As they traveled through the vastness of space, the group met in the queen's royal throne room inside the ship to commend R2-D2 for saving their lives. R2-D2 was all dirty from the work of having to repair the shield generator during their escape from the Trade Federation blockade at Naboo. Queen Amidala sat on her throne in the room with two of her handmaidens standing at her sides while Captain Panaka stood before her, presenting the droid who helped them escape from the blockade.
"An extremely well-put-together little droid, Your Highness. Without a doubt, it saved the ship, as well as our lives." Panaka says
"It is to be commended. What is it's number?" Queen Amidala asks
R2 chirps and beeps as Captain Panaka examined the droid and found it's number.
"R2-D2, Your Highness." Panaka says
"Thank you, R2-D2." Queen Amidala says
R2-D2 gave off happy chirps.
"Padmé." Queen Amidala calls
The handmaiden, Padmé steps forward from the queen's right.
"Clean this droid up as best as you can. It deserves our gratitude." Queen Amidala says smiling
R2-D2 whistles.
"Continue, Captain." Queen Amidala says
Captain Panaka turns and looks toward Qui-gon, who steps forward.
"Your Highness, with your permission, we are heading for a remote planet called Tatooine. It's on a system far beyond the reach of the Trade Federation." Qui-Gon says
"I do not agree with the Jedi on this." Panaka says
"You must trust my judgment, Your Highness. And I would like to introduce a very special friend that me and my Padawan encountered on the planet." Qui-Gon says
Devon steps forward and places his right-hand on his chest, bowing in respect for the queen.
"Greetings, Your Highness. My apologies for not introducing myself earlier. My name is Devon. I'm a Keyblade Wielder of Light. A guardian to all living beings. It is an absolute privilege to meet you in your presence."
Queen Amidala kindly smiles and nods her head to the young teen.
"The honor is mine, Devon. Not many Keyblade Wielders like yourself are spoken throughout the galaxy. Your race is almost as ancient as the Jedi themselves." Queen Amidala says
"Then as Master Qui-Gon said, I would happen to be the most recent Keyblade Wielder to visit your home despite these trying times. I understand that you and your people are undergoing a terrible conflict as shown by the invasion of the Trade Federation. But I promise, I will do all in my power to help free your planet from their tyranny, and I will ensure that no harm comes to you or your people." Devon says
Devon summons his Keyblade: Soul Calibur, turns it over, and kneels before Queen Amidala.
"As a Keyblade Wielder of benevolent holy light, I offer you my services and my protection alongside Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Jedi Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi." Devon says
"Such noble words could not be spoken evermore by a great one such as yourself, Devon. I shall gladly accept your aid and your protection. You are a true friend to me and my people. Thank you." Queen Amidala says
Devon nods his head with a gentle smile.
"You are most welcome, Your Highness. I look forward to standing by your side as your humble guardian. If ever you need of me, my heart, my Keyblade, my service is yours." Devon says
Once the meeting with Queen Amidala was over, Padmé was in the crew chambers inside the ship, cleaning R2-D2 with a cloth as she wipes black smudges off him. While she was working, the young handmaiden looked over at her right and saw Devon sitting by himself at a table.
"Excuse me." Padmé says
Devon turns and looks toward Padmé.
"The Queen certaintly has taken a liking to you. That speech you gave was truly inspiring." Padmé says
Devon smiles.
"Why thank you. I am truly honored to hear you say that." Devon says
Padmé smiled at Devon's friendly nature.
"I'm Padmé. Your name is Devon, right?"
Devon nods his head and smiles.
"That's my name and I'm happy to live by it. It's nice to meet you, Padmé." Devon says
"You're a really nice boy. If only a lot of people in the galaxy were as kind and friendly as you are." Padmé says
"I wish that too. There are not many good people in the world. Your Queen is truly a great ruler. Perhaps once we reach fix the ship and reach Coruscant, we may find a solution to free your planet so that you and your people may find peace." Devon says
Padmé looks down, feeling bad that such a terrible thing like the Trade Federation's invasion happened to her planet.
