God's Game – The First Inheritor
Summary: I was hyped when I learned I was getting Isekai'd, wondering what cool power I'd get to help me fuck shit up. Instead, I ended up an orphan in Italy, with no powers of my own to help me survive in the world of Devils, Angels, and Tits… But just because I wasn't sent to the world with power, doesn't mean I could obtain it after. 'Welcome to the Game.' SI/Gamer OC
IV: Inimicus Dei
A warning has been issued.
You are about to enter a Dungeon. The minimum recommended level for this Dungeon is 10. Once you enter the dungeon, you will not be able to leave unless you clear the dungeon or use a Return Stone. Please bring all allies into the dungeon with you, or they will not be able to enter until you clear the dungeon, use a return stone, or die.
I let out a soft hum as I received the warning from Rhea, looking over the hideout I'd be hitting that night. Unlike the last one, this building definitely stood out more as it was very clearly more 'holy' in appearance, decorated with crosses and some painted murals depicting holy figures on the outside walls.
If anyone saw this place, they might confuse it with something belonging to the Vatican. That might explain why the Vatican hadn't dealt with these rogue elements, they were literally hiding in plain sight. They'd think nothing of a 'holy ground' like the one in front of me.
I shook my head and began to consider my plan. This place was recommended for Level 10, which was 6 levels beneath me. That meant I'd probably be able to clear it myself with little difficulty… Even so, better to be prepared. 'Status.'

'Invest 5 points in LUK, 3 in DEX, 1 in STR, 12 in INT, 7 in VIT, and the rest in WIS,' I thought to myself, watching as all my stats rose above 30, with my INT hitting 50 and my WIS not being far behind. My VIT was also now sitting at a much more comfortable 45.
'Rhea, disable notifications until I'm done with the dungeon, unless it's an emergency.'
Notifications disabled, Tony. Please be careful. Even if you are a higher level than recommended, you should always be prepared for anything that comes your way in the dungeon.
'I will, Rhea,' I promised. Just because I had some power and was above the recommended level, didn't mean I could be reckless. All it would take was one strike to my neck, and that would be lights out for me. And I'd rather not die again.
I took a breath, activating both [Aura Suppression] and [Sneak], before I slowly pushed open the door and made my way into the building. I closed the door behind me and tensed as I immediately heard footsteps, quickly moving to hide behind the first thing I saw, a sofa.
"Did you hear?" A female voice said. "One of the bases got hit a couple days ago. Everyone inside was dead, must have been those bastards from the church. Good thing we didn't keep any important documents in there."
"You serious?" The male said. "Fuck, that sucks. Even if they didn't find any documents, they'll definitely be suspicious now. We'll have to be even more careful with our movements."
"Yeah," she sighed. "What's kind of weird is that our spy in the Vatican told us that everyone seems to have died as a result of poison. The church doesn't use things like poison, so we think it was a third party."
"But who then? Not the Fallen, they'd be more likely to help us, and while the Devils are heretics, they wouldn't care to try and stop us… So, who on Earth could it be?"
"Shit if I know, but we should probably keep an eye out. No telling where this mysterious person will show up next. Thankfully, we should be receiving our Holy Crystals next week.
"Finally! We'll finally have the ability to Wield Holy Swords! Oh, I have been waiting for this."
"We'll finally have that which we deserve."
They both chuckled as their voices faded, going out of sight. 'I won't be able to just Mist my way through this dungeon, I can hear too many footsteps and too much movement… They'll notice things off quickly, this needs a more hands on approach.'
I took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. I'd keep Aura Suppression on since it cost no magic, and I'd try and kill as covertly as possible… Damn it, I should have at least brought a knife. Then again, my hands were more devastating than any non-magical knife.
'Right, Cobra was able to do it in the show… Let me try then…' I closed my eyes and focused. I bit down on my lip as I felt tingles starting to run through my arms. Opening my eyes, I looked down at them to see that, from the elbows down, my arms had been transformed into that of a dragon, complete with deep violet scales. I rather liked the shade; it was pleasing to me.
'Nice… Venom Dragon's Scales for this one? It's accurate,' I thought to myself, taking another breath. It was time for action.
I tilted my head back, unleashing purple mist from my mouth that began to fill up the floor.
"Hey, what's with this smoke!?" Someone yelled, before they began to gag and choke.
"It's poison! Someone's here, find the source!"
