(Tatooine)

Now embarking on a secret mission to find Shmi Skywalker, Devon, Anakin, Padmé and R2-D2 traveled from lush, green world of Naboo to the remote, desert planet of Tatooine, flying in an H-type Nubian Yacht Starship.

This sleek, rocket-shaped spacecraft had royal chromium hull plating, a strong deflector shield, and two Nubian Sossen-3 ion drive engines.

Flying down over Mos Espa, the silver starship descends into one of the circular docking bays and deploys it's landing gears, touching down gently as the heroes arrive on the planet.

Padmé wore a silver-blue cloak and a light blue dress underneath with her hood up to maintain her disguise while Anakin wore his brown Jedi robe.

Anakin and Padmé took a repulsor lift rickshaw, which was attached to a pair of long poles and pulled by a brown unipod RIC-series labor droid, and they rode through the streets while Devon and R2 followed close behind. Because the rickshaw was a two-seater, Devon rode on the back of his Ryu Dragon, his Dream Eater Spirit, which he had summoned earlier, following the Jedi Padawan and the Senator on the ground.

The first step of their mission was to find Watto, the Toydarian Junk Dealer who was Anakin's slave master, as well as Shmi's, back when he was a child.

Eventually, the rickshaw slows to a stop in the street, infront of the shop that was still owned by Watto.

"Boota ooma boo da ee." The rickshaw droid says in Huttese

The trio saw him sitting outside with a broken head of a pit droid, trying to fix it himself. Anakin steps off the rickshaw first and helps Padmé down as he took her with his right-hand. Devon climbs down off his Ryu Dragon's back, rubbing it's head with his right-hand, causing the Dream Eater to purr with content. The trio walk towards the shop, but not before Anakin looks back at the unidroid.

"Wait right there." Anakin says pointing to the labor droid

"Okey-okey." The droid says nodding it's head

The trio approached the Toydarian and they saw that the years have not been kind to him. After losing Anakin during the Boonta Eve Podrace, he no longer had the necessary personnel or the technological knowledge to do his work, leaving him to all the hard work himself. His loss in the race had affected him emotionally and severely damaged him financially. The only staff he had was his pit droids, though their work labor was unsatisfactory.

"Da wanga!" Watto yells in Huttese at the pit droid

The trio walk up to Watto, who didn't recognize them, especially Anakin.

"Chut-chut, Watto. Ding mi chasa hopa." (Greetings, Watto. Let me help you with that.)" Anakin says in Huttese

Anakin picked up a broken pit droid head that was on a small table infront of him and Watto and began tinkering with it while the Toydarian stares at him in disbelief.

"Kee booda? Yo bana bee hota? (What? What do you want?)" Watto says in Huttese

Watto soon noticed Anakin's lightsaber, which was clipped to his belt, and realized that he was talking to a Jedi.

"Anjenda! Un Jedi! No bata no tutu. (Wait! You're a Jedi! Whatever it is, I didn't do it!)" Watto exclaims with a panicked voice in Huttese

The tool in Watto's right-hand flies out of his grip and falls back down, hitting his right-foot.

"Ai!" Watto exclaims in pain

Anakin picks up the tool that Watto dropped and looks up at the Toydarian, asking him in Huttese for his mother.

"Mi bosco de Shmi Skywalker. (I'm looking for Shmi Skywalker.)" Anakin says in Huttese

Watto stared at Anakin in surprise and he started to wonder if this young man was the small boy he had released years ago.

"Ani? Little Ani?" Watto says

Once he was finished, Anakin places the pit droid head down infront of Watto, which was now fully repaired. It was in that moment that Watto realized who he was.

"You are Ani! It is you! Ha ha ha ha! You sure spouted, huh? Wee-hoo! A Jedi, whattya know. Hey, maybe you can help me with some dead beats, who owe me a lot of money." Watto says

"Actually, Watto, we were hoping that maybe you could help us. We're looking for someone who was in your care." Devon says

"My mother." Anakin says

"Oh, yeah. Shmi." Watto says

The blue Toydarian scratches the back of his head with his right-hand.

"Uh... she's not mine-a no more-a. I sold her." Watto says

"You sold her?" Anakin says

"When?" Devon asks

"Years ago. Sorry, Ani, but you know business is business. Yeah, I sold her to a moisture farmer named, uh, Lars. I think it was Lars. But believe it or not, I heard he freed her and married her. Can you beat that, eh? Ha ha ha. Yeah." Watto says

"Well... that's good, I guess." Devon says

"Do you know where they are now?" Anakin asks

"Ooh, long way from here. Some place over on the other side of Mos Eisely, I think, uh." Watto says

"I'd like to know." Anakin says

"Eh, sure. Absolutely! Let's take a look at my records." Watto says

Devon, Anakin, and Padmé step inside Watto's shop with the Toydarian as he shows them inside.

