(Naboo)
In the capital city of Theed, in the palace plaza, Devon, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Padmé, Sabé, Captain Panaka, the handmaidens, guards, and citizens of the city awaited the newly elected Supreme Chancellor Palpatine as he arrives in his transport ship, a CSS-1 Corellian Star Shuttle called the Perpetuus. The red-white space shuttle touches down and lands in the plaza and it's ramp lowers and opens up. Sabé, disguised as Queen Amidala, and Captain Panaka stand before Nute Gunray and Rune Haako, who were both surrounded by a few guards.
"Now, Viceroy. You're going to have to go back to the senate to explain all this." Sabé says
"I guess you can kiss your trade franchise goodbye." Panaka says
The two Neimoidians were taken away by the royal guards and while Chancellor Palpatine approached with his senate guard. Devon, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin bowed in greeting and respect to the Chancellor.
"We are indebted to you for your bravery, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Keyblade Wielder Devon. And you, young Skywalker. We will watch your career with great interest." Palpatine says
Chancellor Palpatine then walks over to Sabé, who smiles upon seeing the new chancellor.
"Congratulations on your election, Chancellor." Sabé says
"Your boldness has saved our people, Your Majesty. It is you who should be congratulated. Together, we shall bring peace and prosperity to the Republic." Palpatine says
As the sun sets on the now peaceful planet of Naboo, Devon and Obi-Wan Kenobi met with Master Yoda, who had arrived to Naboo with the members of the Jedi Council to oversee the arrest of Gunray and Haako. The young Keyblade Wielder and Jedi Knight kneeled before Yoda as the old Jedi Master paced around in the palace throne room.
"Confer on you the level of Jedi Knight the council does. But agree with you taking this boy as your Padawan learner I do not." Yoda says
"Qui-Gon believed in him. I believe in him." Obi-Wan says
"I do, too, Master Yoda. Obi-Wan doubted Anakin at first, but when he realized his mistake he began to believe in Anakin, just as Qui-Gon and I had from the beginning." Devon says
Yoda sighs and turns to Devon and Obi-Wan.
"The chosen one the boy may be. Nevertheless, grave danger I fear in his training." Yoda says
"Well, Qui-Gon did say that training to become a Jedi wouldn't be easy. Heck, I'm sure my training to become a Keyblade Master won't be easy, either." Devon says
"Master Yoda, I gave Qui-Gon my word. I will train Anakin." Obi-Wan says
Yoda paces away from the young Jedi and Keyblade Wielder.
"Without the approval of the council, if I must." Obi-Wan says
"Qui-Gon's defiance I sense in you. Need that you do not." Yoda says
Yoda remains silent for a moment
"Agree with you, the council does." Yoda says
Master Yoda turns and faces Obi-Wan Kenobi and Devon.
"Your apprentice Skywalker will be." Yoda says
Later that night, Qui-Gon's body was brought to the Theed Funeral Temple, a domed building with a circular opening in the ceiling where the dead were cremated, and was given a traditional Jedi funeral held in his honor.
Devon, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Padmé, Jar Jar, Tarpals, Boss Nass, R2-D2, Sabé, Captain Panaka, Sio Bibble, Ric Olié, the handmaidens, Chancellor Palpatine, a few human and Gungan dignitaries of Naboo, and even Master Yoda, Mace Windu, and the Jedi Council were in attendance as they all stood in a tiered circle around the pyre as they bid farewell to hero of the Republic. All of them watched silently as Qui-Gon's body burned slowly in the pyre.
R2 let a sad whimper and beeps while Jar Jar looks down sad. Anakin felt depressed. Unsure of his future, he looked up to Obi-Wan while the hooded Jedi Knight looks down at him on his right.
"What will happen to me now?" Anakin asks
"The council have granted permission for me to train you. You will be a Jedi. I promise." Obi-Wan says
Anakin and Obi-Wan look back toward Qui-Gon's body as it continued to burn in flames. Master Yoda and Windu looked toward each other.
"There's no doubt the mysterious warrior was a Sith. Yet the other warrior remains a mystery." Windu says
"Hmm. Always two there are. No more, no less. A master and an apprentice." Yoda says
"But which was destroyed? The master? Or the apprentice?" Windu asks
Devon stared at the burning Jedi Master as he remembered all the times he stood and fought by his side. It was thanks to him that he was able to connect with the Force. And even though he felt sad with the death of his new friend, he knew that Obi-Wan was still here. Anakin was still here. And he promised to look after them.