"I hope so." Padmé says
"Have faith, Padmé. I will do everything in my power to help save your people." Devon says
Devon walks over to Padmé and takes her hand.
"You have my word as a Keyblade Wielder." Devon says
Padmé smiles and blushes a bit.
"So, you're a Keyblade Wielder, right? I hear they're almost similar to a Jedi in every way." Padmé says
"Well, as our name says, we wield Keyblades. Not lightsabers what the Jedi wield." Devon says
"How did you become a Keyblade Wielder anyway?" Padmé says
"I was chosen by my Keyblade to become it's wielder. If one's heart is pure, the Keyblade shall choose it's wielder. My Keyblade chose me to be it's wielder. And as a wielder of the Keyblade, I have been granted many wonderous gifts and abilities I don't think even the Jedi could match." Devon says
"How long have you been a Keyblade Wielder?" Padmé asks
"A year, at least." Devon says
"Where are your parents? Your mother? Your father?" Padmé asks
Devon looks away from Padmé with a sad look on his face. R2 let out a saddened moan, almost as if it knew the fate of Devon's parents, feeling bad for the young teen. Padmé could see the sad expression on Devon's face and she must've realized.
"Oh... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to..." Padmé apologizes
Devon shakes his head dismissively.
"No. It's okay. You didn't know." Devon says
"Were your mother and father Keyblade Wielders like you?" Padmé asks
"Oh, they were the best. The greatest in all the world. But now, they're gone..." Devon says
"I'm sure they would've been very proud of you." Padmé says
"Thanks, Padmé. You don't know how much that means to me. Why don't I help you clean R2." Devon says
R2-D2 whistles and beeps as if he was saying he'd appreciate Devon's help. The young teen grabs a nearby cloth and helps Padmé clean off the droid. Devon and Padmé smile at each other. Then, they were paid a visit by Jar Jar.
"Hello." Jar Jar greets
Devon, Padmé, and R2 look over at Jar Jar, who stood at the doorway.
"Sorry. Husa are yousa?" Jar Jar asks
"I'm Padmé."
"I'm Devon."
"Mesa Jar Jar Binks."
"You're a Gungan, aren't you?" Padmé asks
"Uh-huh." Jar Jar says nodding his head
"How'd you end up here with us?" Padmé asks
"Yeah. I've been wondering that myself." Devon says
"My no know. Meesa day starten' pitty okeday wida brisky mornin' munchen. Den boom! Getten berry scared, and grabbin' dat Jedi, and pow, meesa here. Huh. Meesa getten berry, berry scared." Jar Jar says
Devon and Padmé look up at Jar Jar smiling while R2 chirped and whistled.
(Tatooine)
After traveling through the vastness of space, the group eventually reach the desert planet, Tatooine, a world far from the galactic center in the Outer Rim Territories.
Tatooine was a desert world that was part of the Outer Rim Territories. It was inhabited by poor locals, who mostly farmed moisture for a living. The planet acquired a bad reputation, often being viewed as the cesspool of the galaxy due to the large number of criminals who could be found there.
Tatooine was home to the Dune Sea, an enormous sodium-rich desert, the Mushroom Mesa, a vast formation of giant standing stones, and the Jundland Wastes, a rocky region. Tatooine orbited two suns, Tatoo I and Tatoo II, so the days were extremely arid and bright. Despite the harsh desert landscape, there were many major cities on Tatooine. Most notable was Mos Eisley and Mos Espa. Tatooine was home to many species, including those from many parts of the galaxy.
The natives of the planet were Tusken Raiders, or Sand People as some would call them, and Jawas, who were small hooded creatures, while immigrants to the planet were mostly humans along with several other different species such as the Hutts who controlled the planet.
"That's it. Tatooine." Olié says
"There's a small settlement." Obi-Wan says
"Land in the outskirts. We don't want to attract any attention." Qui-Gon says
The crew land the ship in the outskirts far outside of Mos Espa. When they landed, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon inspects the hyperdrive.
