"That's right, girls." Finral said as he tried to look cool. "Come and learn the mystery."
"Are you serious about this?" Vanessa said as she chuckled. The rangers were out when it was dark out and Finral was doing a little filming about himself.
"Let's just go." Noelle said as she was getting rather impatient. "It's getting late, and there's no way girls are really going to fall for this little film of yours, Finral."
"Come on, Noelle. I need this to be at night." Finral pleaded. "This will have the woman think I'm cool and mysterious. Posting this video will at least get them to notice me." That's what he believed, but the girls thought differently.
"I think you're looking good, Finral." Asta supportively claimed.
"Yeah, but if you want girls to see you're strong, maybe you should try fighting those spades in the background." Luck pointed out. They all noticed some spades sneaking around them and knew that trouble was happening.
"Noelle! Trouble!" Asta called as the five of them went after the spades to see what they were up to. They followed the spades deeper into the park and saw them digging in the ground with them planting some strange seeds.
"Spades can garden?" Vanessa questioned as this looked rather weird. "What are they planting?"
"Knowing the Dark Triad, it can't be anything good for the city." Asta said. Thinking they need to act now, the five of them moved in. "Hey! I don't think you're really allowed to garden here!" He called and got their attention.
"Gardening? I say more like littering." Noelle said. Jokes aside, the spades readied themselves for a fight with the rangers reaching for their morphers.
"Mana Morphers! Magic Calling!" The rangers morphed and brought out their sabers. Both sides went at each other as they attacked each other. Finral managed to strike a few spades down as he made it to the spot they were digging.
"What do we have here?" Finral said as he took the seeds for them to be looked at later. During the confusion, someone else was joining in. Vines were stretched out and coiled around Asta. He was pulled in against his will and was soon in the hands of a monster.
"Hello there. You happen to be disturbing my gardening." The monster sounded female. She was made out of wood and flowers with branches coming out of the back of her head with a couple wooden horns coming out from the sides.
"Watch the suit, bud!" Asta said as he tried to break free.
"The name's Springgin."
"Nice name. Your parents hate you?" Asta joked. He was able to get free from the monster, but she smashed her fist against him with him being knocked down.
"Asta, are you okay?" Vanessa asked as the rangers regrouped.
"Hope you're not allergic to flowers." Springgin said as she unleashed a blizzard of petals. The petals combusted against the rangers and all of them were blown down.
"That's a nightmare for those with hay fever." Finral said.
"Where'd she go?" Luck said as he noticed she was gone.
"Let's get out of here before they decide to plant us. We need to find out those seeds are." Noelle said. Knowing that they'll be dealing with plants, the rangers readied themselves for when they have to get their hands dirty.
...
The Next Day
The rangers gave the seeds to Julius for him to look at and see what they were. Until they know more, they just continued on with their work at Timeless Meals. While they were all working, Mimosa came walking in and spotted Noelle.
"Hey, Noelle." Mimosa greeted as she went to see her.
"Hi, Mimosa. You're back here again? Are you seriously thinking of becoming a regular around here?" Noelle said as she thought Mimosa had better taste.
"What if I do? Would that be so wrong?" Mimosa said as she didn't think that would be a problem. "Anyway, I was wondering if you would like to go to the mall or something when you're done with work? I was also planning to head to Green Home. You know, I volunteer there sometimes."
"I don't think so." Noelle said as she just shot her own cousin down. Mimosa seemed a little upset about that and Asta noticed it.
"Noelle, it looks like Mimosa just wants to hang out with you. It's really not a problem." Asta said.
"It is since I have other things to do." Noelle said. Mimosa seemed rather disappointed that Noelle doesn't seem to want to spend time with her.
"Everyone!" Julius called to his employees. He motioned for the five of them to come upstairs. Knowing it had to be about the Dark Triad's plans, the five of them hurried over.
"Where's everyone going?" Mimosa questioned.
"Sorry. Employees only." Noelle said as she went on up.
"One of these days, I'll find out what's going up there!" Mimosa declared. Seeing as how she's not wanted or needed around here, she decided to just leave.
"What did you find, Julius?" Asta asked.
"You were right to stop those spades and bring these seeds here." Julius said. "These seeds hold more than just plants in them. They're like a mixture of eggs as well. When these seeds are planted, they begin to grow and sprout much faster than regular flowers. Once they fully grow, they can easily transform into monsters that could destroy the city."
"Oh man. Those seeds could be all over the city." Finral said.
"You mean we get to fight a ton of monstrous flowers? Awesome!" Luck said as he was excited.
"We'll have to strike at the source before that happens, but where could that be?" Vanessa questioned.
"I already found that." Julius said. "I noticed the seeds have been soaked in a special formula that I'm familiar with. This special formula is used at a research place that is designed to help plants with growth, development, and more. It's called Green Home."