(Elsewhere)

In another corner of the Galaxy, the Slave I exits out of lightspeed and flies toward a large planet up ahead. This planet was known in the galaxy as Geonosis.

Geonosis was situated in the Geonosis system of the Arkanis sector in the Outer Rim Territories, 43,000 light years from the Galactic Core. It was a desert planet like Tatooine, but it's irradiated surface was covered in harsh, rocky deserts, marked by mesas and buttes. Both its rocks and sky were tinted in shades of red. It's inhabitants were sentient insectoid creatures called Geonosians. The planet had a large, rocky ring and was orbited by fifteen moons.

Obi-Wan soon came out of lightspeed a few minutes afterwards, following the signal from the homing tracker he had thrown onto the ship of the bounty hunter. Detaching from the hyperspace ring, Obi-Wan flies his starfighter toward Geonosis, following Jango Fett and his son.

Inside the Slave I, Boba looked over at one of the red screens in the cockpit and saw that they were being trailed by Jedi.

"Dad! I think we've been tracked!" Boba says

Jango noticed this as well as his ship's scanners showed Obi-Wan's starfighter on screen.

"He must have put a homing device on our hull. Hang on, son. We'll move into the asteroid field, and we'll have a couple of surprises for him." Jango says

Jango pressed a button on the controls and a back hatch in the Slave I opens up, releasing a capsule-shaped bomb into the asteroid field.

R4 beeps as he detects the bomb. Obi-Wan noticed it as well as the scanners on his starfighter showed it on the screens.

"Seismic charges! Standby." Obi-Wan says

Taking evasive action, Obi-Wan flies around past a large asteroid just as the seismic charge crashes into it. The bomb detonates into a blue ball-shaped explosion, which had the unusual effect of drawing in all sound from the area around it. Then, this small explosion collapsed in upon itself, releasing a powerful shock wave of energy that obliterated the asteroids around it. Obi-Wan flew away, performing three barrel rolls and dodging the shock wave.

Jango releases another seismic charge from the back of the ship in the Jedi's flight path. Obi-Wan flies past the bomb as it hits an asteroid behind him, detonating and collapsing on itself, releasing another shock wave which decimated the asteroids around it. Again, Obi-Wan avoids the shock wave as it cuts through the asteroids.

The Mandalorian bounty hunter checks his ship's scanners and saw that Obi-Wan was still behind them.

"He doesn't seem to take a hint, this guy." Jango says

Jango pilots the ship toward a giant asteroid and flies into a large tunnel on it's surface, hoping to lose the Jedi inside. Obi-Wan followed in pursuit, staying right on their tail. Both the Jedi Master and the bounty hunter move up and down, weaving their way through the tunnel as they dodge rocks inside.

Eventually, the Slave I reaches the other side of the tunnel and flies upward out of the asteroid. Obi-Wan flies straight out the tunnel, but he doesn't see Jango anywhere. As soon as he comes out, the Slave I swoops down behind the Jedi Starfighter, getting the drop on Obi-Wan as he was now on his tail.

"Get him, dad! Get him! Fire!" Boba says

With Obi-Wan right in his sights, Jango fires the ship's twin blaster cannons, shooting red explosive bolts at him in rapid succession.

"Oh, blast! This is why I hate flying!" Obi-Wan groans

The Slave I chases the Jedi Starfighter around, firing it's explosive turbo lasers at it. Obi-Wan took evasive maneuvers, moving fast and taking sharp turns to shake the bounty hunter, but he stayed right on him. A blaster bolt soon hits the starfighter, striking close to where R4 was.

"We got him!" Boba says

"We'll just have to finish him." Jango says

A weapons compartment extends out from the left-side of the tail end of Slave I, revealing three concussion missiles stored. One of the missiles is launched and homes in on the Jedi Starfighter. Obi-wan flew fast through the asteroid field, trying to lose the missile. He weaves around three asteroids going left and right while the missile flies it's own way around them, even flying through a hole in the third asteroid, staying locked onto the Jedi Starfighter as it kept up with him. Putting full power to his engines, Obi-Wan tried to outrun the missile, but it matched his speed, trailing him by only a couple feet. Despite his current situation, the Jedi Master wasn't done yet. He had one last trick in mind, which just might save his life.

"R4, prepare to jettison the spare part canisters." Obi-Wan says

R4 beeps in acknowledgement. The missile was starting to catch up on Obi-Wan's ship. Soon, the Jedi Master gave his droid the order.

"Fire them now!" Obi-Wan says

A hatch in the back of Obi-Wan's starfighter opens up and a bunch of spare parts are released behind him. The missile could not dodge the number of tiny objects and exploded.

In the Slave I, Jango and his son watched the explosion from their screens and their cockpit. Once the explosion died off, Obi-Wan was nowhere to be seen and his ship no longer showed up on the scanners.

