Hi there, I have no idea where the no make-up part comes from, but it was there. And it's here now.
Enjoy!

Chapter III

Prague
"Magnus?" Nikola stormed into her room, but she wasn't there. "Well, well, someone got up early," he smirked. He took Helen's room phone and dialed Henry's room. "Heinrich? Didn't I tell you to let me know if Magnus was going out?" he says.
"What?" Henry yawns to the line. "Hold on; I'm watching today's feed. Dude, she never left her room."
"Well, she is not in here."
"What the hell are you doing there, Vlad?"
"Never mind! I will find her. I, after all, know Prague as the palm of my hand," He said, smiling, lowering the phone, "And I know Helen Magnus than anyone else."
Helen was sitting down in one café, drinking tea with some locally made pastries. She looked just like any young tourist that day, and nothing like her usual elitist self. She smiled, remembering what she did that morning to have a few minutes to herself.
It was barely 4 am when Helen started her day. The couple of relaxed days she enjoyed while in London, didn't do much to keep her in bed for long. She raised, took a hot shower, and noticing the first rays of shining through the balcony, she smiled.
For some reason, she felt not only content but at peace. And as she looked at her reflection in the mirror for the first time on only God knows how long, she smiled. Yes, she was used to seeing her unchanging features every morning while she aged herself covering her face with a thick layer of makeup with practiced steps, and uncovering them again, every night for sleep.
The whole process was done only to keep the illusion that Helen Magnus looked the way everyone thought she would look, like someone with an unpredictable age ranging from the thirties to early forties.
She studied her face and felt that she owed it to herself to be as carefree as she looked with no makeup when you didn't look straight into her eyes. Therefore, she decided that for once, she would bypass her ritual of making herself look older in favor of breakfast as herself.
Checking her clothes, she set for jeans, a tank top, and a black jacket with a hood (yes, she got such kind of garments. They were comfy). And then, she analyzed her chances. She knew Henry was in control of their floor cameras, and that getting out using the corridor would be impossible. So, she settled on taking the balcony as a way of escape. Helen checked the floor below her before raising her hood, and after climbing the balustrade, jumped down effortlessly, landing one level down. She kneeled beside the doors to check if that room was free and picked the lock, and walked outside.
She wandered around, enjoying the sounds, smells, and colors of the city. After almost an hour of walking, she stopped at a shop, knowing there was no much time left before someone would find her.
Helen placed her order, took a newspaper, and made herself comfortable in a table outside the store. She enjoyed her freedom for another twenty minutes until she breathed in deeply and knew he was there.
"Nikola," she said without turning once he stopped behind her. "Care to join me?"
"My, my, if I didn't know better, I would say you are twenty-five years old all over again," he clapped his hands before seating in front of her. She rolled her eyes at him.
"Tea, Nikola? I'll presume we have less than twenty minutes before Will wakes up. That is if Henry didn't wake him up when you called him about my disappearance."
"I did not call Heinrich!" He affirmed a little too quickly, making Helen raise an eyebrow. "That's none of the matter; you need to tell me how did you escape that room. My dear, we are on the top floor!" She smiled, and Nikola couldn't help himself, he moved forward and kissed her briefly. "Sorry," he said, biting his lower lip before he shook himself out of his trance. "You look so ... you! I couldn't stop myself."
"Teal'c, it is just me, or a stranger just kissed Carter?" Jack asked his car companion, both looking at the image in front of them dumbfoundedly.
"Indeed," Teal'c said.
The three of them had arrived at that point around half an hour earlier. Sam had volunteered to grab the coffee and something to eat for all of them. They thought they had seen her enter a coffee shop three doors down from where she was currently seating, but seeing her so comfortably waiting by the shade.
At first, Jack thought she was waiting for her order, but then he considered she was going to signal them to join her. Before she did any, the male had approached her and sat covering her from them. The kiss was unexpected, to say the least, so they sat there watching the exchange. Finally, after another ten or fifteen minutes flew by, the couple started to walk towards them.
As they came closer to the Colonel and alien, it started to get obvious that as much the girl looked like Carter, it wasn't Sam. They were strolling enjoying the sunshine, and the moment she stepped into the sun, noticing the cascade of brown curls was all they needed to know she wasn't Sam. Jack let out the breath he was holding, and held it again as the couple passed next to their rental.
"So Nikola; how did you find me?" The woman said
"Well, for one, I'm not only acquainted with Prague but with you. Secondly, your scent is unique, dearest; you can confirm that with Henrich. And thirdly, never mind your clothes, for all I care you can have a potato bag and still be a shining star in a crowd. It's not a compliment I swear, but you have a kind of class which makes you stand out."
