Adam Price © vs. Johnny Alvarez – Heart Of Wrestling Championship

"The experience gap is two-to-one in Johnny's favor. But Adam has main evented two of the last three pay-per-views, both matches he won. He persevered through 3 other men in one night to be crowned our first Heart Of Wrestling World Champion. But his first world title has corrupted this young man's mind into thinking he's superior to everyone else alive." Bennett describes the conflict of the main event.

Both the Spoiled Fighter & The Top Bill stare across from opposing corners at the opening bell. Johnny is full of confidence, Adam is full of grit. Johnny is enjoying what he earned, a slot in the spotlights of Heart & Soul's Year 1 marquee show. Adam is visibly flustered that the attention has, once again, been pulled away from him. His frustrations are apparent when he charges into Johnny, who holds his ground with a collar-elbow tie up. Johnny deflects multiple early advances by Adam. Adam manages to get off a chop in the early going, but Johnny remembers and catches a second one a few moments later. Adam manages to briefly daze his challenger with a savate kick, but whatever he attempts to hit with a run gets destroyed by haymakers from Johnny. Just before "HERE'S JOHNNY", however, Adam quickly flees to the outside. He's psyched out, the champion feels like a fish out of water. He'll use ever last second of Heart & Soul's twenty count to conjure up a better ploy.

Johnny feels he can keep going with the showboating, and while the crowd loves it all, it allows Adam to begin targeting the Spoiled Fighter's hands. He begins continually trying to latch onto a arm and twist over the wrist. Even being thrown down to the mat, he keeps holding on with all he has. Its initially a annoyance for Johnny, but soon he's noticeably messing with his own fingers whenever he got time to breath. But when Adam ducks as lariat, he drops the subtlety. He's trying to dismember both of Johnny's hands so he can't punch out The Top Bill's lights. Taken down by a arm drag where Adam begins prying and twisting the fingers individually! Its gruesome to see on camera, but one cannot deny its effective.

Both challenger & champion even the odds with opposing roll up attempts that go nowhere. Adam wants to transition away from working the hand to battering in skull. Clearly wanting to set up for Pay The Price. Johnny tries to keep his head as far away from Adam's clutches as he can, countering out of a full nelson and tossing Adam clear across the ring with a Exploder Suplex. But Johnny is took quick to capitalize, charging into the corner and being FLAPJACKED jaw first into the top of the turnbuckle. In come Adam's synonymous DDTs that aim to daze the Spoiled Fighter until he's seeing twos and threes. He tries for not his piledriver but rather the Snap Double Underhook DDT, the Paycheck. But Johnny begins to sprint. Ramming Adam back first into the buckle. They both fight up to the top of the corner they've found themselves in, Adam looking for a superplex…

Johnny Blocks, Valiantly Staying Alive Way Up Top…

And Plunging Adam's Head From The Top To The Mat With A Swinging Fisherman Superplex!

Both men are staggered by the fall. Johnny eventually rolls Adam's legs up like accordion to keep his shoulders down but it's not enough to secure the championship. Johnny tries to soften up Adam with punches but he's got to be careful how they land, so not as to harm is already mangled hands. It's this inability to really knock out Adam's lights that give The Top Bill the edge going forward.

Johnny wants to put Adam down with the Death Magnetic, his patented Death Valley, but Adam gets a grip and bends Johnny's wrists in a funky angle. Even while being whipped onto his back, he holds on to the wrist. Johnny breaks free, but favors the wounded hand heavily. Trying to get back into the action, Adam barrels his knee through the side of Johnny's skull. Then quickly coming back to one-hand bulldog the Spoiled Fighter's grill into the mat.

Adam's got Johnny on his shoulders, he makes him Pay The Price…

But The Count Stops When Johnny's Leg Reaches The Ropes! The Crowd Is Enthralled, Adam Questions It All!

People don't just kick out of Pay The Price, and Adam won't even fathom he could misjudge where he was in the ring. It couldn't be his mistake, it had to be the referees he thought. One can predict where this is leading. The arguing allows for Johnny to recover just enough and get off one wild haymaker. Adam staggers on his feet, but doesn't keel to the mat. Johnny clutches his fist in pain, but is smiling. He senses blood in the water. The championship is within reach. He tackles Adam down to the mat, unable to deliver another punch. He locks in a leg under each of his own arms…

...Lifting And Folding Up Adam With A Powerbomb…

STF! STF! STF!

The crowd explodes, seeing the drive in Johnny's eyes as he sinches in the hold. For a few terrifying moments in Adam-land, it appears the championship will slip away with a tap out…

But Adam Works His Finger Between Johnny's, Wrenching Down On Those Already Crimped Digits! Johnny doesn't want to, but his hands slip apart on impulse.

Adam claws his way back up to his feet, quickly stomping on Johnny's hand. Something he begins doing so on a frantic loop. Adam is certain taking away the fists will end Johnny's journey for gold. But that tunnel vision blinds him to other avenues the Spoiled Fighter can main him. When Adam tries lifting up his prey but Johnny fastened his arms around the torso. A tight bear hug! Sure, hands are injured by there's still so much raw power stored away in Johnny's arms. He'll squeeze his way to the championship.

Adam shoved himself free with his boot, ironically trying to batter down Johnny with heavy haymakers. But Johnny ducks the last two, and takes Adam off his feet with a leg sweep from the canvas. He got Adam in his grasp, Knockout Package Piledriver...

But Johnny, foggy from the blows to his head all night, hesitated to cover. When he does, he covers nothing but canvas as Adam has rolled to the floor! Johnny has to painstakingly go and retrieve the champion in order to walk away and satisfy the crowd. But in that moment he had stepped into a bottomless pit. He was shoved head first into the ring post, before having his skull driving in the canvas with the Paycheck. Johnny's lights are out, but now the problem that had plagued the challenger falls upon the champion. Precious seconds are lost rolling Johnny back into the ring. Adam goes for the pin…

But the Spoiled Fighter keeps a spark of hope burning, kicking out!

It comes down to a slapping contest, with both adversaries leaning in on the others forehead for support. Adam hits a backhand chop, Johnny responds to a resounding pop. But again, the twinged palms come into play once more. Adam throws a fist, that may or may not have concealed a thumb to the eye. A blinded Johnny is tripped up, falling over Adam's shoulder…

The air at last is exhausted from the held lungs of the 20,000 fans throughout the Pro-Bending Arena. After a fierce main event, the Top Bill remains in custody of the Heart of Wrestling World Champion. Not a result many seemed to have been hoping for, but one cannot deny Adam scratched and clawed and thumb poked his way past expectations to keep the world title within his clutches. But before the show reached its limit on pre-paid air time, Adam takes to a microphone. He won't let Johnny leave the ring just get. The Spoiled Fighter is still prone, a trainer was tending to check to see how badly he'd received wounds to the head. Adam chases the trainer off, chases anyone that's not a world champion out of his squared circle. With a foot on Johnny's chest, he speaks to the parting crowd.
