Hyperion Corvinus,18, District 2 male

"Hate this fucking outfit…it's way too tight…feel my ass sticking out." I hear Blyana whine, standing a short distance away from me as we're getting ready to board our chariots. She's been trying to get under my skin this entire time but I've just been ignoring her, and I see how much it's bothering her since she's so used to being the center of attention. I used to carry so much anger, so much resentment but reconciling with my mother, it helped me let all of that negativity go and now that I actually have someone to fight for, I feel even stronger but at the same time even more desperate, desperate enough to do whatever it takes to get back home to her!

I look over at her for a split second as she continues pouting to herself, after hearing some of her backstory, I can somewhat relate to her. She tries to whisper to Iris, but she's still pretty loud honestly. I know that her mother abandoned her shortly after giving birth to her and that's been the driving force behind where she is today. We really aren't that different from each other…

"Can I help you with something!?" she lashes at me and I only turn away from her.

"Just remember your cheating dirty ass isn't coming anywhere near my alliance so you should start talking to all the weaklings around here and find another alliance!" she continues and I let out an exaggerated yawn to phase out whatever else she's saying but I see the two careers from four coming towards us. The guy Caspian's body is painted a baby blue and has some glitter over him. He's completely bare chested and has on a cape, a crown with jewels and pearls with blue scaly tights and is wielding a plastic lance. He looks like some kind of ruler of the ocean or something, the girl Ryena is only wearing a bra made of large seashells covering her bust, with green scaly tights and a headband made of pearls, she looks like a mermaid.

"Hello there sir, my name's Caspian, pleasure to meet to you!" Caspian greets me as he extends his hand and I begin to extend my hand and introduce myself but Blyana shoves my arm out the way and shakes his hand instead.

"My name is Blyana who will be your leader so it's nice to meet you Caspian!" she shakes his hand and he gives both of us an odd glance but laughs it off.

"Oh you want to be leader, that's cool!" He smiles.

"Don't talk to me like I'm a damn child, thank you very much!" she lashes at him.

"Oh…I'm sorry about that, I didn't mean to offend you." He quickly apologizes, uh why is he apologizing?

"You don't need to apologize to her." Ryena speaks up and Blyana glares her.

"And who may you be? Are you even a career?" Blyana teases Ryena but she stands her ground and doesn't let the taunting get to her.

"My name is Ryena and I don't know what kind of world your mind is living in, but I'd suggest you get your act together before you start rubbing people the wrong way. I think we can all agree that you don't just get to be leader, we'll all get together, come up with a system that we can all agree with and take it from there, is that OK with you Blyana?" Ryena snaps her head at Blyana and she looks a bit taken back, wow Ryena sure got some spunk.

"Yeah whatever…midget." Blyana mumbles and I see Ryena's face beginning to turn pink as she's trying to control herself, that seems to get to her easily, being made fun of for her height, she composes herself and looks at me however and does a faint smile. Blyana seems to take note of this though, she can likely exploit this weakness of hers.

"Ryena," she extends her hand and I shake it.

"Hyperion." I introduce myself to her.

"Hi." I hear a deep male's voice and quickly turn around to see it's the twins from district 1.

"Nox Nyctores." The stocky male extends his hand and I shake it.

"Hyperion." I introduce myself to him.

"Nyx." His sister introduces herself to me but doesn't extend her hand for whatever reason.

"Hyperion." I repeat and they proceed to greet the careers from four and Blyana.

"Wow you two look just alike!" Caspian exclaims.

"Well they are twins…" Ryena remarks.

"Twins! Let me guess you're the older one!" Caspian looks over at Nyx but she shakes her head.

"Nope, big bro is a few minutes older than me, I'm the more mature one though!" she smirks and Nox grunts while Caspian laughs.

"OK everyone I'm glad you're all getting acquainted with each other, but now I think it's about time we address the elephant in the room, we have a vacant spot!" Blyana gives me a nasty look.