"Nikola, you are such a ..."
"Hey, guys!" Sam opened the door making both men jump in freight so high that they knocked their heads with the car ceiling. Sam chuckled, "Are you okay?" They nodded, Jack still rubbing the place where head hit the car.
"Well, I brought you coffee and some pastries. You wouldn't believe the line the shop had; I never knew so many people who got up this early, and why are you looking at me like that? "
"Carter, can you do a British accent?" Jack asked out of the blue.
"Nope. Why?"
"Major Carter, do you have a sister?"
"No, I have a brother, Mark. Why?" Teal'c and O'Neill exchanged a look. "Can someone tell me what's going on? I am somehow getting scared here."
"We just saw you with a guy. You had brown hair, though, and a British accent..." Jack trailed.
"Well, people often say that everybody has a double somewhere, maybe mine is here, and happens to be British," she dismissed quickly with a smile handing them their coffees. "Or maybe, you both need breakfast coz you are starting to hallucinate," she grinned.
Magnus POV
I entered the suite with Nikola hot in my heels and was about to go into the actual room when I suddenly realized it was time. I stopped and turned around towards Nikola and asked him to call Henry and Will.
"Why?" He asked me, frowning.
"You've known me like this from forever, Niko. But the last time Henry saw me with no covers, he was eight and Will, well, I believe he is ready now."
Nikola huffed something that I've pretended not to hear before he disappeared out of my room. He returned quickly, and five minutes later, there was a knock on my door. Nikola looked at me and told me to turn around; I did as he said and heard him opening the door.
"Well, our Magnus here wants to let you know one of her many secrets," Nikola says as I hear them coming closer and getting comfortable in the seating area. "Once you know this, you will join a not so large group of selected people."
"Hmm, William?"
"Yes?" he answers, shuffling in the loveseat showing how anxious he was to uncover whatever I'll reveal. "Do you remember that one time where you asked me why, if I looked younger than I am, covered myself with makeup?"
"Yes, you shrugged and didn't answer. I," Will clears his throat. "I asked Ashley the same. She told me, "dude! You killed her, but you haven't seen her without makeup?".
Yes, that sounds like something Ashley might have said. I smile despite the memories; I understand I can't keep them walking on egg shelves every time someone mentions her, even if it's barely six months since she left us.
"I asked her why she supposed I hadn't seen you without makeup. And she chuckled. She said that if I ever saw you without it, I would know why you used it. Are we talking about it now?"
"Yes, now you will know the truth. When I made serum and injected it into my bloodstream, I had just turned twenty-five," I add, and for some reason, I turn around nervously. I first watch Nikola, he has this gigantic reassuring grin. Then I look at Henry, and he grins at me.
"I knew I hadn't dreamt about that face, Doc," he says. And finally, I turn towards Will, and I can see his mind processing the new data. I know this 'revelation' will help him to understand me better. He smiles and nods, and I finally breathe again.
"How did it happened?" Will asks.
"I procured the blood; it was a rare sample and had cost me a small fortune. I kept it safe until the idea came to my mind and not letting the five know about it; I developed the serum, once I thought it was ready, I presented them with my finished idea. With enough persuasion my part, I forced them to agree that I was the only one who would try it. Then, if it didn't kill me and the supposedly miraculous effects where achieved, they would be injected with it too."
"Don't look at me like that, protege," Nikola warned. "She didn't give us much of an option. We all knew that if we didn't agree with her terms, she would do it anyway without any form of supervision when it happened. So, we agreed and set a date, and when the moment came, I injected her with the serum, and we stood by her side during two endless days. We could see she was in pain, and that something was happening to her; however, at the end of it, she was tired but unchanged."
"I tried a few things associated with the blood, but nothing seemed to be true."
"We were disappointed; we thought the powers given by the blood were only a myth used by the church to start their hunting. With the proofs at sight, we saved the blood and formula in a safe somewhere in the Sanctuary. And for the first time in almost five years, we parted ways," Tesla finished dramatically.
"As the days passed, I didn't notice the change or the lack of it. The years passed, and since I didn't stand in front of the mirror for too long, I never noticed. I needed five years to go by before they figured what had happened to me. When the five met again at a party, they saw what I had failed to see. They noticed I hadn't aged when they all did. Some days after that party, we met and supported each other while they went through the change."
