You may be gone but you will live on.

This is the sequel to lose of something dear. It looks at what my school did in memory of Nick Moore.

"Dew shines out like
The tears shed by love ones,
Shining through the dark veil "

Yumi folded the piece of paper and sat back in her seat. The assignment was to write a poem about an event, so Yumi had chosen the death of Nick Moore.

"Very good Yumi, I'm sure it took you a while to choose those words." Yumi felt people stare at her. Just then the bell went. Yumi was relieved to say the least. She chose to take the longer route to meet her friend so that she could just think.

Yumi walked by the bench that had been made to cremate Nick enthusiasm in wood shop. Yumi looked sat the support beams and looked at the balloons that had been placed their by the year 13.

Yumi strolled around to the benches and the waft of aromas travelled across the winds. Yumi stopped for a minute to admire the flowers still sparkling with late spring dew. The colours of the flowers sparkled and brought a tear to her eye. "Even in death Nick you have brought us this amazing garden for us to enjoy." Yumi thought wiping a tear away before the guys joined her.

"It has been nearly a year and I still feel sad about what has happened. Is it normal? I broke down in front of mum today and I had to spill about my pangs of guilt, mum says it is normal but all I can think about is what he should be doing now. Don't get me wrong or anything I'm not always down it is just on some occasions. Must go now"

Yumi closed her diary wondering if what had happened had really been all bad. It had brought people closer together and made everyone savour every moment they could. Nick had lived his life and had done what he was best at which was sports. That is why the Nick Moore charity was set up so that his death could bring about happiness in other peoples life.

That night Yumi reflected on her life. What had she really achieved, minus saving the world that didn't count? People thought she was just lazy and had no love life. There was Ulrich but she couldn't tell him she loved him, or could she? Yumi really cared for everyone she knew but she wasn't sure if they knew that. With that Yumi fell asleep with the resolve to show people more appreciation.