"What do you mean vacant spot, there's six of us here." Nox speaks up.

"And one of them is a dirty scumbag who cheated their way to the top!" she adds.

"What? I didn't cheat!" Nox fires back and Nyx sighs and rolls her eyes.

"She's obviously not talking about you, but yeah I'm curious who this cheater is, who is it?" Nyx crosses her arms and Blyana grins before looking back at me.

"So Hyperion, want to tell your little friends here how you became volunteer this year?" She taunts me.

"Why does it matter?" Caspian states and Blyana sucks her teeth.

"We've all done things we're not proud of, and we have to live the rest of our lives knowing that, but we're all here cause we busted our behinds to get here, so why does it matter if we had to get our hands a little dirty in the process? we're not here to bash each other over stuff we committed in the past, we're an alliance and what matters is us working together to maintain a healthy one!" Caspian preaches and Blyana only rolls her eyes and mumbles something but Nox is giving me a weary look.

"Is there something you want to say?" I ask him.

"Would've already said so if that was the case." He continues analyzing me and I grunt before turning away from him, looks like Blyana was able to influence someone after all.

"Uhmmm hi honey! I see you been looking over here for a little while, something caught your attention!?" Blyana shouts across the stables while snapping her fingers and I look where she's shouting to see the tall built girl from 7 glaring a hole into the entire alliance here, not sure what her deal is but whatever. The girl doesn't say anything and only continues glaring us.

"What your tiny ass little brain can't process what I'm saying!?" Blyana begins walking over towards her.

"You better back the fuck up before you get put on your ass!" the girl from 7 threatens her.

"Bitch what!?" Blyana throws a punch at the girl from 7 but she quickly weaves it and lands a quick hook to side of Blyana's head which immediately knocks her down and right on her behind too like the girl said she would do and the stables become dead silent as it catches everyone's attention here.

"Whoa…" I hear Caspian and I see Ryena trying to contain her laughter while the twins both look pretty shocked. Even Blyana is fairly shocked as she remains on the floor for a moment trying to process what just happened but it finally registers that she was knocked right on her ass and she jumps back up to her feet and rushes at the girl but the two are quickly intercepted by a peacekeeper who starts dragging Blyana away.

"Wait till I get my hands on you! Oh you're so fucking dead!!" Blyana yells.

"Be more than happy to drop your ass again, come visit whenever you'd like!" The girl, I think her name is Beau or something teases Blyana.

"Well that was quite embarrassing…" Nox comments.

"She really did nothing but make an absolute fool of herself and got knocked on her behind by an outlier to top it off." Nyx shakes her head.

"That's not a regular outlier obviously, she's been through some training, that much is clear as day. Judging by the way she's been eyeing us too, looks like she has a bone to pick with us." I state.

"She'll never catch me with that slow ass telegraphed punch." Nyx dismisses her and I look over at Beau who's still back to glaring us and I see so much intensity,hate and fire burning into her eyes as she diverts her full attention towards me, but I don't look away. If it's a fight she wants against us, then that's what she'll get.

Azazel Pinestone,16, District 7 male

"Beau, Beau, she's the girl! If she can't do it no one can, Beau Beau, she's the girl!" I cheer and dance around her but she finally looks away from the careers and glares me.

"Would you shut the hell up!?" she hisses at me, boy the more I see from this majestic specimen, the more I'm just in love with this woman! She is so badass, Like she's sexy, packs a punch and can make any guy shake in their boots. it's like a dream come true for me to someday get punched in the face by her!

"Sooo Beau after flattening that cocky career girl just now, I can't help but believe the rumors are true!" I waft around her.

"The hell are you talking about?" she puts her hands on her waist.

"I hear you're like an underground fighting champion or something, that's totally fucking awesome!" I stick my hand out for a five but she leaves me hanging…

"Hmmph" she only scoffs.

"You didn't deny it either!" I jump up.

"Maybe that's cause you're just not worth answering," she growls at me.

