Chapter 25: Legend of Everfree

Hey everyone I'm finally back with the movie you've all been waiting for. I am so sorry about the wait, but it took forever to nail everything and get it right. I hope you like what I have planned. It was early in the morning at Twilight's place and she was sound asleep in her bed Spike and Volts were sleeping and the end of it.

"No, it can't be. It isn't true." Twilight said in her sleep when they heard a knock at the door.

"Um Twilight." Fluttershy said softly.

"Twilight wake up!" Sonata said.

"The bus for Camp Everfree leaves in 10 minutes!" Rainbow said waking her up.

"Oh no no no! I can't believe I overslept!" Twilight said jumping out of bed as Spike and Volts opened the door to reveal the Rainbooms all wearing Camp Everfree shirts and shorts while Luke was the only one with his slug backpack and wrist blasters on.

"Me neither." Sunset said.

"You're usually the earliest out of all of us." Luke said.

"I know." Twilight said packing her bag.

"Don't you have a super annoying alarm clock that goes EHH EHH EHH?" Pinkie Pie asks mimicking the beeps.

Looking around Sonata lifts up Twilight's pillow to reveal her beeping alarm clock.

"Here it is." Sonata said turning it off.

"It's okay we'll help you pack." Sunset said grabbing a suitcase and they all started throwing things in.

As Luke put her blaster inside, he noticed Rarity holding a dress.

"Uh you really think she's gonna need that?" Luke asks.

"We're gonna be in the woods." Applejack reminds.

"If we were going to the moon, I'd insist she pack an evening gown. One never knows, darling." Rarity said as Twilight grabbed her camp shirt.

"Let me just get changed." Twilight said walking to her mirror when Midnight Sparkle appeared causing everyone to gasp.

"Midnight Sparkle?!" They all said in shock.

"How is this possible? Sunset Shimmer helped me defeat you in the Friendship Games." Twilight said.

"You and your friends can never truly defeat me." Midnight Sparkle laughs as she destroys the room around them and makes everyone but Twilight disappear. "Midnight Sparkle is a part of you. I'll always be there waiting in the darkest shadows of your mind. I'll be back Twilight and this time I won't stop until I have ALL the magic!"

"No! STOP!" Twilight screams as she wakes up revealing they were all on the bus to Camp Everfree.

"Twilight, wake up." Spike said.

"We can't stop, silly. We're not there yet." Pinkie said.

"Hey are you okay?" Sunset asks.

"Bad dream?" Luke asks.

"Uh yeah just a bad dream." Twilight said nervously.

"We are gonna have so much fun. We're gonna roast marshmallows and eat marshmallows and sleep on marshmallow pillows!" Pinkie said excited.

"That's a lot of marshmallows." Sonata said.

"Yeah probably not gonna do all that." Rainbow said.

"Maybe you're not." Pinkie said holding a bag of marshmallows that was the size of a pillow.

"Attention students!" Celestia said getting everyone's attention as they looked to the front where she and Luna were sitting. "We're almost there but before we arrive, we just wanted to say how proud we are of you for raising enough money to go on this class trip."

"When we were your age, we made some of our favorite memories in these woods and we're sure you will too." Luna said.

"Now who's excited for Camp Everfree?" Celestia asks as everyone cheered.

In Luke's backpack, Burpy and all his slugs cheered as well.

Leaning back in his seat, Luke paused thinking about what his grandpa said about Camp Everfree for Shanes.

Looking out the window, Luke saw they were approaching the camp.

'Every Shane has found their soulmate at this camp…I wonder how I'll find mine?' Luke thought as the bus pulled up at the front and they walked off.

"Isn't Camp Everfree beautiful? I can't wait until we have our first nature walk." Fluttershy said.

"I definitely want to go on one of those." Spike said.

"You want to see all the adorable woodland creatures too?" Fluttershy asks.

"Yeah specifically squirrels. More specifically so I can chase them." Spike barks happily.

"I'm just looking forward to roughing it. Build my own shelter, forage for food." Applejack said.

"You know they provide us with tents and food, right?" Rainbow reminds.

"I know, still gonna forage though." Applejack said.

"I'm just looking for some R&R. The past year has been too much for my taste." Rarity said.

"I'll say we've fought evil monsters from a world beneath our feet, three evil sirens who tried to hypnotize all of us with their singing, an incredibly competitive rival school, a gang of thieving slug slingers, an evil slug who took control of one of us and two demon friends." Pinkie said before looking to Sunset, Sonata, Twilight and Luke. "Uh no offense."

"None taken." Sunset smiles.

"Don't worry you'll get used to it." Sonata smiles.

"Canterlot High has really become a magnet for trouble." Applejack said.

"Could be nice to have a break from it all." Luke said as Flash walked over with Twilight's bag.

"Here you go Twilight." Flash said.

"Thanks, it's Flash, right?" She asks.

"Yup that's me and you're you and we don't know each other that well. I uh guess I'll see you." Flash said walking away.

"What was that?" Twilight asks.

"You know that other Twilight who looks just like you but is actually a pony princess?" Sunset asks.

"Uh yeah." Twilight nods.

"Flash kinda had a thing for her." Sunset said.

"Oh." Twilight realized when they suddenly heard the speakers turn on.

"Hey everyone, if you could start heading to the courtyard that would be rad. It's time to start the best week of camp ever!" A voice said.

Walking to the courtyard, they saw two people under a gazebo. One was a girl with long hair with daisies in it and a necklace of gems around her neck and one was a guy with green hair.

"Hi everyone, welcome to Camp Everfree. I'm Gloriosa Daisy your camp director. Think of me as your friendly camp and nature guide. And this is my brother Timber Spruce." She said.

"Think of me as that awesome guy who should always be invited to fun things." Timber said.

"We aim to please so before we hand out our tent assignments, we'd like to hear from all of you. You're free to do whatever you want here." Gloriosa said.

"Except hike near the rock quarry. That's off limits." Timber said.

"But anything else is available." Gloriosa said.

"Rock climbing!" Rainbow said.

"Done." Gloriosa said.

"Archery!" Rainbow said again.

"Of course." Gloriosa said.

"Tetherball!" Rainbow said.

"Naturally." Gloriosa said as Luke puts Rainbow's hand down before she could say anything else.

"Maybe let someone else have a turn." Luke suggests.

"Arts and crafts." Bulk Biceps said as he got some weird looks. "My mom needs new potholders."

"I'll supply the looms." Gloriosa said.

"Cookie decorating." Pinkie said.

"Ooh I do make a mean sugar cookie." Gloriosa said.

"Taco night." Sonata said.

"With a topping bar." Gloriosa said.

"Early morning nature walks." Fluttershy said.

"I'll provide the walking sticks." Gloriosa said.

"Ooh a fashion show where I design the most fabulous camp looks in an outdoor setting." Rarity said excited.

"A camp tradition." Gloriosa said.

"We have literally never done that." Timber whispers.

"I'll be taking requests the rest of the time you're here so if there's anything you'd like to do just ask." Gloriosa said as Timber looked around and noticed Luke causing his eyes to narrow.

"Uh is that Timber guy looking at you?" Sunset whispers.

"Yeah but why?" Luke asks.

"What about the camp gift? That was my favorite Camp Everfree tradition." Celestia said.

"The Camp Gift. Of course." Gloriosa said.

"Really?" Timber asks.

"Yes really." Gloriosa whispers.

"Well I just thought—"

"Then you thought wrong." Gloriosa said.

"Anyone else seeing a little tension between Gloriosa and her brother?" Sunset asks.

"Yeah." Luke and Burpy cringed.

"Kinda." Pinkie cringed.

"Kinda reminds me of how Adagio would act around me." Sonata cringed.

"Every year, campers work together to create something useful. A gift for future campers. Working toward this common goal is key to forming the strong bonds that will last well beyond your time at camp. Which is why it's so important. This gazebo was a gift from previous campers as well as the totem pole and the sundial." Gloriosa explains.

"The sundial was our year's gift." Celestia said.

"Ahem. Even though some people thought it was a little impractical since a sundial can't be used at night." Luna said.

"You all seem like an interesting group so I'm sure you'll think of something creative to leave behind." Gloriosa said.

"Wait a minute." Timber jumps down and walks up to Luke. "I've seen you somewhere before."

"You have?" Luke asks confused when Timber noticed his logo and smiles.

"No way, you're a Shane." Timber said getting Gloriosa's attention.

"A Shane? Here?" She asks.

"You know my family?" Luke asks surprised.

"Are you kidding? Come with you. You guys are gonna want to see this." Timber said.

"Ooh another camp tradition." Gloriosa smiles.

"Camp tradition?" Sunset asks but Luke just shrugs.

As they all walk into the mess hall, Luke gasps seeing a picture of Eli and Trixie together in one picture holding a purple flower and next to them were dozens of other pictures of Shanes with their loved ones all holding the purple flower some were so old the pictures were black and white.

"Luke, is that your mom and dad?" Twilight asks.

"It is and there's my grandpa and grandma." Luke points to Will and April together. "Whoa even my Great Great Uncle Jimmo Shane is up there."

"Your grandpa wasn't kidding. Your family really has been coming here for generations." Rainbow said.

"And every single one of them has found their soulmate?" Luke asks.

"That's right, and it all starts when you find this." Gloriosa said pointing to the purple flower in each of the pictures.

"Ooh pretty flower." Pinkie said.

"What kind of flower is that?" Fluttershy asks.

"We call them Destiny Roses." Timber smiles.

"Because every time a Shane gives the flower to someone else, they become a part of each other's lives forever." Gloriosa said.

"Every time?" Applejack asks.

"Oh yeah." Timber said.

"So for all you girls out there. One of you is in for a week you'll never forget." Gloriosa said causing the Rainbooms to pause.

"So uh where does Luke get that flower?" Sunset asks interested.

"Sorry but we don't know. Shanes are the only ones who can find those flowers." Timber said.

"But hopefully you'll be able to find yours." Gloriosa said patting Luke's shoulder.

"Great." Luke gulps.

Sunset looks to the wall and instantly imagines Luke giving her that flower causing her to sigh. Little did she know quite a few others were thinking the same thing.

"Come on everyone, let's go outside and I'll get you sorted into your tents." Timber said as they walked out to see a car pull up and Filthy Rich stepped out.

"Filthy Rich, what a surprise." Gloriosa walks over before moving in close. "What are you doing? The camp week has just started." She whispers.

"Just taking in the scenery Gloriosa Daisy. It's so…relaxing." He smirks.

"Well you can look around when camp is over. Now if you don't mind." Gloriosa said urging him to go back to his car.

"Fine." Filthy Rich said getting in his car and driving away.

Turning around Gloriosa saw Sunset, Luke and Twilight looking at her.