"Green Home?!" Noelle said as she instantly saw a problem. "My cousin, Mimosa, volunteers there. She was planning to head there today!"
"If the Dark Triad is using that research place, she could be in danger!" Asta said. The situation has grown worse for them.
...
Mimosa
Since Mimosa's plans with Noelle fell, she went straight to Green Home in the city. She had access to the greenhouse and went on inside. When she looked around, she didn't see anyone anywhere.
"Hello? Where is everyone?" Mimosa asked as she tried to find someone. There would usually be a scientist working with the plants. Something didn't seem right with her, and she learned about it when she tripped over something. She took a look and saw people tied up in plants. That alone scared her.
"Is someone here?" Mimosa peeked over the plants and saw Springgin was there. Knowing this was dangerous, she tried keeping her head down.
"Springgin!"
"Lord Dante! I didn't expect you to personally come." Springgin said as she was surprised to see him. "I thought Lady Vanica was coming."
"She will, but I had to see this for myself. This plan of yours sounds promising." Dante said. "Show me your plants."
"Of course. I have them bathing in here." Springgin said as she showed where she is growing her plants. Mimosa was aware this was a bad idea, but she had to know what they were planning. That's why she quietly followed after them. Springgin lead Dante to the back and showed her plants growing in the special formula that Julius was talking about.
"Oh my! They're growing exponentially!" Dante said.
"My babies will grow to massive size and devour any and all." Springgin claimed. "This one is just the start, and soon more of my children shall grow. They will tower over the whole city, and not even the rangers will be able to stop it."
"Excellent. The rangers had their fun, but it's now over." Dante said as he can't see how the rangers can win this one. "I'll leave it to you." Dante thought everything was handled and just left. He believes this will be the end of humanity. Mimosa overheard them and didn't like the sound of this at all.
"Hey!" Someone grabbed Mimosa and threw her to the ground. She was met with Vanica for the first time with spades surrounding her. "You're not suppose to be here. I guess we'll have to punish you." Vanica was looking forward to that, but Mimosa wasn't. She tried running for it as they tried to grab her.
"Get away from me!" Mimosa said as she pushed everything she could to keep them away from her and ran for the exit.
"Get her!" Vanica ordered as the spades chased after her. When the rangers became aware of the danger, Finral was able to open a portal and got them all to the place. By the time they got there, they saw Mimosa being chased out of the place and ran off.
"We're too late! They're after Mimosa!" Asta said.
"I'll go help her. The rest of you better check inside and see what's going on." Noelle said. No time to debate, they all went with that as the four of them went on ahead and Noelle chased after her cousin. "Mana Morpher! Magic Calling!" She morphed and hurried to save Mimosa before it was too late. As for the others, they hurried inside to see what was happening.
"Rangers!" Vanica said as she and Springgin were already aware of their presence.
"You're just in time to see my beautiful flowers grow." Springgin claimed.
"Yeah right. You two are just a couple weeds." Vanessa insulted.
"But we're about to trim them down." Luck said.
"Mana Morpher! Magic Calling!" The four of them morphed and held out their swords to fight them.
"You're going to need more than those little knives to defend yourself against my plants. Grow!" Springgin called as her flowers were fully maturing. The whole place was beginning to shake like it was an earthquake. Springgin's flower was fully blooming as it burst right out of the building with the rangers hurrying out of there. That flower really was a monster as it towered over the place with a monster face right in the center of it surrounded by four purple petals. It was even able to move with its own freewill.
"What is that thing?!" Finral questioned.
"Something we need to chop down." Asta said, but that was easier said than done.
...
Mimosa
Mimosa continued to run for her life as the spades chased after her. She didn't understand what was going on, but all she knew was that she had to get as far away as she could. Mimosa kept on running until she tripped and fell to the ground. When she looked back, the spades were right at her and were ready to attack her.
"Back off!" Noelle called as she arrived just in time. She fought them off as she swung her saber around and was able to push them away from Mimosa. "Later!" She called on her water magic and blasted all of the spades with an immense blast of it and got rid of all of them.
"Blue Ranger?" Mimosa said.
"That's me. Are you okay?" Noelle asked as she helped her up.
"I am, but there's some sort of monster causing trouble back at the research lab." Mimosa said. "She was talking about growing some sort of monster."
"We're already aware. You just need to get somewhere that is safe." Noelle said.
"But isn't there anything I can do to help?" Mimosa asked.
"You can help by keeping out of the way." Noelle said. The way she said that had Mimosa thinking of her cousin without her knowing Noelle was standing right before her.
"You sound like my cousin, Noelle." Mimosa said. "She always keeps me at arms distance, even when all I'm trying to do is try to be close to her."
"Really?" Noelle questioned as she wasn't aware of that.