'Well, looks like I'm not getting off that easy this time,' I thought to myself… Shit, I didn't bring a mask or anything!
Here, use this. Just this once though.
You have obtained Zangetsu's Hollow Mask (Fake).
'You are the best, ever,' I told Rhea as I quickly took the mask out of my inventory. Just like it said, this was specifically White Ichigo- Zangetsu's- Hollow Mask worn in Vasto Lorde form. Still, I checked the description of the item.
Zangetsu's Hollow Mask (Fake) (Uncommon)
The mask worn by the Zangetsu when in Vasto Lorde form. When worn, it turns the user's eyes gold and turns their sclera black and changes their voice to sound dual layered.
-100% chance of enemies learning your true identity
-75% chance of enemies who know your true identity learning who you are behind the mask
'The best,' I repeated as I put on the mask, moving around my jaw to see if it restrained my ability to speak at all. As expected, it didn't whatsoever. Just fine by me, I could use this.
"The source is from the entrance hall!" The voice called.
'Showtime!'
I leapt over the couch out of my hiding spot, unleashing a blast of violet energy straight at the guy who just spoke from my mouth, sending him into the wall with a loud crash.
"What the fuck-!?"
I whirled around, ripping out the throat of the person speaking without a second thought. They fell to the ground, grasping at their throat and gasping for air that would never come.
I turned back to the person embedded in the wall, unleashing another blast at them, this time centering the blast on their head. All that I head was a loud 'squelch' and blood starting to spurt. I turned my head away, so I wouldn't have to see the headless body.
A huge number of exorcists and priests were charging down the halls towards me.
I reared my head back before I roared, unleashing a vortex of purple death, sending all of the exorcists and priests spiralling down the hall, slamming against it, causing huge cuts along the body. The wounds on some of them began to turn a sickly purple as they were poisoned, soon to die.
I took a deep breath. 'Numb yourself to it. You can worry about this later, focus on what you must do now.'
I took a breath and focused as more came at me, my claws lashing out-
'Focus.'
- stomachs gouged, organs spilled-
'Focus.'
- throats torn out, desperate gasps for air-
'Focus.'
- walls torn down, screams filling the air-
'Enough!'
I snapped out of it, taking in a deep, heavy breath… I slowly began to look around, and my eyes widened at what I saw.
Blood. Blood had splattered the walls, panting the interior of the building crimson red. Bodies littered around the floors like bags of trash at a garbage dump. No longer was this a holy place, it was a building of death.
'What just…? How did I do all this…?' I was stunned… It was like the world faded away, and the only thing I could do was focus on killing. My usual queasiness that I felt was rising back up again but I forced it down, taking another deep breath.
"You… You monster!" I heard a voice say, and I turned to look. It was a young male, only a few years older than me, wielding a sword that looked familiar to me, though I couldn't quite place it.
"… Monster, huh?" I mused softly, my dual-layered voice coming out thanks to the mask. "Yeah, I guess I am one," I agreed. "However, what you're all doing here is truly monstrous. That's why… I will eradicate all of your bases."
"You bastard!" He roared as he charged at me, swinging his sword.
I ducked under it and grabbed his wrist. Poison spread from my hands as I tugged sharply, literally ripping his wrist off, sword included.
His eyes widened and he screamed, scrambling back and holding his stump of a wrist. "My- my hand! My hand!" He glared at me, tears falling. "You monster! Demon! It is God's Will that we erase monsters like you!"
"God's Will, huh…" I stared down at him, removing his severed hand from the sword as I placed the blade in my own. "Sadly, for you, God has been dead for years. How about you go apologise to him in the next life?"
His eyes widened, and he moved to open his mouth, but I thrust the blade forwards- straight through his skull. His body slumped, and he died instantly.
You have successfully cleared the Dungeon.
I let out a sigh of relief and relaxed, before my eyes widened as I felt a hard punch land on my stomach, sending my body flying back into the bloody wall, dropping the sword I was holding in my hand.
I coughed hard, the punch strong enough that blood came up my throat and was coughed out.
I looked up weakly, and saw a hooded figure standing there, picking up the sword.
"You… Who are you…?"
"… You won't take this sword," a voice spoke, one I couldn't tell if it was male or female. "I'll let you leave with your life and give you a warning: stop targeting our bases, or else."
The figure's body dissolved into mist, vanishing along with the sword… Was the sword that important…?