"Well, we won't be seeing him again." Jango says

Believing they had rid themselves of the pesky Jedi was dead, Jango Fett and his son flew down toward the planet of Geonosis. Little did they know that Obi-Wan had escaped the explosion and had landed onto an asteroid, latching onto it's surface with his ship powered down.

It was dark in the dawning hours on Geonosis, but the morning was quickly approaching. The Slave I flies through the planet's atmosphere and soars over the rocky mesas until it slows over a hatch hidden in the ground with eight guide lights around it, which opens up on their approach. Coming in for landing, the ship rotates 90 degrees horizontally into landing mode and descends into the hatch, which closes soon after. The lights surrounding the hatch fade out.

After several minutes of waiting, Obi-Wan felt that he was now in the clear.

"Well, R4, I think we've waited long enough." Obi-Wan says

Powering his ship back on, Obi-Wan detaches from the asteroid and heads down toward the planet.

(Geonosis)

Now on Geonosis, the Jedi Starfighter flies across the dark skies of the planet. As he soars over the mesas, Obi-Wan saw a small round-shaped buildings down underneath him. But looking closer, they weren't buildings was at all, they were actually Trade Federation core ships docked in launch bay stations on the surface.

"There an unusual concentration of Federation ships down there, R4." Obi-Wan says

R4 beeps in agreement.

After minutes of flying and seeing dozens of Trade Federation ships, Obi-Wan felt that he had to investigate this further. He flies into the mountains and finds a safe spot to land in a gorge. He slows to a stop and touches down gently. The Jedi Master climbs out of the cockpit and takes a look around.

Out in the distance, he saw a large structure with three tall spires towering in the sky. From his knowledge, Geonosians built large hives with a vast underground network. If Jango Fett came here to hide, then perhaps something else could be hidden here, like his employer. However, he sensed that there could be more hiding underneath the hive. Over to his right was a path along the cliff that led down to the badlands. That would be his path to the hive.

With a wave of his right-hand, Obi-Wan silently tells R4 to remain with the ship as he move to investigate the hive in the distance. Hopefully, he would find Jango Fett and his employer. And, if he was lucky, anything else that could be hidden here.

(Tatooine)

Devon, Anakin, Padmé and R2-D2 arrive at the location of the Lars family moisture farm with the Nubian Yacht parked behind them.

The farm was south of the Jundland Wastes and was mostly underground. There were multiple moisture vaporators scattered around the property, many of them were decades old, capable of collecting water from the dry air of Tatooine for consumption or to water the farm's hydroponic garden. There was also weather monitors and motion detectors, used to monitor weather conditions and detect incoming intruders, such as Tusken Raiders. The entire farm was powered by a supercharged bio-converter power generator and small fusion-cell generators. A pourstone entry dome was built above ground to provide access the homestead down below. There were several interconnected rooms and vast storage areas. The rooms which made up the compound included a kitchen, dining room, refresher, storage room, power generator room, vehicle storage area, tech dome garage, and two living quarters.

R2 planned on following the three heroes, but Padmé stopped him.

"Stay with the ship, R2." Padmé says

R2 beeps in compliance to the senator, and he turns around, heading back to the chromium starship. The trio approached the farm and they saw two droids nearby. One of them was a WED 15 Septoid 2 Treadwell repair droid, and the other was a silver protocol droid. It was C-3PO, who now had silver coverings on him.

"Oh! Um, uh, hello. How might I be of service. I am C-"

"3PO?" Anakin says

C-3PO stares at Anakin for a moment, feeling confused as to who this young man was. But as he got a good look at the Jedi Padawan, he soon recognizes him as his creator.

"The maker! Oh, Master Ani! I knew you would return! I knew it! And Miss Padmé! Oh, my!" C-3PO exclaims happily

"Hello, 3PO." Padmé greets smiling

C-3PO then notices Devon as he stood next to Anakin and Padmé.

"Oh, Master Devon! The Keyblade Wielder! How wonderful to see you again!" C-3PO exclaims happily

Devon smiles.

"Hey, 3PO. Liking your new look. Seems like you finally got yourself some coverings." Devon says

"Bless my circuits! I am so pleased to see you." C-3PO says

"I've come to see my mother." Anakin says

"Oh. Um, I think perhaps we'd better get indoors." C-3PO says

C-3PO leads the trio into the Lars Homestead through the pourstone entry dome and escorts them down to the lower area where they met the residents of the farm: Owen Lars and Beru Whitesun.

Owen Lars was a young man who was the son of moisture farmer Cliegg Lars. He had dark brown hair, blue eyes, and light skin. Owen was a pragmatic and strong worker, who was also thankful for life's simple delights.

As a moisture farmer, he wore light robes in shades of tan and brown.

Beru Whitesun was his girlfriend. She had brown hair, blue eyes, and light skin. She had a warm personality and wore tan robes similar to her boyfriend.

"Master Owen, might I present three very important visitors." C-3PO says

Devon steps forward as he introduces himself.

"I'm Devon."

Then, Anakin steps forward, introducing himself.