"The hyperdrive generator's gone, Master. We'll need a new one." Obi-Wan says
"That'll complicate things. But be wary, I sense a disturbance in the Force." Qui-Gon says
"I feel it also, Master." Obi-Wan says
"Don't let them send any transmissions." Qui-Gon says
Having said that, Qui-Gon makes preparations to explore the planet.
Devon, Qui-Gon, Jar Jar, and R2-D2 exit the ship and began heading toward Mos Espa in the distance.
"Dis sun doen murder to mesa skin." Jar Jar says
"Wait!" A voice calls out
The trio stop and turn to see Padmé and Captain Panaka walking toward them.
"Wait. Her Highness commands to take her handmaiden with you." Panaka says
"No more commands from her Highness today, Captain. The spaceport is not going to be pleasant." Qui-Gon says
"The Queen wishes it. She's curious about the planet." Panaka says
Qui-Gon thought to himself for a moment, but reluctantly accepts the new addition to the party.
"This is not a good idea." Qui-Gon says
"It's okay. We'll keep her safe. Stay close to us, my lady." Devon says
Now with Padmé joining them, Devon, Qui-Gon, Jar Jar and R2-D2 head for the city of Mos Espa, one of the major cities of Tatooine, while Panaka heads back to the ship.
The group arrives at Mos Espa and walked among the settlement. Devon looked around and saw all kinds of alien species and creatures around him. He saw some speeders driving through the streets while most of the people just walked on foot. He looked over to his left and saw a Dewback being led by a human. The young teen was amazed at the sights around him, despite having been warned about it's bad reputation.
"Moisture farms, for the most part. Some indigenous tribes and scavengers. A few spaceports like this are havens for those who don't wish to be found." Qui-Gon says
"Like us." Padmé says
The party looks around for shops that would have the parts required to repair the ship.
"So, where should we start?" Devon asks
"We'll try one of the smaller dealers." Qui-Gon says
Qui-Gon heads for a shop on his left and the group follows him. The shop was owned by a Toydarian junk dealer named Watto.
Watto was as stated a male Toydarian junk dealer/human trafficker, who owned a shop in Mos Espa. He had blue skin and orange eyes. As a Toydarian, he had two wings, facial tusks, a short, elephant-like snout, and three fingers and toes. He mostly spoke English, but he also spoke in Huttese language.
The bell to the store dings as the group enters. Watto hearing the bells flaps his wings and flies up to greet the group.
"Gooddé da lodia. Hi chuba da naga? (Good day to you. What do you want?)" Watto says in Huttese
"I need parts for a J-type 327 Nubian Starship." Qui-Gon says
"Ah, yes! Nubian. We have lots of that." Watto says
The Toydarian turns around and calls out to someone further in the shop.
"Peedunkee, cabo de unko! (Boy, get in here!)" Watto says in Huttese
"My droid has the specs for the parts I need." Qui-Gon says
Soon, a young boy named Anakin Skywalker enters the shop, running into the room.
Anakin Skywalker was a young male human boy who had blond hair, blue eyes, and fair white skin. Despite his age, he was a very well talented young boy. He could speak multiple languages such as Huttese and Dug.
"Coona tee-tocky malia? (What took you so long?)" Watto asks in Huttese
"Mi tassa cho-passa." (I was cleaning the light switches.)" Anakin says in Huttese
"Chut, chut. Gando doe wallya. Me dwana no bata." (Watch the store. I have some selling to do.)" Watto says in Huttese
After speaking to the boy, Watto turns back to Qui-Gon.
"So, let me take you out back, uh? Ni you'll find what you need." Watto chuckles
Qui-Gon follows Watto outside to his junkyard in back of the shop, but before heading outside, he saw Jar Jar touching several objects in the shop.
"Don't touch anything." Qui-gon says
Having said that, Qui-Gon follows Watto outside. While his back was turned, Jar Jar sticks out his long tongue at the Jedi Master. He then notices a DUM-series pit droids deactivated.
