(London)

It was a quiet morning in London, England and all the Muggles were going about their normal day-to-day lives. Devon, Harry, and Hagrid were walking through the streets of Charing Cross Road as Harry read the rest of his letter.

"All students must be equipped with one standard size 2 pewter cauldron. And may bring, if they desire, either an owl, a cat, or a toad." Harry reads

Harry looks up at Hagrid on his left.

"Can we find all this in London?" Harry asks

"If you know where to go." Hagrid says

The trio soon came up to a pub and inn nestled between a bookshop and a record store. Hanging overhead was a sign that had a cauldron in the background which read: Leaky Cauldron. To Muggles, it appeared to be a broken-down old shop. Devon, Harry, and Hagrid stepped into the pub and looked around.

The Leaky Cauldron was small, dark, and dingy with a bar and tables in the shadows of the corners. Inside the room were witches and wizards enjoying themselves to the drinks and music of the pub. The owner of the pub, Tom, notices the trio and greets them happily.

"Ah, Hagrid! The usual, I presume?" Tom says

"No, thanks, Tom. I'm on official Hogwarts business." Hagrid says

Hagrid pats his right-hand on Harry's shoulder.

"Just helping young Harry buy his school supplies." Hagrid says

The half-giant then gestures over to Devon as he stood next to him and Harry.

"And we have our young Keyblade Wielder friend here, Devon, to help us out." Hagrid says

Tom stares at the two boys with a stunned expression.

"Bless my soul. It's Harry Potter. And the Keyblade Wielder." Tom says

The music in the pub fell silent. All activity immediately stopped and all eyes in the pub turned to Harry Potter and Devon. A man approaches the two boys and shakes their hands.

"Welcome back, Mr. Potter. Welcome back, Mr. Devon." The wizard says

Next, a witch approaches the trio and shakes Devon and Harry's hand.

"Doris Crockford, Mr. Potter, I can't believe I'm meeting you at last. And a great pleasure it is to meet you, Mr. Devon."

Then, a man wearing a purple turban approaches the trio. This man was Quirnius Quirrell, a nervous and timid wizard who had a stutter in his voice.

"Harry P-Potter. D-D-Devon. C-Can't tell you how pleased I am to meet you both." Quirrell says smiling

"Hello, Professor. I didn't see you there. Harry, Devon, this is Professor Quirrell. He's our Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts." Hagrid says

"Defense Against the Dark Arts?" Devon asks

"It's one of the many subjects taught at Hogwarts. It's a class that teaches students how to defend themselves against dark arts or dark magic, such as curses, hexes, and jinxes. It also teaches students how to fend off against dangerous creatures." Hagrid says

"Oh, like teaching them how to defend against the darkness." Devon says

"Exactly." Hagrid says

Devon looks over Professor Quirrell and found him to be a bit odd, noting his nervous and timid appearance. Regardless, he shook it off.

"Pleased to meet you." Harry says

Harry extends his right-hand to the teacher, but he didn't shake his hand, much to the trio's confusion.

"F-Fearfully fascinating subject. N-Not that you need it, eh, Potter?" Quirrell says

"Yes, well, must be going now. Lots to buy." Hagrid says

Hagrid and the two boys proceed through the pub and head out of the back door, coming out into a small, walled courtyard with a dustbin. Infront of them was a brick wall that had a hole in the center.

"See, Harry, you and Devon are famous." Hagrid says

"But why are we famous, Hagrid? All those people back there, how is it they know who I am? And how do they know about Devon?" Harry asks

"I'm not sure I'm exactly the right person to tell you that, Harry." Hagrid says

Hagrid taps a series of bricks in the wall with his umbrella, going three up and two across around the hole. The boys watch in amazement as the bricks in the wall shift and slide, parting away as they form an archway into a shopping area.

