The past few days had been horrible…. between having to take care of Zoey and trying to figure out exactly how to hire a private tutor she had had no time for rest and now, to her distress, she was getting ready to ask king for help. It was hard being that close to someone that you knew might turn out to be the most important person in your world and being afraid to rely on them. Lately, though, he had been trying to get her to open up more at every opportunity and it seemed as though his tactics were somehow working. In there fights against their newest enemy, Werewolves, she had found herself becoming increasingly worried for Hannibal's well-being, and on a few occasions had ended up getting in trouble and living only because Hannibal had saved her. She didn't know what to do! Now was not the time to think about that, though. She had to get Hannibal to take care of Zoey for a few days while she tried to rest.
Abby: Hannibal could I talk to you for a few minutes?
Hannibal: sure…. come on in.
Abby: Hannibal can you take care of Zoey for a few days. I know that's a lot to ask you to do by yourself, but I have been walking on a thin strand lately and I need a few days vacation to think and sort some things out before it breaks.
Hannibal: Whoa. Slow down there, cowgirl. I'll be glad to watch the little monster its no problem at all. And I agree you need to rest for a few days and get your strength and head together.
Abby: Thanks Hannibal. You're the best.
Abby got up to leave and get started on her packing. She got about halfway through the door when a voice stopped her.
Hannibal: You know I'll do anything to help you if you ever need me don't you?
She looked back at him and was surprised when she found sheer adoration shining through his eyes. She knew then that after her vacation everything between her and Hannibal would change. She decided that it was for the best, though.
Abby: Yeah, I know. Thanks for reminding me, though.
And with those final words Abby left to start her vacation.