"I'm Anakin Skywalker."

"Owen Lars."

Owen gestures to the young lady next to him on his right.

"This is my girlfriend, Beru."

"Hi." Beru greets

Padmé nods her head as she introduces herself.

"I'm Padmé."

Owen looks toward Anakin.

"I guess I'm your step-brother. I had a feeling you might show up someday." Owen says

Beru looks over at Devon with interest.

"You're the Keyblade Wielder, right? The one Shmi mentioned?" Beru says

Devon nods his head in affirmation.

"Sure am." Devon says

"We heard about you. She said you were a very bright young man." Beru says

"Is my mother here?" Anakin asks

"No. She's not." A male voice says

Everyone turns their attention to another resident of the farm: a man named Cliegg Lars as he approaches them.

Cliegg Lars was a kind moisture farmer who had lost his right-leg from the mid-thigh down, due to a trap laid by Tusken Raiders, which forced him into a repulsorlift chair. He had blond hair, blue eyes, and light skin.

Cliegg wore a dark gray vest with tan robes underneath.

"Cliegg Lars. Shmi is my wife." Cliegg says

The crippled man extends his right-hand out to Anakin and shakes his hand in greeting. Then, he shakes Devon's hand as he greets him next.

"Pleased to meet you, sir." Devon says

"We should go inside. We have a lot to talk about." Cliegg says

The group went inside the homestead while Cliegg explained his relationship with Shmi. They all sat at a table while Beru fetched them drinks.

"So, Cliegg, can you tell us what happened to Shmi?" Devon asks

"It was just before dawn that they came out of nowhere. A hunting party of Tusken Raiders. Shmi had gone out early like she always did to pick off the mushrooms that grew off the vaporators. From the tracks, she was about halfway home when they took her." Cliegg explains

"Tusken Raiders? I've heard of them during the Boonta Eve Podrace. So, you're saying they kidnapped Shmi?" Devon says

Cliegg nods his head.

"Those Tuskens walk like men, but they're vicious, mindless monsters. Thirty of us went out after her, four of us came back. I'd be out there with them, but ever since I lost my leg, I just couldn't ride anymore un-until I heal. I don't want to give up on her, but she's been gone a month. There's little hope she's lasted this long." Cliegg says

After hearing everything that Cliegg had told him, Anakin rose from his seat.

"Where are you going?" Owen asks

"To find my mother." Anakin says

"Your mother's dead, son. Accept it." Cliegg says

Anakin stared at Cliegg for a moment, then walks off in the homestead, refusing to accept the fate of her mother. He was determined to go find her. Everyone watched as he left. Devon soon rose from his seat and followed after him. He understood why he wanted to save his mother. It wouldn't be right to leave her to suffer at the hands of a violent, nomadic tribe like the Tusken Raiders.

Later that evening, the sun was beginning to set and Anakin stood outside, staring out at the twin suns. Devon came up from the pourstone entry dome and stared at Anakin for a moment as he stood there. Eventually, he walked up and stood alongside him, gazing up at the sunset and the two suns, though being careful not to stare at them for too long without harming his eyes.

"Anakin, I know you're determined to save your mother, and I won't stop you, but I am concerned about you. I'm afraid you might lose yourself in going down this path." Devon says

"Don't be. I won't." Anakin says

"You know, back when we first met, I made myself a promise that I would do everything in my power to look after you. To make sure your heart stays on the right path, and I intend to keep that promise." Devon says

Devon places his left-hand on Anakin's right-arm, causing him to look over at the young teen as he looks back at him with a determined expression.

"I'm with you, Anakin. Cliegg Lars and his family might think she's dead, but I believe Shmi is out there still. I can sense it. We will find her and we'll bring her back home. And I'll do everything in my power to help you save her." Devon says

Anakin smiles, glad that he had Devon on his side.

"Thank you, Devon." Anakin says

Padmé comes up from the pourstone entry dome and walks over to the Keyblade Wielder and Jedi Padawan, deeply worried about them.

"You're going to have to stay here. These are good people, Padmé. You'll be safe." Anakin says

"Anakin..." Padmé says

Padmé wraps her arms around Anakin, embracing him in a tight hug. Then, she embraced Devon in a similar hug, feeling just as worried for him as she was for Anakin.

"Devon, please be careful." Padmé says

"Don't worry, Padmé. We'll be fine." Devon says.

"We won't be long." Anakin says

Anakin and Devon walk over towards two Zephyr-G Swoop bikes that were nearby. Devon throws his left-leg over the bike and makes himself comfortable on the vehicle. He feels the handle grips of the bike, getting a feel for it. Through the Force using psychometry, Devon quickly learned how to drive the swoop bike as he took hold of the controls. Prepared for the task ahead, the Keyblade Wielder and Jedi Padawan drive off into the wastelands while Padmé watched them go as they set out to find Shmi Skywalker.

