Color Spread: Straw Hats at the Zoo. Each are interacting with their respective animal.

It didn't take long for the news to begin spreading, and once it did it took the seas by a storm like no other.

Considering just how crazy the events seem, the World Economy Newspaper was swift to cash in on the media attention. Even if they're mainly doing for the rating boost, when a group of pirates storming the Judicial Island with their allies will no doubt make the front page everywhere. So print it they did, their president did declare it as "Big News" after all.

With the news coo flying far and wide, the news of the event was delivered to land and sea. Eventually, there were few people that did not know what had occurred, and for some it was all they could talk about. For a limited time, this was even the only thing some people could talk about.

After all, not only was a World Government Facility attacked and the perpetrators got away with it, it also showcased to the world a group of individuals rising in infamy.

Foosha Village, East Blue:

Makino's bar is usually full of activity, but even more so today. The entire establishment was pack, everyone was singing and cheering, for good reason too.

After all, when the little boy they've watched grow up is now a rising rookie in the pirate world, why shouldn't they celebrate?

"How can they be cheering for him? Don't they know that his name will bring shame to this village? It's disgraceful!"

All except one, but mayor Wood Slap could do nothing as the rest of the townfolk promptly ignored him and continued to drink in Luffy's name, much to his chagrin.

"Leave them be, Wood Slap-san." Makino coaxed "People are excited when someone from our village becomes a big name, we're not exactly well known after all."

"He literally picked a fight with the World Government for crying out loud!" the mayor grumbled "Just look at the people he's with, all of them are monsters!"

It was true, the high bounties of just about everyone in that crew had been outlandish, and considering this is East Blue, Luffy's massive reward of 365 million was the stuff of legends. They've already thrown big parties when the rubber boy had gotten his other absurdly high bounties, and this just added a new layer of amazing.

"Just what is going on in that family?" Wood Slap muttered "All 3 of them, literally the craziest people this world has ever seen…"

Makino only chuckled to herself at the mayor's forlorn look. The green-haired barkeep reminisced the sight of Luffy running through the town, a common occurrence 10 years ago. It seemed as if it was just yesterday that he'd proudly declare his dream of being a pirate. Makino has seen that wide-eyed little boy whose smile never seemed to drop grow into a free-spirited young man, both he and Ace have grown and flown the coop.

"Even now, he's following the path you've shown him, Captain-san. He's been to so many places and met so many friends." she smiled fondly as her thoughts drifting to another, more red-headed gentleman "I wonder if you can see what he's become?"

Away from the village, in the forests of Mt. Columbo, a different group were also looking in awe of the news. A clan of mountain bandits, despite being a different profession than pirates, were looking at the news about Enies Lobby with rapt interest.

"Boss! Who would've thought Luffy would pull something so outrageous?!"

At the head of them sat a portly ginger woman, her face a mask of shock. You would never have expected Curly Dadan to have anything to do with Luffy, but the fact is that the woman had a hand in raising him back when he was a child, him along with those annoying brothers of his. In her words, it had not been a pleasant time.

"That brat…" she retorted "He's really taking to that life isn't he? It's only been a couple of weeks at best and he's already throwing himself in the craziest of situations."

Though, if she were to be honest, she's rather impressed over everything he's accomplished.

Maybe even proud, but Dadan would never say that to anyone.

Shimotsuki Village, East Blue:

"Sensei, is it true? Did Roronoa Zoro really train at this dojo?"

This was the question Koushiro had been getting all morning from his students. The group of wide-eyed disciples have long heard of the 'Pirate Hunter's name, some of them were even inspired by him to take up the sword. Koushiro originally tried to keep it a secret as to not discourage some concerned folk from avoiding his dojo, but now it seems that there was no need.

"Yes, he was indeed once a student here." The swordmaster smiled "A bright pupil as well, his skills were unprecedented and during his time here he was almost unrivalled."

"However, I forbid you all to imitate him. We are still a school after all!" naturally this confirmation only further expatriated the hopeful student's awe. What followed was another flurry of questions, either about Zoro's techniques or whether or not Koushiro could teach them Santoryu as well.

"If you only knew what kind of role model you've become to people, even if it hasn't been the most virtuous…" the teacher thought with amusement "That aside, it seems you have continued to improve yourself, more than you ever could at my residence."

Ever since the young man graced his village and dojo years ago, challenging all who would duel him, Koushiro had known about his dream. It seems, in his own way, he's on the path to make it a reality. Now he is out making his name be known to the world, and while Koushiro might not always agree with the life his former student has chosen, he knows Zoro has his own path to walk.

"As long as you stay true to your sword, it doesn't matter who you become. Kuina would be proud to see where you are now."

Baratie Restaurant, East Blue:

"As of a week ago, the Judicial Island of Enies Lobby was intruded by none other than the same Straw Hat Pirates who've graced our establishment back then." Zeff informed a grinning group of chefs "They've endured hardships and came out on top, defying all the odds placed against them."

Throughout the speech, the chefs seemingly were laughing under their breath. It was for a good reason, after all who wouldn't in this situation?

"It is safe to say that, right now, the Straw Hat Pirates are on the way to becoming well known throughout the world…" Even Zeff had to stifle a guffaw as he held out one particular sheet of paper "…Including this wanted poster!"

"BWAHAAHAHA! SANJI IS THE BEST!" and at that point, the cooks couldn't hold it in any longer. Sanji was always keen on his appearance, the poster must be killing him right now!

"Now, let's begin the day with a fresh attitude!" Zeff commanded "Remember to provide only the best customer service, and don't forget to include the poster in our promotions!"

"Yeah! Welcome to the Baratie, where 'Black Leg' Sanji once called home!"

Zeff sat back with a smile, looking at the wanted poster of his surrogate son one last time. Perhaps it was a bit cheap to use advertisement such as this, but he was still a business owner, and all publicity is good publicity after all.

Sanji might hate that poster of his, but oh boy does Zeff love it.

Syrup Village, East Blue:

"Miss Kaya! Miss Kaya! Look!"

The clear weather brought about more than just sunshine, as the young woman looked up to see Usopp's kid followers rush up to her eagerly, their hands gesturing to newspaper. She already knows what it contained; she's been reading up on it all morning.

"Look how cool his mask is!"

"Why is he wearing a mask now?"

"He looks like a superhero!"

Kaya giggled at the sight of the excited kids fawning over their idol. Indeed, Usopp has often crossed her mind as well, after setting off on hid adventure she sometimes finds that she misses him dearly.

"It seems like he's doing well, he's still having fun isn't he?" Kaya smiled.

"Yeah! No one would believe us because of how high his bounty is, but we all know it's him!"

"He really is pushing himself out there…" the young lady noted the bandages that were visible in the picture "Life as a pirate must be hard…"

The three kids blinked as Kaya began walking back to her mansion "Miss Kaya, where are you going?"

She smiled at that "I have to get back to my studies! I'm going to become a doctor, so that once Usopp-san comes home I'll be able to take care of his wounds!"

That thought kept her smiling as she began her trek back, she quite looks forward to the day Usopp would once again grace the quiet town with jokes and laughter.

"I'm sure you'll have many stories to tell of the adventures you've been on." Kaya thought "I can't wait to hear about them all!"

Cocoyasi Village, East Blue:

"This is the most outrageous thing I've ever seen!"

"I can't believe she takes to this life so easily…"

The tone of disappointment were evident in the men that voiced them. Both Genzo and Deimo were peering at Nami's wanted poster with mixed emotions. Meanwhile, the two women with them just scoffed.

"We all gave her our blessing when she left, you had no problems with it back then." Nojiko reminded him.

"Yes, but she's a pirate for real now!" Deimo complained "Her stepmother was a Marine captain! What would Bell-Mere-taisa think if she knew Nami attacked the Judicial Island of all places?"

"Well maybe you should've voice those concerns when she went with them," Narsha scoffed at her husband "unless my memory serves incorrectly, your exact words were 'show everyone at sea that a young lady is not to be messed with, and give em hell!' Or did you forget that, darling?"

"…I didn't think she'd take it quite so literally…" Deimo grumbled.

"Well I, for one, agree with Deimo-san's judgement!" Genzo retorted "This is truly a problem-!"

"Thank you, Gen-san."

"-I mean look at this poster! How could she be shown in such an obscene pose?" Genzo grunted "At this rate, there will more suitors coming after her than bounty hunters!"

"THAT'S THE FIRST CONCERN YOU HAVE?!"

"He says this, yet he prints out such a large copy that it pretty much takes up the entire wall." Nojiko whispers to Narsha, who nodded in agreement.

"Then again, when you think about it, the fact that she got a bounty in the first place means those pirates have been taking care of her like they promised." Nami's sister noted with a smile. At that, the two men softened.

"Yeah… they really are true to their word." Genzo nodded.

"As long as she remains happy…" Deimo thought out loud "If she smiles, then we'd have no problems whatsoever."

