In the parallel universe of this fanfiction, Sadera and its neighbours are about 2000 years more advanced than their canon counterparts.

I wanted to explain what changed geopolitically in Falmart and what the main players of the continent that will probably appear in the story are now.

International Organizations:

The Falmartian Union: An economical union between nations located in the Falmartian continent and sharing western-liberal values

The Blue Sea Pact: An international military alliance between Western-Liberal nations located close to the Blue Sea.

The Falmart Union Nations:

These nation share the same base Western Falmartian culture, modern western liberal values and are all first world countries located in Continental Falmart. They are inhabited by basically every sentient species of the world in various percentages, even though humans and human-like species such as catfolk, bunnyfolk, elves and such are the majority.

The Saderan Imperial State:

Sadera only started developing its own national identity after the dissolution of The Empire of old, its a typical liberal western country, with a Constitutional Monarchy, a Senate and a House of the Plebes.

Every sentient citizen is considered equal, and specism is very socially unaccepted

It unified very early, and many consider Sadera the true descendant to the Imperials of old, even though some Formalians may disagree.

The modern Saderan language is quite similar to the ancient Imperial language.

The only "Imperial" thing it has left its the name, as Sadera is roughly as big as a medium sized nation-state and everyone living inside the nation shares the same cultural and national identity.

The Kingdom of Formalia

After the beginning of the end of The Empire, most of the Imperial politicians and high ranking officers emigrated to the city of Italica over the decades, and the centuries.

Italica was under the rule of the Formal Dynasty for so long, the term "Formalian" became the geographical term for all the region and the culture even after the Formals stopped existing.

Eventually, the Imperials at the court of Italica were so many that the culture of Italica started to become similar to the old Imperial one, with Italican elements, and the Italican Empire outlived the original Empire.

After the Italican Empire fell down too, the territory became divided between strong city states such as Italica itself, Coda, Alnus, and Koan.

It only unified again toward the end of their version of the 20th century, and is nowadays, a fellow Constitutional Monarchy with standard liberal western values.

The Federal Republic of Mudwan

Mudwan also developed a national culture and a nation-state early.

Not much can be said, except they are also a western-style modern nation and that in their territories, it was created the dreaded ideology of Runeism, comparable to our world Fascism/Nazism, and whose symbol is the Celtic Triskele.

Mudwan is the current "leader" of the Falmartian Union and one of its original founders, along with Sadera, Formalia, Elbe and Toumaren.

The Elbean Republic

Elbe is the southern neighbour of Formalia and a founder of the FU.

In the past, its favourite passtime was having border conflicts and diplomatic crisis over the ownership of the region of Schwartz (Svarzia in Italican) with the Serene Republic of Alnus and then with the Kingdom of Italica after its unification.

Nowaday is a fellow standard western liberal country.

The Duchy of League

League briefly gained its independence after The Empire fell, but they were soon annexed again by Alguna.

They would only regain their freedom about a century later, during the Leaguean Revolts.

In the second half of their 19th century, the goblin-dominant region of Golbena had a referendum to gain independence from League, which was respected and the two nations are happy neighbours ever since.

The Kingdom of Golbena

A nation mainly inhabited by sentient goblins, it roughly shares the same culture of League except their main language is different. Golbena is yet another member of the Falmartian Union and a westernized first world country.

The Kingdom of Alguna

Once one of the biggest colonial powers of the world, its now just a medium to small nation. It's now a fellow first world western country and member of the Falmartian Union.

Great Avion

An island nation made up my several smaller substates and islands, Great Avion is located in the similarly named Avion Sea and it's the only Falmartian country that doesn't use the Falm as currency and is actually currently considering to leave the Falmartian Union.

Avion has a colonialist and imperialist past, but its now among the most liberal countries of the continent, even for the modern standards.

The Sultanate of Maraan

A country situated in the Glass Peninsula, south of Elbe, it occupies roughly the same territories as the ancient Kingdom of Toumaren. It's culture and society are comparable to an hypotetical westernized and middle eastern/arab/desert country. They practice their own version of Deusism, named Prophetism.

