Disclaimer: Unfortunately Doctor Who et al belongs to the BBC and not me...please forgive me for any/all wrongs done to the characters. I plead sleep deprevation...and blame my brother...it came about because of him...
He'd regenerated again. Not in the best of circumstances but then again none of his regenerations had been and oww!...he brought a hand to his head it wasn't going to be a smooth one either. He needed to find the Zero Room but he couldn't keep his thoughts straight, let alone keep his bearings in his disoriented state. He feebly looked around in an attempt to find something he could leave a trail back to the console room with and then it suddenly hit him. The Scarf! if he could unravel it, it was bound to get him at least close to the Zero Room with a way to back track if he got lost.
Carefully he picked at the end of it and let out a triumphant cheer as it began to unravel in his hands. He tied one end to the door handle and began to make his way in an attempt to find the Zero Room.
Sooner than he would of liked, the scarf was fully unraveled and he hadn't found his destination yet. He tore his vest into strips and left the pieces at regular intervals. At one corner he left a shoe, and at the next he lost the other in some weird post-regenerative strip dance.
He almost walked past the full length mirror before he did a double take. Slowly he made his way back to the mirror and paused. Instead of the brown curly mop he called hair in his past incarnation he now sported blonde foppish hair. He ran his fingers through it and looked deep into the mirror. His once big eyes were now deep set. On top of that he appeared younger! Was he going to look younger as he got older? Would he have to go through puberty in his next regeneration if that was the case? "That's the trouble with regeneration," he began not realising he was speaking out loud, "you never know what you're going to get." He sighed and looked down at the floor spotting a cricket bat. He picked it up and grinned, he'd never had any interest in the game before but now it seemed right. Natural. He gave a few experimental swings of the bat. Yes, he definately liked cricket this time around.
He looked around trying to find where the bat belonged and spied a door behind him. He gingerly opened it and walked in. Moments later he walked out again, still grinning but now dressed in a white open necked shirt, cricket vest and candy striped trousers. He eyed himself in the mirror before spying a beige jacket that hung beside it. The perfect thing to complete his new outfit!
Shrugging into it, he already felt better, he always did when he got his own clothes for his new regeneration. Same Doctor but a new man. Neither would last if he couldn't find the Zero Room shortly though...