"Besides," Nojiko pointed out "The next time she gets a new bounty it'll be even higher!"

"There had better be no next time!"

But overall, no one in the village could disagree with the fact that Nami was having a great time out there.

Loguetown, East Blue:

"WROOOOAGGHHHH! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS-DABE!?"

"THEY DID IT! THEY REALLY DID IT!"

Kenichi Yamane sighed as he tried once again to focus on his work, but the amount of noise in his office was just too much. The group of gangsters all laughed with mirth at the news of the Straw Hats' victory at Enies Lobby. They've been celebrating the news all day, and there doesn't seem to be any signs of stopping.

"Yo Ken!" Bartolomeo and Gambia ran up to him excitedly "Did you see the news! 'Straw Hat' Luffy totally stomped the Judicial Island!"

"Yes, Bartolomeo…" Ken groaned "I've seen it 28 times already, because that's how many times you've shown me the same newspaper!"

"I know! So cool right-dabe?!" Bartolomeo squeed again. After Gian and the rest of the Straw Hats depart the town weeks ago Bartolomeo's gang had become much friendlier to him, to the point where they regularly hang out together, though not always to Ken's convenience. The young scientist doesn't even know what happened; one moment they were bitter enemies and then Bartolomeo came to his doorstep and personally apologized for his past behavior towards him. Since that day, the group of thugs have more or less become his bodyguards, and Ken had to admit he did appreciate their presence. It is quite lonely around the island when he has work to do, and because of certain reasons Goro and everyone else could no longer visit him. That, and the fact that he really couldn't afford the rising insurance for much longer, so he was glad they're no longer bothering him.

Giving a small sigh Ken looked over the paper again, his eyes lingering on the poster of his surrogate brother. Gian's new whopping 354 million bounty is astounding, if not reason for concern. Ken mused over the thought; if Gian really managed to be that infamous, then the reason behind it couldn't be due to just him being associated with Monkey D. Luffy alone. No, there's no doubt about it, the world is beginning to find out about the power he contains.

"If the World Government caught onto it, then they're becoming aware of what it could do. They must've taken steps and attempted to contain him…" Ken mused "But the Gian I know wouldn't just go along with it like that, they probably know that by now too."

"Hmm? Didja say something?" Bartolomeo quipped.

"Ah! It's nothing! Just a stray thought!" Ken brushed him off. The rooster haired man simply nodded before going back to rejoicing over his heroes.

"Though, if they are aware of it now, then the steps the World Government will take to keep the existence of Kaiju-Zoans a secret will be far more drastic. And he's not the only one out there either…" Ken thought as he stood up from his chair, taking a transponder snail with him as he went to the back room.

"I better give Goro a call, just in case."

Solgell Island, East Blue:

"…I know, I've read the news as well."

Hiroshi Jinkawa waited anxiously as he listened to Goro speak across to Ken's call. The details were concerning; it seems that what they didn't want to see came to pass anyway.

A shuffling sound near him drew his attention, and Hiroshi looked down to see Rokuro looking at him with worry. The older man smiled to assure him that it is fine, ruffling the little boy's hair.

Finally they heard Goro hang up. The scientist stepped out of the room, a somber expression on his face.

"So it's true then, the world would now know about Gian's power…"

"I suppose it was bound to happen," Goro sighed "a secret like that, it's was always going to return to the world one way or another."

"And the timing…" Hiroshi whispered "Just as we're about to depart, he strikes an epicenter of the World Government."

Goro smiled at that "According to the news, it was because they were trying to save the Devil Child. To think the Commander had been looking for her for years, and she'd ended up in a crew alongside our brother."

"Both of them together in the Straw Hat Pirates, if anything the World Government will be sending more people after them." Hiroshi noted.

"It's kind of ironic now that I think about it." Goro thought "We had originally thought to send him away from us to protect him from the consequences of our affiliations, but the World Government has now directly set his eyes on him."

"Back then when he unintentionally revealed his powers to us, he thought it was him that I feared," the young scientist said with some regret "But the truth is, I was scared for him; of the powers his secret will attract if the World Government ever finds out our association with him. We convinced him to leave this island in a way to try to keep him safe from us, but it seems that the World Government found out about him anyways."

"This is of no fault of his, if he really did it to rescue someone, then it's consistent with the Gian we know." Hiroshi mumbled, placing a comforting hand on his partner.

"You're right…" Goro nodded "I just wish there was more we can do to help him. No doubt he's starting to realize the Kaiju-Zoan he's consumed means more than what he's originally thought it to be, I wish we could be there to take some pressure off of him."

"Not that we'd be much help, we've only got a few sparse texts to work with, and the Lion isn't exactly able to procure more." Hiroshi shook his head "There's no use worrying now, he'll figure things out in his own way. What we should be worried about right now, is how to get all of our luggage onto Mohmoo."

"You still haven't finished packing?" Goro quirked an eyebrow.

"Blame yourself for sending Jaguar away." Hiroshi smirked.

Chuckling to himself, Goro proceeded to continue packing until he felt a small hand tug at his sleeves.

"Big brother…" Rokuro mumbled "Will Gian-niisan be burdened by us?"

Goro gave a fleeting smile before picking the little boy up "Put your mind at ease, our brother is stronger than all of us…" stepping out of the lab he gave it one last look, a hint on longing as he bade the place he called home farewell.

"Come on, let's get going." Goro gestured to the sea cow towing a small dinghy "They'll be expecting us soon."

Sakura Kingdom, Grand Line:

"Doctor, it seems your son has been getting into all sorts of situations while he's away."

Dr. Kureha was in the middle of treating patients when Dalton went to see her in the castle. Since Wapol's eviction, the country has begun to recover from decades of abuse, and was beginning to see a positive change. Dalton himself had become king in the absence of one, and he seeks to lead the people of the Kingdom through a peaceful existence. Even with his new royal title, he remains the same honorable guard and seems much more content staying in his village home, in spite of Kureha offering him a place at the castle.

It has been lonely without Chopper here, the doctor admits. The halls of the building are now emptier than ever, and Kureha even misses teaching her former student medicine. She had attempted to take on more students, but all of them were either slow to learn, deathly afraid of her, or both.

So it comes as a nice surprise when Dalton finally delivers Chopper's wanted poster to her.

"Those kids… really getting ahead of themselves now, aren't they?" the doctor chuckled.

Dalton smiled "I figured you'd be wondering how Chopper is doing. It looks like life as a pirate suits him well."

"That it does, I can feel that he's been smiling a lot more while he's out there. Those kids are something special." Kureha agreed, barely hiding a smirk upon seeing Chopper's bounty amount. It was a priceless mistake on the World Government's part, and she could only imagine what her adopted son's reaction to that would be like.

"Thank you for cutting into my time Dalton, it's great to see him again." Kureha said "Even though we're far apart, it's great to be able to see his face again."

Kingdom of Alabasta, Grand Line:

Being the place where a close friend of the crew lives, the events of Enies Lobby were a hot discussion topic for the Alabasta Royal Family. The courage displayed by Luffy and Co. are not lost to them, and even though Alabasta is one of the founding nations of the World Government King Cobra wasn't all that surprised over their former savior's actions.

"When you think about it, it's exactly something Luffy-san would've done." The king chuckled "When he had no reason to save us from Crocodile's tyranny, he did so anyway. It seems that it's the same case here."

"But look at the members of the Straw Hats, that's Nico Robin! What is she doing with them?" Igaram pointed out, Cobra frowning at that.

"Yes… I had not expected that. She's been known to have joined multiple crews in the past, and now she's aligned herself with them as well."

"She must be planning something." Pell suggested "They were both enemies, she must be using them!"

"No, I don't think that's the case." It was Vivi who now spoke "I know Luffy-san well; during my time with them I could never know what he'll do next. But I do know that, for all his quirks, he knows how to choose his friends." The princess still had a bit of reservations against the former right hand of Baroque Works; she is a mysterious woman after all. However, even with her actions she found herself unable to fully hate Robin for what she's done in the past.

"If Luffy-san sees something in her and accepts her, then he must have his reasons as well. We've all seen what he's capable of, if he trusts her than I can trust his judgement too."

The group smiled at the princess, who despite being so young has been making more and more mature calls as of late.

"Thank you Vivi, if you're confident in that belief then we should have faith in whoever Luffy-san has chosen as nakama." Cobra announced. Vivi smiled at that before returning to see the news.

"That being said, it seems everyone has become known to the World by now. With Luffy-san and Gian-san both having such high bounties, they will surely be watched closely. I hope they will be alright…"

"They were able to overcome Crocodile, I'm sure they'll overcome everything else they see." Igaram coaxed. Vivi smiled at that.

"Yes, I suppose you're right. Perhaps I'm worrying too much."

"On that note, I suppose we should bring up the matter of the asset." Chaka spoke. The king's attention was drawn to a peach-shaped brown fruit, its skin leathery and seemed to show a horned face on its side. Vivi gulped; she could feel the aura roll off from it, and knew exactly who it once belonged to.

