Summary: Tohru suddenly gets a different perspective on the fighting between Kyo and Yuki.
Revelations usually occur when you least expect them.
When it happened to Tohru Honda, she was, once again, exasperatedly watching Kyo and Yuki rolling about on the grass in a tangle of fists and limbs.
She knew there was nothing she could do, and that they both would be all right, but it was still beginning to get on her nerves. Why did they always have to fight?
Right then, for an instant, time turned into slow motion, and her eyes widened as realization hit her. She could suddenly see the need for this fight in Kyo's eyes, the need for attention and acknowledgement of his existence, and the reassurance that someone wasn't afraid of him or what he might become.
Her gaze swept to Yuki, just to see the veiled understanding in his eyes, the acceptance and the reassurance he was willing to give, and even though it was slightly tinged with annoyance, Tohru knew that it was enough.
Suddenly she could see a purpose in those seemingly useless fights. Tohru smiled, her eyes softening with affection.
Maybe there was hope after all.
