Armed Vanguards © vs. Connor McLeod & Max Rockantasky - Heart Tag Team Championship

The Armed Vanguards make their very first defense of the Heart Tag Team Championships. They got everything going for them. They are the champions, they are a cohesive unit, and they are well rested. Their challengers got their opportunity just hours before the show went live on pay-per-view. They are a ad-hoc team, just there second time teaming together. But for all the cons going against them, both Connor & Max are hard hitters and have proven thus far tonight they can hang on when it counts.

At the opening bell, Connor & Max prove they are far from intimidated at the steep task ahead. They face off nose-to-nose with the champions. Frank & Connor both cracking smiles while Max & Mason reveal to be the stoic ones of their respective sides. There's a feeling out process as both push back and forth, jockeying for position. Connor is the first to exchange loud shots with chops. Frank bonks Connor with palms. Both seem to relish in the pain from the first few shots. A Running Big Boot to stop a clothesline from Connor ends play time, however.

The whole fight is a comparatively short but flashy struggle. Max & Connor are clearly future heavy hitters in Heart & Soul. There are a handful of circumstances one of the other begins to rattle Frank's lights. But Mason always was the stealthy one to swoop in and make saves. Maybe if the Highlander & Road Warrior had more developed in-ring cohesion, they could keep Mason at bay. That tonight was not the case. Max's knee was targeted and kept him grounded for the final actions. Connor was taken down with the X-Ray. Frank Woods celebrates with a bit of a beer bash with front row spectators.

Selena Richardson vs. Sarah Ortiz vs. Leslie Haines vs. Lucia Siycron – Fatal Four Way – Soul Of Wrestling Championship

Four women are scheduled to take to the ring, but only one will walk away with the Soul Of Wrestling Championship. Only one will be able to go down in the record books as the FIRST Soul Champion. It has been a match nearly a year in the making. From Headlong to now, there have been several multi person contests to decide who'd be the lucky quartet to collide for the gold at the year-end show. There prize sat propped up and displayed on the time keeper's table. A eye-catching spotless white strap with gold buttons on the end. The gold center plate a swirling cyclone of blue & white gems. A blank name plate awaiting the first champion to be etched in.

The battle to determine the best started before the bell even ring. Each lady was looking to try and one up the other with their entrance. Leslie Haines was the first to make a impression, walking out with eyes concealed in large almost gawky sunglasses. Of course wearing a fur coat whose collar may have just been a bit too big for her. But nobody would dare mention it, as she was constantly guarded by her most trusted ally; Bruce Hogan. The crowd bood except those near the Heiress's bodyguard. She walked to the ring in high heels. What, was she going to actually wrestling in high heels? Fear not, Hogan was bringing a shoebox to the ring. Sitting on the apron, she made everyone watch as she carefully pulled the high heels off and unboxed to black & white pair of custom Air Jordans. The costly footwear of choice for tonight's fight.

But fear not, the stuffiness of the atmosphere was about to be dispersed by cheers. Standing On The Rooftop, Screaming Her Heart Out Is Sarah Ortiz, The Female Enigma. She walks onto the stage, looking in awe with childlike wonder at the scale of the crowd. But she's not just here to gawk, her rush to the ring shoes her drive to win tonight. Like always, she's adorned in a luchadora mask. But noticeably the colors contrast, each eyehole seems out of place to the next. One side has a fancy floral design the other likes. It's a special mask, a had stitch combination of past masks from not only her career but the Ortiz family as a whole. Just showing how important being the first Soul Champion will mean to her and the Ortiz household at large.