"Filthy Rich is an alumni. Likes to return to his old stomping ground every now and again. But enough about him, find your tents and we can begin the best week of camp ever!" Gloriosa said.

Being sorted into tents, Sunset was with Twilight, Pinkie Pie with Rarity, Fluttershy with Sonata and Rainbow Dash with Applejack while Luke was bunking with Flash.

Sitting down in their tent, Luke and Flash put their bags down.

"So Luke any idea where to start looking for your flower, Romeo?" Flash teases.

"Ha Ha real funny Flash." Luke sighs.

"What's up? Was it something I said?" Flash asks.

"Sorry, it's just tradition is a big thing in my family and lately my track record is not the best." Luke cringed.

"Sorry man." Flash said before sitting next to him. "Hey can I ask you something? Do you think I'm wasting my time going after Twilight?"

"This one or Equestria Twilight?" Luke asks.

"This one. I mean I know she's not my Twilight." Flash said.

"Hate to break it to you buddy, but your Twilight is from another world and has a lot of responsibilities." Luke said.

"So what should I do?" Flash asks.

"My advice, move on and be patient. I bet you'll find someone." Luke said clapping Flash on the back.

"Thanks Luke. Now if only I can help you with your love life like you just helped me with mine." Flash smirks.

"It would take a miracle to help me with mine." Luke said when Burpy lifts his head up and looks towards the woods.

Chirping Burpy hops off the bed and out of the tent telling Luke to follow him.

"What's wrong Burpy?" Luke asks as Burpy whistles and Joltz, Frost, Dozer, Bullet and Shaman hopped out and followed him. "Guys come back."

Getting out of his tent Luke followed after the 6 slugs.

Behind him Rarity and Applejack were walking towards their tents.

"I'm all for learning safety rules but I do hope I can get started on my designs for the camp fashion show sooner rather than later." Rarity said.

"I still can't believe that you talked Gloriosa into have a fashion show. We're in the middle of the woods for crying out loud. We're supposed to be roughing it." Applejack said.

"It's clear from Gloriosa's own wardrobe that she appreciates a well put together look. Even if we are in the middle of the woods. Besides I really want to look my best." Rarity said as she sees Luke following his slugs.

"Whatever just don't put me in one of your fancy-pants outfits." Applejack said when she sees the look on Rarity's face. "You're gonna, aren't you?"

"No. Yes. Don't worry; I promise it'll speak to your sense of style." Rarity said as they walked past Sunset and Twilight's tent.

Inside, Sunset picked up the flashlight and sighed pretending it was Luke giving her the Destiny Rose before she looked up to Twilight. "That was weird back there, right? With that guy, Filthy Rich?" Sunset asks.

"Huh? Oh I guess so." Twilight said not really paying attention.

"I just have a feeling that Gloriosa's hiding something. Hey are you okay? You seem a little freaked out on the bus earlier." Sunset asks.

"Probably had another one of her nightmares." Spike said as Voltz chirped in agreement only for Twilight to throw socks over them.

"I'm fine. I mean, what do I have to complain about? I'm part of the Shane Gang and everyone at CHS has been really kind and accepting. Even after what happened at the Friendship Games." Twilight said.

"It wasn't your fault. Principal Cinch was willing to do whatever it took to win. She even had Ryan break Luke's arm. You weren't ready for all that power, but it's over now. And if there's any group that's gonna forgive you for something that happened in the past trust me, it's this one." Sunset said when Rainbow walked over to the tent.

"You guys coming or what?" Rainbow asks.

"Be right there. Just wanna put on some sunscreen. Torch do you see it anywhere in there?" Sunset asks as Torch pops his head out of the bag and shakes it meaning no.

"Found it." Twilight said pointing to the ground when suddenly the bottle of sunscreen started to float along with quite a few other items in the tent.

"Did you? How is this possible?" Sunset asks.

"I can't believe this it's…"

"Amazing/ terrible." Sunset and Twilight said as the same time as the objects fell to the ground.

"Are you kidding? This is amazing. We've all ponyed up before. Gotten the whole ears, wings and tails thing. Shot magical rainbow lasers but nothing like this has ever happened before. How did you do it?" Sunset asks.

"I don't know. Maybe I didn't. Maybe it's her." Twilight said.

"Her who?" Sunset asks.

"Nothing. Never mind, can we just not tell anyone about this whole levitating thing?" Twilight asks.

"Why not?" Sunset asks.

"You heard Applejack; this place is supposed to be where we can get away from magic. I don't want them to know I brought some crazy new kind with me. Not to mention Luke is probably gonna have his hands full with his family tradition." Twilight said.

"If you really don't want me to, I won't say anything." Sunset said.

"I really don't." Twilight said leaving.

"Okay but this isn't necessarily a bad thing." Sunset said but Twilight didn't listen.

Looking down at the sunblock Sunset grunted as she tried to move it with her mind but nothing happened.

"I think you're gonna have to pick it up." Spike said.

"Aw." Sunset sighs picking it up with her hands.

As she put it on, she walks out of her tent when she accidentally bumped into Gloriosa.

"Show up like that."

"What did you say?" Sunset asks.

"I didn't say anything. Just came to make sure everyone was heading for the docks. Did you need something? Because if you do I've got this." Gloriosa said chipper.

"People that chipper make me nervous." Sunset said when Pinkie hugs her from behind.

"This is gonna be so much fun!" Pinkie said causing Torch, Volts and Spike to smirk at her.

"I guess not all people." Sunset smiles.

In the forest, Burpy and the slugs were leading Luke through some bushes.

"Come on guys, I need to get back to camp before people get worried." Luke said as they came to a small cave.

Burpy turns around and gestures for Luke to walk in.

Slowly Luke steps inside and Burpy lights his head and inside Luke gasps seeing a Destiny Rose growing from a small patch of grass inside the cave.

"Destiny Roses." Luke gasps before realizing why it was exclusive only to Shanes. "Only a slug can find these flowers, that's why?"

Smiling Burpy nods as Luke slowly walks down and picks up the rose before holding it up to the sky.

"Now comes the hard part." Luke sighs as all the slugs hopped into his slug bag while Burpy hops on his shoulder slowly Luke puts the rose in an empty slug canister and clips it to his belt.

At the dock, Luke walked over and saw Twilight walking over.

"Hey Luke where were you? You missed the safety instructions." Twilight said.

"Sorry I uh got pulled away. Think you can fill me in?" Luke asks.

"Sure." Twilight said leading him towards the dock when suddenly her foot fell through one of the boards.

"Whoa!" Luke said catching her. "I got ya Twilight."

Twilight looks up and saw his calm and assuring smile causing a faint blush to appear on her face.

'You okay?" Luke asks helping her up.

"Uh yeah thanks." Twilight said as Luna, Celestia and Gloriosa walked up to examine the hole.

"This is a safety hazard. I suggest we close down the dock for the remainder of the camp." Luna said causing the students to complain.

"Oh, I'm sure it won't have to be for the remainder of camp. Just needs to be patched up a bit. I've got this!" Gloriosa said when Applejack realized something.

"Huh. Or maybe we do! If you ask me, this whole dock needs to go. Building a new one could be our camp gift. Sure, it would benefit us, but a nice new dock would benefit future campers, too." Applejack said causing the others to nod in agreement.

"I don't know. It's an awful lot of work. I wouldn't want you guys to miss out on doing other fun camp stuff because you're so busy building a dock for future campers." Timber said glaring at Gloriosa who glares back which Sunset immediately notices.

"I hear what you're saying, Timber, but we're Canterlot Wondercolts. We've got a reputation to uphold! And there was no way we were gonna leave this place without contributing the most awesome camp gift ever! I'm with AJ. Building a new dock is definitely it! What do you guys think?" Rainbow asks as all the students and slugs cheer.

"Looks like it's settled." Gloriosa smirks.

"Looks like it." Timber sighs.

"That's some tension alright." Sunset cringed.

As some of the students were taking the dock apart everyone else was at a table going over plans.

"We can reinforce the foundation." Twilight said.

"Make it nice and sturdy." Applejack adds.

"And we can add a wooden carved sign that says Camp Everfree." Sunset adds.

"Some boxes to feed all the little ducks and fishes." Fluttershy said.

"And some lanterns so you can see at night." Rainbow adds.

When they saw the finished sketch all of them smile.

"Ooh that'll make the perfect runway for my camp fashion show!" Rarity squeals.

"More importantly it'll be the perfect place to dock canoes and feed wildlife." Applejack said.

"You say tomato I say the perfect place to showcase fashion." Rarity said.

"What do you guys think?" Luke asks.

"It's gonna be a lot of hardwork but we can do it." Celestia said.

"Yaay! Adult Supervision!" Pinkie cheers surprising everyone.

Soon they were hard at work fixing the docks.

Picking up a hammer, Rainbow was hammering nails when Applejack walks over.

"Nice hammer, where'd you get it?" Applejack asks.

"Uh the toolbox." Rainbow points confused.

"That's cool. I made mine." Applejack said revealing her own handmade hammer from a rock.

"Great maybe you can use it to hammer these in." Sonata said walking over with a few boards.

Nearby, Luke was making a lantern when Burpy blew a little fireball to light it up.

"Good job Burpy." Luke said as Burpy chuckles.

Looking out at the Rainbooms, Luke pauses before he reached into his pocket and pulls out the Destiny Rose and looks at it carefully. "Who do I give it to?" Luke asks when he heard a gasp.

Turning to the side he saw Twilight nearby seeing the flower in his hand.

"Luke…you found it." Twilight said and he immediately panicked grabbing Twilight and pulling her to the side.

"Twilight please don't say anything." Luke whispers leading her under a tree.

"Luke who did you find it? Where did you find it?" Twilight asks as Luke shushes her.

"Look I found, but please don't tell anyone I have." Luke said.

"Any reason why?" Twilight asks.

"Please Twilight I need to figure out the right moment." Luke said.

'Right moment…oh my god does Luke want to give it to me?' Twilight blushes. "Uh sure I won't say anything."

"Thank you, Twilight." Luke said giving her a small hug before letting go and walking away.

"I don't believe it; this is why he wanted me to come to Canterlot after the Friendship Games and asked me to join the Shane Gang and Rainbooms. He likes me." Twilight said.

"Alright everyone, you've made a lot of progress but it's going to be getting dark soon. We can pick this up tomorrow between our other camp activities." Celestia said.

"Everyone clean up and gather at the fire pit at 8 for smores and scary stories." Gloriosa said.

"Smores!" Pinkie cheers excitedly.

That night everyone was sitting around the campfire as Rarity was telling her scary story.

"And that's when she looked down and realized she was wearing purple socks with a burgundy dress! Purple and burgundy, darlings! The same color family!" Rarity screams while all the other students murmur.

"Uh, oh no the horror." Luke said pretending to be scared.

"Yeah it was terrifying." Applejack said.

