely, "only a glass of juice."
Then she did bring a glass of juice and went out with Fred.
—The passage was full of people!
—They were all peeping!
—Why were all the Weasleys here?
Della had no idea. She had to drag Fred out. They went out of the kitchen door, through the backyard, and soon out of their sights.
Far away, Della looked back and was relieved. She smiled and said hi to him, then took a sip of juice, the juice visibly went down half of the glass. "By the way, why are you all here today? For Hans?"
Fred had been nervous since very beginning.
He had never been so nervous that his tongue seemed to be petrified. He rehearsed it over and over in his heart, but it was as if his tongue was not at his command.
His eyes were after her — she looked so beautiful!
He wondered why he had never found her so beautiful? She had long spindly legs, tiny waist, her back view was... Oh, how fascinating! That sexy figure!
She turned around, showed her slender neck, attractive collarbone, those two triangles! And her chin, her nose, even her ears were cute.
Her mouth was dewy because of the juice.
Her eyes, were the most beautiful. They were shining when she saw him.
She loved him, that's what her eyes said, that's what her body said.
Fred took a step forward: "marry me."
Della thought she had misheard. "What?"
But she didn't.
Because Fred took a ring box out of his pocket and opened it. It lied an old ring, a silver one with a faint Ruby on it.
—It must be a heirloom!
—Mrs. Weasley might have worn it!
A shiver ran over her.
She saw how happy Mrs. Bush was for Hans's marriage! While his face was… as naïve as a child!
He's indeed a child, too! He's only seventeen!
Mrs. Bush would not stop it!
No one would stop it!
She had been worried for few days, but at that time she thought she had a chance! As long as she didn't say it, Fred won't take the initiative!
However, she was wrong!
Unexpectedly, she was vanished from his sight, he looked up and only found her running away.
He took a step further, almost thought he was dreaming.
Until he saw George, Bill, Charlie, Ron and Ginny running towards him in the distance. They were all looking at Della and then running to him.
Well, it's not a dream.
