"There she is!"

"OMG! Did her shorts get shorter!?"

"Check out that ass!"

"Yeah! Look at it go!"

The girls of Woodsboro were having a fun time watching Deputy Riley out on her morning jog; the good officer was nice enough to change her route, making sure she ran in the busiest neighborhoods, especially the more uptight and Conservative. Everyone in town was talking more about what had gotten into Tatum Riley than the actual attack on Tara Carpenter.

Tatum wasn't only working on her wardrobe she was also looking into the case, figuring out suspects; though if it was Woodsboro everyone was a suspect. She found time to read some fanfiction, she found HufflepuffWarrior, she went from her very first post from a couple years back, mainly standard Harry Potter fanfiction, nothing out of the ordinary but then things took a smutty turn. Sarah started focusing more on pairing characters, Ron/Luna, Harry/Bellatrix then she went onto femslash, Bellatrix/Hermione, which was ridiculously popular, Hermione/Ginny, Hermione/Luna, Hermione/Luna/Ginny/Bellatrix; the last one made her blush. She went on a mad writing spree for a while pairing characters from different fandoms, some were older/younger pairings but not too explicit. But then nothing, she hadn't updated anything in months, maybe she got bored and moved on, it happened but she probably still others' work. She typed a few reviews but felt dumb because maybe that wasn't the smartest thing to do when she was in the middle of an investigation. She checked out the WoodsboroNightOwl, no new updates, they'd been very frequent and seeing that someone in town was attacked you'd think they would be all over that.

Tatum could hear the voices and giggles of teenage girls behind her, she looked back and saw their faces sticking out from behind a bush, she smiled and winked at them. They all freaked and hid their faces in the bush, shaking it, Tatum laughed and continued her jog; she'd seen the statistics recently about the suburbs, all of the parents and Woodsboro were in shock to find how many of their daughters were curious about older women. Weird porn search history wasn't a new thing especially in more religious, white collar communities, anyone pressured not to look at it is eventually going to and it's going to say a lot about them. When Tatum was in high school she would never look that stuff up, she did hear girls always talk about being curious about what it would be like with another woman though but probably never acted on it, more just a fantasy, after all what would people think, right? But everything was changing, she wouldn't be too shocked if girls dating cougars became the norm.

"You, guys! She totally saw us!"

"Suspect?"

"Yes, we can't take any chances. We have to find out who WoodsboroNightHawk is."

"NightOwl, sir."

"Whatever," said the chief, "And put some pants on, Riley!" Tatum looked down at her cut offs and smirked, "We've gotten more than a dozen complaints about you."

Tatum lifted an eyebrow, "Oh, really? That all?"

He had his glasses on, that's how you knew he meant business, these almost professor looking specs while he did paperwork, next to him was a prescription bottle, might've been heart pills, no doubt his wife caught wind of what was going on and didn't want him having a sudden attack because some hussie was walking around the station letting it all hang out.

Something was bugging Tatum though, she thought he might take her claims seriously.

"What if Tara is the WoodsboroNightOwl? Maybe whoever is after her doesn't like what she's writing."

"Well we won't know anything for another day, get a proper statement but I doubt it's her."

"Why?"

He tried to look her in the eye, "Tara wouldn't be writing that junk."

Tatum knew he was good friends with Tara's father, at least when he was around, he'd left their mother years ago; he must have felt some obligation to protecting the family name or at least his young daughter.

"You'd be surprised what girls write about, chief."

He put his report aside and looked Tatum over, "In my day, no one wrote this kind of filth. No one was obsessed with horror movies or the kind of pornography going around these days."

"Well, Chief, times are changing," she put on her shades and moved out the door, making sure he got a good view of her backside as she swayed; she swore she could hear him reach for the pill bottle.

The girls crept around Tatum Riley's house, poking through her mail box, peeking in windows, they tried to find a door open.

"Honestly you guys, Tara is in the hospital and you're all still talking about Tatum Riley," said Becca, starting to feel stupid.