"What are we going to do with this?"

Island of Baltigo, Grand Line:

On a deserted island of rock and sand, another group of people were gathered for a much more hidden reason. Hiding within their constructed bases and mulling over the details of the world, they watched current events for a different cause.

"The winds are shifting in our favor! Just yesterday a few kingdoms in North Blue have sounded the horns of revolution."

"And today, the kingdom of Centaurea has successfully rebelled as well. Victory is approaching swiftly!"

These were the members of the Revolutionary Army. Despite their locations, their true forces are scattered around the World, sowing the seeds of discourse in their fight for freedom. The years were long, but their actions have begun to bear fruit for them slowly and surely, and they were quick to capitalize on their successes.

"Do not celebrate too early just yet." A gravelly voice alerted the group "These victories are just a small ripple in the grand scale of events, however welcome they are. Do not lose sight of our true objective."

"Of course sir!"

"Now, have we heard from Sabo yet?"

"Sir, the Chief of Staff is assisting in the attack on Manzamo Kingdom as we speak. We should be hearing from him and the Lion soon." A soldier reported.

"Very well, monitor that situation closely and send them any reinforcements should they need any." The man spoke again, his gaze then fell onto the news article "What's this?"

"Oh this? This is the news on the Straw Hats' attack on Enies Lobby. I have to say, that Monkey D. Luffy is something else! That entire crew has an astronomically high bounty! The World Government can't even ignore them anymore!"

"…Is that so?"

"Yeah, they're no joke! I heard that Monkey D. Luffy is actually related to Vice-Admiral Garp of the Marines! Just what is- Hey, where are you going?"

By now the man had already stepped away onto a balcony overlooking the shifting sands. His stern expression unreadable, his long hair unaffected despite the breeze. Only his green robes billowed in the gale, yet he seemed unfazed by the wind.

If you had looked at him closely, you would not have expected the Leader of the Revolutionary Army to be related to a pirate.

But Monkey D. Dragon is an elusive person; almost nothing of his life is known to the public, a fact that he's has no qualms about keeping up. After all, having most of his personal life shrouded in mystery is partially what allows him to plan under the radar as much as he has.

This includes the son that people have yet to make a connection to him. Dragon mused over the fact that Luffy is now also going head to head against the World Government, though he's not surprised considering he chose to be a pirate. Being the head of the opposing force to the World meant he's interacted little with his offspring, yet the trouble he's caused for the Government has understandably made him amused.

"Live your life as you see fit, Luffy." Dragon thought with a hint of pride "The world is changing, and you must change with it. Where you stand when everything turns itself on its head, will be determined by how you face the world itself."

"This will be something to tell, on the day when we finally meet." He finished his thought.

Unknown Island, Grand Line:

"Commodore Smoker! The Straw Hats' new bounties are out now! You and Ensign Tashigi should see this!"

The Smoke man and his unit are currently gathering themselves after a successful operation to apprehend yet another pirate they've tracked down to this place. Ever since leaving Alabasta, Smoker had thrown himself into his duties, stopping many acts of piracy wherever he goes. Of course, his true goal is still the same pirate crew that's escape him before.

"The Straw Hats… they're getting so powerful…" Tashigi mumbled "They actually managed to get out of Enies Lobby."

"It's clear right now we can't treat them as just any other pirate crew we've faced before." Smoker grunted "They're getting big in terms of reputation, eventually they'll be a major threat. If there's one thing good with this sham of a promotion it's that it's given me a bit more jurisdiction over what I can do in trying to stop them."

"Are you saying we need to improve further?" Tashigi asked.

"The events at Enies Lobby wasn't just a coordinated attack." Smoker responded "If what Kuzan told us about the reports are anything to go by, the unleashing of both 'Beast Warrior' Gian's and Gylzar of CP9's respective monsters have been causing waves in the upper ranks. This isn't even mentioning how 'Straw Hat' Luffy reportedly even harnessed the Kaiju's power for a limited time. If we're to go up against that, we will very much need to get stronger."

Smoker's gaze was fixed on his subordinate, who had fallen quiet after that explanation.

"You seem conflicted."

"It's just everything we've encountered in the last couple of years," Tashigi revealed "Ever since I became a Marine, I've been told my duty was to uphold justice and maintain peace through the world, but it seems that we've been continuously thrown into situations that involve more than just stopping pirates." The girl placed her glasses back on her head "Ever since I met Gideon, I encountered beings that wield power similar to his, I've often wondered how I can fight alongside him, when I don't even know what I can contribute."

Smoker thought over the swordswoman's words, before sighing and taking another puff from his cigar "The world is beginning to change, of that there is no doubt. Something that was perhaps meant to be hidden from us now begin to emerge from the cracks. It began before Gideon obtained his fruit, and continues even now. From the looks of it, it seems that Gian is the latest in that trend. Perhaps, that's why Gideon is so interested in him."

Before Tashigi could say more, the Commodore stood up and adjusted his jitte "I have my suspicions that there's a bigger force at play here as well, that there's more meaning to these supposed Kaiju-Zoans reappearing. Maybe Gideon's words have been getting to me, but the matter still stands that the Straw Hat Pirates now hold within their ranks someone who has that power, and for that we will hunt them down in the New World. We need to prepare ourselves more than ever."

Tashigi mused as Smoker walked off back towards their ship, before saying one last thing.

"To stop them, then we'll have to stop Gian as well… I know you've told me that he's a pirate now that he should be treated as such, but he was once someone we were acquainted with. I do not doubt your integrity, Smoker-san, but can we really take action against someone we knew so well?"

This time Smoker paused for longer, clearly in thought, before he simply growled "We have a job to do as Marines, that's all that matters."

"Of course, Smoker-san."

Off the coast of Marineford, Grand Line:

"How long has it been since you've last visited, Gideon? Was starting to think you've forgotten about us." a deep voice full of authority greeted the Gotengo as the mechanical vessel docked at a small island. As Gideon stepped out he saw the figure on the opposite side with a wide smile his face, waiting for him to reply.

"I've been quite busy, Zephyr-sensei." The blond Marine smiled back. There were many figures in the Marines, 'Black Arm' Zephyr was one of the most celebrated. This is a man who's fought besides Sengoku and Garp in multiple battles against piracy. A man who's fought for Justice and heroism since he's career begun, he even made it to become an Admiral during his heyday. But after one tragic incident after another, he decided that his time would be better suited to train the next generation instead. Gideon was one of those students, and he knew first hand of just what his old teacher is capable of.

"I'm sure you are, I've gotten wind of the news. Crazy stuff happening lately, with you and that undersea civilization and whatnot." Zephyr grinned. Gideon's encounter with the forcers of Mu were only shared with a select few Marines, Zephyr being one of the lucky few. "Come, walk with me. It seems you have a lot to say!"

The old man, despite being 72 years old, towered over Gideon. His muscular frame showing the results of decades of training and sculpting; even with the wounds he's collected during his career wasn't enough to bring him down. His purple hair cropped short contrasted with the weapon at his disposal: a massive mechanical right arm lined with seastone and doubling as a firearm. The pirate that brought him down that day also took his right arm as a trophy, but if Zephyr had anything to say he'd tell you that the Battle Smasher had been a very worthy replacement.

"You look well, getting used to the arm as well." Gideon smiled.

"Heh, that supposed Son of Whitebeard thought he broke me, but he only created a weapon that will one day destroy him!" the former admiral gloated, flexing the heavy prosthesis "Ain and Binz are training some new recruits, you should stop by later after we're done with our business."

"I'll keep that in mind," Gideon nodded, before falling silent and looking around "…Is Shifu here?"

"Kane is… preoccupied at the moment." Zephyr sighed. The person Gideon was referring to was another mentor of his, one that trained him in more than just basic drills. Once close with each other, a rather personal row had strained their relationship, one that both still have yet to face.

"I understand. I just hoped-"

"If you're asking me, one of you needs to take the first step, preferably both. It's been 2 years already, yet both of you hesitate to do so." Zephyr raised his remaining arm, noting the Vice-Admiral's crestfallen reaction.

"It's not that easy, the words I said that day to him were inexcusable. I can understand if he doesn't want to see me."

"You know that's not true, the words he said to you that day were out of line as well. He still sees you as a valued student, and I'm sure you'd still be willing to call him Master. It would be easier if you both just reconciled, but I know neither of you are good at apologizing. You're alike in that regard."

"Then again, what you want to say to me doesn't exactly require him to be here, doesn't it?"

Gideon grew serious at that "No, though it would maybe help if he was. Regardless, recent developments have revealed more information to me."

"And what did you find?" Zephyr continued.

"The history, the legend, and I caught a glimpse of the First Kaiju." Gideon replied "I saw one of them down there, a real one that has existed in this world since before our time. It showed me… visions. Visions that revealed so much to me."

