Hermione sighed as she waked toward the great hall, and the dance, it has been three mouths since the downfall of Voldemort and everything was almost normal. Professor Magonagul decided to hold a ball for the occasion, I sighed to myself. Harry and Ron came back safe and sound but she couldn't say the same for others. During the final battle flashes of light from the spells and hexes were all you could see, the first person I found was Bill and Fleur. They were both on the ground facing upward Bill died first to protect Fleur and then she died crying over his body. When Hermione snapped out of her trance she was in front of the great hall and she slowly entered.
Blaring music greeted her as she walked in, the school this year decided to bring in muggle music, she sighed and sat down in one of the chairs by the side. The most dramatic thing she remembered,though, was Draco Malfoy. During the battle he turned to our side and helped, and then before I knew it I was facing his father. We fought and he almost won when Draco lumped in front of me and killing his father, he turned around to me and helped me stand, and with a small smile he was off.
A hand appeared in front of Hermione as she looked up her eyes meet gray ones. "Dance with me?" He asked and she nodded her head. A new song started as he pulled her close.

Chills went down her spin from his voice as his eyes meet hers as he continued to sing along with the song.

She looked into his eyes and saw sadness and...love. The words meant so much more, he was telling her that he loved her, but did she love him?

She smiled as she closed the distance between their lips, and slowly kissed him and he returned it. As they broke apart she looked in his eyes and was about to say that she loved him too but his were on her again. She knew then she didn't have to say anything he already knew, he slowly deepened the kiss as his tongue into her mouth. The second time they came apart they were both smiling, he reached out his hand and lead her back inside.