The fun times for Sarah are abruptly cut, as the calling of "SHE'S A KILLER QUEEN" echoes through the Pro-Bending Arena. The arena is bathed in soft red that pulses to the beat of the drum for 5SOS's rendition of the Queen classic. The Sophisticated Beauty skirt up the ramp and onto the stage as one unit. They've always been synonymous/stuck with their attractiveness and from time to time have indulged in the glamours of being champions of this sport. But after the stunning upset Sweet Diva left Montreal's Finest run away with on the pre-show, and the constant reminder that their leader's last and only world title reign lasted a mere day, they could not find joy in just their beauty. They were all in ring gear, concealed by matching running jackets embroidered with their corresponding name on the breast pocket, the back laced with their trio's name in cursive. Selena doesn't have a arrogant smile. Where Sarah's eyes were filled with optimistic determination, Selena's were filled with the grit to do anything to walk out of the building with the championship. In the ring now, Selena unzips and tears off the runners jacket. The Auburn Beauty begins berating both women in the ring. Something along the lines of claiming Leslie stole her looks, and that Sarah doesn't deserve to even be here tonight. A eyeroll that is justified from Sarah, who merely replies "I Thought Pyrrha Pulled The Queen?"

Her ranting is silenced when a hot white ball of fire STREAKS ACROSS THE HEADS OF EVERYONE IN THE BUILDING! It Crashes With A Terrific Explosion Right On Top The Stage, All The Lighting In The Venue Is Killed! A hush falls over both the commentators & fans, unsure of what just happened. The only light in the building are blue flames that are smoldering out on the stage where the impact was. But it becomes apparent that all of this is part of the entrance of the fourth and final participant. As the flames snuff out, sitting in the smoke cross-legged is Lucia Siycron. Her face stern, partially concealed by the hood of her navy blue jumper. She just sits, staring calculatingly toward the other three contestants all the way down in the ring…

Lights Out…

Lights ON, Lucia Is Now Standing IN The Middle Of The Ring! Leslie is freaked out, jumping through the ropes and spilling into the protective arms of her body guard who doesn't flinch. Selena flinches but remains in place, not wanting to show fear. Sarah has none, nodding with a smirk as if to say "well played". Both her and Lucia have a well known rivalry from NCW days. Sarah knows Lucia best in the ring. But Leslie make have just realized she was the fish out of water in this Fatal Four Way.

Selena started to rant at the mouth again, verbally trying to keep herself from being psyched out by the chilling presence of the Outer Space Seductress. But is silenced at the sound of the bell. Not by Lucia, but by a powerful Running High Kick from Sarah. The Female Enigma had kept quiet through the berating at the press conference, giving her response in one swift salvo that drops the Auburn Beauty. Selena is pulled out of the ring by her entourage, leaving the crowd salivating the prospect of the two old rivals remaining locking horns. They get what they wanted, as Lucia & Sarah begin to unload on one another. Both try whipping their opponent out of the ring, only to be caught with rebounds.

The chain wrestling is torn apart by Leslie dipping into the match. She sees a opportunity and tramples Lucia down to the mat. That nightmare put to rest, Leslie begins working away at Sarah. Selena joins in, both double teaming on the Female Enigma with various chops. But Sarah manages to duck a punch that catches Selena in the jaw. Leslie seems sorry, Selena glares…BOTH turn around and try punching the other. Their fists collide, no damage to the head. But Leslie manages to be the one to put Selena on her shoulders for a poor pin attempt.

Leslie throws Selena up on top of the turnbuckle, looking for a super-plex. But Selena countering with a headbutt & Lucia snaking underneath leads to a spinning powerbomb that puts Leslie down. Lucia hurries for a pin, but its broken up by Selena jumping off the top rope with a leg drop. Now its Selena & Lucia going at it, Selena begins stomping Lucia into the corner, acting like she's a mudhole. The characteristic disrespect of Selena shown by scraping her boot several times on the rope, acting like there's mud clinging on after who she just pummeled upon. Sarah rises up behind Selena, putting her in a full nelson. Selena blocks whatever Sarah was planning, but pushing her into the ropes was the worst thing she could have done. She gets flattened to the mat by a catapulting frog splash over the top rope back into the ring. But Leslie & Lucia both dart in, ensuring the pin is in vain.