"Welcome, boys, to Diagon Alley." Hagrid says

Devon and Harry step into the alley and they look around at the assortment of shops, restaurants, and other sights. The area was bustling with wizards and witches young and old. Owls flew overhead and perched themselves near the stores. Bats hanged upside-down on metal poles used for signs.

"Here's where you get your quills and your ink. And over there are your bits and bobs for doing your wizardry." Hagrid says pointing over at Scribbulus Writing Instruments and Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment

The two boys were amazed by what they saw around them. There were shops selling robes, windows showcasing piles of spell books, quills, potion bottles, cauldrons, barrels of animal parts like bat wings or eel eyes, and a pet shop that had owls, bats, ravens, cats, rats, and ferrets along with other creatures on display in cages outside and inside the store. There were also various stalls and peddlers that took up space in between the shops. Devon and Harry looked over at one store called Broomstix on their right and saw a group of young boys and girls gazing at the broomstick that was on display at the window.

"It's a world-class racing broom." A girl says

"Wow, look at it! The new Nimbus 2000!" A boy exclaims

"It's the fastest model yet." Another boy says

The trio continued heading down the alley. Devon had to admit. Diagon Alley was packed with people and there were all sorts of amazing things to be had here.

"Man. This place is packed." Devon says

"But, Hagrid, how am I to pay for all this? I haven't any money." Harry asks

"Well, there's your money, Harry." Hagrid says pointing to a building infront of them

The trio look up ahead and they saw a snow-white, multistoried building partway down the alley at an intersection, which towered over the neighboring shops.

"Gringotts, the wizard bank. T'ain't no safer place. Not one. Except perhaps Hogwarts." Hagrid says

Devon, Harry, and Hagrid enter the bank and they come into the entrance hall. The hall had a marble floor and many crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Flanking the hall sitting together in long counters were goblins, who were either stamping or writing paperwork, or balancing coins in scales.

"Uh, Hagrid, what exactly are these things?" Harry asks

"They're Goblins, Harry. Clever as they come, goblins, but not the most friendly of beasts." Hagrid says

"They certaintly don't look like it." Devon says

"Best stay close. Both of you." Hagrid says

"Gotcha." Devon says

The trio approach the counter at the end of the hall where the Head Goblin was writing some paperwork with his quill. Hagrid clears his throat, gaining the attention of the Head Goblin.

"Mr. Harry Potter wishes to make a withdrawal." Hagrid says

The goblin puts down his quill and looks over the counter, gazing down at Harry.

"And does Mr. Harry Potter have his key?" The Head Goblin asks

Devon and Harry share confused glances with each other.

"Uh, key?" Devon says

"Oh, wait a minute. Got it here somewhere." Hagrid says

The half-giant goes through the pockets of his jacket until he takes out a small golden key.

"Ha! There's the little devil." Hagrid says presenting the key

Hagrid places the key up on the counter before the Head Goblin.

"Oh, and there's something else as well. Professor Dumbledore gave me this." Hagrid says

Hagrid takes out a wrapped envelope with a letter inside and gives it to the goblin. On this envelope read:

The Head Goblin in charge of all Goblins.

Gringotts Bank.

Diagon Alley.

There were also red words encircled in a box of the same color that said 'Top Secret'.

"It's about you-know-what in vault you-know-which." Hagrid whispers

"Very well." The Head Goblin says

Devon, Harry, and Hagrid were now inside the passageways to the vaults, riding a cart on a railway with a goblin employee named Griphook, who escorted them deep below the surface of the earth. In contrast to the grand marble of the entryway up above, these passageways were stone and were dimly lit with flaming torches. The carts were magically operated as they rode along the rails as if they had a mind of it's own. They soon stop at a vault marked 687, which was the Potter Vault.

"Vault 687." Griphook says

The trio disembark from the cart with Griphook.

"Lamp, please." Griphook says

Hagrid gives the goblin the lamp and they walk over to the vault door.