"The only way I'll be scared is if she says it again." Rainbow chuckles.

"Anyone else have a spooky story?" Luna asks.

"I have one. But I'm warning you, you might as well hug a friend now. That's how scary it is." Timber warns.

"Oh dear." Fluttershy said holding Spike and Shield close.

Snips hugged Snails and Bulk Biceps held them both close.

Sunset looked towards Luke when suddenly Twilight grabbed Luke causing a soft blush to appear on his face.

'When did those two get so close?' Sunset thought.

"It's time I told you the Legend of Gaea Everfree. Many years ago, my great-grandparents came to this forest. Seeing its beauty, they decided that it would be the perfect place for a camp. But once they started building, strange things started to happen. One pitch black night, when the wind was howling, a tree branch crashed through the roof of their cabin! They screamed and ran outside, only to see the giant creature rising from the earth! She had wild hair like the roots of a tree. Her mouth had jagged rock teeth and her eyes were pools of black tar. But her aura shimmered like diamonds. Anywhere she went, she left a trail of gem dust in her wake. Trembling, my great-grandparents asked who she was and what she wanted. In a deep and hollow voice, she told them that her name was Gaea Everfree – an ancient spirit who held domain over the forest, and that my great-grandparents were trespassing on her land. They begged her to let them stay and build their camp, to share this wonderful place with others. Gaea Everfree finally agreed but warned them that they would not be able to keep it forever. Someday, she will return and reclaim the forest as her own. So if you see a trail of gem dust you'll know it's Gaea Everfree!" Timber declared as a shadow appeared behind him causing everyone to scream only for the shadow to come into the light revealing it to be Gloriosa.

"Hey guys, sorry I didn't mean to scare you." Gloriosa said.

"Then why did you come out of the bushes?" Sunset asks.

"I... took the scenic route, because the forest is beautiful at night. But no one else should do it without a guide, kay? All right, everybody, time to head to your tents." Gloriosa said.

"Oh uh hey Ms. Gloriosa, do you have any extra toothbrushes? I forgot mine?" Snips asks pointing to his grossed-out teeth.

"Sure do, I'll get one." Gloriosa cringed when Snails comes over.

"And do you have any flashlights? I'm scared of the dark." Snails asks.

"Of course, I got this." Gloriosa said as everyone but the Rainbooms left.

"Fluttershy." Spike said starting to choke.

"Oh sorry Spike, I guess that story got to me." Fluttershy said.

"Why? It can't be real." Applejack said.

"I don't know. Gaea Everfree could be some creature that got booted from Equestria and ended up in this world. That's what happened with the sirens." Rainbow said.

"She's got a point, in Equestria we did have a place called the Everfree Forest." Sonata recalls.

"You see? That can't be a coincidence." Rainbow said.

"Eh. Sounded more like something that Timber was makin' up just to scare us. At least I hope it was. Last thing I want is to have camp ruined by some power-crazed magical creature." Applejack said.

"We certainly have been facing a lot of them." Luke said.

"True but we've overcome things like this before." Sunset said.

"Yeah…come on girls lets get to bed." Luke suggests.

"Good idea." Pinkie said with a mouth full of marshmallows.

"Night Luke." Twilight said giving him a small hug before walking with a skip in her step.

"Wow Twilight sure looks a lot happier than when we showed up. You must've helped calm her down." Sunset said walking over to him as everyone headed back.

"Hmm I wonder why?" Luke said as Sunset turned around to put out the fire.

Reaching into his pocket Luke pulls out the Destiny Rose. 'I wonder.'

"Lately she's been a little sensitive about the Friendship Games so we should probably not bring that up." Sunset said.

"Hmm mm yeah sure." Luke said not hearing her.

"Luke? Luke? Hey you in there?" Sunset asks turning to her.

"What?" Luke turns around and Sunset gasps seeing him with the Destiny Rose in his hand.

"L-Luke is that?" Sunset blushes softly as he looks down and gulps.

"Uh yeah, it's the Shane Destiny Rose." Luke nods.

'Oh sweet Celestia this is a dream come true. Me, Luke alone under the night sky with the rose in his hands.' Sunset grins widely.

"Sunset please, don't say anything about me having this. I'm trying to figure out some things and I just don't have the right words." Luke said.

"Uh sure. I mean yeah I guess." Sunset said.

"Thank you." Luke said giving her a small hug before walking away.

"Oh wow, he wants to give the rose but he just doesn't know what to say yet…wow Luke must really like me." Sunset smiles hoping to get that rose soon.

Back in the tents, Luke arrives to see Flash was fast asleep in his bed.

Sighing Luke lays down and Burpy hops out as Luke puts the Destiny Rose aside.

"Burpy did dad ever have doubts before he gave his rose to mom?" Luke asks.

Burby moves his head back and forth indicating not much.

"Yeah back then dad just had mom while I right now I have no idea who to give mine too." Luke sighs as Burpy laid down next to him. "Thanks, Burpy maybe by the end of this week I'll figure it out."

Burpy nods as Luke patted him and suddenly a warm feeling enveloped Luke for a second before they both fell asleep.

The next morning, at Twilight and Sunset's tent Twilight, was tossing and turning in her sleep.

In her dream, Twilight was sitting by a fire with Luke right next to her and in her hair was the Destiny Rose.

"This is perfect." Luke sighs holding her close.

"Just perfect." Twilight sighs when she suddenly heard a noise.

"Here I am." Midnight Sparkle said as her voice echoed around them.

"Twilight?" Luke asks when something hit him knocking him to the ground.

"Luke!" Twilight screams when suddenly he stood up revealing he was turned into Nightmare Slinger.

"Hmm I like this form better don't you think?" Midnight Sparkle said stepping out next to him.

"Join us Twilight." Nightmare Slinger grins.

"No!" Twilight screams waking up scaring Sunset out of bed.

"What? What happened?" Sunset said grabbing her blaster.

"Nothing. Sorry Sunset." Twilight said as Sunset opened her eyes and gasped.

"Uh Twilight. I think something happened." Sunset points revealing everything on Twilight's side of the tent was floating.

Screaming Twilight panics as everything drops back down to the ground waking Spike and Volts up.

"Ugh is it time to get up already?" Spike groans as Volts rubbed his eyes.

"Twilight we really have to talk about this." Sunset said concerned.

"No we don't." Twilight said not wanting to talk about it.

Outside, Luke had decided to go on an early morning nature walk with Fluttershy and a few other campers.

"Alright everyone we're almost there." Timber said leading the group.

"I hope so." Snips pants.

"So tired." Snails pants only to reveal they were sitting on Bulk Biceps shoulders as he hiked.

"How are those guys tired? He's doing all the work." Luke asks.

"Snips and Snails aren't very outdoorsy." Fluttershy said.

"Clearly." Luke chuckles.

Making their way to the top of the hill, all of them gazed out at the sunrise.

"Woah." They all said.

"Yep, you don't get a sunrise like that in the city." Timber smiles.

"It's beautiful." Fluttershy said.

"Yeah it really is." Luke smiles.

After a half hour, Luke saw the campers walk away.

Thinking the coast was clear, he took out the Destiny Rose.

"I wish there was a magic that could tell me who to give you too." Luke said.

As FLuttershy made her way down she saw she forgot her walking stick.

"Oh dear. I must've left it at the top." Fluttershy said turning around.

Looking up at the sun, Luke sighs as he turned around to head back to camp when he noticed his shoe was untied.

"Uh oh." As Luke put the rose in his mouth he got down on one knee to tie it, but when he did Fluttershy walked out of the bushes.

"Luke have you seen my walking stick?" Fluttershy asks when Luke looks up at her and she gasps.

"Wait Luke… onone knee…the Destiny Rose?" Fluttershy stutters as she started to turn bright feel weak in the knees and drops down.

"Whoa Fluttershy are you okay?" Luke asks putting the rose down.

"Luke?" Fluttershy said as he helped her up.

"Fluttershy please don't say I have the rose. I-I am really nervous right now." Luke said.

'Wait, Luke is nervous, but so am I. I don't believe it, he likes me but he's so scared how I might react.' Fluttershy thought.

"I know this is a surprise and all but—" Before Luke could finish Fluttershy stopped him.

"Luke I know what it's like to be scared. Don't worry." Fluttershy said.

"Wow, you're taking this very well." Luke said impressed.

Offering a hand Fluttershy and Luke walked back down to camp.

And needless to say Fluttershy was feeling very happy right now.

An hour later at the mess hall, Luke was standing in front of the wall of Shanes looking at his family.

"Wow, Grandpa sure looks different without a beard." Luke said as he and Burpy chuckle. "Boy my family sure has a lot of traditions."

"Isn't that what makes them so great?" Luke looks to see Applejack walking over. "Makes it that much better when you do them."

"You sound like you speak from experience." Luke said.

"Oh yeah, the Apple Family has tons of traditions." Applejack smiles.

"Sounds like fun." Luke said as they got in line for breakfast.

"Whoo, it's so hot. Someone turn on the fan." Snips pants.

As Snails walks over he flips the switch setting it to max, but when he did the fast air blew Applejack's hat and Luke's Destiny Rose off them.

"My hat!" Applejack said as the hat lands on top of the rose.

Looking over Luke saw Applejack's long blonde hair flowing and a soft blush appeared on his face.

"Uh here let me get that." Luke said walking over to get her hat. "I gotta say. Even though you wear this all the time you look really pretty without it on." Luke said.

"Aw shucks Luke you don't have to say such things." Applejack blushes as she grabs the hat and puts it on, but when she did, she felt something touch her head. "Huh?"

Reaching under her hat she pulls out the Destiny Rose causing her to gasp.

"Oh man how did that get out?" Luke said.

"Wait, Luke this was yours…and it was under my hat." Apple pauses in shock thinking this was it.

"Uh I'm sorry but I need to go." Luke said grabbing the rose and running off.

As Applejack looks at him she has a curious look. "Why didn't he want to give it to me?" She asks before gasping. "He must have some big Shane tradition to giving the rose. Ooh I'm so excited." Applejack smiles as she walked to the door before looking in the mirror. Taking off her hat for a second, she looks at her hair. "Hmm maybe."

Out in the lake, Derpy and Sandalwood were in a boat trying to sail but there was no wind at all to make them go anywhere.

As Sunset and Twilight made their way to the docks Twilight was still shaken from earlier.

"Hey I know you don't want to talk about, but I really think we need to know what's going on with your magic. If you can learn how, you might be able to control it." Sunset said.

"No that's just it. This isn't like shooting a slug! I'll never be able to control it!" Twilight said when Derpy and Sandalwood's boat crashed into the docks.

"What happened?" Sonata asks as she and Rainbow ran over.

"I didn't mean to." Twilight said thinking it was her.

"We didn't see anything so we don't know what happened." Sunset said as they ran over.

