Chapter 4
Devils?
"Chrono? Who's Chrono?" Joshua asked, "I don't get it."
"I don't get it either. What are trying to pull Mr. Remington?" Rosette
"Rosette! Joshua! You two are…" Chrono stopped and looked at them.
"So you've finally woken up Chrono. Long time no see!" Mr. Remington butt in, "I thought that you would wake up soon, so I already enrolled you in school."
"WHAT!" Rosette, Joshua, and Chrono chorused. After that, it was just a bunch of mixed up questions getting jumbled in other people's questions.
"Hold on, let me explain to all of you at once what is going on and then if you have any questions then I'll answer them." Mr. Remington finally answered
Everyone left the room and walked into an empty classroom. Chrono every few minutes looked at Rosette, seeing something in her, something that only he could see. Something that only someone like Chrono can feel and see without hesitation. Something familiar.
After settling down, Mr. Remington started to explain.
"You see, long ago, in the late 1920s there was a tragedy hidden only by this church of what truly happened during that time. During that time, the fad then was devil summoning. And to keep society in line, the Church of Mary Magdelene decided to be the enforcers of this dangerous sport."
"Oh, and how are we supposed to believe that? If there were devils then, then how come there aren't any here? Tell me, how can you prove to me that devils exist?" Rosette defended.
"Chrono is a devil himself. But, he won't do any harm to anyone."
"Yeah, that's right. I actually don't like fighting that much." Chrono added.
"…yeah. Right. I don't believe it. Do you—"
"That is so cool! Do you have awesome superpowers and…" Joshua eyes sparked with such happiness that Rosette couldn't help but keep quiet and let him have his fun.
"He's such a hopeless moron." Rosette sighed.
The next day…
"Come on you two! We're going to be late!" Joshua yelled.
"Hold on!" Rosette shouted
"We're coming!" Chrono
"Don't leave without us!"
By the time they got to school, they had just enough time to get their books and go to class.
"Chrono, we're in Mr. Mathers class. He's really nice and really smart!" Joshua said.
"Yeah, and sometimes he lets us out early for lunch and school!" Rosette added.
"He sounds like a very nice person!" Chrono said.
After they put their backpacks in their lockers and got out their books, they walked to class. Mr. Mathers hadn't come yet.
"Where's the teacher?" Chrono asked.
"Oh, sometimes he leaves the room to get some papers or coffee." Rosette answered.
At that moment, Mr. Mathers entered the room. He had white hair and was tan.
"Good morning class!" he said with a cheery voice, "Today we will start class off with introducing the new addition to our class."
Chrono had a dark look and his face and didn't dare turn his head towards the teacher.
"For you new students, my name is Aion Mathers. And it is a pleasure to meet you."
Mr. Mathers looked at Chrono. "All of you."