"Key, please." Griphook says

Hagrid takes the lantern and gives Griphook the key. The goblin slides up a hatch in the door, inserts the key to the vault and unlocks it, then opens the vault, revealing it's valuable contents within. Inside were mounds, columns, and heaps of gold Galleons, silver Sickles, and bronze Knutz.

"Wow. That's quite a lot of money." Devon says

"Didn't think your parents would leave you empty-handed now, did ya?" Hagrid says

After taking money from the vault for Harry's list of school supplies, the trio continued deeper into the underground vault and stopped at one marked 713.

"Vault 713." Griphook says

"What's in there, Hagrid?" Harry asks

"More gold or jewels?" Devon asks

"Can't tell you, boys. Hogwarts business. Very secret." Hagrid says

"Stand back." Griphook says

Devon, Harry, and Hagrid take a step back as Griphook passes his finger down along the length of the door. The locks on the other side click as they unlock. The door slowly opens up while Devon and Harry eagerly awaited to see what was inside. But to their surprise, there was just a small, grubby package wrapped up in brown paper sitting on a pedestal. Hagrid steps into the vault and takes the package, then places it inside his jacket.

"Best not mention this to anyone, boys." Hagrid says

Devon and Harry both nod their heads in understanding. But they couldn't help but wonder. What was inside that small package? And why was it such a secret?

With the money from Gringotts, Harry was able to buy some supplies for school. He already had books, quills, ink, and a cauldron. There was only one thing left to acquire.

"I still need... a wand." Harry says

"A wand? Well, you want Olivanders. There ain't no place better." Hagrid says pointing over at the store

Devon and Harry look over and they saw the wand shop on their left.

"Why don't you run along there and wait? Devon, you go along with him. I just got one more thing I got to do. Won't be long." Hagrid says

"Alright." Devon says

And so, Hagrid continues walking down the street while Devon and Harry enter the wand shop. The two boys look around at the layout of the shop. It was tiny, narrow, and shabby. They saw a counter infront of them, a staircase on their left which led to the upper level, and thousands of boxes sitting in shelves, piled up to the ceiling. Each of these boxes had wands of different lengths, different wood, and different cores made from parts of magical creatures like dragon heart string, unicorn hair, and phoenix tail feathers.

"Hello? Hello?" Harry says

"Maybe no one's here." Devon says

Just then, an old-looking man slides in from a ladder, hearing the voices of the two boys. It was Garrick Olivander, the owner of the store. Devon and Harry look up the man as he looks down at them, smiling.

"I wondered when I'd be seeing you, Mr. Potter. Ah, and you must be the Keyblade Wielder. Word of your arrival has already reached far and wide in the Wizarding World. Not many of your kind have been around for ages." Olivander says

Olivander steps down from the ladder and starts looking through the boxes in the nearby shelf.

"It seems only yesterday that your mother and father were in here buying their first wands." Olivander says

The shopkeeper soon takes out a box and walks over to the counter.

"Here we are." Olivander says

Opening the box, the elderly man takes out a wand and gives it to Harry. The young orphan stares at the old man, unsure what to do.

"Well, give it a wave." Olivander says

Harry looks over at the boxes in the shelves where Olivander came out and flicks his wand toward them. Dozens of boxes shoot out from the shelves, sending papers flying everywhere, making Devon and Harry jump with a start.

"Whoa!" Devon exclaims

"Apparently not." Olivander says

Harry places the wand onto the counter.

"Sorry about that, Mr. Olivander." Devon apologizes

"Oh, ho, no trouble at all, my good lad." Olivander chuckles waving his right-hand

The shopkeeper looks around, searching for another wand that might suit Harry. He soon glances up at a box up along the staircase. He takes it from the shelf, opens the box, and hands Harry another wand.

"Perhaps... this." Olivander says

Harry glances at a glass vase full of flowers and gives the wand a wave. The vase explodes into a million pieces, making the two boys jump again.