"She's right," said Amber, "We should see if we're allowed to visit her yet."

"But what if we get to see something good?" Judy asked, determined to pick the backdoor lock.

Kimberly rolled her eyes, "Not going to lie I am kind of curious but I'm jumping that fence if I see her pull in."

All of the girls tensed up when they heard a knock at the front door, could be just Amazon delivery or something, or at least that's what they thought but then a second knock.

"No way," said Amber.

They convinced Kimberly to sneak to the front and see who it was, she was nervous, she was too afraid it might be someone she knew or someone her parents knew, they would for sure blab on her for snooping around the Bimbo cop's house.

"Hurry up!" Shelly hissed, pushing her friend forward.

Kimberly crouched down and almost came to a crawl when she reached the corner, there she saw Sarah, she was sitting on the doorstep listening to her IPod.

"What's that bitch doing here?" Amber groaned when Kimberly came back to deliver the news.

"Who cares, let's just get out of here," said Kimberly, finished with their games.

"Not so fast," said Shelly, "I still want to see something."

"Like what? Watch her shower?" Becca asked, annoyed.

All of the girls stopped to think if that was what they all wanted, they all caught themselves imagining how good that might be watching the older woman soap up that soft body of hers.

"Why would that skank be here?" Shelly scoffed.

"Think she's into her?" Judy pondered.

"Sarah? Isn't she supposed to be like asexual or something?" Becca heard rumors about Sarah being weird, at least from what Tara told her.

"Sh! I hear something!" Amber alerted them all to crouch down, they could hear presumably Tatum driving into the driveway.

"Yo, HufflePuff!"

Sarah took her earbuds out, "Tatum, hey!"

"What you listening to?"

Sarah shrugged, "Er, something indie."

"Wanna come inside?"

Sarah was taken aback a little, "Can I?"

"Yeah, why not? I never have company."

Tatum made them some tea, Sarah didn't really know what to expect the inside of a police officer's house to look like, no bulletin boards with newspaper clippings with red thread anywhere.

Tatum got out of her uniform fast, shower could wait, just some blue jeans and a wife beater was all she needed right now, "So, you have some things you want to get off your chest?"

Sarah watched Tatum pour the tea from the kettle into her flowery cup, she bit her lip and nodded, "I..."

Tatum touched her hand, it was just cold planted there on the table, "Hey, anything can help," she met those cool blue eyes, they seemed almost tragic to look at.

Sarah took a deep breath, "I used to be friends with Tara. We used to write together but then she started spreading rumors about me. I'm not sure why. Well, I have an idea but well I think whoever did this it has something to do with what she wrote."

"What she wrote?" She continued gazing into those eyes, "Tara also writes fanfiction, I had an idea. What's her handle?"

Sarah shrugged, "She deleted everything but her name used to be UnicornRainbow666."

"Neat?"

"She got some really awful reviews on her work. She used to get constructive criticism, it really helped with her writing but then she got this stalker, or at least that's what I thought. Reviews telling her she should kill herself for what she wrote, they started threatening to expose her to her family and friends. She tried blocking them but it didn't do any good."

"Do you remember what they called themselves?"

"I think it was GreenHushPuppies420? I dunno something ridiculous."

"Well I mean it's the internet, people can be monsters, I don't see how..."

"But it was someone from Woodsboro! I know it!"

"Well if her whole account is deleted there's no way of knowing that, right?"

Sarah thought it over, "She could have archived it or something. I know I did screenshots of some of what they said somewhere, I can find out if that other account is still active?"

Tatum caressed her shoulder, "You're a good friend, Sarah," she said with a sigh, "I just don't think that's going to get us anywhere."

Sarah bowed her head, it donning on her that her wild assumptions wouldn't really lead to anything.

Tatum got an alert on her phone, "Shit."

"What is it?"

"Well, bad new is I have to go back to work. Good news is Tara just woke up."