"Are you guys okay?" Rainbow asks.

"Yeah, we were in the middle of the lake with no wind and then out of nowhere bam! The wind picked up and we smashed right into the docks." Sandalwood said.

"Well that's weird." Luke said.

"Do you think it was that spirit lady?" Pinkie guesses.

"No, it was me." Twilight whispers.

"Spirit, show yourself. The Great and Powerful Trixie commands it!" Trixie said causing Pinkie Pie and Luke to facepalm.

"What's that?" Rarity gasps pointing to the water to see a purple glowing trail in the water.

As everyone muttered Luke, Sonata, Applejack, Fluttershy, Sunset and Rainbow met up at the destroyed docks.

"Aw man! All our hard work ruined!" Rainbow Dash whines.

"At least the fishes are eating okay." Fluttershy said.

"Let's salvage what we can out of the water and fix this." Luke said.

"We have to try! Camp Everfree needs a runway!" Rarity said.

"Dock." Applejack corrects.

"Dock. Yes, that's what I meant." Rarity said.

"I think we better go get the tools." Sunset said.

"Luke follow me, I think we put them all away in the supply room after yesterday." Rainbow points to a shed.

Walking inside, Luke and Rainbow looked around for the tools.

"Man just our luck. I was really looking forward to doing some camp sports." Rainbow said.

"You mean winning the camp sports?" Luke smirks.

"Hey it's not my fault I win everything I play. I'm awesome like that." Rainbow smirks.

"Not true, I beat you." Luke reminds.

"You got lucky. There's no way you'll beat me again." Rainbow scoffs.

"Spoken like a sore loser." Luke teases.

"Oh yeah?" Rainbow turns to face him but ends up elbowing some boxes causing them to wobble. "Uh oh."

"Rainbow Dash look out!" Luke runs over and tackled Rainbow out of the way before the toolbox on the top fell down where she was originally standing.

Opening her eyes, Rainbow saw Luke on top of her his face near hers.

"Uh…" Rainbow blushes.

"S-sorry." Luke said getting up when the Destiny Rose fell out of the container and drops right in onto Rainbow Dash causing both their eyes to widen.

"Luke?" Rainbow said.

"Uh yeah surprise." Luke said nervously as Rainbow picked up the rose.

'Ohmygosh! Ohmygosh! Ohmygosh!' Rainbow thought with a million things going on in her head. 'I'm Luke's soulmate?!'

"W-Whoa, I uh wasn't expecting this." Rainbow said when Luke took the rose.

"Rainbow sorry but uh I'm kind of embarrassed with how this popped out." Luke said.

"Embarrassed?" Rainbow said before she realized something. 'No way, Luke knows how awesome I am and he wanted to do something big and epic to show it, he didn't want me to find out this way.'

"I uh just have a lot going on and…"

"Luke take all the time you need." Rainbow said causing him to smile.

"Thank you." Luke smiles putting the Destinny Rose away and grabbing the toolbox.

As he walked out Rainbow pumped her fist. "Aw yeah! Camp just got WAY better!"

At Twilight and Sunset's tent, Sunset walked in to see Spike laying down with Torch and all her slugs.

"So many squirrels." Spike said in his sleep.

"Guys wake up." Sunset said shaking them causing them all to wake up.

"Ah! Oh. Aw, man! I was having the best dream. Wait. That dream could be a reality!" Spike realized.

"Before you run off to chase squirrels, do you have any idea where Twilight could be? I really need to talk to her." Sunset asks.

"What happened? Did she do that lifting things off the ground thing again?" Spike asks.

"That's just it. I don't know if it was her. But if it was, we need to deal with it head on." Sunset said.

"I can track her down." Spike said.

"Perfect, but first." Sunset picks up her blaster and whistles for Torch to hop on her shoulder. "Just in case."

"Hmm you know you kinda act like Luke letting a slug always ride on her shoulder." Spike said walking out not noticing Sunset squeal softy thinking how right he was.

In the woods, Twilight was looking down at her reflection.

"Keep it together. Deep breaths, you are not a monster." Twilight said.

"Hey there you are." Twilight turns to see Sonata walk over.

"Sonata?" Twilight said surprised.

"What's going on? What are you doing out here?" Sonata asks.

"I uh got lost." Twilight said.

"Well lucky for you I'm here to help." Sonata said offering a hand.

"You know how to navigate through the wilderness?" Twilight asks.

"Nope, but tonight is Taco Night and I can smell the mess hall all the way from here." Sonata smiles causing Twilight to giggle and take her hand.

"Hey Sonata can I ask you something?" Twilight asks.

"What's up?" Sonata asks as they walked back to camp.

"How are always able to smile? I mean you once tried to take over the school like me. Uh no offense." Twilight asks.

"None taken and truth is after I got beat the first time I wasn't happy. I was miserable, I was all alone, no powers, no friends, not even a roof over my head…and when I thought I would never be happy Luke and all our friends found me. They gave me a reason to smile as I became a member of the Shane Gang and the Rainbooms. Look being the new girl after an accident is tough but hey if I can get through it so can you." Sonata said.

"You think so?" Twilight asks.

"I know so." Sonata smiles.

As they walked to camp Sunset and Spike saw the two of them smiling and laughing.

"Hmm maybe I should have asked Sonata to help me right out of the gate." Sunset smiles seeing someone was getting through to Twilight.

At the Rock-climbing wall, Rarity was about to climb while Applejack and Rainbow were nearby.

"Rock climbing is all about perseverance and trust. Rarity, you can trust that Applejack will spot you." Celestia said.

"Yeah, so you can totally go faster than you're going." Rainbow said.

"Rainbow Dash, what's got you so jittery today? You're wound up like a spring ready to jump." Applejack asks.

"Let's just say something I've got something to look forward to." Rainbow said looking to Luke who was walking towards the Archery targets.

Activating his wrist blasters, Burpy chirped eager to be launched. "Okay buddy."

"We'll you'll have to wait a little longer, darling." Rarity said when Sonata and Twilight walked over.

"Oh, good! Twilight, if you spot me, I can finally go. I'll go get another harness." Rainbow said running off.

"Uh I'm not sure that I—" Twilight said when Sonata nudged her.

"Come on Twilight it's not that big of an obstacle." Sonata smirks when she noticed Luke load Burpy into his blaster. "Ooh what do you say Pieper? Up for some target practice?"

Pieper chirps happily as Sonata walks over to Luke.

"Twilight there you are." Sunset said as she and Spike came over. "I wanted to talk to you about something."

Before Twilight could answer the whole camp started to rumble causing students to scream until it stopped.

"Was that an earthquake?" Spike asks.

"We aren't near any fault lines." Twilight said.

"Hey! Who left this crystal dust stuff here?" Bulk Biceps asks looking at another crystal trail.

As Rarity tried to climb, she slipped and dangled. "I-I believe I'd like to come down now!" She yelps.

Down below, Applejack tried to lower her, but the harness was stuck. "Hang on, it's a little stuck." Suddenly Applejack's hands started to glow and with one tug Rarity was lifted to the top of the wall causing her to scream. Yelping Applejack let go causing Rarity to fall and stop just inches from the ground.

"Applejack! What are you doing?!" Rarity snaps.

"Is everything okay over there?" Celestia asks.

"Uh, I don't know what happened. I didn't even pull the rope that hard. It's like she was light as a feather all of a sudden." Applejack said.

"Huh?" Luke looks over and didn't notice his hands and wrist blasters started to glow.

"I was scared half to death." Rarity said trying to get her harness off.

"It wasn't my fault! Let me help you get your harness out." Applejack said.

"No thank you!" Rarity held out her hands and a giant diamond appeared and knocked Applejack into the bushes.

"What just happened?" Celestia asks as Applejack walks out covered in twigs.

"Oh, dear! I am so sorry! I think. Did I just do whatever that was?" Rarity asks when they heard a blaster being fired and suddenly Luke's scream echoed throughout the camp.

"Luke?!" Sonata screams.

Turning around they saw Burpy fly into the air but what shocked them was Luke was covered in flames just like Burpy.

"Put me out! Put me out!" Luke screams running around.

"Luke hold still!" Sonata said trying to catch him. "Wait. STOP!" Sonata yells as soundwaves flew from her mouth and knocked Luke into the lake surprising everyone.

Gasping everyone looked to Sonata who covered her mouth shocked.

Coughing Luke resurfaced as Burpy returned to normal and he struggled to get ashore.

"Luke what happened?" Twilight asks as they ran over.

"I don't know. I loaded Burpy into my blaster and the next thing I know the second Burpy starts growing flames I'm on fire." Luke said.

"And where did that scream of mine come from?" Sonata asks.

"I don't think it was your fault. I'm gonna go get Luke a towel." Twilight said running off.

"Me too." Sunset said following her. "You're not the only one with a new kind of magic! This is great!"

"No it's not! Luke, Sonata, Rarity and Applejack could have really hurt each other! Why is this happening? I don't—" Before Twilight could finish Gloriosa walks over.

"Hi, girls! Anything I can do for you?" She asks.

"Uh Luke fell into the lake." Twilight said.

"Oh, no! He's gonna need warm towels, dry clothes, oh, and a hot cocoa! I've got this!" Gloriosa said running off.

Nearby, Sonata was helping Luke to a bench who was shivering.

"There you go. They should be back soon." Sonata said.

"What was that?" Luke asks.

"It's kinda similar to when the Goon used you to absorb our powers but instead you absorbed and copied Burpy's power." Sonata said.

"Really?" Luke asks looking to Burpy who shrugs when Burpy points to his belt and gasps.

Looking down Luke saw the Destiny Rose had fallen out. "Oh no it's gone."

Getting up Luke looks around.

"Luke what's wrong?" Sonata said trying to follow him when she noticed something by his feet.

Turning around Luke saw the Destiny Rose, but when he reached down and grabbed it, both his and Sonata's hands touched it at the same time.

Blushing both of them looked up into each other's eyes.

"L-Luke?" Sonata asks.

Luke was about to say something when Gloriosa walks over.

"There you are." Gloriosa said as Luke took the rose and put it in his pocket before turning to her.

"Your friends told me about your incident. Here you go." Gloriosa said handing him a towel.

"Oh thank you." Luke said drying himself off.

"If you need anything else don't hesitate to ask." Gloriosa said walking away.

Luke was about to say something to Sonata when they heard an explosion followed by a scream.

"We better go check that out." Luke said.

"Yeah." Sonata said following him. 'Guess Luke is a little nervous about that. No worries I can wait.'

Running over, Luke and Sonata arrived just after Sunset and Twilight ran in.

"Whoa, what happened here?" Luke asks seeing cookie dough all over the place.

"We were just baking cookies." Fluttershy said.

"And I was like you need more sprinkles and you need more sprinkles!" Pinkie said.

"So standard Pinkie Pie stuff." Sunset smirks.