"Qui-Gon... Thank you for helping me believe in the Force. I'll watch over Obi-Wan and Anakin. I promise." Devon says in his thoughts
As he continued watching the funeral, the young teen felt something strange in the Force. There was a dark, evil presence nearby, but he couldn't tell from were it was coming from. It was almost similar to what he felt from Darth Maul, but it felt far more sinister, more powerful, yet it was very faint, almost hidden. Devon soon looks over to his left at Chancellor Palpatine as he stood alongside Sabé. It felt like this darkness was coming from him. But why? Palpatine was a good, honest, well-respected man of the Republic. Devon turns back to the flaming pyre, slightly alarmed by this sudden presence of darkness. It was like the Force was warning him about something. Not just for him, but for the galaxy and the rest of the Universe. Perhaps Chancellor Palpatine was not the gentle, caring man as he seemed.
The next day, the Gungan people and the Naboo united as one world, and a grand celebration took place in the streets of Theed. Trumpets blared and drums rumbled as the Gungans marched in a parade. Crowds of people cheered loudly. Colorful confetti and ribbons flew in the wind. And N-1 Naboo starfighters flew overhead, adding to the celebration.
Devon and Queen Amidala stood at the top of the stone steps with the newly elected Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, the twelve members of the Jedi High Council, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, the guards of the Naboo Security Forces, the pilots of the Naboo Space Fighter Corps, and a few dignitaries also watched the parade from the steps of the royal palace in the shadow of the statues of ancient Naboo philosophers. Several senate guards also stood at attention.
Padmé was dressed in a white royal robe of happiness as she watched the parade.
Anakin now wore a formal Jedi attire and in his hair was a special braid on the left-side of his head, which was the mark of a Jedi Padawan.
The triumphal parade moved through the streets of Theed, reaching its endpoint at the steps of the royal palace. Jar Jar and Captain Tarpals rode two Kaadus while Boss Nass rode a ceremonial Falumpaset. Upon reaching the stairs, the three Gungans dismount their steeds. Boss Nass and Tarpals jumped down from their mounts without a problem, but Jar Jar got his left-foot stuck in the saddle. Eventually, he managed to free his foot and the three Gungans proceeded up the stairs.
Once they reached the top, Sio Bibble hands Padmé the Globe of Peace, which was an ancient hallowed Naboo relic that glowed with an iridescent light. The queen then gives the bright orb to Boss Nass as a gift of appreciation and friendship to the Gungan people. Boss Nass accepts it takes it from Sab and holds it up into the air
"Peace!" Nass says
The city of Theed erupted in cheers as the humans and Gungans of Naboo cheered in victory. Anakin and Padmé look toward each other and smile. R2-D2 let out some happy beeps. Even Devon and Obi-Wan was smiling at the celebration.
Once the celebration was over, Devon stood alone infront of the royal palace, gazing out into the city.
"Anakin... Obi-Wan... Padmé... Good luck. May the Force be with you." Devon says
Suddenly, a large, circular section of the sky disappears in an effect reminiscent of shattering glass, revealing the sleeping keyhole which was surrounded by a torrent of gold energy and symbols underneath. Soul Calibur appears in Devon's right-hand in a flash of blue light, reacting to the presence of the keyhole. A pure aura envelopes Devon's body and his crystal Keyblade begins to shine brightly with its benevolent light. Devon aims his Keyblade up at the keyhole and a beam of light shoots out, striking the keyhole. The keyhole shines brightly and engulfs Devon, allowing him to move on to the next world as his journey to become the Legendary Keyblade Master begins.
(Flashback)
Devon, Sora, and Riku stood together infront of The Inheritor as he explained the task of their exam.
"One dream is connected to another, which means we must choose in which Sleeping World for you to begin your trials. I will return you three to Destiny Islands just before they were consumed by the darkness and plunged into sleep. Once dreams take you, you must let them guide you to the Sleeping Worlds. As there are pure lights to our world, there are the Sleeping Keyholes. Unlocking them will both grant you new powers and abilities, and free the worlds from their wakelessness. Complete this task, return here safely, and I shall name you three... true masters." The Inheritor explains