"Kane never saw himself as a prophet, but when he demonstrated his own power, I had my own suspicions." Zephyr said after "Then you came under my tutelage, and you demonstrated a similar power, and with every encounter you've been through, that all adds up to something doesn't it?"

"If what I found down there connects, then everything I've encountered in the last 5 years all add up. The Kaiju-Zoans, a supposed mythical class of Devil Fruit, are begun to appear in more and more people. Master Kane, the 'Death Knight', the ones currently flying the flags of the Yonko?" Gideon clasp his left hand down into a fist "Me... yet another bearer of this cursed fruit."

"You can add two more to that list." Zephyr replied "Everyone's gotten the reports from Enies Lobby by now, but the details of 2 more monsters aren't known to everyone. One a member of CP9, the other-"

"-is 'Beast Warrior' Gian." Gideon finished for him "Him, and the Straw Hat Pirates raided Enies Lobby."

"So you're familiar with him." Zephyr nodded "To think power like that is in the hands of yet another pirate."

"And it's more than that." Gideon shook his head "This isn't just any other Kaiju, according to few documents I've found the monster, it the same one Master Kane referred to when he spoke of the Twin Dragons. We are opposites, but bound to bring about calamity."

"So there was truth to it after all." Zephyr scoffed "I never would've believed it before but when you were referred to me, when I first met Kane to be fully honest, I began to realize the World Government were hiding some facts."

His face morphed into a scowl "Then again, details like that seem to be promptly ignored by those sitting up there. They really claim to be for Justice, yet seem perfectly willing to overlook something that could threaten the peace in this world. Should've expected, after all who else would be so complacent in dealing with criminals?"

Gideon noticed his former teacher was looking towards the buildings on Marineford, and then past that into the Red Line. He wasn't unfamiliar with his attitude, for ever since he lost his family and then his arm his views of how the Marines were operating became increasingly jaded. He still fought for the values of Justice and Valor instilled in him, naturally, but in the recent years he's become a vocal opponent of how the World Government's influence runs within the Marines, namely the Shichibukai system. He wasn't alone in this either, it was a belief shared by a growing number of Marines in the organization.

It was something the two of them could partially agree on. Gideon himself had no love for pirates; he and Zephyr both have had tragic encounters with piracy and dealt with the aftermath in their own way. Even if he recognizes the need of having the Shichibukai, he cares little about them regardless and would rather see them gone.

"The Gorosei seemed to be paying attention to him, considering it was them that sounded the alarm to CP9." Gideon replied "Though their concern is more of how much of a potential threat he poses to them."

"Tch, power hungry old farts." Zephyr growled "Just going to cover up what they can't have."

"Regardless, it'll be better if they don't get involved." Gideon retorted "More room for me to operate."

"So you really are going to mobilize your own little operation, aren't you?" Zephyr asked "What are you planning to do first?"

"Trying to link up my findings the best I can, the Gensui has given me that much leeway at least." Gideon replied "If what I learned about the true calling of those Kaiju-Zoan users are perceived to be ring true, then I'll eliminate them. Starting with 'Beast Warrior' Gian."

"I suppose you'll be quite busy then." The instructor nodded "Looks like Ain and Binz will have to miss you once again."

"I'll take a raincheck for that, but I'll see you around." Gideon saluted before he began his walk back to the Gotengo before stopping.

"And… tell Master Kane I said hi."

Marine Headquarters, Marineford, Grand Line:

"Come on Sengoku, it wasn't that bad! I really did try to catch them!"

The Fleet Admiral wanted to slam his head into his desk as he heard the Vice-Admiral talk. He and Garp were old comrades, they've fought alongside each other for decades. He knows about his friend's strength more than anyone else, having personally witnessed it many times.

Still, the times Garp has made his job difficult was more than he could count.

"This is the third time your grandson and his crew has disrupted the balance of power!" Sengoku snapped "He gone straight ahead and attacked the Judicial Island! You're being way too easy on him!"

"I know, I never thought he'd have the guts to do that!" Garp responded, though he clearly didn't think much of it. "He even gave the soldiers stationed there a run for their money, and they're supposed to be some of our best!"

"Take this seriously, Garp!" Sengoku seethed "The Commander-in-Chief is on my ass about everything that has happened! The Gorosei are expecting answers as well! Your grandson had dealt yet another blow to the organization; we haven't even recovered from the attacks of those rogue Mu operatives yet! Do you know how many more problems 'Straw Hat' added to my plate?!"

"Gwahahaha! It's really something isn't it?" Garp laughed, clearly proud of his relation's actions "Even CP9 met their defeat at his hands, what great plan have you come up with to stop him?"

Sengoku only glowered at his jovial friend; yup, he's definitely considering strangling Garp any second now.

"Besides, it's not like life won't be more difficult for him now." Garp snickered "He's now in spotlight for what he did, if you want him gone you can always hope whoever finds him takes him out, not that they'd be a match for Luffy anyway."

"It's more than that! Do you know what this implies?" Sengoku sighed "Monkey D. Luffy is becoming more than a pirate, there have been whispers out there that he's heralding something far more ancient that's beyond the control of us!"

"Oh, now you're just pulling my leg!" Garp scoffed "My grandson might be a wild kid sometimes, but he doesn't have anything historical about him!"

"You say that, yet your entire lineage bears the Will of the D." Sengoku glared "Besides, it's not just him that's the problem: it's the people he's associated himself with."

A click of a remote and the Den Den Mushi on the Fleet Admiral's desk awoke and shot a ray of light from its eyes. Garp stared impassively at the broadcast: the same footage of the final battle of Enies Lobby. He watched the clip play out, how Luffy and 'Beast Warrior' clashed with Rob Lucci and Gylzar of CP9, his grandson locking punches with the leopard assassin while the two Kaiju they stood upon rammed towards each other, taking particular note of the ephemeral blue glow flowing from 'Beast Warrior' Gian's body and swirling around the rubber boy.

"I've seen the footage already, I already know what happened." This was not the Garp that joked around to his superiors anymore, his face now stone and full of authority "To be fair, Luffy is a strong kid and for his spirit to balance itself with the Aura of a Kaiju it shouldn't come as a surprise. I just never expected for one to end up as his nakama."

It was one of the many reasons why the Fleet Admiral had always trusted him. His rebellious nature no doubt passed onto the rest of his family, and it was hard to rein in even for those on his side. All said, when matters become serious he's truly not one to take things lightly, and there was no one else Sengoku would rather have to back him up.

"If it was that easy, then there wouldn't be a problem." Sengoku stated "But you know there's a reason why only Marine officers with the rank of Vice-Admiral and above are given this information. If word gets out to the public about there being-"

"That's your job isn't it? To help keep all of this information hidden?" Garp interrupted "If you ask me, The World Government's got its head up its ass. There's no benefit to keeping the public in the dark."

"And you know why I can't do that!" Sengoku snapped "Believe me, I can't understand this logic sometimes and I know it could save us a lot of headaches, but if the existence of Kaiju were revealed to the world, the results will be catastrophic! If the legends of their power ring true, then people will go to lengths to obtain them, what will you do then?"

"And I suppose those Four Emperors getting their hands on individuals who bear the spirit of those beasts just happen to get lucky then?" Garp scoffed "Face it Sengoku, it's inevitable that the existence of Kaiju will be known to the world. You can help them whitewash it all you want, spin whatever cover up you think of, but they're out there, you can't hide that forever."

"I know that!" Sengoku snapped "But I don't have a choice! There are secrets not meant to be known to everybody! You know that more than everyone else in this room, don't you?"

Garp grimaced at that "How could I not? I was there that day, wasn't I? I saw that thing break out of its prison! It took everything just to stop it!" he took a deep breath, before resigning to his friend's statement.

"Fine, you can keep this charade up, not that it'll do you much good. What does this have anything to do with my grandson though?"

"Because doesn't the fact that your grandson can somehow harness a limited amount of Aura remind you of anyone?"

Garp narrowed his eyes "…Roger was once able to do the same. Supposedly a Kaiju's spirit is only balanced by the spirit of strong individuals, particularly those deemed worthy to be King. That's what Roger told me at one point, and it seems to apply to a few people that we're familiar with-" Garp clenched his fist "-including Him."

Sengoku got up and placed a hand on his comrade's shoulder "He's no longer of this world, but the fact that more people are potentially capable of the same as he brings this to concern. The other thing of note is 'Beast Warrior's' Kaiju. You should find that familiar as well, don't you?"

Garp mused over the image of the fiery theropod, before letting out an audible sigh.

"So it has returned. When I encountered 'Beast Warrior' at Water 7 I hadn't picked up on it, but looking at it now there's no mistake."

"That's right, for the first time in over 50 years the Goji-Goji no Mi has resurfaced. This time it's even more pressing because-."

"-Both pieces have reawakened around the same time." Garp finished "The Ancient King and the One who is Many, both of them have found hosts."

Sengoku said nothing; Garp was the one who experienced most of it after all.