"I was just tossing sprinkles to Fluttershy, when all of a sudden they glowed pink and exploded!" Reaching for some sprinkles she tosses them up and they exploded in their faces. "Just like that only earlier."

"Ok. Why don't you lay off touching stuff for a while?" Sunset suggests.

"This is why I never give Pinkie Pie a Hop Rock or a Grenuke slug." Luke said.

"Good call." Spike said.

"Oh, dear. We really should clean all of this up." Fluttershy said trying to reach the paper towels. "Can someone help me out?"

"Sure I'll be right there." Luke said about to walk over when Shield leaps out and got her for her.

"Why thank you Shield." Fluttershy said when Shield chirps. "Sure I'll see if I can get you something to eat. Wait, did you just talk?" Fluttershy looks to Shield who just chirps shaking his head. "But I don't speak Slug."

"Fluttershy can you understand Shield?" Luke asks walking over.

"I don't know." Fluttershy said when Burpy chirps. "No thank Burpy I think I'm fine."

Instantly Luke, Burpy and Fluttershy gasp. "I-I can speak to Slugs?" Fluttershy gasps when suddenly birds flew in and landed on her shoulders. "Uh it's nice to meet you all."

"And birds too apparently." Luke said blown away.

"Were you just talking to the birds?" Sunset asks.

"Uhm yes." Fluttershy said when the door swings open causing her to yelp and all the birds flew away.

Turning around they saw Applejack and Rarity come in.

"Did you tell them what happened?" Applejack asks walking in. "So crazy! I hoisted Rarity up the rock climbing wall like it was nothin'! Like I had way more strength than I usually do."

"And I made a diamondy thing appear out of nowhere, which normally I'd be excited about. I mean, the facets were just perfect, and the—" Rarity starts.

"Rarity!" Applejack said snapping her out of it.

"Oh, sorry. It knocked Applejack over and then it disappeared!" Rarity said.

"Speaking of, has anyone seen Rainbow Dash?" Sonata asks when Rainbow Dash ran in at super speed and hit the wall.

"Ow!" Rainbow groans.

"Whoa! How'd you do that?" Applejack asks.

"I don't know. I started running to get the harness, and the next thing I knew, I was practically back in town!" Rainbow explains.

"But if you had some sort of super speed, why you were gone for so long?" Rarity asks.

"Because I lost it when I got far away and then it came back when I got close to camp." Rainbow said.

"This is weird, since we've arrived at camp, we all got some new magical abilities. Even I have powers now." Luke said.

"Not all of us have gotten new abilities. I haven't, but Twilight." Sunset looks to Twilight who shook her head quickly. "Hasn't either."

"So much for my theory that leaving CHS would mean leaving any new magic business behind." Applejack sighs.

"How is this possible?" Sonata asks.

"Something at camp must be making this happen." Sunset said.

"Uhm Gaea Everfree?" Fluttershy guesses when the door opens causing Fluttershy to scream.

"What happened here?" Gloriosa asks walking in.

"We're trying to figure that out." Luke said.

"Well, don't worry about it. I got this!" Gloriosa said when Sandalwood popped his head in.

"Gloriosa, I kicked my beanbag into the lake." Sandalwood said causing her eyes to twitch.

"I'll get you another one." Gloriosa said when Derpy walks in.

"And I'm all out of arrows." Depry said holding up some broken arrows.

"Say no more, new arrows coming right up." Gloriosa said when Timber came in.

"There you are." Timber said leaning into whisper. "Filthy Rich is back, you want me to handle him?"

"Absolutely not! I've got this." Gloriosa accidentally nudges Sunset and she heard a screaming.

"Fluttershy enough with the screaming." Sunset said annoyed.

"I didn't scream." Fluttershy said.

"This time." Rainbow said.

"No one did." Luke said as all the slugs agreed.

"Huh?" Sunset said confused when the PA system was turned on.

"Attention, campers! Anyone who's interested in making floating paper lanterns, please meet us by the picnic tables." Celestia said.

"I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I've been lookin' forward to comin' here for a month. Maybe we forget about this "new magic" for a bit and just try to focus on enjoyin' our time at camp?" Applejack said.

"I was oh, so excited about designs I've come up with for the camp fashion show." Rarity said.

"And I haven't whooped anyone in tetherball yet." Rainbow said.

"We've been through a lot, maybe we need a break." Luke suggests.

"I think we should try to figure it out. But if letting go is what you all want." Sunset smirks as all of the nod in agreement.

As they all were about to walk out Luke grabs Pinkie Pie. "Where do you think you're going?"

"Uh to do Lanterns." Pinkie points.

"You're not going anywhere until you clean up your mess." Luke points.

"Aww but Gloriosa said she got this." Pinkie whines.

"I don't care, you made this mess so now you're gonna clean it up." Luke said.

"See you guys at the Lanterns." Sunset said as they all left.

Handing Pinkie a paper towel, she and Luke got to cleaning.

"Man there are cookies everywhere." Luke said.

"I wanted to make enough for everyone." Pinkie said.

"Still you could have just made a few at a time." Luke said.

"You could have let me have fun." Pinkie said.

"Pinkie there's a time to be fun and there's a time to be helpful. You need to know." Luke said.

"I guess, but I need more soap." Pinkie said before getting an idea. "Suds!" Hoping out of her pocket Suds leaps into Pinkie's hands.

"Uh oh." Luke said seeing what was about to happen.

"Time to clean!" Pinkie loads suds into her blaster and fires.

A few second later, bubbles exploded all over of the mess hall as everything was spotless Pinkie Pie was giggling as bubbles were all around her.

"Whee! That was fun, right Luke?" Pinkie asks but got no answer. "Luke?"

Looking around Pinkie saw a hand struggling to escape the bubbles causing Pinkie to gasp.

"Hang on Luke! I'll save you!" Pinkie said taking a deep breath before diving into the bubbles.

Soon the door opens and bubbles flew out into the air while Pinkie and Luke slide out coughing.

"Thanks Pinkie." Luke coughs.

"Don't scare me like that." Pinkie said.

"Then try going easy on the slug fire." Luke chuckles.

"Sorry, lesson learned." Pinkie giggles when the rest of the bubbles washed out and the Destiny Rose landed right between Luke and Pinkie Pie.

"L-Luke?" Pinkie asks looking up at him as he picked the rose.

"Look Pinkie I uh." Luke said trying to explain.

"You want some more time to figure this out?" Pinkie asks.

"How did you know?" Luke asks.

"Oh just a hunch." Pinkie smiles before giving him a kiss on the lips surprising him. "Come on, the lanterns await." Pinkie said running off.

Surprised Luke looks to Burpy who was just as confused. "Girls?"

Burpy chirps agreeing with him on that.

As the sun was setting, everyone was decorating their lanterns.

At one table, all the Rainbooms but Twilight were working on their lanterns.

"Uh Pinkie Pie, Sonata what are you doing?" Rarty asks as both girls were putting marshmallows and candy on their lanterns.

"You like it? Pinkie Pie came up with the idea to decorate with marshmallows and sweets." Sonata smiles.

"Then when we light them ours will be beautiful and delicious." Pinkie said as she and Sonata high fived.

Across from them Spike looked over.

"Hey, Twilight, why aren't you with everyone else?" Spike asks.

"Sunset said something at camp is causing the others to get new magic. I think it's Midnight Sparkle. She's still part of me. I can feel it. And I think her magic is infecting my friends." Twilight panics.

"What are we gonna do?" Spike asks.

"I don't know what I can do, but I don't want anyone to get hurt…especially Luke." Twilight mutters that last part.

"Luke?" Spike smirks. "Oh you got a little crush on slug boy huh?"

"What? No, I don't." Twilight blushes.

"Yes you do. What happened?" Twilight asks.

"Well uh on the first night here…Luke came up to me with the Destiny Rose." Twilight admits.

"Dang girl I didn't know you had it in you." Spike said playfully nudging her.

"Alright everyone it's time to let our lanterns fly." Gloriosa said as everyone got up.

As Twilight got up she saw Luke walk up to her. "Nice designs." Luke said holding up his to reveal drawings of slugs on it. "Look there's Burpy."

"Uh huh." Twilight said not really paying attention.

"Are you okay? You don't seem like yourself." Luke asks.

"Luke when you first found out about Equestria weren't…I don't know scared?" Twilight asks.

"Absolutely, but my dad always taught me that when you're most afraid is when you have to step up." Luke said walking to the docks.

"Step up?" Twilight said interested.

As Celestia lit her lantern the warm light caused Twilight to smile.

"Ready and go!" Gloriosa said as all of them lifted their lanterns into the sky, but when Pinkie and Sonata tried their lanterns hit the ground.

"Guess we put too much candy on them." Sonata said rubbing the back of her head.

"Oh well. Now we get to eat them." Pinkie said as the two of them broke off a piece and took a bite. "Mmm beautiful and delicious."

After the lanterns everyone was off to prepare for bed.

At the showers, Luke walks out in his pajamas.

"Ah just what the Slug doctor ordered." Luke sighs before walking to the lockers and grabbed his clothes.

Walking out he saw Rarity in her nightgown in front of the mirror scrubbing Dazzle with a brush.

"Come on Dazzle, don't you want to be pretty and sparkle?" Rarity asks as Dazzle smiles liking that.

"Well look at you, you're quite the slug groomer." Luke smiles walking over.

"Well the camp fashion show is coming up and with Dazzle's help it can really shine." Rarity smiles.

"So does that mean everything is ready?" Luke asks.

"Yes it is, if you would like I can make an outfit for you darling?" Rarity offers.

"Thanks but I'm good, fashion is your thing. I just wanna cheer you on." Luke said.

"You're the best." Rarity said as Dazzle hopped onto her shoulder. "Want me to show you what I have so far?"

"Sure." Luke said.

Leading him to the room, Luke saw all the outfits.

"Rarity you continue to amaze me with your work." Luke said putting his jacket down and the Destiny Rose fell out. "Oops."

"Thank you darling, but I can't help but feel something is missing." Rarity said examining one. "What do you think?"

"Maybe it just needs an accessory." Looking to Luke he stood up and held the Destiny Rose in front of her.

Eyes widening Rarity looks to Luke and then the flower. "Oh darling, you shouldn't have."

'Oh no not again.' Luke thought about to put it away when Rarity hugs him.

"Oh thank you darling I am beyond flattered." Rarity said.

"Rarity wait. I can't let use the Destiny Rose for the fashion show." Luke said getting her attention.

"Why not?" Rarity asks.

"Because…I uh am waiting for the right moment so I can give it away." Luke said.

Rarity looks at him and got her own idea. 'Luke doesn't want me to wear it out because he wants to give it to me himself in front of the whole camp.' Rarity put a hand to her heart. "Luke that's so romantic."