Devon and Anakin raced their swoop bikes across the desert, traveling fast and far throughout the night. Their quest proved to be a challenge for both Anakin and Devon, but they were determined to save her.

At one point during their journey, they stop and talk to some Jawa scavengers for information and learn about a Tusken Raider camp not far from their location. Now knowing where to go, the two heroes continued onward.

(Geonosis)

After walking for many miles, Obi-Wan reaches the Stalgasin Hive, the capital of Geonosis, and snuck into the hive through one of the spires.

Entering the hive, Obi-Wan looked around and saw that he was in what appeared to be a large atrium with a yellow crystalline ceiling and windows.

As he walked through the atrium, the Jedi Master heard what sounded like machinery clanging echoing inside the hall. Following the sound, Obi-Wan stumbles upon a large, subterranean cavern with a massive droid factory inside. Dozens of battle droids, weapons, and vehicles were mass-produced, being constructed and built along conveyor belts and assembly lines by robotic arms. The factory was highly automated, requiring little oversight from the Geonosian workers.

Obi-Wan was alarmed at this discovery. The Separatists were building an army of their own: an army of battle droids.

Wanting to know what other shady activities was occurring down here, Obi-Wan heads down some stairs, proceeding further into the hive to continue with his investigation.

The Jedi Master walks down a hallway when he heard voices from around the corner on his right, causing him to stop in his tracks.

"We must persuade the Commerce Guild and the Corporate Alliance to sign the treaty." A male voice says

Obi-Wan recognized this voice. It was Count Dooku, the former Jedi Master who had betrayed the Jedi Order. Obi-Wan quickly hides in a crevice as Dooku approaches. He was not alone. With him was Nute Gunray, the Viceroy of the Trade Federation with his right-hand, Rune Haako, and surprisingly Lord Drazor, the Dark Knight, Lord Thanatos' apprentice. Also with them was Poggle the Lesser of Geonosian Industries, who was also the Archduke of Geonosis. San Hill, chairman of the InterGalactic Banking Clan, and Wat Tambor, the foreman of the Techno Union.

San Hill was a male Muun, a thin, tall humanoid species from the frozen world of Scipio. He had a thin, gaunt body, an elongated head with a hairless cranium, gold eyes, tiny ears in the middle of the sides of his head, a flat nose, a slim mouth, long arms and legs, thin waists, long, thin fingers, and pasty yellow skin.

Wat Tambor was a male Skakoan, a bipedal sentient species from Skako that had a thin build and pale, folded skin that green, blue or purple. His skin was green and he hardly had little facial and or body hair. His face consisted of a toothless mouth, two black eyes, and a pair of nasal slits. His head had a crown of raised ridges around the sides with a wide depression in the center. Like the rest of his species, Tambor wore a fully pressurized suit, which was required for him to survive as he did not breathe oxygen, but hydrogen sulfide.

Obi-Wan watches Count Dooku and the Separatists from the shadows as they walk past him. Then, he heard Nute Gunray as he spoke.

"What about the senator of Naboo? Is she dead yet? I'm not signing your treaty until I have her head on my desk." Gunray says

"I'm a man of my word, Viceroy." Dooku says

"With these new battle droids we've built for you, you'll have the finest army in the galaxy." Tambor says

There was one part of the mystery solved. Nute Gunray must've hired Jango Fett to kill Padmé, most likely for revenge after his humiliating defeat after the Battle of Naboo.

Obi-wan follows the Separatists to a conference room, hiding above them and looking down through holes in the ceiling. There were more individuals in the room. Passel Argente, the Magistrate of the Corporate Alliance, Tikkes of the Quarren Isolation League, and Shu Mai of the Commerce Guild.

Passel Argente was a male Koorivar, a tall near-human sentient from Kooriva. He had green reptilian skin, pale green eyes, banded ridges along his nose and brows, craniums studded with several small twisting horns surrounding a larger horn that spiraled upwards from the center of his skull. He wore orange robes and an orange head scarf.

Tikkes was a male Quarren, a squid-like humanoid from the watery planet of Mon Calamari. He had four facial tentacles which protruded from their lower jaw, deep turquoise eyes and finned hands with suction-tipped fingers, two long protrusions that extended from either side of his face, and salmon-colored skin. He wore a white and light brown robe, a pair of leather braces on his arms, and a large brown brace around his body.

Shu Mai was a female Gossam, a diminutive blue-skinned saurian from the planet Castell. She had wrinkled skin, blue eyes, long necks, and three-toed feet. She wore jewelry including neck rings, an emblazoned jewel crest, and a rich skirt made of rare uris silk.

Obi-Wan observed the Separatists as they sat around a large, circular table in a meeting with Dooku, listening in to their conversation.

"As I explained to you earlier, I am quite convinced that 10,000 more systems will rally to our cause with your support, gentlemen." Dooku says

"Tee feelya be unko dee dude yat yeengkat ude dyeenka. (What you are proposing could be construed as treason.)" Shu Mai says in Gossam

"The Techno Union Army..." Tambor says

The Skokoan's language transition module spat out junk noise, making electronic warbling sounds. Tambor turns the module to compress his dialogue back to Basic.