"Once we finished the process, we came with an idea which would allow her lack of change to go unnoticed to the normal eye. We found her an actress, and she started to learn all the techniques that would help her age."
"It took me a couple of months to learn and years to perfect my new morning ritual, one that would achieve exactly the opposite than any other person wants from their makeup... I learned to age."
"Why?" William asks, and I can see he has trouble figuring a reason for this.
"When they did the change, I had my degree for years, William. But people were afraid of being treated by me. The reason wasn't that I was a woman; it was that I didn't look old enough to be a physician. Therefore, they didn't trust, or in the experience I had. Even abnormals didn't believe in me due to my appearance. Consider this: would you accept working for this me not knowing I am a hundred plus years old?" He analyzes it for a while.
"If we met in the same way?" I nod. "Probably not," I left out the breath I was holding.
"Well, if you that were somewhere between believer and skeptical wouldn't, you'll understand how a regular John Doe wouldn't trust me to be the leader I'm supposed to be."
"I guess I get it."
"I believe that since you already killed me once, because I asked you, you wouldn't doubt me simply for my looks." Will shook his head. "Henry? Anything to add?"
"Nah, I'm cool."
"Well, if that's all. I'll get changed and aged, and we can go have some breakfast."
"Doc?" Henry stops me before I reach the room's door, "How did you manage?" I can help but smile because I know he is referring to how I got out of the suite.
"Oh, I tell you how she did it," Nikola said. "Go, Helen, I'll keep the kids entertained."
I pick a feminine gray suit complete with a vest, a nice pair of Manolo Blahniks, and I once again age with makeup. Less than twenty minutes later, I emerge from my room, looking like my regular self.
"Are we ready?" I ask, giving my hair one last touch. The three men turned and looked at me with smiles on their faces; they nodded, and we start our way down.
"Dear Helen, are you pregnant?" Nikola asks once we are in the small space of the elevator. Henry and Will went white with that bold question. I chuckle
"Oh, Nikola, what gave you that idea? No, I'm not pregnant, and you know it. Thank you very much for asking."
"Well, I can't pinpoint what it is, but there's something different with you. You are positively glowing, my Dear, and I wanted to be sure. Huh, I supposed that two were more than enough," I shot Nikola a deathly glare. Nikola knows about Samantha, and he knows no one else knows, he rolls his eyes. "I remember James boring me to death with details about Henry and Ashley being a handful, I think those two were more than enough for at least another hundred years, what do you think Helen? A little vampire in a hundred years, perhaps?"
"Do you ever shut up, Vlad?" Henry interrupts him before I can come up with an answer. "Doc, where are we going? I'm starving!"
"We are walking down to Prague Sanctuary, it is a beautiful place," I say, I like what we did there, but this hotel is far better.
"How come we do not stay there then?" Will asks.
"I don't think you would like the catacombs."
"Oh, I adore Prague Sanctuary. It is lovely," Nikola smirks. He turns a little, and he shook his head, I think I heard him say, "Nah, impossible... it couldn't be…" before we continue moving forward.
A group of three men and a woman were walking past the car where Jack, Teal'c, and Sam were waiting for Daniel and Janet.
"Ok, that's it!" Sam huffed. "If you don't mind, sir, I'm going to the counter to ask them to call Daniel. He probably is still sleeping, and we will be stuck here for an eternity if we keep waiting for him to show up," She said, slamming the door closed and walking towards the hotel.
Sam was so concentrated in reaching the front desk that she never noticed the group containing what it could only be described as her double.
Jack's eyes went from Sam to Magnus until she disappeared into the crowd. There was something in that woman that made him remember their encounter with Doctor Carter from that parallel universe. He wished he would know what it was, but he didn't.
While he sat trying to figure that one out, another set of minutes had passed, and Sam knocked on the car window and rescued them from the car.
They met Daniel and Janet at the lobby, the Doctor's announced they had an open account at the hotel courtesy of Doctor Magnus, so they decided to make the first use of it by inviting the rest of SG-1 to join them for breakfast.
"Well, what do you know?" Jack asked after a while.
"Not much, as we supposed Doctor Magnus has loads of money. More than we imagine, I'll say. Henry mentioned this open account and also gave us a series of tours and other touristic options for us to choose."
"And the Magnus guy?"
"We haven't seen anyone except you guys and Henry."
"Well, Henry, the pilot, flight attendant, and those two weird guys at both customs," Janet added before she took a bite of her pineapple.