Knappnai Region Nations:

Most of these nations, except the Lordship of Dimonia, are of Sorcererian culture. The Sorcererian culture developed during the early medieval age of Falmart, and it developed from the culture of Medieval-Classical Rondel. Modern Sorcererian nations are regarded as unstable terrorist shitholes, and only three are prominent: Rondel, Bellnahgo and Elvenkadia, and even them are backward dictatorships. Knappnai is basically the Middle East of the Special Region.

The Knappnai region is the only place in all of the planet Mundus where the ancient Falmartian Paganism is still practiced, especially in its Neo-Emroyist and Neo-Hardyist forms.

The Lordship of Dimonia

A westernized Demon-centric nation located in the Knappnai region, created after the Falmart WW2. Its inhabitants are mostly demons (an umbrella term that describes several species, very different from each other, but still share the same religion and culture) sentient undead, ogres, goblins and orcs.

Its Head of State is called the Demon Lord.

Dimonia used to be independent in the ancient past, even before The Empire came to existence, but it was destroyed, and Demons became the scapegoat for every negative thing ever since.

Dimonia is the most Westernized nation of the Knappnai region, and its border towns are under constant threat by the rockets coming from Bellnahgo and Rondel.

The Dimoniak Religion was one of the firsts forms of monotheism in Falmart and demons had always rejected the ancient Falmartian Gods, that's why those Gods always tried to depict demons as beast and monsters.

Modern Deusism, the main religion of modern Falmart, is a descendant of the theology of the Devilian Faith of the Dimoniaks.

The capital city of Dimonia, Anferna, it's the Holy City of both the Dimonik faith, Deusism (the main religion of modern Falmart), Hardyism and Emroyism. Due to this fact, countless Great Holy Wars were fought over this city during history and it's still today, one of the most contested cities in the world.

The Republic of Rondel

A backward shithole, the once mighty Rondel lagged behind in social and cultural development like most other Knappnai nations and is littered with extremists.

Currently, the Neo-Emroyists State Militias are facing the Militant Magi-Atheists, a group of fanatics who think that only the absolute rejection of every conventional technology and religion in favour of atheism, objectivism and magic can lead to rationality and thus, success.

If they weren't enough, the so-called "Emroyist State of Rondel and Bellnahgo" (ESRB) fundamentalist groups, seeks to establish an "Apostledom", an Emroyist Theocracy, in the lands of Rondel and Bellnahgo.

These are only the major factions, for tens of minor armed groups and militants exist in this war-ravaged country, where nearly group is at war with each other, and everyone is also at war with the official government.

All sides like to commit warcrimes, suicide bomb their soldiers and use primitive high-destructive magic spells over their own cities, thus, Rondel is under constant ruin and Falmartian Peacekeeping forces are currently the only thing that prevent Rondel from completely falling apart.

The Rondelian Head of State is called "Archmage" and is elected by the Council of the Academy.

The Guildom of Bellnahgo

Just like Rondel, Bellnahgo its very behind in terms of civil rights, culture and society.

As one of the few Hardyist nation in the Emroyist Knappnai region, Bellnahgo is under a theocracy that interpretates the ancient Laws of Hardy in a fundamentalist way.

Bellnahgo is known to persecute especially Emroyists, they they consider heretics, and Deusists and Dimonikists, that they consider infidels, and it still has a Guild-System, where "Adventurers" are paid to do the government's biddings such as butchering its political enemies or doing services that are usually done by the State.

The head of State is called "Guildmaster" and it's society revolves around "Quests", tasks that the government gives to the citizenry in exchange for individual payment. The society is organized in "Adventurers", basically jack-of-all-trades people with basically no formal education that always accept the best paying quests. Due to this fact, the Bellnahgoan society is EXTREMELY unstable and it's full of secondary Guilds, "Clans" and other organizations and militias that are in a constant rivalry and competition with each other and the State.

Its mainly inhabited by elves, humans, catfolk, bunnyfolk, dwarves and other humanoid species with a slight human majority.