DUM-series pit droids were used for labor, repair and light construction. These droids came in an assortment of colors. Their most remarkable feature was their immense strength, able to carry objects many times their own size or weight. This enabled them to repair vehicles at a face pace. Pit droids could compress themselves into a compact, disk-shaped package. A tap on their "nose" would signal them to return to their upright position, and vice-versa. There were also launchers specifically made to automatically decompress and release individual pit droids, one at a time. The antenna on their disk-shaped heads served as a means of communication with other droids, allowing a group of them to collaborate on a project more efficiently and thereby expediting its completion.
While Jar Jar curiously examined the pit droid, Anakin spoke with Devon and Padmé at the counter as they sat on stools.
"Are you an angel?" Anakin asks
"A what?" Padmé asks
"An angel. I've heard the deep space pilots talk about them. They're the most beautiful creatures in the universe. They live on the moons of Iego, I think." Anakin says
"You're a funny little boy." Padmé says amused
"How do you know so much?" Devon asks
"I listen to all the traders and star pilots who come through here. I'm a pilot, you know, and someday, I'm gonna fly away from this place." Anakin says
"You're a pilot?" Padmé asks
"Mm-hmm. All my life." Anakin says
"How long have you been here?" Devon asks
"Since I was very little. Three, I think. My mom and I were sold to Gardulla the Hutt, but she lost betting us in Pod Races." Anakin says
"You're a slave?" Devon and Padmé ask in unison
"I'm a person, and my name is Anakin."
"We're sorry. We don't fully understand this place. It's all very new to us." Padmé says
"Yeah. We've only just arrived and we don't know this planet very well." Devon says
The trio soon notice Jar Jar activating the pit droid by tapping it's nose. The pit droid jumps to life and walks around the shop.
"Wha! Where-Wheres yousa goin?" Jar Jar says
Jar Jar tries to subdue the droid, but he stumbles and falls to the floor. The pit droid laughs. Devon and Padmé couldn't help but laugh themselves. Jar Jar manages to pick up the droid by it's neck.
"Hey!" Anakin says
Jar Jar and the pit droid look toward Anakin while the droid kicks the Gungan in the groin with it's right-foot. But somehow, it didn't faze Jar Jar.
"Huh?" Jar Jar says
"Hit the nose." Anakin says
"Oh." Jar Jar says
Jar Jar drops the droid and taps it's nose, making it compress into it's deactivated mode.
Outside the shop, Qui-Gon and Watto were walking through the junkyard, talking about business while a few pit droids were working on scrapping parts from the destroyed machinery and vehicles.
"A T-14 hyperdrive generator? Thee in luck. I'm the only one hereabout who has it. But, uh, thee might as well buy yourself a new ship. It would be cheaper, huh? Heh heh. Saying of which, how's thee gonna pay for all this, huh?" Watto says
"I have 20,000 Republic Dataries." Qui-Gon says
"Republic credits? Republic credits are no good out here. I need something more real." Watto says
"I don't have anything else, but credits will do fine." Qui-Gon says waving his right-hand
"No, they won't." Watto says
"Credits will do fine." Qui-Gon says waving his hand again
"No, they won't! What, you think you're some kind of Jedi, waving your hand around like that? I'm a Toydarian! Mind tricks don't work on me. Only money. No money, no parts, no deal! And no one else has a T-14 hyperdrive, I promise you that." Watto says
Qui-Gon bows his head and walks back into the shop.
Inside, Anakin was still talking to Devon and Padmé.
"Wouldn't have lasted much longer if I wasn't so good at building things." Anakin says
Jar Jar was juggling some objects frantically.
"We're leaving, Jar Jar, Devon." Qui-Gon says
"Alright." Devon says
"Whaaa!" Jar Jar exclaims
Jar Jar stumbles and falls over dropping everything, knocking some things in the store down in the process, making loud clanging noises.
"I am glad to have met you, Anakin." Padmé says
"We both were." Devon says
"I was glad to meet you too." Anakin says
Devon, Qui-Gon, Padmé, R2-D2 and Jar Jar head out of the shop. As soon as they were gone, Watto flies over to Anakin.