"I'm sorry." Luke said.

"You better hurry darling, camp is over soon." Rarity said giving him a hug and walking away.

Luke however was in a quite a jam. All the Rainbooms saw him with the Destiny Rose and he still had no idea who to give it to.

Walking out Luke enters his tent and groans laying down.

"You have been nothing but trouble since I found you." Luke said looking at the flower.

Hours later, long before the sun was even up Sunset was sound asleep when she heard a noise. "Huh?" Waking up she saw Twilight sneaking out of her tent. "Twilight?"

Getting up she saw Twilight and Spike making a run for it. "Twilight!"

Acting quickly Sunset grabbed her blaster and shoes before running after her.

"Twilight wait!" Sunset yells but Twilight wouldn't listen.

Loading an Arachnet slug Sunset fires it and the slug transformed before spinning a web stopping Twilight from running ahead.

Jumping back Twilight fumbles for her blaster but drops it. She was about to pick it up when Sunset puts her foot on top of it.

"Where do you think you're doing?" Sunset asks.

"We're... we're meeting a cab to take us home." Twilight admits as Sunset looks to Spike and Voltz.

"She thought either you or Luke would talk her out of it." Spike admits while Voltz nods.

"Because I would. Twilight this is getting ridiculous. You can't leave." Sunset touches her arm and suddenly her eyes glowed and saw memories of Twilight blaming herself for the loose magic.

"You don't think it was the spirit, do you?" Pinkie asks.

"No, it was me." Twilight said to herself.

"I think it's Midnight Sparkle. She's still part of me. I can feel it. And I think her magic is infecting my friends."

Zooming out, Sunset looked at her.

"Twilight, there's no Midnight Sparkle. There's only you." Sunset said.

"How did you know what I was thinking?" Twilight asks surprised.

"When I touched your hand, I could see things. I could understand why you were leaving." Sunset said before realizing what it was. "My new magic? This is my new magic! This is incredible!"

"No it's not! I'm infecting you now!" Twilight said.

"Twilight, you have to stop looking at this as a bad thing." Sunset said.

"Easy for you to say. Magic turned you into something beautiful. The last time I tried to use it, it turned me into a monster. I'm just so afraid it's gonna happen again." Twilight admits.

"Are you forgetting that Luke turned into a monster after you did? You don't see him thinking he might be cursed." Sunset reminds.

"Luke is different. He's a Shane, a family of Slug Slingers who can all stare danger in the face and take it head on. I'm not brave like you and him." Twilight said.

"Yes, last time I turned into something amazing, but I've let magic turn me into a monster, too along with Luke and Sonata. So if anyone understands what you're going through, it's us. We can help you, Twilight. And the rest of our friends can be there for you, too. But not if you run away. You're not just a Rainboom when you hold this blaster, you're a member of the Shane Gang too, and we look out for each other." Sunset said picking up her blaster.

Sighing Twilight took it back. "I'll stay. But I still don't think it's a good idea for me to be near the rest of our friends right now. Not until we know why this is happening."

"Understood." Sunset said when they heard a rustling in the bushes. "What was that?"

Suddenly they saw an axe and both girls screamed before Sunset loaded Torch in and aimed it at the axe causing it to scream.

"AAAGH! Don't shoot me!" Timber said coming out with his hands up.

"Timber? Wait what are you doing out here?" Twilight asks.

"And with an axe?" Sunset narrows her eyes lowering her blaster.

"I was chopping firewood." Timber said rolling out a cart of logs.

"In the middle of the night?" Sunset asks.

"We needed more for tomorrow night's campfire. And if I didn't take care of it tonight, it would be one more thing Gloriosa would add to her list. I've got this." Timber said mimicking his sister. "What about you two? Why are you out here?"

"I was sleepwalking. Twilight found me and was bringing me back to camp." Sunset said as Twilight nods.

"Come on. I'll walk you guys back. I'll protect you from Gaea Everfree." Timber said in a spooky tone.

"Come on. That's obviously just a spooky story you made up to tell around the campfire." Sunset smirks.

"Oh, no. It's legit. How else would you explain what happened at the docks? And that weird thing where the earth shook? Come on. I know a shortcut back to the tents." Timber said as Twilight followed him and some sparkles fell out of his pocket.

"Legit huh?" Sunset said as she, Spike and the slugs examined it. "I think we just found our Gaea Everfree."

"But why would he work so hard to make us think she was real?" Spike asks.

"The whole time we were here he would bring up how he'd wish his sister would sell this camp. If nobody wants to come here because it's home to some angry ancient nature spirit, it sure would help his cause." Sunset theorized.

"We should get Twilight and the other Shane Gang members." Spike said as the slugs nodded in agreement.

"Not yet. She's obviously going through a lot right now. We should probably be a hundred percent sure before we go in firing Slugs all over the place trying to bring in Timber like we did with Tempest." Sunset said.

"Good point." Spike said.

The next day at the docks, all the Rainbooms but Sunset and Twilight were working on the docks while Rarity was busy sewing.

Slowly Rainbow Dash walked across when she noticed Rarity.

"Are you gonna give us a hand Rarity?" Rainbow asks.

"Oh, I'd love to, but I really need to get the stitching on this poncho done if it's going to make it into the camp fashion show. Though at the pace you all are moving, I don't know that the runway will ever be finished." Rarity said.

"The dock." Sonata whispers.

"What?" Luke said.

"I said the dock." Sonata said a little louder.

"Why are you talking like Fluttershy?" Rainbow asks.

"I don't want my sound attacks to send you all flying." Sonata whispers.

"I think what Sonata is trying to say is the dock is our camp gift and it's gonna get finished. That is if Rainbow Dash will get me some more wood." Applejack said lightly tapping her hammer.

"I can't go any faster! I don't want to end up in the woods again." Rainbow said.

"Don't be silly." Applejack said.

"Oh yeah." Rainbow said mimicking her tapping.

"I know I said we should try to forget all about this new magic business, but I can't. What if I hammer the board into splinters?" Applejack asks.

Burpy and Luke's other slugs chirp saying they want to help.

"I don't know Burpy, last time I touched you I burst into flames what happens if I touch another one of you guys?" Luke asks.

"Aw shoot. I'm out of nails." Applejack said looking around.

"Oh here you go." Pinkie said tossing the container.

"Pinkie no!" Luke screams as Rarity made a shield of diamonds knocking Rainbow Dash and Flutterhsy to the ground, but luckily nothing happened.

"Oh thank goodness." Sonata breathed in relief.

"What? Ohhh, did you think the nails would explode like the sprinkles? Wow! Glad that didn't happen, huh?" Pinkie smiles.

"Sorry, girls. I didn't mean to. I don't know how to control this." Rarity said as the diamonds disappear.

"It's okay, none of us do." Fluttershy said.

"Which is why we shouldn't pretend this isn't happening." Sunset said walking over.

"You have powers now too?" Luke assumes.

"It started last night. When I touch people, it's like I can feel what they're feeling and see their memories." Sunset explains.

"Ooh fancy, try me! Try me!" Pinkie said as Sunset touches her.

Eyes glowing Sunset saw Pinkie bouncing on a bubble made by Suds through a colorful and wild candyland sort of place.

"La-la-la-la. Ooh taffy." Pinkie said pulling taffy off a creature and eating it before we zoomed out.

"That explains so much." Sunset said completely weirded out.

"Yup." Pinkie smiles.

"Guys. we can't just brush these powers aside because it doesn't seem like the ideal time to get them. What if it turns out that they could actually make things better?" Sunset said.

"But I don't know anything about magic." Luke shrugs.

"You taught us everything about your world now it's time for me to show you how it's done in my world." Sunset smiles.

When he loaded him into his blaster sharp spikes started to form around Luke's arms before he fired them into the sky and landing down in front of everyone as new support beams.

(What's standing in your way That you can't move today?) While everyone struggled to lift one needle beam Applejack picked one up with ease thanks to her super strength.

(You've got the strength in you To make your dreams come true) As Sonata stared down a bunch of clutter that made it difficult to get their supplies she took a deep breath and released a small sound wave that gently knocked everything away so she could grab the tools and walk over to Rarity.

(No need to shield yourself From the magic that can help Protect from any harm that might come) As Rarity was working on a birdhouse she saw Derpy wobbling in a boat about to fall over. Acting quickly she threw a diamond across the water saving Derpy just before she fell in.

When everything was finished the dock looked better than ever.

"Okay that was pretty awesome." Rainbow said.

"And look at what you've managed to accomplish." Sunset said.

"I gotta admit, no Shane before me has ever been able to do something like this." Luke smiles picking up Burpy and both Burpy and his hands grew flames but this time they didn't burn him.

"Please, please, please can we do a run-through for the fashion show on it right this minute?" Rarity asks.

"Thought you weren't finished with the stitching on your poncho." Applejack said.

"I am now." Rarity smiles.

"Get started without me. I've gotta go find Twilight. Seeing what we've been able to do here might make her embrace the new magic, too. Uh not that she has any." Sunset said running off.

"Twilight has powers, too doesn't she?" Sonata asks.

"Oh yeah." They all nodded in agreement.

As Sunset went to find Twilight she passed by Gloriosa's office.

"I just wish you didn't tell them that ridiculous story!" Gloriosa snaps.

"This is all too much for you! You have to let it go!" Timber said as Sunset made her way towards the door.

"I knew it. He is trying to get her to sell the camp." Sunset said when the door swings open hitting her while Gloriosa and Timber stormed out.

Shaking it off, Sunset looked to Torch. "Yeah time to go full Slinger on this." Grabbing her blaster and slug belt Sunset chased after Timber.

Entering the forest, Sunset saw Timber running ahead.

"He is definitely up to something." Sunset said when she felt a rumble.

Looking around she saw a faint glow coming from the rock quarry and a figure walking into it. Narrowing her eyes Sunset took out her phone.

At their tent, Twilight was reading when her phone vibrated.

"It's Sunset. She says to meet her by the rock quarry." Twilight read.

"I thought we weren't supposed to hike out that far." Spike reminds.

"She says it's important." Twilight said before looking to Volts and grabbed him, her blaster and slug belt. "Just in case."

Running to the Rock Quarry, Twilight looked around when Sunset waved to her and she saw the magic.

"What's going on?" Twilight asks.

"I think it's Gaea Everfree. Or rather, someone who wants us to think it's her. Come on." Sunset said as they snuck through the gap in the boulders.

Entering the cave they saw beautiful crystals shining everywhere.

"This place is beautiful." Twilight smiles.

"There's Equestrian magic here. I can... I can feel it." Sunset said.

"Wait. I thought Timber was just faking there was a magical nature creature. Are you saying it's real?" Spike asks confusing Twilight.

"Timber? What does he have to do with any of this?" Twilight asks.

"Nothing." Gloriosa said emerging from the shadows. "It's all me."