"Ouch aren't you just a heartbreaker, c'mon though Beau, we had a rocky start but let's start over! Those careers are going to be all over your ass so you need back up, let's team up!" I plead but she only bursts out laughing. I finally made her laugh, but for all the wrong reasons…

"It'll be pretty pathetic having you as back up." She grimaced.

"What? I'm a man of many talents! You won't regret this!" I assure her.

"Oh yeah? Just what can you do? Cause I ain't here to babysit" she crosses her arms.

"It's a surprise!" I grin.

"Well surprise! We're not allying!" she jumps on the chariot.

"Hey wait!" I call to her but I feel like patting myself on the back, progress was made like I mean, she's actually thinking of allying with me!

"Out of my fucking way!" I hear a deep burley voice as I'm shoved aside and the giant guy from 12 only storms past me.

"Geez you're welcome…" I mumble and I can hear Beau snickering as she's up on the chariots.

"Tell you what, topple his ass and I'll partner up with you!" she chuckles and of course that'll be impossible- wait, all I have to do is make him fall and the badass woman of my dreams will ally with me? Alright then, It'll take some time, but I'll figure something out!

Sapphire Shineswell,24, capitol citizen

The chariot rides are about to start and I just can't wait to see the tributes again! My friend Ruby got knocked up by some loser so I'm here alone today but who cares!? I don't need her here to have fun! I'll have to see all of the tributes again and then I'll make a prediction but my prediction win streak of one ended last year when my pick Zananova died, but this time I'll get it right!

District 1 is obviously first and I find it so amazing how we have twin careers this year! They're both dressed as Pharaohs and the Nox is full of energy as he raises his javelin in the air and let's out a battle cry to loud cheers. Nyx tries to match that energy but something seems a little off about her, she raises her javelin in the air but appears to lose her balance for a moment as a look of discomfort spreads over her face weird but whatever.

District 2 are both dressed as viking warriors the tall and somewhat stocky guy has a stoic look on his face but upon hearing the numerous cheers pouring in for him, I can see him becoming a little nervous, he must not be used to this for whatever reason but the female Blyana who just seems so full of sass is glaring daggers into Hyperion, he continues ignoring her but that just seems to anger her more, sheesh what's her deal anyways? She needs a man to hold her and make her happy!

Next is district 3, the very creepy looking female is in a dress made of a bunch of machine parts and her hair is a tangled mess with tiny machine parts stuck in her hair but the boy, wow he looks terrified as he's literally leaning against the edge of the chariot just to try and create some distance and the creepy girl repeatedly taunts him by pretending she's going to rush at him and he only continues jumping and shaking in pure fear, wow she might even be a bigger weirdo than Zananova and that's saying a lot!

District 4 reminds me of aquatic superheroes, they look so so pretty! Caspian seems like a sweetheart, happily waving and greeting everyone as cheers pour out for him and his district partner Ryena seems quite tense at first but she becomes more comfortable after seeing Caspian interacting with everyone and she joins in as well.

The two tributes from district 5 are both dressed as lab scientists which I find a little weird, didn't the two from last year wear the same thing? Dio is a little cutie but looks a little too young for me and he's blowing kisses, waving and pointing at the females here and they seem to love him, seems quite charming. His district partner smiles and waves at everyone here, but something about her seems a little off, I can't pinpoint it exactly but whatever. Their lab coats light up before shooting sparks up in the air that spell out "District 5".

The two tributes from district 6 are in possibly the worst costumes I've ever seen. Hayden is in a car costume while the female is in a plane costume and both seem pretty nervous as their chariot rides by and looking at all the hundreds of thousands of people around her seems to make Paisley tremble a bit but she manages to smile and wave at everyone, Hayden only continues looking ahead a he's probably praying for these chariots to end as quickly as possible.

