The doctor heard Darius yelling and screaming and crying where ever he went in the tardis for the next few days, it was heart wrenching, almost like listening to Rose saying her last few words, breathing her last breath because he knew Darius would be distant from him from now on, he shook the thoughts of Rose from his head, they were just friends again now, they knew it was for the best!
Cat read his thoughts silently and walked through the tardis's long corridors until she found what she was looking for, she closed and bolted the door, she would be here a while.
Once inside the 'smiths' she took a selection of tools from the rack and placed them upon a table, she then asked the tardis to put a jewelsmiths next door, she exited the room and walked into the jewel smiths, she looked at the diamonds and rubies and crystals and finally came to a single, round pearl, she took it in her hands and blew onto it, it started to glow, she blew again, there was a more definite glow coming from it, a purple glow, once more she blew onto it, a small round face appeared, " Ohhhhhh, how i long to lingerrrr,
on the beautiful flesh around your fingerrrr!" It sang.
Cat frowned and stroked it delicately with her fingertips, it's feeble glow became stronger, almost brilliant!
"Ohhh, my loves all for you! There's nothing for you would not doooooo! I shall guide you in the dark! I shall be your whole lifes spark! If you love me, truly do! Then I now belong to you!" It sang.
Cat smiled, PURRRRRRRFECT!
"Questions, ask me, my beauty do! There is no other as divine as you!" it chimed.
She made a small purple box to go with it with a delicate, satin cushion inside it which was a light purple to match the ring.
She then went back to the 'smiths' and started heating gold and silver in seperate pans, she constructed an intricate mold and poured the two hot liquers into it, just as she had expected they muddled but did not mix into a single colour, when the liquer had dried she took it from it's mold and examined it, on the top a little nest showed where the pearl would sit, or rather, float and below that the two metals had muddled beautifully.
She brushed her fingers over the ring and ruby letters apeared making the statement, ' To signify the mixing of two races into one'
She then took the pearl and placed it into the nest," Up you go!" she said, and blew the pearl until it glowed more and started floating, it looked around itself before smiling angelicaly.
"Now finally our job is done, but harder things are yet to come!" It chimed.
Cat placed the ring into the box and pocketed it before heading back to the console room where she found the doctor.
"You still like her don't you?" she declared.
"N...NO!" he said, burning up.
'How did she know?' he asked himself.
"Because i can read your mind." She answered.
'what?'
"didn't you hear me? I said i can read your mind! Which means i know you like her, so i helped you out."
"what do you mean?"
she produced the velvet box and handed it to him," You've been on her mind too." she said.
He cautiously opened the box," So you must be the lucky one! Declare you're lover as beautiful as the sun! And i shall make sure everyone, will know that you and her are one!" It jingled.
For the first time that day a smile crossed his face.