"Gloriosa? But...Timber. I was sure he was the one trying to make it seem like Gaea Everfree was back. It was you who was trying to scare everyone away?" Sunset asks confused.

"I would never try to scare anyone away from Camp Everfree." Gloriosa said walking by and Sunset grabbed her arm causing her eyes to glow and she saw Gloriosa and Filthy Rich.

"My, oh, my. You fell behind on your payments, Gloriosa. I own the land now." Filthy smirks.

"Please. My great grandparents founded this place. It's been in our family for generations! You have to let the camp stay!" Gloriosa begs.

"Instead of turning it into a spa resort that will line my pockets with more money than this camp ever could? I don't think so." He chuckles.

"Please! I just need a little more time." Gloriosa said with tears in her eyes.

"Fine, I'll give you until the end of the month." Filthy Rich said leaving.

We then found Gloriosa crying in the woods. "What do I do?" Gloriosa sobs when she saw something glowing in the air. "Huh?"

Looking up she saw it heading towards the Rock Quarry.

"Wow." As Gloriosa walks inside she saw a bright light coming from 9 beautiful crystals. Reaching out to touch them a bright light engulfs her and knocks her back.

But just before impact 4 of the crystals glowed allowing some branches to catch her.

At the camp, Timber and Gloriosa were talking and the crystals were now around her neck.

"You don't know what those things are." Timber said.

"But I know what they can do. I've been practicing! I can control their power now." Gloriosa said controlling the plants around them.

"You don't know that for sure." Timber said concerned.

"This is our camp, and it's being taken away! If this has to be our last week here, I'm going to use whatever it takes to make it count." Gloriosa growls determined.

During the week, Gloriosa saw Derpy and Sandalwood floating in the lake with no wind. Using her powers some branches gave their boat a push but they ended up crashing into the docks.

Next showed Trixie and Jigsaw about to go fishing but the river was dried up.

Looking around Gloriosa saw dammed-up boulders nearby. Using her powers she moved the boulders and the river came back.

Then we find Timber and Gloriosa talking before Sunset found them.

"You were using magic all over the place! I had to tell them something to cover for you! What did you want me to do?" Timber asks.

"I just wish you didn't tell them that ridiculous story!" Gloriosa snaps.

"This is too much for you! You have to let it go." Timber begs.

"Timber wasn't talking about letting go of the camp. He was talking about you letting go of the magical geodes. All those things you were doing to make this week the best week ever. Every time you used magic to do them, you caused another problem somewhere else! Timber was covering for you." Sunset realized.

"How do you know what I was doing with the geodes? How do you know about the magic?" Gloriosa asks.

"I can see things. Feel things. Because I have magic, too. And so does Twilight. And so do our friends." Sunset said.

"Gloriosa, Timber wasn't wrong. Maybe you should stop using magic. Too much of it can be dangerous if you can't control it." Twilight warns.

"Oh I got this. And I'm going to use it to save my camp. I just need more power." Gloriosa said grabbing the remaning 5 geodes.

"No!" Both girls scream when Gloriosa tangles them both up in vines.

Grabbing them the 9 geodes glow brightly turning Gloriosa into Gaea Gloriosa.

"Sorry, girls. I know what I need to do. But I feel like we're not on the same page. So…" Gaea Gloriosa moves her hands as she left sealing them inside.

"Gloriosa no!" They both scream but they were trapped.

At the camp, the girls were getting ready and Luke sat down in the front row.

"Listen girls, I just want to say after camp nothing will change between us when Luke and I become a couple." Rarity said stopping them in their tracks.

"Excuse me?" Applejack asks.

"I'm sorry but well…last night. Luke came to me with the Destiny Rose. I'm his soulmate." Rarity squeals.

"Wait what?" Pinkie asks.

"Uh no you're not." Sonata glares.

"Yeah Luke came to me with the rose after our morning nature walk." Fluttershy said.

"He was going to give it to me. He just had to do some big fancy Shane ceremony before then." Applejack said.

"Please, Applejack, Luke was gonna give that rose to me." Rainbow said.

"In your dreams!" Sonata glares getting in her face.

"More like in your dreams!" Pinkie glares.

"Alright how about this, we all go to Luke and see who he gives the rose too?" Applejack glares.

"Fine." All of them growl when suddenly they heard a record scratch.

"Why did you stop then music—OH my goodness!" Rarity gasps as everyone saw Gaea Gloriosa enter camp.

Attention campers!" She declares.

"It's Gaea Everfree!" Trixie gasps.

"She's real?!" Flash gasps.

"We're doomed!" Bulk Biceps screams.

"Gloriosa?! What are you doing?!" Timber gasps.

"That's Gloriosa?" Luke asks standing up.

"Am I goin' crazy, or are her feet not touchin' the ground?" Applejack asks.

"Freaky." Sonata gulps.

"Freaky deaky." Pinkie adds.

"I have an announcement to make! Filthy Rich wants this to be the last session of Camp Everfree. But don't worry, I GOT THIS!" Gaea Gloriosa slams her hands into the ground creating a giant bristle dome around them destroying the dock.

"Oh come on! We literally just finished building that thing!" Rainbow snaps.

"Why do these things always happen to us?" Fluttershy asks as Luke ran over and handed them their blasters.

"Because we're the only ones who can stop it." Luke said.

"Darling after this we all need to sit down and have a talk with you." Rarity said.

"Deal." Luke said as they all put on their slug belts and readied their blasters. "Shane Gang, let's move out!"

"Yeah!" All of them cheered.

"Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy! This is gonna be so much fun! I only wish we had time to make superhero capes!" Pinkie said excitedly.

"Me too." Rarity said.

"That sounds awesome." Sonata smiles.

"Enough about our wardrobe! We've got to stop Gloriosa from trapping everybody in here!" Rainbow said.

"Let's go!" Luke said loading a Thresher Slug into his blaster and when he did Luke glowed bright as he ponyed up and spinning chainsaws came out of the end of his wrist blasters. "I can work with this."

Firing Racer, Rainbow Dash ponyed up as they raced in and started ricocheting off the branches getting campers to safety.

As the totem pole wiggled loose it was about to crush people when Rarity ponyed up and made a diamond barrier to save them before Sonata led them away.

Suddenly more branches shot up towards them. "You might wanna cover your ears." Sonata warns as she ponyed up. Taking a deep breath Sonata screams at the top of her lungs destroying the branches.

Running to Fluttershy, she knocks on the ground and some gophers popped up.

"Um, hi. Do you think you can give us a hand um, er, paw? We could really use a way out." Fluttershy asks as she ponies up.

Ponying up Applejack lifts a giant boulder with one hand and throws it before holding out a Grenuke slug. "Pinkie Pie!"

Pinkie Pie looks over to see Applejack toss her the Grenuke. "Ooh Luke never let me use one of these."

Ponying up Pinkie fires the Grenuke and the sprinkles causing multiple explosions to go off all over the barrier.

"And I'm starting to realize he was right not to give you one." Applejack cringed as they tried to get away, but right before they could escape they were sealed up.

"What is going on?" Gaea Gloriosa asks when a Thresher slug was fired at her.

Looking over she saw Burpy hop into Luke's blasters lighting his chainsaws on fire and drop down hooked to flaming lines. "Sorry Gloriosa but camp has to end."

"NEVER!" Gaea Gloriosa snaps firing large vines at Luke who slices them in half with his flaming chainsaws.

Throwing them at Gaea Gloriosa she swings her vines at them as both of them try to knock the other backs sending small sparks and chunks of branches flying everywhere.

"This isn't working, her magic is too strong!" Applejack said as they struggled to protect everyone and fight off the branches.

At the quarry, Spike, Voltz and Torch broke Sunset and Twilight free.

"Nice work guys." Sunset smiles before turning to the rocks. Loading a Rammstone into it Sunset fires but when it punched the rock it barely made a dent. "Twilight you need to use your magic, the slugs alone aren't enough."

"I don't think I can lift something that big." Twilight said.

"You have to try, for our friends." Sunset said.

Twilight looks to Spike and takes a deep breath before holding out her hands as she glows purple but as she tried an area above her head started to glow until she pulled the boulder out of the way.

Panting heavily, Twilight looked to see there was no time to rest.

Back at Camp, Gaea Gloriosa knocked Luke to the ground making his flaming chainsaws disappear.

Roaring she thrusts a vine at him, acting quickly Luke rolled out of the way and loaded Frost into his blaster causing him to glow blue and when fired both slug and slinger fired ice trapped Gaea Gloriosa in a dome.

"Phew." Luke smiles when suddenly the ice started to crack and Gaea Gloriosa broke free.

"Why are you fighting me?! I'm doing this to save our camp! I'm doing this for you!" Gaea Gloriosa points.

"Gloriosa, let's just think about this for a moment, shall we? I mean, I think Camp Everfree is absolutely delightful, but I just don't know that I'm quite ready to give up my weekly trips to the spa." Rarity said nervously.

"To the spa?" She asks with a mad smile on her face. "TO THE SPA?!" She snaps causing branches to shoot out.

"Rarity I don't think Gloriosa is a fan of spas!" Sonata panics.

"Ya think!" Applejack said as they all reached for their slugs when Gaea Gloriosa knocks them all to the ground.

"Gloriosa, this isn't the way!" Timber said running out.

"I appreciate the concern Timber, but I got this!" Gaea Gloriosa growls continuing her attack and vines even reached out and grabbed Timber.

"No! You don't!" Timber yells.

Outside the dome, Sunset and Twilight try to get in but can't.

"Twilight, do you think you can use your magic?" Sunset asks.

"I don't want to use too much. Midnight Sparkle could take over." Twilight said when Sunset grabs her hands causing her to glow allowing Sunset to pony up.

"Twilight, our friends are in there!" Sunset begs.

"Okay." Twilight said as her hands glowed and she started to part the branches.

"Please, Gloriosa! What you're doing is crazy! You have to listen to me!" Timber begs.

"That isn't Gloriosa." Sunset said as she and Twilight walked in through an opening.'

"Twilight!" Sonata smiles.

"Sunset!" Luke smiles.

"You're okay." Rainbow smiles.

"That isn't your sister. It's someone who's been consumed by Equestrian magic." Sunset said as Timber looked up to see Gaea Gloriosa surrounding herself in branches.

"Whoever you are, you have to let my sister go! Please, Gloriosa, come back! I need you!" Timber begs when the branches cover up her and him. "Gloriosa!"

As the plants got out on control, Luke and the Rainbooms ran to Sunset and Twilight.

"Rarity! Luke!" Applejack said as Rarity made a diamond dome around them to protect them.

"Crystal!" Luke said as the Geoshard hops out and Luke catches the slug allowing green crystals to grown from his hand flicking his hand he added an extra layer to Rarity's dome.

"We can't hold this forever." Rarity winced.