Tony! Are you okay?
"I'm… Fine… Rhea…" I coughed again, that punch still having an effect on me as I looked at my HP.
50/560
My eyes widened… I knew my health was at max before I took that punch… Just that one punch did almost all of my health!? I almost died to a single punch!?
I'm sorry, there was a flaw in the System's barrier that allowed them to break into the building, despite the fact nobody should be able to get in until after you leave. The System will adjust and make sure such a fault cannot be exploited again.
I just groaned and ripped myself out of the wall, falling to my knees and breathing hard. I would be fine; I just needed a bit for my health to restore…
"That person…" I breathed out. "Damn, they're strong…" I held my stomach. "I guess… If I'm gonna keep going into these dungeons… I'll have to bring Irene with me, or become even stronger… Rhea, could I get my rewards please?"

I took a breath… Now I knew where the extra 110 points of HP came from, I must have gotten them during the dungeon. That was actually helpful, it confirmed that my stats went up as I fought, not at the end of the dungeon.
… And clearly, I needed those extra stats, or I'd be dead right now.
My eyes locked onto the words that said I'd created a new Skill… It sounded familiar, so I opened it up.
Intersect of Yin and Yang – Level 1 – Epic
An ability possessed by all humans to switch their own nature, but one very few people are ever able to master.
At its current level, the user is able to temporarily shut off their emotions, though they will be hit with the full force of them afterwards.
Ah, now I knew why it sounded familiar! This was the same skill Shiki Ryougi had, that allowed her to switch between her two natures! Likely Shiki Tohno had it too, as he changed personality entirely when his glasses came off. And, if I remembered right, Li Shuwen had it as well in his older form.
If I was able to master this skill, then it would probably work in a similar way to Gamer's mind, but fully under my control so that I wouldn't end up as some kind of sociopath.
"Open the Dungeon Chest."
Opening Dungeon Chest…
You have obtained the skill [Blacksmithing]
Blacksmithing – Level 1 – Common
A skill that represents the user's ability to create objects using a forge.
+50% chance to successfully create a [Common] Rarity item.
+25% chance to successfully create item of higher rarity (chance halves with every subsequent tier)
I stared at the skill and nodded, that was fair. About a 50/50 chance to be able to make common gear, and lower chances the higher the rarity of what I was making. It meant that, as I was now, I had about a 1% chance to create an item of Godly Rarity.
Though it could also mean that I had a 50/50 chance to create an item successfully, and then I had a 25% chance of it being uncommon, and then so on and so forth.
Due to the user hitting Level 20, the Store has now been unlocked.
Ah, excellent. That would give me access to more resources, though I should probably just check the price of something, so I at least had a baseline… "Could you bring up the cost of Fire God Slayer Magic?"
[Fire God Slayer Magic] (Rare)
3,000,000 Euros
I winced at the price, but it wasn't as outrageous as I thought it would be, I thought it would be way higher. Why was that?
Abilities that can be re-created, such as God Slayer Magic, are less expensive than they would be if the Magic was entirely unique. For example, if you wanted the Excalibur from Fate/Stay Night… Well…
[Excalibur (Fate/Stay Night)] (Godly)
100 trillion Euros
My eyes widened… 100 trillion!? That was… I mean, it made sense but… Holy crap.
Keep in mind unique items you buy will actually work for you if you were to buy them. So, Excalibur would acknowledge you and allow you to use it at full strength, whereas usually it will never let anyone except Artoria use it at full strength- not even Shiro Emiya who lived almost his entire childhood and up to his teenage years, and beyond in some routes, with Avalon inside of his body.
Ah, that made sense. After all, unique items that only worked for certain people would be completely useless to me if I myself was unable to use them.
Still, that helped me at least establish a baseline to work towards. I'd also make sure to work on my blacksmithing skill, it was too useful to not use. Yes, in the short term it wasn't as useful. But in the long term, it meant I could gear up any of my allies with high quality weapons.
Still, I wanted to check something in this world too. "Show me the prices for… Boosted Gear, and Light Magic DxD variant."
[Boosted Gear] (Godly)
100 million Euros
[Light Magic (DxD)] (Rare)
25,000 Euros
I raised an eye. "Why are those two so much cheaper?"
Light Magic, despite being rare, is still something that can be easily replicated. It also has to do with the fact that they are local to your world, and thus things you could obtain here if you so wished. Light Magic could be replicated if given time, and Boosted Gear could be extracted from its host. Things not native to this world have their price increased by 10x.