District 7 is up and both of them are dressed in bear hide. Beauregard's looks like a fancy robe complete with a hood that she wears and she has her arms crossed with an annoyed look on her face while Azazel's looks more like a suit and he's kind of short too so it makes him look like a cute little baby cub, but he just seems so comfortable and at home here as he jumps up and down and even manages to rile up the crowd even more, he definitely seems like a natural entertainer.

District 8 is up and they're both wearing attires with numerous different patches of fabrics and colors combined together. Genevieve's is a knee high dress and she wraps her arms around herself almost like she's hugging the dress and stretches her arms in the air afterwards as loud cheers ring out, guess they thought she was riling them up but it legit just looked like she just wanted to stretch. The tall and handsome district partner of hers seems like a big teddy bear and he does a few awkward waves before gaining more confidence and starts smiling and waving more. Genneive however pulls out a king sized chocolate bar and starts munching on it as its getting everywhere on her face and costume, eww what a pig!

District 9 is quite odd, the tall and handsome looking guy from 9 looks to be in tremendous pain. He looks sweaty, clammy and is hunched over clutching his stomach, well you know these poor people always have to overdo it and eat too much once they get on that damn train. Anyways he's almost completely naked save for some feathered underwear and his entire body is painted black, covered in feathers and he even has wings, he's supposed to be a crow?

The very and I mean very small girl looks so cute! She's literally just dressed in a bundle of hay and I just want to pick her up and squeeze her but she seems to have a sly look on her face as she looks over at her troubled district partner, she almost seems satisfied he appears to be suffering, he must be a huge jerk!

Off to district 10! The guy is massive! Like whoa! He might even be bigger than that giant from district 3 last year but he's dressed in a ranger suit which seems to suit him well and he waves to us before pulling out a lasso and spins it around in the air which starts to form a ring of flames over them, wow that seems pretty dangerous!

The girl Thea is dressed in a very fluffy white dress with black spots on it and she's holding a fake rifle in her hands, I'm assuming she's supposed to to fire it in the air to make some

funfetti or whatever fly out but she doesn't and only keeps that omnious cold and detached look on her face as the chariots roll by, she's just so off puttting and why does it seem like she's analyzing every single person here?

District 11 is pretty lame like they're both dressed as harvesters! What happened to the creativity from last year? Just about the only positive thing about this costume is that is shows how toned and physically fit the female is and she does a very faint smile and waves to the fans, the boy Kade is very thin and skinny but I can see both of them are much more well off than your typical district 11 tribute. Kade gives a thumbs up to us with a grin over his face and tries to flex his muscles in a joking manner which garners alot of laughs since he literally has no muscle at all, he seems funny though!

Finally it's district 12 and both of them are dressed as…coal miners, really!? The massively giant man towers over his tiny trembling district partner as they're both dressed in their coal mining suits and I can already see the devilish grin over his face as he looks at his terrified district partner. I can sense nothing but evil coming out of this monster. Someone needs to put him down and quickly!

What he does next catches us all completely off guard, he elbows her on the side of the head and gasps ring out through out the arena as she immediately loses consciousness and is now slumped over the railing of the chariots as loud boos start ringing out. Oh my god, he's worst than that Karen girl from last year! Can someone kill him please!?

"All of you mother fuckers can suck a fat filthy one! You're all my bitches!" he shouts aloud and slaps his unconscious district partner in the back of the head while she's still slumped over the railing. This obviously got the attention of the other tributes, especially Nox from district 1 who's angrily glaring him and I pray he's the one to finish this monster off!

Here are the chariot rides! I kind of wanted to go with a goofy theme this time around but look I suck with costumes anyways, I even surprised myself with the ideas I was able to come up with for last year's ones haha. Anyways guys some subplots are developing so it was necessary to show most of the tributes from last chapter but I can assure you everyone will get an adequate amount of screen time before the bloodbath, I have a specific route mapped out for each tribute and I won't say much more as that'll potentially reveal spoilers but thanks again for all the reviews, next chapter will be night 1 in the capitol which I'm honestly very excited for so see you guys soon, till next time!