"It's up to you, you can pull these bramples apart." Sunset said.

"No I can't. There's too many of them it would take too much magic. I can't." Twilight said.

"It's the only way. You have to embrace your powers." Sunset said.

"But what if they get out on control? What if instead of saving I hurt everyone I turn into Midnight Sparkle again?" Twilight asks.

"Then we'll kick her butt again." Luke said getting her attention.

"What?" Twilight said.

"Twilight you forget one thing. Some of us have been on the wrong side already not just you. Sonata, Sunset even me. We let the magic control us too and like you were scared of what we could be, but we were able to overcome because we knew that we had friends to help us. And so do." Luke smiles.

Twilight looks to all her friends and slugs before taking a deep breath.

As she concentrated Rarity's dome started to crack.

"Come on Twilight, be strong." Sunset said.

In Twilight's mind she saw Midnight Sparkle.

"You will never control me! I will always be a part of you!" Midnight Sparkle declares as her green magic engulfed Twilight.

"No!" Twilight screams in fear.

"Twilight! Listen to me! You are in charge!" Sunset said as her spirit and all the others appeared around her.

"You are a light darling. A force for good." Rarity said.

"Yeah you can kick the darkness's butt!" Rainbow Dash said.

"We're here for you Twilight!" Pinkie Pie said.

"No matter what!" Applejack said.

"We believe in you!" Fluttershy said.

"And we always will!" Sonata said.

Twilight turns to see Luke looking at her. "You are not Midnight Sparkle."

"No…I am Twilight Sparkle! And the power inside of me is the Magic of Friendship!" Twilight declares breaking free of the spell.

Shooting out of the dome, Twilight unraveled the branches hiding Gaea Gloriosa.

"No stop!" Gaea Gloriosa said as Twilight took her geodes and all 9 of them floated down towards the Shane Gang.

"Ladies, you thinking what I'm thinking?" Luke grins.

All of them smile as they each grabbed one causing each one of them to transform.

Each one of them got their Pony Up forms but they also had unique features.

Rainbow Dash's wings took the shape of blue crystals and her outfit shine, red, orange and blue in her hand, a blue and yellow slug blaster with a lighting bolt logo appeared.

Sonata's wings turned to red crystals and her outfit shined purple and dark blue outfit. In her hand, a purple and cyan blaster with music notes appeared.

Pinkie Pie's outfit turned yellow, purple and pink. In her hand, a pink and light blue blaster with balloons on it appeared.

Applejack's outfit turned teal and yellow as two brown gloves appeared on her hands and gold cowgirl boots appeared. In her hand, an orange and yellow blaster with apples appeared.

Fluttershy's outfit turned light green and sky blue as her wings turned to green crystals. In her hand, a light green, yellow and pink blaster appeared with butterflies on it.

Rarity's outfit turned blue and purple with tons of sparkles. In her hands appeared a purple and blue blaster with diamonds on it.

Sunset's outfit turned red and yellow with crystal shoulder guards. In her hands, a red and gold blaster with a flame logo appeared.

Twilight's outfit shined as pink shades appeared over her face, her wings turned to light blue crystals and her outfit shined blue, purple and pink. In her hand appeared a purple and pink blaster with a star on it.

Finally, Luke's outfit turned gold, orange and black as leather fingerless gloves appeared on his hands and his wrist blasters changed shape. On his arms his blasters became orange and gold with the Shane Logo on them and blue lines running down them.

Gaea Gloriosa looks in shock as they all aimed their blasters to the sky and loaded in Burpy, Torch, Dazzle, Pieper, Volts, Shield, Knuckles, Suds and Racer into them and all the slingers glowed brightly.

Holding their blasters up all of them fired.

When all 9 slugs transform a bright rainbow engulfs them as they spin together creating a giant burst of light they obliterated all the plants.

When the light died down the camp was no longer trapped and everyone was regaining consciousness.

As Timber woke up he saw Gloriosa had turned to normal and was laying on the ground.

"Gloriosa?" Timber asks as she slowly woke up.

"Wha? What happened?" She asks.

"It's okay it's gonna be alright." Timber smiles.

As everyone came out they cheered with joy as Spike ran to Twilight.

"You did it! Whoa nice bling." Spike said noticing all of them had new necklaces from the geodes.

"Whoa what are these?" Applejack asks.

"Whatever they are we have some kind of connection with them." Sunset said.

"I almost don't care. They are gorgeous! They totally go with what I had planned for the Camp Fashion Show." Rarity said as everyone looks at her. "Which is probably canceled now." She sighs.

"Afraid so." Sonata nods.

Soon everyone was working together to clean up the mess caused by the battle.

"I am so sorry. I only wanted this to be the best week Camp Everfree has ever had, and instead, I've made it the worst. Maybe it's for the best that I'm losing the camp to Filthy Rich." Gloriosa sighs.

"No. It's not. This camp has meant so much to so many people, my sister and me included." Celestia said.

"Why do you think we wanted our students to come here?" Luna asks.

"Yeah my family has been coming here for generations because it means that much to us." Luke said walking over.

"We can't let Filthy Rich take this place away! If camp meant so much to you two, maybe it meant as much to the other campers who came here in years past." Twilight said.

"And maybe a few would be willing to help save it." Sunset caught on.

"Like a fundraiser." Applejack said.

"Or a ball!" Rarity smiles.

"Our band could play!" Rainbow Dash said.

"We can set up a huge food table full of tasty snacks." Sonata said.

"I could help write a new song just for the occasion!" Fluttershy said as all the students agreed.

"Those are all good ideas but where would we hold it?" Gloriosa asks.

"In the crystal cave." Sunset said.

"Ooh a crystal ball! I love it!" Rarity said.

"I admire everyone's enthusiasm. Really, I do. But I-I just don't know how we're going to plan a ball by tomorrow and invite everyone." Gloriosa said.

"We got this!" The Rainbooms said.

As Luke made his way towards the Crystal Cave he readied his blasters and loaded in Dozer and a Rammstone. "Ready guys?" Luke asks as both slugs grinned and Luke absorbed their abilities causing both his fists to glow.

Firing both slugs they flew towards the large boulder and caused it to crack before Luke leaped in and with two powerful punches shattered the boulder.

Using their powers, Twilight made tons of invites and Rainbow used her super speed to deliver them all.

Applejack used her strength to clear all the rocks.

Fluttershy had the animals help Sunset and Rarity decorate.

And Pinkie Pie and Sonata got to work making the tastiest buffet you ever saw.

Soon the fundraiser was a huge success, everyone was coming over to celebrate and donate money for the camp. Up on stage as Luke and Rainbooms were finishing their song Gloriosa walks up on stage.

"Thank you all so much for coming. And for helping us to raise enough money to…save Camp Everfree!" Gloriosa declares causing everyone except Filthy Rich to cheer. "Thank you all so much for all your help. If only I had asked for help in the first place."

"Don't sweat it. It's kinda what we do." Rainbow shrugs.

"Well thank you all so much." Gloriossa said.

"Boy this has been a pretty cool week." Luke said as they walked away.

"You know what else is cool? Our new superpowers. I handed out like 400 flyers, set up the stage and had time to pick up pizza. I love my super speed!" Rainbow smiles.

"About that. I think the crystals are the source of the superpowers." Sunset said.

"You're not gonna ask us to give them back are you?" Sonata asks.

"No way, in fact I think we were meant to have them all along." Sunset said.

"Like it was our destiny to have these." Twilight said.

"Destiny huh?" Luke takes out his Destiny Rose. "Girls can we talk?"

Leading them out front, Luke holds out the rose.

"Girls I've been trying to figure this out the whole time at camp and I bet you want to find out who this goes to but I have something I want to say you girls are…amazing. You're all incredible and I love having each and every one of you in my life. Fluttershy, you're so kind and sensitive, but you're also dependable when we need you the most. I love how caring you and how you make slugs even a dark eel to listen to you. Rainbow Dash, you radiate awesomeness and are hands down one of the coolest girls I've ever met. I know I can always count on you to have my back. Rarity, you are an angel. You're helpful, generous and you always go out of your way to make sure the rest of us are taken care of. Applejack, you are so brave and loving. You will never back down to those who might hurt us. You care about others so much and honestly that's what makes you so strong and amazing. Pinkie Pie, what can I say about you? You're a big bouncy ball of smiles and laughter. You always know how to find the bright side in things and you never let anything bring you down. Twilight, you are so smart and I love the way you always figure out a plan to help us, but what I love even more is that even when you're afraid of the future you always make sure we have a present to enjoy. Sonata, you are such a pleasure to be around, you help us break out of our comfort zones and be better versions of ourselves. And finally Sunset, you are single handily the most amazing girl I ever met, if I was in Equestria and you were still there I would have totally gone out with you, but I'm glad you did leave. You are stubborn and never afraid to speak your mind. You girls are more than just my fellow Rainbooms or Shane Gang members. You girls are the best thing to ever happen to me and I love you all so much." Luke confesses causing them to smile and tear up.

"Oh darling." Rarity smiles.

"Isn't that the sweetest thing you ever heard?" Fluttershy asks looking to Rainbow who sniffles.

"I-I just have something in my eye." Rainbow said rubbing her face.

"Listen, I know this isn't really a Shane tradition but lately I've been doing things very differently." Luke pulled a petal off the rose and gave each of the girls one. "During all this I realized it…you girls are my soulmates. All of you."

Beyond touched by this each of the girls kissed Luke on the lips.

"Looks like we have another picture for our wall." Timber said surprising them.

"Huh?" They said as Gloriosa came over with a camera.

"The next photo for the Wall of Shanes. Everone get together." Gloriosa said.

Smiling Luke and the girls held up their petals and got in close as Gloriosa took the picture before walking away.

"There's just one thing that's bugging me." Sunset said.

"What?" Luke asks.

"Where did the magic that hit this cave come from?" Sunset asks.

"Who knows." Luke said.

"We'll figure it out but in meantime. What do you say we all finish this night of right?" Sonata suggests.

"Sounds good to me." Twilight said grabbing Luke's arm and they all ran off to the camp.

'8 girlfriends…I am never forgetting this trip.' Luke thought.

Little did any of them know, back at Canterlot High. At the Wondercolt's statue from the cracks where the horse statue was little bits of magic started to slip through the cracks.

On the final day of camp, the Rainbooms were at the now finished dock.

"Well third time's the charm." Rainbow said.

"Or is this the 5th time? I've lost track." Sonata asks.

"What matters is it's done." Luke said.

"The run way is finished." Rarity said.

"You mean dock." Applejack corrects.

"Oh whatever." Rarity said.

"Let's celebrate!" Pinkie said throwing confetti and marshmallows up but when they landed on the docks it exploded destroying the dock again.

"OH COME ON!" Luke and Sunset whine as they all fall backwards.