The State of Toggarta

An "independent" nation that exists as an enclave inside Dimonia. It's mainly inhabitated by dwarves, and has Emroyism as its state religion. It's an extremely backward society that still relies on steam powered technology. They currently dispute Dimonia claims over the land, but they can't do much about it as the "Mighty Alliance Between Dwarves, Men and Elves" between themselves, Bellnahgo, Elvenkadia and Rondel was utterly defeated in the 19 days war many decades ago by the superior and Falmartian-backed Dimoniak forces. Currently, the Toggartan fundamentalist group "Holy Emroyist Dwarven Allied Front" (HEDAF) is busy fighting a harsh border conflict against the DAF (Dimoniak Armed Forces).

The Magical State of Elvenkadia

An elven ethnostate. It's society its one of the most backward and primitive of the world. Almost all of its citizens are centuries old Forest High Elves and they still practice medieval-style feudalism, with almost no changes made for the modern world. Their clothing is still exactly the same as the early medieval clothing and almost everything in Elvenkadia, except some types of magic, is stuck to early medieval levels. Elvenkadia had also joined the "Mighty Alliance Between Dwarves, Men and Elves" against the Lordship of Dimonia few decades ago, but they were utterly destroyed and lost most of the Galadral Plains.

It's an absolute despotic Monarchy and the Head of State is called High King.

They are not like East Ilvaine, that actively persecutes different people and believes in elven supremacy, they just happen to be a very isolated and backward community.

Other nations.

East Ilvaine

Once, Ilvaine was whole.

After the Falmartian equivalent of WW2, it was divided in East and West, for it was a puppet state of a loser nation of the conflict.

The Eastern part is nazbol (a mix between ultra-nationalism and communism), ethnonationalist, isolationist, and totalitarian.

It's Head of State is the "Oberelven" and the State has ministries similar to Orwell's 1984 ministries, who continuously create propaganda to indoctrinate and control the population.

East Ilvanians are traditionally High Elves of asian ethnicity, but overall, every race of elf lives there. The very few minorities that live in this nation, are considered sub-sentient beings and are treated as objects, even worse than slaves.

Basically every ethnonationalist and hyper-racist elf goes to live in East Ilvaine to satisfy its wishes.

It constantly threatens West Ilvaine and the nearby island nations because it keeps testing ICBMs and Spells of Mass Destruction.

East Ilvaine is one of the greatest opponents of the Western Falmartian countries and their way of life.

West Ilvaine

The capitalist, westernized and liberal version of East Ilvaine. Ethnically, it's the same as its neighbour, as its inhabited by Ilvainian High Elves, it's not a very active player in the worldwide political scene, although its music groups are widely known in the equivalent of the Falmartian Western World.

A long fortified borders divides it from it's warlike neighbour.

The Volraldenean Federation

A huge, immense country located in the East of Falmart, and inhabited by mainly wolfmen and werewolves, although humans and other kinds of humanoids exist, it's the biggest thorn in the side of the Falmartian Union, with its anachronistical expansionistic ambitions and its semi-dictatorial form of government.

Once, Volralden was just a puny tribe in the mountains, but after The Empire collapsed, they gained the freedom to unite all the others wolf tribes and then colonize the immense swaths of lands beyond the Range of Snow and Ice.

In the past, Red Volraldia, the communist iteration of the Volraldean state, used to be the biggest thorn in the side of the westernized nations.

Republic of Leperia

The distant descendants of the ancient Warrior-Bunny tribes. Their modern culture is completely unrecognizable from their ancient one, having been influenced by thousands of years of history, cultural blending and evolution and hundreds of people who settled, conquered and lived in the area. It's development is comparable to an Earth Eastern European country, and is a de-facto bunnyfolk ethnostate, for they make up over 98% of the population and the historical civilizations of the area were all Warrior-Bunny nations.

It used to be part of the sphere of influence of Red Volraldia.

Principality of Hevehil

Deep into the Forest of High Elves, there's a state inhabited by the aforementioned population. Like East and West Ilvaine, it's an elven centric nation, with the difference that Hevehilan elves look like white people with elven ears, while Ilvainans look like asian people with elven ears.

It's a constitutional monarchy, and also used to be in the sphere of influence of Red Volraldia.