"…But the seal that requires them is no longer in this world, I saw that place vanish with my own eyes. It couldn't possibly be activated now! The seal in Mariejois is still being overseen by the Gorosei, and the supposed third sea has not been found yet!"

"Unfortunately, that is no longer true." Sengoku sighed.

"…What?"

"You've probably got news of Gideon's report by now." the Fleet Admiral explained "How he's pacified a rebellion from an underwater kingdom? What it didn't tell you was what he found: the third seal of the Progenitor, and it was even breached momentarily before the beast was imprisoned once more. In fact, the undersea kingdom of Mu was supposedly built around it."

"Then that means… all 3 seals have been uncovered…"

"And what's more, according to Gideon, your grandson and his crew were present at the Kingdom during those events as well. Their exact reason for doing so is not known, but it could be safe to assume that some of them now know about the contents of that seal."

"…If even one of those seals break, then-!" Garp gritted, in his mind the events of a day ages past resurfaced "What can we do now?"

"Currently I'm thinking of sending Gideon down there again to try and bridge communications with Mu Kingdom, perhaps cooperate on making sure that seal remains untouched at least. The second seal under the 5 elders should be stable, if they're diligent in their promise, and we still don't know of what became of the third." Sengoku sighed "Meanwhile, you need to be prepared. Your grandson is now in the proximity of the Goji-Goji no Mi user. Should it continue to develop, we may have a potentially world ending threat that will perhaps be too much for the Marines to handle."

Garp said nothing, but his face spoke it all. If what he saw that day would come to transpire yet again, then this time there may not be the same outcome.

Holy city of Mariejois, Red Line:

The capital of the World Government is a shining contrast against most of the world. Home of the World Nobles, a group of individuals with vast privilege and wealth. The status of their birth combined with the authority they wield has, in their shallow minds, made them see themselves as the sole rulers of the world. They rarely venture into the world below, preferring not to associate with commoners and living in decadence and indulgence.

And chief amongst them, 5 Elders who oversee the plans for the world. They hold absolute authority over the inner workings of the Marines, the Cipher Pol units, and their power is absolute.

However, even their rule is riddled with cracks.

"It is clear now, 'Straw Hat' Monkey D. Luffy can no longer be ignored." Sitting within their ivory palace, the Gorosei who operate behind the curtains watch over current events with an invisible but all-knowing eye. The news of Enies Lobby reached them quickly, and to say they were displeased was understating it.

"A bearer of the Will of D., the son of the Revolutionary Army's leader, and now someone whom one of the Kaiju bows its head towards.

"It appears Garp's lineage is full of mistakes."

The world was about to change, even now the waves of their world was beginning rock the boat. Old secrets, new threats, all hovering over an uncertain future.

"Worse still, we have failed to procure 'Beast Warrior' Gian's power. The being he holds within him, it cannot be allowed to run wild. We must secure those weapons, contain them within our ranks."

"Perhaps we can send the 'Golden Kaiser' to pacify him, but the risk of their meeting would be far too high. We must have no mercy anymore: the Kaiju-Zoans must be contained!"

"Yet even now, their rumblings are beginning to sound. Individuals who bears the souls of primordial beasts, their ranks are scattered amongst the seas, under the hands of others who threaten the balance. They are beginning to gather, beginning to wake, beginning to plot. We were unable to stop the meeting of Whitebeard and 'Red Hair' Shanks, we cannot afford the balance of powers to be upset."

"And all that must be done, for the sake of order in this world." One final Elder spoke softly "For the barrier that separates that ancient evil still remain in the depths of this city, and it cannot be allowed to see the light of day…"

The Five Elders turned towards a display screen within their meeting room, watching with uncertainty. The footage was dark, but it was clear to see many artifacts laying within a massive underground chamber. At the center of it all were rows of stone blocks, Poneglyphs with indescribable writing, arranged in a square pattern surrounded by foreboding raven head statues, each with 3 pairs of eyes and glowing with a sinister black…

Manzamo Kingdom, South Blue:

The planning of this battle had taken months, but just then it had ended in hours.

What started with a greedy and corrupt king, the oppression of his subjects grew to a fever pitch. Rebellion was inevitable, and fanning the flames were none other than a group who've watched them for a long time. It may have been only a small country, but the spirit of its people shined true.

Indeed, even as the old coat of arms were ripped from the poles, its despotic ruler disposed of and the new flag erected, there was one thing in particular that was heard above the rest of the fanfare:

"Hail the Revolutionary Army!"

As people danced in the streets, one figure stood above it all. Observing the sight of rejoicing with a smile, the man did not join in. He, with a small group of guerilla fighters, only partially aided in the revolution, rather than taking credit for the rebellion they simply inspired the people to do so. It was the people that ultimately won their freedom, but the group's contributions were no doubt recognized.

He on the other hand, was simply content to see the people coming to terms with their newfound freedom.

"And they ask how you do it?" a voice, smooth as silk, alerted the man. He looked up with a smile, adjusting his goggled top hat and waved. The newcomer, another man wearing a rather extravagant sand colored fur coat, striped up to his companion, his own sandy brown hair lightly dancing in the night. "Honestly, it's like magic wherever you go."

"You're giving me too much credit." The man chuckled.

"Ah, but look at them down there! People can be held down, chained and lashed, and beaten until they break. But the embers of hope will flicker into a roaring inferno no matter what. All it took is one reaction for change, and you became that change."

"We've become that change, Caesar." The man brushed it off "You, me, everybody at the organization, and the people themselves. They're the ones who want change to happen, we're just giving them the tools to do so."

"That sounds fresh, you should put that in a book!" The man, Caesar, gave a catlike smile as he adjusted his sunglasses "I'm serious about one thing though, everywhere you go you make miracles happen. It's impressive really."

"I wouldn't even call it that, it's just something I've known I have to do when I was brought in. Everywhere I go, I see the common people suffer persecution. Spending time with the Army has taught me that. I see Dragon-san, Iva-chan, all of you fighting for the freedom of people. I need to hold up that standard as well."

"Altruistic as always." Caesar nodded with approval "But I understand what you mean. Some of them have lost everything to the World Government and can't stand that happening to other people, while other have wished for change since their youth. In another timeline, where I didn't reject my heritage, I would've been your enemy. But now that I'm here, I have a commitment to set things right from what people like my family has done to this world."

"You're not your family, Caesar. Anyone can see that." The young man reassured him.

"Thanks for the pep talk, but just the mention of my former heritage would be enough to sour their views of my association. At least my sister seemed to be going on another path." The man grinned.

"But enough of that, the people may have won a great battle today, but Dragon-san still needs that report."

"Ah! I almost forgot!" the youth cried out, hoisting a lead pipe onto his shoulders and he took off. He got 3 steps in before a stray newspaper smacked into his face.

"Oh, sorry. I was reading that earlier." Caesar apologized. The youth rubbed his face before finally reading the headline.

"Enies Lobby… A group of pirates attacked the Judicial Island!"

"I know right? Crazy isn't it." Caesar chuckled "One of the World Government's strongholds, unassailable for centuries and a group of pirates and their allies managed to escape a Buster Call that was sent to destroy it in less than a day! I know we aren't at that level yet, but can you blame me for being a bit envious?"

"The leader of the 'Straw Hat' Pirates… is someone called Monkey D.-" the blond youth remained focused on the newspaper, his eyes reading over the pirate captain's name "-Luffy..."

"Yeah, that kid's got guts!" Caesar chuckled "The whole crew, actually! If I knew what was going down I would've actually- hello? You alright?"

He had a reason to ask, because at that moment the blond youth let out an audible gasp before clutching his left eye. It was brief, but Caesar immediately rushed over to his companion. The youth's hand had let go of his eye, a red burn mark contrasting the porcelain skin. He's had it ever since he was a child, but the exact circumstance of it was unknown.

"You ok? Are you sick?" Caesar asked.

"I'm… I'm fine." The blond responded "I don't know why, but the name Monkey D. Luffy seems very familiar to me, but I don't know where I would've heard it from."

"Do you… perhaps remember anything?" Caesar asked with hope, but the man shook his head.

"I thought I did, but it went away before I could make anything of it. It was only a brief flash, but when I saw Monkey D. Luffy's name, my head was filled with an image of 3 children. It went away before I even saw it clearly."

"That's is very strange…" Caesar frowned "But it's progress nonetheless. Nobody said this would be fast, I'm sure more will come to you eventually." He gave a smile and patted him on the back.

"I wish it was so," the blond sighed "When I tried to look back to before Dragon-san found me, it's all blank. I want to remember, I want to so badly! But I just can't recall anything."

"And you will remember, it will come one day." Caesar soothed him "It's just a matter of time, and how much are you prepared for it. Sometime a life lived before, if you've lost it, it simply means you should prepare yourself for what you will remember. It might not be as great as you imagined it to be."

"I know that, I have a gut feeling that my past isn't as bright as I would hope. Thinking about me brings a sense of discomfort, but I feel as if there is important things locked in my memory, the memories I want to keep."