"Ootmians. Tinka me chasa hopoe ma booty na nolia. (Outlanders. They think we know nothing.)" Watto says in Huttese
"La lova num botaffa. (They seemed nice to me.)" Anakin says in Huttese
"Fweepa niaga. Tolpa da bunky dunko. (Clean the racks, then you can go home.)" Watto says in Huttese
"Yippee!" Anakin says
While Anakin goes to do his chores, Watto looks back at the exit of his shop. He couldn't help but feel he would see the group again.
Later that day, Qui-Gon spoke with Obi-Wan through a comlink back to the ship.
"And you're sure there's nothing left onboard?" Qui-Gon asks
"A few containers of supplies. The queen's wardrobe maybe, but not enough for you to barter with. Not enough in the amounts your talking about." Obi-Wan says
"Alright. I'm sure another solution will present itself. I'll check back later." Qui-Gon says
Qui-Gon hangs up and was about to head out when Jar Jar stops him.
"Noah gain. Noah gain. Da beings hereabouts, cawazy! Wesa be wobbed un crunched." Jar Jar says
"Not likely. We have nothing of value. And that's our problem." Qui-Gon says
Devon, Qui-Gon, Padmé, R2-D2 and Jar Jar head back out into the city and walked through the streets. They pass by several marketplaces. One of them had Gorgs which caught Jar Jar's eye.
Gorgs were small amphibians that could be found on several planets. They were favored as food by many humanoid species, either dried, fricasseed, or roasted in manak leaves.
"Hmm? Ah, mooie-mooie." Jar Jar says
Jar Jar takes his tongue and grabs the Gorg in his mouth. A nearby vendor notices and speaks out to Jar Jar.
"Ey! Ey! U wamma wanga? (Are you gonna pay for that?)" The vendor says in Huttese
Jar Jar looks toward the vendor with the Gorg in his mouth.
"Huh? Wanga?" Jar Jar says with his mouth stuffed
"Toe hawa wupiupi. (It costs seven wupiupi.)" The vendor says in Huttese
"Wupiupi?!" Jar Jar exclaims
Jar Jar spits the Gorg out of his mouth in shock at the cost. Unfortunately, the Gorg inadvertently ruined Sebulba's meal in the process.
Sebulba was a male Dug hailing from the Mid Rim planet Malastare. He had incredible piloting skills and was a popular Pod Racer. He was also a well-known arch-rival of Anakin Skywalker. As a Dug, Sebulba used his upper limbs for locomotion and his lower limbs for grappling. He had brown skin, yellow eyes, fin-like ears and pronounced snouts.
"Ah! Chuba!" Sebulba exclaims
Jar Jar looks over at his mistake and was shocked.
"Oops." Jar Jar says
Jar Jar tries to hide himself in the crowd, whistling to himself innocently. Sebulba sets his sights on Jar Jar and growls in anger. He kicks Jar Jar to the ground, making him fall back.
"Ni chuba ni? (Is this yours?)" Sebulba asks speaking in Huttese
"Who? Mesa?" Jar Jar says
Sebulba grabs Jar Jar by his throat.
"Gah!" Jar Jar exclaims
The group looks back and notices Jar Jar in trouble.
"Kulka du pom pom. Mmmm?" Sebulba says
Sebulba was about to beat Jar Jar to a pulp when Anakin approaches, causing him to stop.
"Chess ko Sebulba. Cha porkman outman geesa. Mee teesa rodda co pana pee choppa chawa. (Careful, Sebulba. He's a big time outlander. I'd hate to see you get diced before we race again.)" Anakin says speaking in Huttese
"Neek me chawa, wermo, mo killee ma ka nunkee. Otoh noto wo shag du wompity. (Next time we race boy, it will be the end of you. If you weren't a slave I'd squash you right now.)" Sebulba says speaking in Huttese
"Eh, che bana do mullee ra. (Yeah, it'd be a pity if you had to pay for me.)" Anakin says speaking in Huttese
Sebulba lets go of Jar Jar, pushes the Gungan down, and walks away. As he does, Devon, Qui-Gon, Padmé, and R2-D2 walk back to Jar Jar and Anakin.