"No, no. Definitely not. No matter." Olivander says

Olivander goes around to the right-side of the store and looks through more shelves. Suddenly, a thought came into his mind. There was one wand in particular that he wanted to try.

"I wonder..." Olivander says

The shopkeeper comes back to Devon and Harry with a third box in his hands. He takes out a wand, which was 11" in length, made from holly with a phoenix feather core, and gives it to Harry. As Harry holds the wand, he felt a warmth in his fingers. Then, a golden light envelopes the young wizard and a gust of wind blows through the store while Devon and Olivander watch with curious expressions.

"What was that?" Devon asks

"Curious. Very curious." Olivander says

"S-Sorry, but what's curious?" Harry asks

"I remember every wand I've ever sold, Mr. Potter. It so happens that the phoenix whose tail feather resides in your wand gave another feather. Just one other. It is curious that you should be destined for this wand when it's brother..." Olivander says

Olivander points to the lightning-shaped scar on Harry's forehead.

"...gave you that scar." Olivander says

"And who owned that wand?" Harry asks

"Oh, we do not speak his name. The wand chooses the wizard, Mr. Potter. It's not always clear why, but I think it is clear that we can expect from both you and your friend. After all, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did great things. Terrible... yes, but great." Olivander says

"Thank you, Mr. Olivander. You've been a great help." Devon says

"Always a pleasure, my friend." Olivander says

Olivander bows to the two boys, then goes back to work in his shop.

"Harry! Harry!" A voice calls

Devon and Harry look over to the windows of the shop and they saw Hagrid outside.

"Happy Birthday, Harry!" Hagrid says

Besides the supplies that Hagrid now had in a cart, he had a cage with a snowy owl inside.

"Wow." Harry says

Later on, having finished their shopping of school supplies, Devon, Harry, and Hagrid return to the Leaky Cauldron where they spend the night as they prepare for their trip back to Hogwarts the next day. The two boys sat together on one side of the table while Hagrid sat with them on their right.

"You all right, Harry? You seem very quiet." Hagrid says

"He killed my parents, didn't he?" Harry asks

Harry gestures to his lightning-shaped scar with his right-hand.

"The one who gave me this? You know, Hagrid. I know you do." Harry says

"Yeah. Olivander mentioned someone that gave Harry his scar, but he didn't give us a name. You know who he's talking about, Hagrid?" Devon asks

Hagrid lets out a sigh and pushes his wooden bowl of food away as he turned to face Harry.

"First, and understand this, boys, 'cause it's very important. Not all wizards are good. Some of them go bad. A few years ago, there was one wizard who went as bad as you can go. And his name was V-" Hagrid says

Hagrid lets out another sigh.

"His name was V-" Hagrid says softly

"Maybe if you wrote it down?" Harry says

"No, I can't spell it. All right." Hagrid says

The half-giant leans closer to the two boys and utters a name in a small, quiet whisper.

"Voldemort." Hagrid whispers

"Voldemort?" Devon and Harry say in unison

"Shh!" Hagrid says

The two boys glanced around to see if anyone was looking their way, then looked back towards Hagrid.

"It was dark times, boys. Dark times." Hagrid says

It was a dark Halloween night in Godric's Hollow as a dark cloaked figure walked towards a house infront of him. This hooded figure was the evil wizard, Voldemort. He was here with a murderous goal in sight: Kill his arch enemies, the Potter family.

"Voldemort started to gather some followers. Brought 'em over to the dark side." Hagrid says

Voldemort passes through the gate of the front yard and stood before the door to the house. Aiming his wand at the door, a light shines through the keyhole, unlocking the door.

"Anyone that stood up to him ended up dead." Hagrid says

The dark wizard steps into the home and quickly dealt with James Potter, catching him unarmed without his wand, killing him right on the spot with a killing curse. He then made his way upstairs and encountered his main target: young Harry as a baby and his mother, Lily Potter.