"Oh, for crying out loud!" Jack huffed. "I can't believe this! We moved all our contacts on Earth, and we have no reliable data about this Magnus. And here you were on their private plane and got nothing more than. 'They have loads of money.' Danny boy, did you even try asking?"
"I'm sorry you are frustrated, Jack." Daniel started. "Let me remind you, it wasn't my idea to come to sneak a peek on what could only be described as an elite member of the society. One who has not only loads of money but also has some degree of relationship with every major advance you may imagine, from archeology to computer sciences. Along with whatever thing may go in between them. Yes, I've asked. Henry didn't give much information about the Doc as he called him. You know, maybe you should go back and let me attend the freaking lecture alone! Maybe you should try and see if Thor knows something about this Magnus guy because all I know about them are the facts written in books, and for some reason, they are many references but no real data!" He ends almost shouting.
"Peachy! Just peachy! Can you both stop it!" Sam says, "you two are making a scene! And that is exactly the opposite of our orders! Sir..." she added later with widened eyes. Jack looked at her, outburst surprised before he realized she was right.
At that point, someone from the hotel staff came to check what all the noise was, and then he spotted Sam. He smiled and apologized to her before he left. They all stared at the young man in surprise, and then they eyed at Sam. No one could even start to imagine that the poor man had just confused Sam with the "Magnus guy."

Nikola's POV
I am already at the convention center. Somehow, I've managed to put myself in charge of greeting the guests. How did I end up here is beyond all logic. Yes, even mine.
Damned Helen and her charm!
I pace and welcome people; I know most of them, almost everyone worked for an enterprise related to or at the Sanctuary. And whoever didn't know me by looks, had gotten widened eyes when I told them who I was.
The 'no abnormal chatter, there's an outsider this year' was passed to all. Some kept their glasses, hats, scarves on to protect their nature from the outsider's eyes. And now, I'm stuck hearing all boring topics, such as 'if the eagle points left, it means..' or, 'I believe two vertical lines with one horizontal line mean..'
The truth is, I hate archeologists! They manage to take the fun out of everything. I do remember fondly accompanying Helen during many excavations and helping her with translations involving the dark and death vampire language. My favorite dates to 1928, when we traveled to Giza and found that strange ring, it was a pity that at the time, Helen couldn't afford to keep it. I sigh and do a headcount before placing a call.
"Magnus?"
"Helen, I believe they are all in here," I said.
"Already? It's Dr. Jackson in there?"
"Well, apparently, no. Never mind, your special guest seems to have arrived. Dr. Jackson, I presume?" I ask as he looks around the room in a highly uncomfortable way.
"Yes, I am Dr. Daniel Jackson, and you are?" The background noise at the phone reaches new levels, and I frown, it doesn't sound right.
"Dear God! I'm sorry, Nikola, I must go. I will call you in a second. Will, get Henry we need stunners and ..." she said to my ears before her voice is lost. I guess not sounding good was an understatement.
"Magnus?" I said to her; I know it was in vain because I'm listening to the sounds of an ended call. "Damn!" Dr. Jackson's eyes widen. 'Manners Nikola,' I think, and then give him a charming smile if I must say so myself.
"You are Dr. Magnus?" The young Dr. seems confused and a bit disappointed, perhaps?
"This is how you expected a Dr. Magnus to be?" I said, pointing to myself and chuckling. Well, I would expect someone older, white beard, not too handsome, someone like Helen's father, maybe?
"Not really," He says apologetically, and I have to smile at him, mainly because I'm still trying to imagine Helen's father in here.
"Well, then you'll be correct. I am not Dr. Magnus; I'm Nikola Tesla. You can call me Nikola or Tesla, everyone picks its own," I shrug. "You must be the one who has peaked Magnus interest, hmm. Oh, well, at least you do look good," I say in an annoyed tone.
"Nikola Tesla? Hmm, Nikola Tesla; why do your name ring a bell?" Seriously, what are they teaching at school nowadays?
"You're kidding? Radio, electricity and many other genius things," I say, trying not to sound so pleased with myself, but I know I failed miserably.
"So, you're what? The great-grandkid or something?" I sighed. Damn! What to answer? Let's take the easy way out.
"Or something," I agree before the bell saves me. "Excuse me a second," I say to him, taking my phone out and sliding my finger to answer the call. "Helen, what's wrong?
"Nikola, the Sanctuary, got word of people who seem to be reporting a reptile-like creature attacking a neighboring village. The retrieval team was already in the area; however, three of the four members are injured. A medical team will retrieve them for treatment, but that means there are no more available teams close by, and we still have an abnormal on the loose. Henry, Will, and I are going to the village to stop capture the creature and put it under our protection. I cannot do the lecture now, so I hope you can do it for me?"