"...is at your disposal, Count." Tambor says

"The Banking Clan will sign your treaty." San Hill says

"Good. Very good. Our friends from the Trade Federation have pledged their support, and when their battle droids are combined with yours, we shall have an army greater than any in the Galaxy. The Jedi and the Keyblade Wielder, Devon will be overwhelmed. The Republic will agree to any demands we make." Dooku says

Obi-Wan was shocked by what he had just discovered. Count Dooku and the Separatists were preparing for war. He had to warn the Jedi Council and the Republic of what was coming. And so, he snuck back out the way he came, heading back to his ship as quick as he could.

In the conference room, as he stood next to Count Dooku, Lord Drazor sensed someone nearby. He glances up on his right, staring up at the hole in the ceiling where Obi-Wan had been hiding. The evil Keyblade Wielder said nothing and remained silent as he looks back on the meeting. If there was a spy in their midst, he will find him.

(Tatooine)

Following the information given to them by the Jawa scavangers, Devon and Anakin found the Tusken Raider camp, arriving on a ridge high above the camp. There were twenty-five huts down below with fifteen campfires lit up around the site. It was dark still in the early morning, so it should be easy to sneak in undetected. Devon and Anakin both jumped down the cliffside and quietly made their way through the camp.

In the center of the camp were two Massiffs, squat quadruped, reptilian, canine-like creatures that had coarse skin, large jaws with mouths full of long dagger-like teeth, big dark eyes, and a row of spines along their humped backs, standing roughly one meter high. Native to desert environments, Massiffs were dangerous hunters. Many of these creatures were domesticated and trained as sentries and guard dogs in the Distant Galaxy.

Sticking to the shadows and avoiding the two Massiffs as they were preoccupied with fighting each other over a bone, the Keyblade Wielder and Jedi Padawan moved from hut to hut, using the Force to sense for Shmi as they searched for her. Eventually, they felt her presence inside one of the huts. Anakin ignites his blue lightsaber and cuts a hole through the thick cloth that held the structure together. He kicks open the hole with his right-foot and the two heroes move into the hut. Once inside, they found Shmi tied to a wooden pole by her hands, badly beaten, cut up, and near-death.

"Oh, no. Shmi!" Devon gasps

Devon and Anakin quickly move to free Shmi and untie her.

"Mom? Mom?" Anakin says

Anakin held his mother in his arms and lowered her down gently. Devon kneeled down next to Anakin on his right as he looked down at Shmi.

"Ani? Is it you?" Shmi says

"I'm here, Mom. So is Devon. You're safe." Anakin says

"Ani? Ani?" Shmi says

After staring at him for a couple of seconds, Shmi soon recognizes her son.

"Oh, you look so handsome." Shmi says placing her right-hand on Anakin's cheek

Anakin kisses her hand.

"My son. Oh, my grown-up son. I am so proud of you, Ani." Shmi says

"I missed you." Anakin says

"Now I am complete." Shmi says

Shmi soon notices Devon on her left as he looked down at her.

"Devon?" Shmi says

Devon nods his head.

"Hang in there, Shmi. You're gonna be alright." Devon says

Shmi smiles.

"I'm glad I got to see you again." Shmi says

Feeling that she was close to death, the wounded mother looks back up at her son.

"Ani... I love y-" Shmi says weakly

"Stay with me, Mom. Everything-" Anakin says

"I love... I-I love..." Shmi says weakly

Shmi groans as the life slowly left her body.

"Shmi? Shmi?" Devon says

Eventually, Shmi succumbs to her wounds and falls backwards as she dies in Anakin's arms. The young Jedi and Keyblade Wielder stared in shock, disbelief, and horror. They were too late. Anakin was overwhelmed with grief and sorrow. Devon shut his eyes with a saddened expression. Anakin runs his right-hand over his mother's face, closing her eyes and closes her mouth before setting her down gently onto the ground.

"I'm sorry, Anakin. We tried." Devon says

Anakin said nothing and he looks up with angry look on his face. The Tuskens were going to pay for what they did to his mother.

Devon stared down at Shmi's body, feeling bad for Anakin. He promised him that he'd do everything in his power to save his mother. And now knowing that he had failed to keep that promise made him feel even worse.

Suddenly, as he looked down at Shmi, Devon saw a faint vision of his mother, Shara, laying in Shmi's place with a large bloody hole in her body. This caused him to jump up to his feet and gasp in shock. Devon held his head with his right-hand and shook his head to make sure he wasn't losing his mind. He blinked his eyes and looked back down at the ground to see Shmi's body again. Then, he noticed that Anakin was no longer with him as he had disappeared.