"Your parents fought against him." Hagrid says

Lily quickly slams the door to Harry's bedroom shut and backs away. But that would not stop Voldemort as he blasts the door off it's hinges with a powerful, explosive spell. Lily turns away from the door and clutches Harry close in her arms, shielding him away from the explosion.

"But nobody lived once he decided to kill 'em." Hagrid says

Voldemort aims his wand at Lily and casts a green jet of deathly energy at her, killing her while she screams and falls to the floor. Green lights of the killing curse flashes through the windows of the house and a rushing noise fills the air. Once Lily was dead, the dark wizard turns to young Harry and points his wand at him next while the innocent baby stares up at his mother's murderer.

"Nobody, not one. Except you." Hagrid says

(Present time)

Harry and Devon stared at Hagrid with surprised expressions.

"Me? Voldemort tried to kill me?" Harry asks

"Yes. That ain't no ordinary cut on your forehead, Harry. A mark like that only comes from being touched by a curse and an evil curse at that." Hagrid says

"But what happened to Vo-to You-Know-Who?" Harry asks

"Well, some say he died. Codswallop, in my opinion. Nope. I reckon he's out there still... Too tired to carry on. But one thing is certain. Something about you stumped him that night. That's why you're famous. That's why everyone knows your name. You're the Boy Who Lived." Hagrid says

Harry sat silently as he took all this in. Even Devon was astonished by what he heard. And he was amazed at the similarities between him and the young wizard. Their stories were almost exactly the same. Both their parents fought against an evil villain and both were murdered in the end. Both of them had survived against all odds and both were brought into adoptive families. Devon and Harry were two orphans from two different worlds, yet they shared the same pain. And to hear about a dark wizard like Voldemort reminded Devon of another evil villain that he was familiar with: Lord Thanatos, the Dark Keyblade Master who murdered his parents. The young Keyblade Wielder wanted to tell Harry about the same tragedy that befell his parents, but he felt he wasn't ready to hear it just yet. But there was one thing he did want to know. Why did Voldemort try to kill Harry? Why target him specifically? Was it something that the dark wizard feared in Harry? Surely, there must've been more to this mystery.

"Hey, Hagrid. You've heard about Keyblade Wielders, right? Did any of them fight against You-Know-Who?" Devon asks

Hagrid nods his head.

"Yes, they certaintly did. The Keyblade Wielders were the greatest allies to many wizards and witches in the First Wizarding War against You-Know-Who and his evil forces. But then, they suddenly disappeared without a trace. No one knows how or why. Some say they were either hunted down, killed off one by one, or had fallen into darkness. Keyblade Wielders were very powerful warriors. To think that someone or something was killing them all." Hagrid says

The half-giant shook his head, shuddering to think of someone more bad than Voldemort killing Keyblade Wielders.

"It's unsettling to think about it." Hagrid says

"But there's one thing I still don't understand. What exactly is a Keyblade?" Harry asks

"Here." Devon says

Devon summons his Keyblade: Soul Calibur in a flash of blue light and laid it out on the wooden table. Harry and Hagrid stared at the crystal Keyblade in amazement.

"This is a Keyblade, an ancient weapon imbued with powerful magic. Those who are chosen by the Keyblade are known as Keyblade Wielders. The Keyblade grants it's wielders many powers and abilities, making them into powerful warriors." Devon says

The young teen shrugs his shoulders.

"And I suppose the Keyblade makes it's wielders just as powerful as expert mages." Devon says

Soul Calibur disappears in the same blue light.

"Well, I know one thing. If You-Know-Who is still lurking around, I'm sure we can count on you, Devon, to set him straight. And you too, Harry, once you've trained up enough." Hagrid says

Devon and Harry shared glances with each other and they nodded. Harry was willing to become a great wizard like his parents. And Devon would be there to help him along the way. If Voldemort was still alive, the Wizarding World would need their help to survive against the coming darkness.