"She doesn't really come from a nice family. Her older siblings are awful to her." Mimosa said. "I just thought it would be great for her if she had one family member she was close with." Noelle felt bad now since she had no idea all Mimosa wanted was to be close to Noelle. She's beginning to see what a kind person Mimosa really is.
"She's probably not aware that's all you're doing, but I bet she'll come around." Noelle reassured her. "Listen, I appreciate the desire to help, but it's for your own safety. My friends and I will take care of it. Just be safe." Mimosa agreed that she would with Noelle taking off. She'll have to fix things with Mimosa later, but she needs to focus on helping her friends now.

The Fight
The other rangers did their best to fight off the giant flower monster, but it was one tough weed. Asta and Luck were knocked around by the vines with Finral and Vanessa tangled in them.
"I can't get free!" Finral said as he was struggling to get himself out.
"This just doesn't cut it." Vanessa said as her sword was failing to cut through the plants.
"There's got to be a way to take this thing down." Asta said.
"Hey! I'm here!" Noelle called as she was joining in the fight. "I take it that's the big bad plant we've got to bring down."
"Yeah, but it's one tough flower." Luck said. As the monster flower roared, it attacked the other three rangers again with them trying to keep out of it's reach. "So far, I haven't been able to find any weaknesses with it."
"Maybe you're just aiming for the wrong spots." Noelle said as she aimed right for the head. "Tidal Wave Slash!" She used her signature attack and unleashed it right at the flower's head. It did land and did some damage. What Noelle did notice was that one of the petals was torn off and the giant flower was in great pain from that. "That's it! The petals seem connected to the brain! Aim for the petals!"
"I got it!" Luck said. He unleashed blasts of lightning and aimed right for the petals. It appeared to have worked as the flower was in great pain with Finral and Vanessa getting free. This flower was as good as dead.
"Great work on finding the weakness, Noelle." Asta said.
"My precious!" Springgin called as she came out of hiding and was greatly upset over what happened. "How dare you! You will pay dearly for that!" In rage and anger, she unleashed that blizzard of petals and attacked the rangers. A series of explosions went off and thought that got them. When the smoke cleared away, they were gone. "Where did they go?" She looked around for them until she saw a portal opened up behind her.
"Quintuple Magic Slash!" Each of the rangers jumped out of the portal with each of them powering up their sabers and slashing against Springgin. All five slashes connected and did some real damage to her as she dropped to the ground and was destroyed.
"Not so fast, rangers!" Vanica called as she was still around for one more thing. "Urae Methros Cataros!" She used her powers and revived as a giant.
"Taking care of weeds and flowers really is hard work." Noelle said as she was getting annoyed with this.
"Creation Magic: Titan Power!" All five of the rangers called on the powers to change into their titan forms. Once they all changed, they combined into their megazord forms and were ready for battle.
"I'm the only one around here who can grow to the size of a tree." Springgin said. She caused roots to grow out of the ground and tried attacking them, but they slashed right through the roots and chopped them to pieces. They fought back by shooting some lightning at her, but it wasn't as effective as usual.
"Nice try, but wood doesn't conduct electricity." Springgin said as she wasn't bothered by it.
"No? How about this?" Asta said as they began to gather power around their sword.
"Wait a minute!" Springgin pleaded as she didn't like the looks of this.
"Mana Strike!" They unleashed the attack and slashed right through her and ended this fight.
"Timbur!" Springgin called before she fell like a tree and was destroyed all over again, her evil weeds going with her.
...
Timeless Meals
With another enemy beaten, everyone went back to work at Timeless Meals. It also provided Noelle the opportunity with something she has to do. She asked Mimosa to come over to try and make things right between them. When she saw Mimosa arrived, she readied herself for this.
"Hi, Noelle. What did you want me here for?" Mimosa asked.
"I thought I treat you to a nice meal, on the house." Noelle said as she served Mimosa some food. "Mimosa, I'm sorry for how I've been acting. I've been rejected by my family so much that I never noticed that you wanted to be closer for my sake."
"Really?" Mimosa said as she was amazed with Noelle. "Well, I always admired you, Noelle. No matter what was thrown at you, you just kept going. That's what I admired the most about you."
"What do you say that once I'm done here, we hit the mall like you planned." Noelle said with Mimosa liking the sound of that. "We're all good?"
"Of course. We're family." Mimosa said. It's always good to have close family member, and for Noelle, that would be her sweetheart cousin.

The Underground Castle
Dante watched over what happened during the fight with Springgin. For once, he wasn't pleased at all. He didn't find any amusement in any of this as he usually would.
"Is something wrong, Date?" Zenon asked.
"Indeed. I rather enjoyed that plan." Dante said. "Those monster flowers would have brought an end to humanity, but those rangers even managed to stop that. Perhaps I have been underestimating them. People seem to cling to them for hope, but I want that hope crushed. The time for games is over." Dante is getting serious now, and that could mean trouble for the rangers.