"Anakin? Anakin?" Devon says

Suddenly, the young teen heard the sound of a lightsaber igniting behind him and he quickly turns around to see Anakin chop off the heads of two Tusken Raiders, who were sitting just outside the hut. The natives in the camp were now alerted to their presence. The women and children scattered to get to safety while the male Tuskens rushed toward Anakin and attacked. Anakin cuts down a Tusken Raider, who came up to him and moves onto the rest in the camp.

Devon emerges from the hut and looked down at the two headless Tuskens at his feet, then gazes in horror at what was happening. Anakin had given in to anger and his rage-filled hatred toward the Sand People was turning him to the dark side of the Force. This was very bad. Devon had to stop Anakin before the darkness takes him.

"Anakin, no!" Devon shouts

Just as the Keyblade Wielder moved to stop the slaughter, he was suddenly overcome with sharp pain in his head.

"Gaaaaah!" Devon screams in pain

Devon clutches his head with both hands and he falls down onto his knees as he was under attack from another mental migraine, assaulted with more intense visions and images. These were centered more around his mother and her death.

"Devon, shut your eyes! Don't look back!"

The visions that Devon had experienced in his nightmare replayed in his mind, starting with him being carried in his mother's arms as he watched the destruction of the Celestial Realm.

"Mommy!"

In a flash of light, the vision progressed, showing the Dark Keyblade: Fear's Shadow as it slowly rose up over Shara's fallen body, zooming in on the ram skull in the hilt, the long cruel blade, the black demonic wings that were the Dark Keyblade's teeth, and the glowing red eye of darkness in the head of the evil blade.

Then, Shara's screams echoed in Devon's mind as her life was ended with the sound of the Dark Keyblade stabbing into her body.

Devon fights against the mental assault in his head for two minutes. It felt like thousands of knives were stabbing into his brain. Eventually, Devon falls unconscious from the extreme pain as he falls forward and collapses flat on his stomach. His head felt very heavy and he could barely move. Using the last bit of his strength, Devon looks up as he saw Anakin slaughtering more of the Tusken Raiders, slicing one in half across the waist and another with a quick chop across the chest.

"Anakin..." Devon says weakly

Devon's vision becomes blurry as he slowly slips away into unconsciousness until his head drops onto the sand and he finally blacks out.

(Coruscant)

In the Jedi Temple, Master Yoda was in his personal quarters, sitting cross-legged in silence.

Yoda's quarters was yellow-hued, hexagonal and bare with shaded windows framed by smooth pillars. There were few pieces of furniture, including an organiform table, bed, and three tuffet meditation pads, the center one in which the Jedi Grand Master sat on.

Yoda was deep in his meditation when he sensed a great disturbance in the Force. He could hear Qui-Gon's spirit trying to calm Anakin in an attempt to prevent the carnage happening on Tatooine, but it was in vain.

"Anakin! Anakin! Nooo!" Qui-Gon's voice says

Mace Windu soon steps into the chamber and takes a seat alongside Master Yoda. As he looked at him, Windu saw a pained expression on Yoda's face.

"What is it?" Windu asks

"Pain... Suffering... Death, I feel." Yoda says

The small, green Jedi Master took a deep breath before telling the dark-skinned human more.

"Something terrible has happened. Young Skywalker and Devon are in pain. Terrible pain." Yoda says

(Geonosis)

Obi-Wan, now back at his ship, attempted to contact the Jedi Council on Coruscant to inform them of his findings. He tried using his ship's transmitters, but the signal wasn't strong enough given how far they were from the galactic center.

"The transmitter is working, but we're not receiving a return signal. Coruscant's too far away. R4, can you boost the power?" Obi-Wan says

R4 beeps in a negative tone, saying that he had no way of increasing the range of the transmission.

"We'll have to try something else." Obi-Wan says

Obi-Wan climbs into his starfighter and goes to his controls inside.

"Maybe we can contact Anakin and Devon on Naboo. It's much closer." Obi-Wan says

The Jedi Master activates his ship's transmitters and calls out to the Keyblade Wielder and his Padawan through the onboard communicator.

"Anakin? Devon? This is Obi-Wan Kenobi. Anakin? Devon?"

Obi-Wan doesn't receive a response. He looks at the navigational map in his starfighter and scans the planet of Naboo for their signatures, but doesn't pick up their signals.

"They're not on Naboo, R4." Obi-Wan says

R4 beeps in confusion.

"I'm going to try and widen the range." Obi-Wan says

Obi-Wan began to feel concerned for his young Padawan and his Keyblade Wielder friend. Jango Fett was in hiding now that Obi-Wan was after him, so that was one less worry, but he was still concerned for them.

"I do hope nothing has happened to them." Obi-Wan says

Unknown to Obi-Wan, he was being spied on by a lone Geonosian, who watched him from the cliffs not far from where he was.

In his ship, Obi-Wan looked at the map as his sensors picked up on Anakin and Devon's signatures, showing that they were on Tatooine.