"Worry about that later, for now just go send in that report, unless you want Koala-chan to yell at you again."

"That convinced me." the man grinned before dusting his coat off "Go and see if the townspeople need any more supplies, Caesar."

Caesar smiled at the departing man before walking the opposite direction.

"You got it," He mumbled "Sabo."

In the seas of the New World:

Dark clouds blotted the sky as a lone ship floated atop the waves. A massive vessel with a whale figure head, the Moby Dick was a ship whose reputation only fell short of the flag it bore. To all those on the seas, fear and awe is what they feel when they spot the fluttering visage of one of the most recognizable symbols of the New World.

And the ship is headed by a man whose strength defies the world itself. A man who upon the mere mention of his name could send entire crews scattering. In the years he's dominated the rough seas, only a select few had the honor of standing even close to him.

This man was none other than Edward Newgate. A name that imposes authority on its own, but the averae folk simply knew him by him moniker.

Whitebeard.

A mountain of a man, the captain of the Whitebeard pirates sat upon his throne, his face displaying no thoughts. Just the mere sight of him could make one feel the difference in strength between them. Even in his old age, hooked by multiple medical apparatuses, he remained the World's Strongest Man.

And for one of the Yonko, the only one who could stand equal was another.

"You're late, 'Red Hair'." The old man rumbled "Did a few Marines battalions really give you that much trouble? Or were you just holding back?"

The air was foggy, but one could see rows of wrecked ships. But the approaching sound of footsteps were unmistakable. The subordinates of Whitebeard all stood at attention, weapons drawn and ready to strike. A few hung back however, for this fight was not for them.

"You all shouldn't be there to face him-yoi." A smooth voice warned "The person you're up against is far above your level."

"We know his reputation, Commander Marco, but even an Emperor would not dare to attack us on Oyaji's ship!"

No sooner did the pirate exclaim that, they were overwhelmed by a crushing force. So great was this power that the deck of the Moby Dick threatened to crack. One by one, they dropped to the deck, eyes rolled back and unresponsive. Marco, Commander of the First Division of the Whitebeard Pirates, sighed with some annoyance; the pineapple haired man had sailed under the Old Man for decades, this was a sight far too common. Newbloods eager to prove their strength soon learned that the seas were unforgiving, and that included the people on it.

"Was that really necessary-yoi?"

"They know I'm here to speak to their captain, they should not get in the way." Was Shanks' response. His eyes never left Whitebeard's as he strode forward fearlessly, flashing Marco a smile "You ever gave more thoughts on joining my crew, Marco the Phoenix?"

"Same response as last time-yoi!" Marco responded curtly, teal colored wisps of fire beginning to spark near him.

Whitebeard narrowed his eyes at that comment. The old man was protective of his crew and, joking or not, taking his family from him is not something he takes lightly.

"Finally decided to show your face to me?" the old man staggered to his feet, ripping the drip needles from his body. Decades of battle and strain has taken a toll on his body, but even now he's the same imposing sight as he always was. Whitebeard towered over Shanks, but the younger man showed no hesitation as he brought out an expensive bottle.

"I must apologize for Rockstar's impudence." Shanks responded "He's a young man, eager to prove himself. I hope you'll look past any disrespect."

"Tch, a brat like that would soon learn his place. I'll let the seas batter him around." Whitebeard grumbled as he lifted his cup "It has been quite some time since we've met, I still remember you and that red nosed boy as mere wide-eyed cubs serving on Roger's ship. Ever since you've made a name for yourself, you've been rather hard to find. Can't say I agree with what you did with the arm, however."

Shank smirked "This? I simply bet it on the New Era."

"Quit cutting corners with me, brat." Whitebeard growled "Why are you really here."

"It's a simple request." Shanks responded "Tell Portgas D. Ace to stop looking for Blackbeard."

Whitebeard's eyes narrowed "And why should I do that?"

Shanks said nothing for a while as he brought his hands up to his eye, 3 parallel scars lining his vision "The marks he gave me are resonating to his presence. He is planning, gaining strength as he plots from the shadows."

"Watch yourself, brat…" Whitebeard warned "Perhaps you should first introduce us to your guest of honor that you brought along with you."

The other Sons of Whitebeard, observing the conversation between the two Emperors, looked out to sea.

"We've got more company." A large burly man named Jozu tilted his head to the left. The lower subordinates, just getting over the shock of Shanks' willpower, got up groggily only to get another surprise.

"W-What's that?!"

"Is that man… walking on water?!"

"He's brought him too?" Marco scoffed before looking upwards "Yoi, Vecelli! Your playdate is here!"

The winds, previously smoother, now begun to pick up as a cloaked figure atop the lookout post of the Moby Dick knelt and observed the newcomer. Triton looked up with expectancy, his footsteps quiet against the waves. His own Kaiju-Zoan granted some unique powers, some people have not believed.

"If it isn't 'Ocean Tempest' Triton? Long time no see." Vecelli, revealed to be the man balancing himself against the pole, said dismissively. He was man of medium height, a green cloak wrapped around tight aerodynamic clothing, his pant legs strapped with daggers. His lower face was covered by a black mask, the rest of his head obscured by a green hood. Only his auburn eyes peered from the veil, observing the one down below haughtily.

"'Demon Wind' Vecelli." Triton greeted "Vecelli, The Unbelievable."

"We're using both titles now, huh? Let me guess, got a new prophecy lately?" the man taunted, to the jeers of a few more of Whitebeard's commanders. Triton remained unaffected, merely stopping as the two men observed each other.

"Perhaps not, but there will be things that involve you."

"You even brought along your beast." Whitebeard snorted "I take it that you mean what you've said.

"I let things go as they are, but I will not compromise on Marshall D. Teach." Shanks responded cooly.

"You should stay out of our Family's business, 'Red Hair!" Vecelli retorted.

"He wants 'Fire Fist' to find him, he has a plan, and you know that fact well." Shanks continue "The balance of power is shifting, it is coming sooner than you think."

"Ancient Fears are awakening, emerging from the shadows to take hold in the living world." Triton recited "The world will be shaken, the balance will be torn asunder, and the Beasts will dine. It will begin when the Void of Darkness surrounds the Flaming Spirit."

The wind was beginning to how at this point, and the clouds above them swirled. Some of the more inexperienced pirates were panicking, scrambling in alarm. Marco and the other commanders remained silent however, as they continued to watch. Even as Whitebeard finally stood up fully, glaring at the younger pirate, they didn't even flinch.

"I know more about Teach than you do, 'Red Hair'."

"Then you are aware of that he will be coming after you, he is here to take your title, your life." Shanks said "Ace is just a diversion, he cannot face Teach as he is now. He's trying to get to you."

Shanks didn't even flinch as Newgate slammed the butt of his massive bisento down onto the deck, merely reaching for his sabre.

"Take my life? Well, it's around that time when I remind him of our family's decree!"

"It seems they're really going to fight-yoi." Marco sighed "Stay back all you newbies, you don't wanna get in the way of this."

"You should all listen to him." Shanks vouched "No one could've stopped this."

"You really think, you're at the point where you can give me advice? You brat…" Whitebeard growled.

"I am only giving you a warning, take what you will from that."

"Well, then you're still 100 years too young to do that!" Whitebeard roared as he brought his bisento up "You may be an Emperor now, but to me you'll always be that same brat who served on Roger's ship! I on the other hand-" Shanks braced himself as Whitebeard charged at him; despite the former's old age, few he's ever encountered save for maybe Dracule Mihawk could move at such speed.

"-I AM WHITEBEARD!"

And the shockwave resulted from both blades crashing into each other almost blew the crew away.

"So you really do got another batch of gibberish." Vercelli scoffed towards Triton while their respective captains clashed. "Same old shit as ever with you, isn't it?"

"Choose to ignore what you will, but the power you hold within you remains vital. You, the bearer of one of the Elemental Beasts, have a key to play in all of this."

"Tick tock, tick tock. It's always the same beat whenever I run into you, it's annoying really." Vecelli growled as he pointed a fist towards the trident wielder, the serrated claws tipping his gauntlet glimmered slightly. "Ever since Ace left to go after Teach, I had to babysit for him. By disrespecting him, you disrespect me."

A swirling mass of air was beginning to form around Vecelli as he crouched lower, his eyes becoming more silted and bloodthirsty.

"Well let me once again remind you-"

*KRRRRREEEEEEEEE!

"-I HAPPEN TO BE A NONBELIEVER!"

A trumpeting roar sounded as Triton morphed into his long necked Full Transformation with one swirling waterspout. Mere seconds later did his opposite crash into him, claws sinking into his bumpy scales. The beast opposing him was a peculiar one: a massive lizardlike beast, back lined with stake like spines and sail-like flaps of skin between its legs. The two beast gave off a howl as they collided, sending the now rocky seas churning.

The foot soldiers of the crew witnessed it all: two powerful captains crashing with the force of nature. On the heels of that, two primordial relics, reawakened in men.