"Hi." Anakin says
"Hey there." Qui-Gon says
"Hey." Devon says
"Your buddy here was about to be turned into orange goo. He picked a fight with a Dug, an especially dangerous Dug called Sebulba." Anakin says
Devon helped Jar Jar to his feet.
"Mesa haten crunchen. Das da las ting mesa want." Jar Jar says
"Nevertheless, the boy is right. You were heading into trouble." Qui-Gon says
Qui-Gon looks toward Anakin.
"Thanks, my young friend." Qui-Gon says
"But-But-But mesa doen nutten'!" Jar Jar says
A sandstorm blew in near the Queen's Starship. Obi-Wan and Captain Panaka stood outside the ship, assessing the situation.
"This storm will slow them down!" Obi-Wan says
"Looks pretty bad." Panaka says
Captain's Panaka's comlink starts ringing. He takes the communication device from his pocket and answers.
"Panaka." Panaka says
"We're receiving a message from home." A guard says
"We'll be right there." Panaka says
With that said, Obi-Wan and Captain Panaka head back to the ship to investigate.
Back in Mos Espa, Devon, Qui-Gon, Padmé, R2-D2 and Jar Jar were now with Anakin searching for another way to resolve their situation. They stood near Jira's Food stand.
"Here, you'll like these pallies. Here." Anakin says handing Qui-Gon some pallies
"Thank you." Qui-Gon says
Anakin also hands Devon some pallies as well.
"Here." Anakin says handing Devon some pallies
"Thanks, Anakin. You're very generous." Devon says
Pallies were juicy, sweet fruits grown in underground farms on Tatooine and sold in the markets of Mos Espa.
Anakin looked back toward Qui-Gon and was astonished to see a lightsaber clipped to his waist when he opened his poncho.
"Oh, my bones are aching. Storm's coming up, Ani. You better get home quick." Jira says
Jira was a poor, elderly woman who ran the food stand in the Mos Espa marketplace on Tatooine. She had grey hair and green eyes. She was a very kind woman who shared a mutual friendship with Anakin.
"Do you have shelter?" Anakin asks looking toward Qui-Gon
"We'll head back to our ship." Qui-Gon says
"Is it far?" Anakin asks
"It's on the outskirts." Padmé says
"You'll never reach the outskirts in time. Sandstorms are very, very dangerous." Anakin says
"Do you know any place we can stay, Anakin?" Devon asks
"Yeah. C'mon. I'll take you to my place." Anakin says
Devon, Qui-Gon, Padmé, R2-D2 and Jar Jar followed Anakin back to his home.
It wasn't long before the sandstorm started blowing in on Mos Espa. Everyone had to cover their eyes to shield them from the annoying sand blowing in their face. The party soon reaches Anakin's home and head inside. Anakin shook out his head of sand, then calls out to his mother.
"Mom! Mom, I'm home!" Anakin says
Anakin's Mother, Shmi Skywalker came out from the corner of another room.
Shmi Skywalker had brown hair, brown eyes and a light skin color. Shmi was kind, peaceful, compassionate, and polite, despite her years of slavery. She was selfless, willing to sacrifice anything for her son. She loved and cared for Anakin more than anything, and desperately wanted him to have a better life, knowing that there was something special about him. Shmi was a lot like Devon's Mother, Shara, and had a lot in common with her.
"Ahh, dissen cozy." Jar Jar says
Shmi looks on confused at the sight of the strangers.
"These are my friends, mom." Anakin says
"Hello." Jar Jar greets
Qui-Gon turns to Shmi Skywalker and introduces himself.
"I'm Qui-Gon Jinn. Your son was kind enough to offer us shelter."
Anakin looks over at Devon and Padmé.
"I'm building a new droid. You wanna see?" Anakin asks
The young boy takes hold of Padmé's right-hand and shows her to his room.
"C'mon. I'll show you C-3PO." Anakin says
Devon and R2-D2 follows them into Anakin's room. Inside, Anakin pulls back a shroud, revealing an incomplete 3PO-series Protocol Droid. This humanoid droid had no cover plating, it's parts and wires were exposed, and it's right-eye was missing.