"Wait, so if I was in Fairy Tail, then God Slayer would only be 300K?"
Correct.
I gave a slight nod, that was good to know. "If I did end up going to… Say, Naruto, does that mean that things from this world would end up going up in price, and things from that world would go down?"
It is dependent on the situation. If you world travel in such a way that you can return back here, then both will go down to their normal prices since you will be able to obtain powers from both worlds. If, however, you travel in such a way that you cannot come back then the prices will adjust as you said: the world you travel to will become normal, and this world's will be x10.
I nodded slowly. Okay, that was fine by me. It would also be a good indicator for if I was stuck in another world, and that was always useful to know.
"Right, roll the rare Gacha Token for me."
Gacha Result
Skill Orb: One-Sword Style (One Piece) – Rare
My eyes lit up, and I quickly used the orb then checked the skill.
One-Sword Style (One Piece) – Level 1 – Rare
The One-Sword Style used by Roronoa Zoro, a powerful attacking style that isn't solely limited by stances, instead only limited by the user's own power, and their imagination on how to use their blade.
Requirement: 40 STR, Sword
Deals ([STR + Weapon] * 1.1) Damage
"No MP cost?"
Of course not, Tony. Zoro himself does not have magic, and yet he is able to use these techniques. Like many other non-magic techniques, this simply uses your stamina.
"Speaking of that, why don't I have a Stamina Bar or anything?!"
If you really need a bar to determine on if you're about to run out of energy, then I think you should probably take a good long look at yourself, Tony.
I blushed in embarrassment, rubbing the back of my head. Well, when she put it like that…
I suggest you leave, you were much more reckless with your magic today, so the Church is likely going to come investigate much sooner.
My eyes widened. "Uh, bring up the price for an Organization XIII coat?"
Organization XIII Coat
400,000 Euros
"Okay fine, bring up a replica!"
Organization XIII Coat (Replica)
200 Euros
"Buy it!"
I opened up my inventory and equipped my new coat, smiling as it fit me very comfortably, before I quickly pulled the hood over my head and left through the back door of the building, using both Sneak and Aura Suppression to do my best to go unnoticed.
[Sneak] has levelled up.
Thankfully, it worked out as I ducked into an alley, Exorcists rushing past where I was to head to the building I'd just emptied of all living people. I let out a sigh of relief that they didn't spot me, before my mind drifted back to that person in the cloak… And that sword, it looked kind of familiar to me, but I wasn't sure why. Maybe I'd seen it in the anime or light novel? Maybe the description was familiar? Maybe it was a sword from another media that was in this world?
I had no way of knowing, but something told me it wasn't the last time that I would be meeting that person.
~~God's Game~~
Irene welcomed me home, and I didn't particularly feel the need to tell her that if I hadn't stronger back in the dungeon then I would have died from a simple punch, though I did tell her I was attacked but managed it and the person escaped.
We'd already had dinner, but we sat together at the table to drink a bit, eat some snacks, and talk about information from the dungeon. She had tea, I had water.
"I can tell your magic has gone much further along," she told me. "I'm impressed, you were only in there for about an hour, and yet your Dragon Slayer Magic and your magic pool have increased by a decent amount."
"I guess I learn better in life or death battles than by just sparring, though sparring works pretty damn good too if you ask me," I told her, sipping my water. "Do you think you could do something to set us up a blacksmithing forge? I want to try my hand at it, and we don't exactly just have local blacksmiths around in this day and age."
She raised an eye at me and considered it. "If you do, I want you to show me some of your works to make sure it isn't being wasted," she told me. "You might be the one in charge here, but it's me that's putting in the hard work. If I'm going to put in the work, I want to make sure that my efforts aren't going to be wasted."
I nodded. "That's more than fair, and I agree to your terms."
She gave a firm nod, clearly pleased I wasn't just brushing her off or trying to assert my authority to make her just accept it. As a princess, she probably had to deal with that a lot. "So, did you find anything worth mentioning in the base?"
"Not really-" I began to say, before I paused. "Actually, I did find something," I told her, reaching inside of my coat and pulling the document out of my inventory before I pulled it out. "I found this document, but I didn't read it yet. I thought it might be best to read it here, so that way I don't have to read or hear it again if it's something repulsive like detailing human experimentation."