Compared to them, they were simply insignificant.

"Look up!" one pointed as he trembled "The sky is splitting apart!" indeed even the clouds parted above the Moby Dick. In the face of the powers present, nature itself was insignificant.

"Just what is this power?" Another gasped.

"What you see here," Marco merely shrugged "This, is the power of those who sails these seas."

And it's true, in the seas of the New World, few could match the power of the Yonko and their ilk.

Whole Cake Island, New World:

This land was a whimsical one, one of smiles and laughter. Walking down the yellow brick roads you can see the smiles of every being that walked down it, smiles everywhere. Even the houses, lamp posts, shrubs and flowers are smiling and singing, in fact just about every object has a bright, smiling face.

Because this is Tottoland, a place where people of all backgrounds can come and live in peace. Its warm atmosphere would tell you everything about the place.

And in the big castle at the capital, its matriarch was happily enjoying her day. The obese old woman had a jolly deposition about her, her pink dress and even pinker bicorn hat showed a positive attitude. She swayed in the warm breeze, her heart full of anticipation as she broke into song.

"Mamamama! Today's the day! When will the sweets arrive at my home?"

"In mere hours, Mama!" "Flowers! Flowers!"

It seems that the entire castle was in song, from the servants to the sentient objects. All of them danced around the large woman, singing the happy song.

"From chocolate, candies and cakes and pastries?"

"They will all be yours, Mama!" "Balloons! Balloons!"

The beautifully orchestrated music send everyone into a joyous mood, the castle became full of dancing.

"This is the land of happiness! Where everyone is full of smiles! A magical place, full of magical charm! The flowers smile! The clouds laugh!"

"You're welcome here! It's your home!

"Is there a cost?"

"Not much!"

"Just be thankful of my hospitality, my generosity! And when I ask for it, give me my tributes!"

"Candy!"

Surely, nothing bad could ever happen here.

Surely, behind this cheerful land there isn't something sinister lurking in the darkness.

"HOW COULD BIG MOM DO THIS?!"

"WE'RE ONLY LATE ON OUR PAYMENT BY 2 DAYS!"

The entire island was burning, people screamed as they ran, the lucky ones at least. Mutilated bodies and stray parts lay around for those who couldn't as troops of soldiers ran their weapons through them.

And a horrifying screech sounded as more fire engulfed the land, the terrified masses could only watch as a massive shadow towered over them.

"Bring me my candy, my treats! If you can't then it will be unfortunate!"

"I'm a generous ruler, I promise! But in life, there has to be laws!"

"Live in this peaceful land! But you must pay your dues! If you cannot, then I'd have to kill you!"

Countless people ran but they couldn't escape as they were crushed. More flashes of light as immolating balls of napalm scorched the island, incinerating all who were caught in its path. The giant beetle-like creature only strode forwards, punishing all underfoot as it swung its drill like arms.

And just as the cheerful crowd back at the castle finished their own song, here on the forsaken island another group was about to reach their own ending. A group of jolly singers, some mere soldiers wearing chess uniforms, others living animals and instruments, were playing the final melodies of what the unfortunate islanders could only describe as what was about to become of them.

"So pay me your sweets in time! Or she will come after you!"

"The ascended daughter, the Key to the Ancient!"

"She's the one that will deliver upon you your fate

"MACARON!"

Far away from the final crescendo, the vault doors of an island offshore burst open, scattering the bodies blown into it. The giant monster was no longer seen, rather a humanoid figure walked in, encased in light black armor. The person looked around the vault as outside the soldiers hauled carts of candy back to their ship. Placing twin lances down, the figure gave a satisfied nod before finally removing the helmet, a covering shaped like a rhinoceros beetle, revealing Charlotte Macaron, a pale woman with eyes painted black and red streaks running down them. Grinning, she reached towards a Den Den Mushi and made a call.

"The deed is done, Mama! The candy is here! Shall I also dispose of the lives they hold dear?"

"Excellent, my child!" Charlotte Linlin, better known as Big Mom, cackled at the other end "Bring me the candy they were supposed to pay me, and just kill half of them: we still need some alive to produce next month's tribute after all!"

Macaron bid farewell before turning to the down bodies, striding over and picking up one man who still lived, the fearful whelp could hardly meet her gaze.

"You've failed to deliver, you failed to pay." She rhymed "Your life is now mine, to end as I may!"

"P-Please! Have mercy!" the man begged "We only missed the deadline because of a problem at the factory! We'll have next month's ready on time! I promise!" They were an island under the flag of the Yonko, and 2 days ago envoys of the Big Mom Pirates have come to claim the sugary tributes only to find a deficit and naturally that could not go unpunished. Macaron has done this often, her along with her many siblings are there to make sure many of their protected territories bring their tributes on time if they don't wish to suffer the consequences.

"That is not my concern, but that promise you'd better keep." She growled "If I have to return, you will not wake from your sleep."

As she let the man go and walked back towards the ship with the tribute in tow, the broken man could only watch helplessly, knowing that this is the life of subjugation under Big Mom.

Truly, nothing terrible ever happens in Tottoland.

Onigashima, New World:

The stormy seas surrounded a demonic skull shaped island, off the coast of an ancient country. Even to this day, Wano country is functionally independent from the World Government. Isolated from the world, few people have every made it in, and fewer still left.

Not just because of centuries old policy, but also who really rules the country. The shogun of Wano may be the leader, but the one backing him up resides off the coast, watching the country with keen interest as his multitude of factories pump out weapons and supplies for his ever growing army.

But now, he doesn't seem to notice something approaching his palace.

"Where is he…?"

No, he'd rather be drinking.

Because when you're the Strongest Creature in the World, 'Hundred Beasts' Kaido fears nothing.

"Where is my High Marshal…? Where is Xenon?"

So engrossed in his alcoholic intake, Kaido hardly addressed the bright ball of light streaking towards Onigashima. He blinked blearily as the object, a heated meteorite crashed into the coast with a loud BOOM.

"That would be Xenon-sama landing, Kaido-sama." King the Conflagration reported, the winged member of the Calamities looked alongside his master as the smoking debris cleared, revealing a humanoid figure crawling out of the wreckage.

Moments later, footsteps sounded Kaido's hall. The horned Yonko looked upon the approaching figure. Xenon is a mystery even to the members of the Beast Pirates, having appeared to them only around 4 years ago with nothing more than a name and a challenge. After a skirmish, he merely joined Kaido's forces, not asking much more questions. Some within the ranks have questioned the motives of this stranger joining their crew, but Xenon was soon granted the role of High Marshal, outranking even the Calamities, and second only to Kaido himself.

Indeed, the man who walked in Kaido's war room was an intimidating sight. Clad entirely in ivory bone armor, his skull shaped helmet showed only a pair of glowing orange eyes. The 3 Calamities bowed their heads upon his arrival, Xenon paid them no attention as Kaido rose up from his slouch.

"Sometimes I wish that meteorite of yours would just bust through this hall and onto my head…"

"You know that will not kill you, Kaido-sama. You've experienced it once already, after all."

Kaido took another swig from his flask before turning to the skeletal figure "Has Doflamingo been true to his word?"

"Your efforts bear fruit, Kaido-sama," the voice sounded echoed, resonating from everywhere yet nowhere "Doflamingo has promised us a production factory within his kingdom. Our shipments of SMILEs will double, or so he says."

The horned pirate broke into a grin.

"He knows what will happen should he fail me." Kaido stated as he leaned against his massive spiked kanabo "Excellent, my army still grows by the day."

"As it should, it is only natural that your power grows." Xenon's words border the line of respect and mockery, one that Kaido noted, but pays little mind to. The mysterious warrior has thus far proven useful to him, and given their history, he has intention to keep him alive for as long as he needs him.

"Worororo! The changing of this world is inevitable, it has best be prepared!"

Xenon only chuckled as he stepped alongside the horned Yonko "Change… it's what we're all looking forward to."

"It has been 4 years since you've appear in front of me, hasn't it?" Kaido rumbled.

"4 years and 3 days, to be exact."

"To this day, I still do not know your motives. You appeared from the sky, we wounded each other, and although you carry out my plans, I know you plot something else."

"The moment I've been waiting for has yet to happen, only that it is swift approaching." Xenon responded back "The war you so desperately seek, I am hoping that will be the catalyst."

"For as long as you do not forget your place…" Kaido sneered.

"I have no benefit otherwise," Xenon smirked under his face cover "For you and I seek the same thing."

Kaido huffed before turning his direction outwards, the two gazed across the sea towards the mainland of Wano. Compared to the storms of Onigashima, the rest of the island seemed rather serene. It almost made you forget that it was ruled by a tyrant.

"I wonder how our friend is doing. He seems quiet these days, almost like he's expecting something." Xenon mused.

"Worororo! Orochi is too busy worrying about that prophecy of his; the former swordsmen of the Kozuki Family travelling through time and space to dispose of him. It's gotten the midget shaken up!" Kaido laughed.