"Of course, my dear. Where are you now?" If I start a happy dance, it would be too obvious?
"I'm flying the Prague secondary helicopter to the village; otherwise, we'll be there too late. If it makes you feel better, Will hates when I fly so much that he is cursing in every language he knows, which to tell you the truth is mainly English." By the tone of her voice, I know she is smiling, and I can picture Doctor Protege's eyes roll.
"Ok, so I let you go hunting then. Have a good hunt, Helen dearest."
"Nikola, wait! I need to apologize to those people. I need you to put me on the speakers."
"How am I supposed to do that? You called me on my cell phone, remember? "
"I thought you were the genius." I can feel her smirk, "Just go and plug your cell phone to the equipment!"
"Yeah, because I always bring those annoying cables everywhere just for the fun of the ride!" I roll my eyes, even though it has no point because she can't see me. "Never mind, I'll do my thing, give me a second. Women!" I said under my breath, even if I know Helen can hear me.
"You know? When you talk under your breath, you are supposed to be at a non-hearing range of the person who gets you saying it in the first place," she laughs, God I love her laugh.
"Hilarious Helen," I tell her instead. "Ladies and Gentlemen, please take a sit we are about to start," I say loud enough to be heard. "First, our dear Helen has some bad news for you," I use the time that takes to the crowd to find a sit to wander to the sound controls and find something that can get current from A to B and with a little twist of my magic finger, I get the phone connected. "Helen, dear, you are through," I say as I walk and stop right next to Doctor Jackson.
"Thanks, Nikola," her voice fills the room, "Ladies and Gentlemen, Madames et Monsieurs."
"You have to love her French is beautiful, her Polish thought… not good," I whisper to the Archeologist.
"Doctor Magnus is a woman?" He blinks a couple of times utterly dumbfounded.
"And a remarkable one," I grin.
"I have worked with most of you on occasion. For that reason alone, most of you will know that even though I have a strict schedule, it's not unusual for me not to follow it when something unexpected occurs. What is the Sanctuary if not a fountain of unexpected actions. Currently, my team is on the way to an emergency site. Sadly, this means I won't be able to do this lecture; I am truly sorry. I wanted to be the one telling the story since it is a fascinating one. However, I'll let you in the accomplished hands of my old friend Nikola. I think most of you already know him, worked with him and probably hated him."
"Not funny, Helen," I say, she giggles.
"Sorry, Nikola I couldn't help it if I tried. This year there is one person in the room who is unfamiliar to all of you. I like to introduce Dr. Daniel Jackson. What you all need to know is that Dr. Jackson had some unusual ideas in the past that had discredited him even though they are closer to our truth than to the one we read in the books. Doctor Jackson, I hope our thoughts, facts, and unique point of view help you. I am truly sorry and most displeased with not having a chance of meeting you in person."
"I guess we'll meet on another occasion, Doctor Magnus," he says awkwardly loud.
"Yes, of course. Well, I'm getting angry looks from my passengers here; I don't think they like the idea of their pilot chattering over the phone when she is about to land." She chuckled, "So, without any further comments, I leave you with Nikola."
"Not an issue at all, Helen!"
"Nikola! Please stay on topic; you have two days to finish it. And they don't have time to learn your global domination plans," She says with a playful tone.
"Well, you kind of killed the last two schemes," I mutter. Someone could hear that, and I am kind of embarrassed by my failures.
"This is SP19AB; we are ready to land, SP234G is coming with extra doctors. Oh! Sorry if I forgot to hang out. Goodbye, have a great time there!" I walk to the sound console again and disconnect my phone before I walk to the front, ready to start it.
"As we all know, the Egyptians evolved extraordinarily. They were the first to show a nonlinear evolving method…"

Sam's POV
"Hi, I'm here looking, " I manage to say to the guy at the front desk before he looks up and interrupts me.
"Ashley? Is that you?" He asks.
"No, I am Samantha Carter."
"Oh, and you are with the Magnus party? " he grins at me as if there's some inside joke I've don't know.
"No? I'm here to see my friends, Dr. Jackson, and Dr. Fraisier." He grins.
"Yes, yes, from the Magnus party," he claps his hands. "I understand it now. They are the only ones remaining here. The Doctors and, hum, what was his name? Oh, yes, Mr. Foss! They left already two days ago. And there was one more, the other man." I try to interrupt him, but he doesn't give me a chance. "Well, if you were looking for the other man, he already left too. You missed him for a couple of minutes."