"Isn't he great? He's not finished yet." Anakin says
"He's wonderful." Padmé says
"Wonder what he'll look like when he's finished." Devon says
"You really like him? He's a protocol droid to help mom. Watch." Anakin says
Anakin presses a button on C-3PO and activates him.
"Oh! Oh. Uh... Where is everybody?" C-3PO says sitting up
"Whoops." Anakin says
Anakin finds C-3PO's missing eye nearby on his right and puts it into place on the droid's head.
"Oh, hello. I am C-3PO, human-cyborg relations. How might I serve you?"
"He's perfect." Padmé says
"Oh, perfect." C-3PO says bashfully upon hearing the comment
"When the storm is over, I'll show you my racer. I'm building a podracer." Anakin says
C-3PO stood up and walked around the room. His movements weren't really stable as he hadn't been activated in a while.
"I'm not sure this floor is entirely stable." C-3PO says looking down at the floor
C-3PO soon notices R2-D2 on his left as the droid beeps, gaining his attention.
"Oh, hello. I don't think we have been introduced." C-3PO says
R2-D2 gave off excited whistles and beeps as if to introduce himself.
"R2-D2. A pleasure to meet you. I am C-3PO, human-cyborg relations."
R2-D2 chirps and beeps as if to tell C-3PO something.
"I beg your pardon, but what do you mean, 'naked'?" C-3PO asks
R2-D2 chirps again, telling C-3PO what he meant.
"My parts are showing! My goodness! Oh!" C-3PO exclaims embarrassed
Devon, Anakin, and Padmé laughed.
Obi-Wan, Queen Amidala, Captain Panaka, and the rest of the crew aboard the ship watched the transmission that Sio Bibble sent them from the royal throne room.
"The death toll is catastrophic. We must bow to their wishes. You must contact me." Sio Bibble says
Obi-Wan knew better than to trust the transmission. It could very well be a trick used by the Trade Federation to lure them back, or at least trace them to Tatooine.
"It's a trick. Send no reply. Send no transmission of any kind." Obi-Wan says
Obi-Wan steps out of the room to inform his Jedi Master and the others.
Over at Anakin's home, Qui-Gon steps away from the group, standing over at another room as he heard about the message from his Padawan.
"It sounds like bait to establish a connection trace." Qui-Gon says
"What if it is true, and the people are dying?" Obi-Wan asks
"Either way, we're running out of time." Qui-Gon says
(Coruscant)
In the dark underworld of Coruscant, Darth Sidious and Lord Thanatos walked with their apprentices Darth Maul and Lord Drazor along the balcony of a building.
Darth Maul was a male Dathomirian Zabrak and a Dark Lord of the Sith. He had yellow eyes which were a characteristic of corruption to the Dark Side of the Force. He had red skin and black tattoos all over his face and body. He wore a dark black robe underneath a black cloak with the hood up. Being a Zabrak, Darth Maul had horns on his head, which were hidden underneath his hood.
"Tatooine is sparsely populated. If the trace was correct, we shall find them quickly, Master." Darth Maul says
"Move against the Jedi and the Keyblade Wielder first. Then, you and Lord Drazor will have no difficulty in taking the queen to Naboo to sign the treaty." Darth Sidious says
"At last, we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last, we'll have revenge." Darth Maul says
"You have been well trained, my young apprentice. They will be no match for you and Lord Drazor." Darth Sidious says
"LORD DRAZOR, SEE TO IT THAT THE KEYBLADE WIELDER DOES NOT COMPLETE HIS TRAINING. FIND HIM, CAPTURE HIM, AND BRING HIM TO US." Lord Thanatos says
"Yes, master." Lord Drazor says
Author's Note: Alright! The group have made it to Tatooine, but how will they get the ship fixed to continue their trip to Coruscant? On the ship, Devon offers Queen Amidala his protection and meets Padmé. On Tatooine, Devon meets Watto, Anakin Skywalker, Sebulba, and everyone's famous protocol droid, C-3PO! He even meets Shmi Skywalker who was alot like his own mother, Shara. But now, Darth Maul and Lord Drazor are hunting them down and have traced them to Tatooine!