Your getting a feel for how this chaotic championship contest played out. All four wrestlers kept within close range of one another, meaning each women was acting on impulse rather than making up strategy. Sarah was continually the target of beat downs by both spoiled girls. Lucia would scare both them off. Leslie & Selena would in fight, Sarah would take advantage. At a point, it appeared that Lucia had preserved through it all. She had pummeled Sarah enough in the skull to send her tumbling from the top rope to the floor. Then a Black Hole Slam had put Selena down for the count But Sweet Diva Jumped In To Make The Save! They were NOT going to let their faction go 0-2 tonight. They began the hammer away at Lucia, who tried desperately to keep the fist-o-cuffs at bay. But Leslie ran in and put down the Outer Space Seductress with a Curb Stomp. Leslie wanted to go right there for the pin, but Sweet Diva jump in front and waving their hands. How Many Times Had Lucia Gotten Back Up Tonight? A simple pin wasn't going to kill the unkillable. Leslie paused….then, Sweet Diva held Lucia by the arms as Bruce tossed Leslie the ring bell from outside. Lucia, defenseless, could do nothing to stop LESLIE CLOCKING HER IN THE SKULL! Bruce then handed Leslie the hammer for the bell, threatening to hit Lucia with it for extra insurance….BUT LESLIE INSTEAD HIT SAKURA IN THE HEAD! DDT'd ELENA ON THE RING BELL! She Killed THREE BIRDS With One Stone, As It Were! Leslie went for the cover on Lucia…

But Selena, Who'd Been Seemingly Out Cold On The Outside, Grabbed Her Leg! The Crowd Popped. Not out of love but out of spite toward Leslie. The Heiress had used Sweet Diva, then had whacked them. Leslie was going to pay for the infraction. Selena pulls Leslie out to the floor. Why the floor? To Use The Stiff Ground Of The Arena Floor To Aid In The Devastation Of A Beauty Buster! Leslie is as frozen as Sarah now. Selena is the only one standing tall…though she now sees Bruce Hogan slowly lumbering around the ring toward her. He's pissed, knowing Leslie is in a bad way. Leslie's father finds out that she got hurt under Bruce's watch….oooh, the repercussions there will be. Selena realizes the predicament she's in, starting to back up knowing that a Mob hired man didn't care about moral rules like 'don't hit ladies."…

Sarah Was BACK UP! She Stood Back Upon The Southeastern Turnbuckle! SHE Surveyed The Scene And Plummeted Down Upon Bruce With An Angelic Splash! Sarah Had Saved Selena! All Interference Was Now Out Of The Equation!

And how is Sarah thanked for this rescue?...

With A Hands-SWERVE! Selena Puts Sarah Down With Aburned Right On The Floor! The Crowd Boos, Selena's Eyes Refilled With That 'Do Anything' Determination. Sarah Is Rolled Into The Ring, Tries Reaching For That Bell Hammer. But Selena Stomps At The Hand, Pulls Up Sarah…

AUBURNED RIGHT ON THE RING BELL!

Selena Wins! Selena Is Victorious! Selena Achieved Glory On Her Terms And Nobody Else's! The crowd boo'd, frustrated how the Most Sophisticated Lady In Wrestling showed no thanks for the save Sarah made. Sarah didn't have to save her from Leslie's henchman. Sarah did it to make sure this was a fair match…..but this was a Fatal Four Way. Was this ever going to be a honest woman-to-woman contest?

Selena Richardson is now officially a two-time world champion. The first time, she hoped to lead a dying league in a new direction. This time, she will ignite a new flame and engrave the wilderness of this sport to her soul's desire. Selena Richardson is the First EVER Soul Of Wrestling Champion!

I apologize if the change of format disappoints anyone. But I wish to begin moving on from Innuendo as soon as possible, so we may finally begin delving into the meats and potatoes of Heart & Soul. Expect the Heart Championship to be recapped in a similar way.