"I'm just searching for Doctor Jackson?" I manage to say as he checks his watch.
"So you aren't with the Magnus party?" He asks once again, and I shook my head no. "Oh, crap! I'm sorry, I'm not supposed to say such things. Once again, I apologize, Miss. Doctor Jackson, you've said?" I nod. "He was expecting some friends by the pool."
"Thanks, Mr …" I read his name before continuing "Brodsky."
"Oh, Miss," he comes quickly to my side. "Please forgive me; I didn't mean to divulge all the information. I know it was a test and I failed but please don't tell my superiors about this. We can't lose your account."
"There's nothing to worry, I won't tell them anything," I smile, and he thanks me several times until the elevator doors were closed, leaving him behind.
I spot my friends quickly as they are loud, walking towards them and find myself seated next to the Colonel.
"Yes, Daniel, can you get over the fact that this Magnus guy is, in fact, a Magnus Girl," the Colonel groans, then he nods at me like an acknowledgment of sorts.
"I wonder what else would've she said if she was the one giving the lecture. The general comment was that she probably would've disclosed even more information."
"About the Egyptians..." Jack rolled his eyes.
"Yes! No! Jack! They presented a very complete and accurate history of them. Not only about the people but their technology!" Daniel sounds excited.
"Kind of accurate as in ..." Jack raises an eyebrow.
"Get this:" he leans in and gestures us to do the same. "Goa'ulds!" he whispers. "Hell, Jack! The man giving the lecture read Goa'uld language fluidly!"
"The man? I thought we established that Doctor Magnus was a Girl."
"Not her!Tesla! According to the people I've talked to, he is a genius. Some said he is very close to Doctor Magnus, and he can read Goa'uld as if it was plain English, he's more fluid than I am!"
"Okay, he read it. So what? I'll take he was an Archeologist, aren't they all supposed to be trained to read these things?"
"No, Jack. Not like that!"
"He might have practiced."
"Okay, let's say he practiced those translations until he knew them by heart. Now, tell me how are you going to debate the fact that he explained precisely how they entered on their victims and how much control they had over them," Jack opens his mouth to speak, and then he closes it again.
"Did you say, Tesla?" I ask to be sure I heard correctly
"Yes, Nikola Tesla, he said," Daniel says like it is a common name.
"Like in THE Nikola Tesla? Electricity, radio," I trail.
"Yeah, he mentioned those. He said he was the grandchildren or something," That's plain weird if I recall correctly…
"He said he was related?"
"He agreed on the 'or something.' Why?"
"Tesla was an only child and was not married. There was even a myth about him keeping himself virgin so the sexual energy wouldn't taint his creative spirit," Jack raised his eyebrows, and I giggle.
"Ok, so this Tesla man speaks fluid Goa'uld. Now, what are the chances of him being one?"
"Well, he didn't do the glowing eyes or doubled voice," Daniel shrugs.
"We know, thanks to the Jolinar experience that they can use the host voice," Jack points.
"I'm not a Goa'uld detector," Daniel rolls his eyes. Jack sighs.
"I think we need to get a line of investigation. Find anything we can about this Tesla guy and the Magnus girl," Jack's says I can tell from the tone in his voice he is concerned.
"Maybe I can go and talk to the guy?" Daniel offers.
"Well, that would be the wisest thing," I agree. "But the Magnus party left two days ago, and the only one who remained had checked out minutes before I got here. I'll take that the last one to go was the man doing to the conference and thus, that makes him Nikola Tesla. "
"How do you know?" Daniel asks.
"Well, the man at the front desk blurted it all out."
"Why would he do that? Isn't it against confidentiality policy or something?" Janet says, with a frown.
"He called me Ashley first."
"So, there's an Ashley with no last name in this group," Jack says, "and somehow she could be confused with Sam," he finishes looking at Teal'c.
"The woman we observed." Teal'c agrees.
"Maybe there's a way to search people who look like you, Carter."
"I'll check it, but facial recognition software is still not as good."
"Not as good is better than not at all," Jack pointed.
"Maybe we should add Henry Foss too. He said he was tech support, but he direct has access to Magnus," Daniel provides.
I guess we have plenty of research to do in the foreseeable future. Hopefully, something interesting will happen that will take us from this subject. I may be well trained, have tons of expertise in unaccountable fields (according to Jack), but I'm not comfortable stalking rich people.