Sarah sprung up out of her chair, "This is huge!"

"Well wait, Sarah, I don't think you'll be able to go in."

"I know but...well can I still come?"

Tatum couldn't say no to that face, "Ok. Fine. But I'm really going to cover for someone for a bit watching the hospital, I'm not in charge of questions or anything."

Once they were gone, outside, the girls pressed their faces against the windows and back door.

"Did you see the way Tatum looked at her?" Judy asked, shocked more at what she saw than heard.

"She kept touching her. Is something going on?" Becca said, frantically looking to the others for confirmation.

"The way she touched her back when they were walking out, that was weird," said Amber, weirded out.

"Ok, so are we doing this?" Kimberly asked, thinking she was going to regret the plan they made while Sarah and Tatum gabbed.

"NOW!" Amber exclaimed.

The girls burst through the door and ran up to Tatum's bedroom. No one wanted to call it a panty raid, they preferred to think of it as taking maybe a handful of panties or bras and sneaking out without Tatum being non the wiser; some of them wondered what their boyfriends would think about this.

On the car ride over, Sarah teased Tatum about her new found fame.

"Soon parents are going to be locking up their daughters."

"Huh?" Tatum asked, maybe the first time oblivious to her female following.

Sarah laughed, "I mean you know all of the girls in Woodsboro are curious about older women, right? It's like a new fad."

Tatum thought this over, "I mean I know about the internet history in town but I never thought..."

In some ways she wanted to believe it was just the girls finding her to be kind of a role model not viewing her in a sexual way.

"Damn. I guess I'll never be a detective some day," she sneered.

"So you're not interested in women?" Sarah asked, scratching her head, maybe it was a dumb question to ask right then.

Tatum shrugged, "I mean...I haven't really dated in a long time."

Sarah forgot about the boy she dated in high school, one of the ones to start the whole Ghostface scare, but she didn't know the real story, all she knew was the Stab movies.

"Are you?" Tatum asked her, looking out the corner of her eye.

Sarah felt her cheeks burning, "I mean I don't know I haven't really dated before."

Tatum smiled, "I think your best bet is to date someone when you get out of this town."

Sarah wanted ask Tatum more about her, why she chose to stay in Woodsboro, how mad she was about getting killed off in the first Stab or any of what happened since her time in high school but there was just no time now they were approaching the hospital. Sarah stayed in the waiting room while Tatum went to find the scoop from the Chief.

Tatum met the man she almost saw as a father figure come charging out of Tara's room blubbering like a baby, Deputy Hoss told Tatum before she went in that Tara was fairly stable, he was probably in shock since he'd known her since she was very young. Tatum thought Hoss would handle the questions but looked like it was up to her.

Tatum strolled in again forgetting what she was wearing, Tara was out of it from the medication so everything was fuzzy, seeing what looked like a stripper dressed as a cop defiantly stuck out.

"...Bimbo Cop?"

"Uh, hi, Tara it's Deputy Riley," Tatum cleared her throat.

Sarah spent almost an hour in the waiting room, she listened into a lot of people's gossiping around her when she was pretending to listen to her IPod. It seemed like about 65% of the room was talking about Tatum, 25% about whatever they were there for and 10% about Tara. She heard bits and pieces about what people said happened or how hurt she was, some saying it wasn't as bad others worse or it was all a hoax and not really another Ghostface. Sarah knew that could be the case since Tara so far seems to be the only target, no one else had been attacked yet. She thought about what she'd say if she got to talk to her. Would she forgive her? Tell her it was fine, they were different then? It wasn't her fault she wanted to start hanging out with other people, she just didn't fit in? She was over thinking again but then again maybe not.

Tatum came out into the waiting room. Now 100% of the waiting room was only thinking about her right now. Well 99.9%

"She had a lot to say," Tatum saw the look on Sarah's face, she got closer to her, "Sarah, what is it, what's wrong?"

"I think I know who did it."