She turned a bit green at the thought, before she gestured for me to read.
I looked down at the document, reading over the slightly faded text before I began to read.
March 8th 20XX
It's been about 2 years since I was kicked out of the church, it's almost insane how time seems to fly by when we aren't paying attention. I've been preparing carefully for my revenge, though it's been hard work gathering allies and infiltrating the church. Still, I've made due with what I have, and I'm rather pleased.
More and more exorcists feel bitter over the church and leave, and thus I bring more and more potential Holy Sword wielders into my ranks. I picked up a powerful prospect the other day, a natural holy sword wielder who is jaded with the actions of the church. They will be most useful to me.
With all the people now under me, I've assigned the scientists and alchemists to begin researching for a way to obtain the holy element and to create Holy Swords that will be on par with natural holy swords. Thankfully, the powerful prospect I picked up had their own Holy Sword that they were more than willing to loan to allow them to examine it and see how it works.
Once they're done, both with how to create the Holy Element Crystals, and the method to mass producing powerful Holy Swords, I'll get my revenge on the church for throwing me away. They'll pay the price for spreading their damned teachings of 'forgiveness' and 'love,' when I never got a chance.
As they say, fool me once, shame on you. And I won't allow them to fool me a second time.
B. V.
P.S. I should come up with a good name for this organisation… Inimicus Dei, perhaps? The Enemy of God? Hm… I'll have to think on it, but that name sounds good.
I set down the document, taking a slow, deep breath.
"It doesn't tell us too much," Irene spoke up after a few moments of silence. "But it does give us a few things. First, a vague motive from this group- Inimicus Dei- and their leader; revenge against the church for 'tossing them aside.'"
"Second," I continued, "It explains that person who appeared and attacked me, and why they seemed to not want me doing anything to their sword. The Sword belongs to them, and they're using it to try and find a way to replicate it so they can spread it to all their subordinates."
"Third, they have both alchemists and scientists working on a way to create a 'Holy Crystal.' Do you know what this Holy Crystal is?"
I nodded, "Yeah. I won't go into details because it's sick, but it's pure crystallisation of the Holy Element. By taking it into your body, you become a Holy Sword Wielder."
I reached into my inventory, taking out the Crystal and showing it to her. "This is one I found in the first base I raided, you can take it to investigate it if you want, I have no intentions of using it."
She nodded and took it from me, slipping it into her pocket. "Fourth, they have a potentially powerful warrior on their side, strong enough to put deal with you long enough to escape without you being able to stop them."
"Fifth, the group has been around for at least two years, likely more at this point. I imagine it probably took a couple of years to create that Holy Crystal, so we'll have to assume they've been around for a minimum of five years, so they likely have even more people at their disposal. And, if what the letter says is true, then they're obtaining more people potentially every day."
She gave a serious nod and sipped her tea. "What do you want to do about this?"
I considered it, thinking carefully, before I spoke, "It's for the best we start taking them out as fast as we can. Not in a rush type of thing, but if they've had five years to prepare- and based on what I heard they've been making significant progress and are aware of us- then they're plans are definitely nearing done, and they are almost ready to invade the church. And as much as I don't like the church, they're essential to the balance of the Biblical Faction. If they're attacked, then there's a chance that the angels will descend from heaven, and that will just lead to all sorts of problems we can't allow."
"I agree," she nodded. "However, are you strong enough to be able to fight alongside me?"
"Definitely not," I admitted. "But that's what sparring is for. I think we can also use their bases as a- hopefully- controlled environment for me training. I'll fight, you heal me and make sure I don't die as I get more experience with life and death situations. And if it gets really dangerous, then you can step in and deal with things in an instant."
"And what do we do after?"
I remained silent for a moment, before I spoke. "I have an idea on what we should do after, but I'd like to hold off on talking about it until I have a proper plan in mind. Right now, it's more of an idea. Is that okay with you?"
"As long as it isn't something stupid like fighting dragons, then you have my support," she told me with a self-deprecating grin.
"I'd call that more dependent on the person," I told her. "Depending on who it is and the circumstances, I would call it brave not stupid." She wasn't stupid, she was a brave woman who wanted to help people.
+5 Affection with Irene Belserion (25/100)
She just chuckled softly and took another sip of her tea. "Anything else we should talk about or go over?"
"Yeah, actually. Do you know how to wield a sword?"