"I'm surprised you haven't disposed of that weak willed fool yet yourself." Xenon scoffed "Wano's resources are precious and viable, it would be in our favor for us to take over."

"Heh, that would be no challenge. Besides, Orochi has his uses to us. So as long as he continues providing weapons, he is far more useful alive than dead. Everything there belongs to us anyway."

"You are right about one thing, Kaido-sama," Xenon noted "Change is coming, the noise across the sea sound the calling of new powers to rise up. I'm sure you know the news of Enies Lobby by now."

"I care little for the problems of the World Government." Kaido scoffed "And if a few pirates think they're at the top of the world for raiding it, then they'll be in for a brutal wakeup call."

The King of Beasts grinned savagely.

"For when my War wracks the world with chaos, only those with strength will see the next day!"

Xenon only chuckled as he saw the Yonko's triumphant laughter. There was one thing about their partnership: Kaido is dedicated to his goal.

"Plunging the entire world into a cataclysmic war, only you could be crazy enough to think of something like that." Xenon mused "Regardless, if it's to be certain, your war could lead this world closer to how I envisioned it. You certain keep things interesting, Kaido-sama."

Unknown location:

Out at sea, the usual animals you find would be fish, alongside the occasional whale or sea beast. A butterfly, however, would not be something one would encounter this far out in the ocean.

Yet that was what it was, fluttering through the wind, the little insect seemed unaffected by the breeze. Its ethereal wings seem to be almost transparent.

Then it landed in the palm of a hand, the owner stared at it briefly before the butterfly vanished into specks of light; an illusion created by the one who held it just then.

The figure, who wore a hood that obscuring their figure, stayed silent. Then their eyes closed. It was a small boat they were on, with only 3 other people.

"The winds of change are beginning to pick up once again." The person spoke, their voice light and feminine "Secrets of Ages past being brought to light once more, their presence foretell the coming of a New Age."

"What you sense, mistress?" one of the people, a young girl asked.

"The gathering of Powers, the clash of Strength." the woman responded "Mortal souls warring below the canopy of Giants."

The other two people, two more young ladies, looked to the cloaked woman with uncertainty.

"Mistress, is it time then?"

The cloaked woman said nothing for a while, before her eyes opened. Iridescent and bright, her eyes beheld knowledge yet to be shared with the world.

"It is time to return home, time to complete what we've set out to do." she was about to get up, before she saw the final girl, a young lady wearing a pink hat and pigtails.

"Do not be concerned, my child." The woman's voice was soothing yet captivating "I will set about my promise to rescue your comrades first. Believe me, the world will not be finished with Sir Crocodile just yet."

"I…I do not doubt that you will!" the girl stammered.

The woman smiled lightly as she finally rose up, taking her hood off. Under the sun, her middle aged features still showed experience and grace, though that was overshadowed by her hair, seemingly shimmering with the colors of the rainbow. Looking out to see, her eyes looked towards one particular place.

"What will be foretold by the ancient legends are seemingly coming to light sooner than we expected." She mumbled "Will you recognize that now, my brother?"

A/N: This mega chapter, possibly the biggest yet, is more or less just a filler. Think of it as an intermission. It does however, introduce a few more characters that will become prominent later in the story. This chapter is for that, and to showcase some existing characters to let you all know that, yes, they do still exist, as well as to show how the world reacted to the events of Enies Lobby. It also drop some crucial information about where the story will be going later, and foreshadows a few future events. All the new OCs introduced in this chapter are Kaiju-Zoan users, go and have a guess on who their respective monsters might be, I dropped some hints while writing them (Some a bit too obvious haha). Overall, it's really just so I have an excuse to put in some of the characters I have planned for future arcs in and tease you all a little with them.

G: Because who knows when we'll get there for real?

Quiet you!

Other than that, the next chapter will begin Thriller Bark for real. Expect that in a couple of weeks. It's a pretty crazy time right now, some of our neighbors down south have been fighting against injustice for almost 2 weeks. Even though I live in Canada the issue of police brutality and racial profiling are still very relevant here so this one goes out for everyone who stand up to injustice.

G: Black Lives Matter you know what the fuck it is.

You know it. Overall, this is a mentally draining time. I hope you all can find some joy in this chapter. Other than that I don't have much else to say. I hope everyone is doing well.

Responses to Reviews:

To Chance Green G. King:

Yup, Bohemian Rhapsody was what I was going for there. It might be breaking immersion, but I thought it was funny.

G: It wasn't.

Shut up, you like the song.

To 64thVanSull:

As I've mentioned a few times, because the final battle had a bunch of Marines witnessing a battle between Kaiju and their respective leaders, the bounties have been increased because the World Government finally recognizes that the Straw Hats are associated with a Kaiju. It's as simple as that.

To Story Artist:

Kid's bounty post timeskip will be different as well! And not to mention he may be more familiar with Kaiju-Zoans more than you'd think!

To SolanaLeonhart:

I'm glad you like the color spreads. I'll do more of them every arc.

To ideamaster117:

Yeah, the study will be more furnished and have more descriptions in it in the coming chapters.

To PIZZASAURUS REX:

Shredder may be the inspiration of a character you saw in this chapter!

To Dat Guy:

Yeah, I just wanted to show a few tender moments between the two. Rest assured, their relationship won't be always like that. For the most part, Robin still just calls Gian by his name. Gian would be more prone to nicknames, but for the most part he's most comfortable doing the same.

To KaijuEmperor:

Thriller Bark's Kaiju isn't quite what you think it would be, but I'm sure you'd understand it when you see it!

To Guest:

The Supernovas will more or less hear about him, but they won't necessarily know about the Kaiju-Zoan just yet. At this point, Kaiju-Zoans aren't public knowledge, but that will change soon.

To Matt:

As per usual, all fillers and movies that I haven't listed before will be excluded. The most they'll get is a flashback dedicated to them or a Monster's Log journal.

To supermechaforce8:

I mean, Nami does need a power up…

But yeah, sorry about this. I did think about pet ideas originally, but with how this story is going I just don't think it'll fit.

G: I have too many favorite animals anyway.

To The Question:

Well, if you've noticed in the final battle on Enies Lobby, you'd find that Gian's done something rather familiar ;)

To classicUSmonster:

You will find him getting his first impression of Brook next chapter!

To Art Master 7:

Well there we go, this is an official call for artists. I'm willing to commission anyone to draw Gian or any of the characters you like in this story!

G: dude you're broke.

Not really, a few dollars for a drawing can't hurt, can it?

To Rulersofearth4vr:

Don't we all?

And I'm planning some of those you've listed, but not all of them. It's once again, a matter of how it could be incorporated.

G: Song of the century

To Kaiju Avenger:

The journals will be something that will get revisited from time to time. Meanwhile, Kid and Law's bounty won't be changing yet, but there will be changes after their initial encounter.

To Romancer:

Oh believe me, he's planning to. He's also discovering more about Kaiju-Zoan's himself, being subjected to having one as well. His reasons for his actions will be explored later.

To nicorobinlove35:

Being a part of Roger's crew, Rayleigh will for sure be revealing something.

G: See, some people ship us.

You're the main pairing…

To SMASH UP:

Well, I probably should've been more evident. But yes, Atom Splitter's main feature is that it has Seastone laced into its blade. Gian has used that to his advantage a few times, but most of the times it's just relegated to beating the stuffing out of people.

You can expect more interactions with Franky in the coming chapters.

To Catchphrase YOHO:

Now ain't that a trailer idea.

G: Damn straight.

To Kombat Instinct:

I mean, some of them more or less have experience with the topic.

To Te Fiti 3:

The World Government is great at covering things up, they won't let this slide.

And for the bounty changes, a review above explained why.

To MarauderPrime:

I know.

G: so emotional.

To Music Master:

I actually need to see that movie.

G: It has parts of author's home country in it so he should like it.

To appreciatetor:

G: We got another fan.

Well thank you for that.

To BBQbaBBQ:

I'll explain this right now, when I started writing the story, I hadn't planned out what I wanted to do with Kaiju-Zoans yet. Back then Gian had minimal effects on the story, not a whole lot of impact, and the story followed canon too much. Granted it was still East Blue and before any major events, but my idea of Kaiju-Zoans went a bit different. For the record, the real reason Kaiju-Zoans are so important is not because of rarity, but because the World Government is deliberately censoring any information on the subject, for reasons yet unknown. Obviously a few people that were around in Roger's time know more about them, as do some government individuals, but information on them is scarce and not well validated for the most part. Most of the world don't know the truth about them, and seeing the powers will just think it's any regular old Devil Fruit.

So just disregard that earlier part. The general story has shifted a lot. I'd like to change it a bit more, but it might be a bit too late for that. I could only chalk it up to a mistake I've made early on.

And that's it. We'll see you for the next chapter!

Don't just leave a review, educate yourself on the issues going on right now!

G: It's important!