"That's Anakin and Devon's tracking signal alright, but it's coming from Tatooine." Obi-Wan says

Obi-Wan climbs back out of this starfighter. He was confused as to why Devon and Anakin were on Tatooine. And why did they not contact him about moving there?

"What in the blazes are they doing there? I told them to stay on Naboo." Obi-Wan asks

R4 beeps, telling his master that he was picking up nearby signatures on his scanners. Count Dooku and the Separatists must've discovered his presence on the planet. Obi-Wan looks up at the ridges and cliffs that surrounded him. He felt as though he was being watched. There could be spies hiding anywhere.

Despite Anakin and Devon's reasons for traveling to Tatooine, they were still close enough to redirect his transmission to Coruscant. He had to contact them and fast.

"We don't have much time." Obi-Wan says

Acting quickly, the Jedi Master sends out his transmission to Tatooine, hoping that the Keyblade Wielder and his Padawan would receive his signal.

"Anakin, Devon, do you copy? This is Obi-Wan Kenobi."

(Tatooine)

In the Nubian Yacht Starship, Obi-Wan's hologram appears on a holoprojector in the cockpit between the pilot and passenger seat, but his image was broken and static. His voice was garbled, distorted, and static, breaking up into high and low pitches due to the weakness of his signal. R2-D2 was in the cockpit with his scomp link, an extendable arm with a rotating tip, plugged into a console through a socket as he tried to clean up the signal and make the transmission clearer to understand.

"Retransmit this- Anakin, Devon, do you copy? Anakin- My long range- (Static) has been knocked out. Retransmit this message to Coruscant."

In the Tusken Raider camp, Devon stirs awake as he slowly regains consciousness.

"Mmm... Ohh... Uhh..." Devon groans

Devon pushes himself up and lifted his head to see the camp completely destroyed. The bodies of Tusken Raiders and Massiffs, men, women, and children numbering in dozens, littered the ground all around the area. The huts were torn apart and decimated with some still burning in flames. His eyes widened and he gasped at the devastation. And right there standing in the middle of it all with his lightsaber ignited was Anakin Skywalker, the cause of the slaughter and destruction. His expression was full of rage and anger as he panted heavily for air, but he soon calmed down as he looked towards Devon. He switched off his lightsaber, clipped it to his belt, and went over to the young teen. He bends down and extends his right-hand out to him.

"Devon, are you alright?" Anakin asks

Devon stared at Anakin, still in shock and disbelief at what he had done, but he soon took his hand and was lifted up onto his feet.

"Yeah. Ngh... I'm alright." Devon says

Devon and Anakin took one last look at the destroyed camp and the bodies that laid around them. Then, they glance over at the hut where Shmi's body was, which was surprisingly still intact. They walk over and went inside to gaze upon her dead form. They still could not believe that she was gone. But nonetheless, they had completed their quest and found her.

"Let's get out of here." Devon says

And so, having found Shmi, the two heroes went back to their swoop bikes and traveled back into the desert, taking Shmi's body with them as they left the ruined camp behind.

Devon and Anakin returned to the Lars Homestead with Shmi's body wrapped in cloth, coming to a stop on the farm. Padmé, C-3PO, Owen Lars, Beru, and Cliegg Lars heard the sound of their swoop bikes and came up from the pourstone dome to meet them.

The two heroes dismounted their bikes and walked over to the deceased mother, who was laying on the back of Anakin's bike. Anakin goes to pick up Shmi, but not before Devon places his right-hand on her body, paying his respects. He looks up at Anakin and nods his head to him, then steps back. Carrying his mother in his arms, the Jedi walks past Padmé, C-3PO, and the Lars Family with a hardened look on his face, not saying a word to any of them as they all watched him with silent expressions, and descends down into the homestead through the pourstone dome.

Later that morning, Anakin was tinkering with some machinery inside the homestead's garage when Padmé came in to check on him, bringing in a tray with a cup of blue milk and food.

"I brought you something. Are you hungry?" Padmé asks

"The shifter broke. Life seemed so much simpler when you're fixing things. I'm good at fixing things. Always was. But I couldn't." Anakin says

Padme sets the tray of food down on a metal table to her left as Anakin turns to his right and glances over at her.

"Why'd she have to die? Why couldn't we save her? I know we could have." Anakin says with his voice breaking up

Anakin turns away from Padmé.

"Sometimes there are things no one can fix. You're not all-powerful, Anakin." Padmé says

"Well, I should be! Someday I will be. I will be the most powerful Jedi ever!" Anakin says

The Jedi Padawan turns back to Padmé.

"I promise you. I will even learn to stop people from dying." Anakin says

"Anakin..." Padmé says

"It's all Obi-Wan's fault! He's jealous! He's holding me back!" Anakin yells

Anakin throws the tool in his right-hand away toward the wall on his left, which hits with a loud clattering sound. He then turns away, feeling ashamed with himself.

"Ani, what's wrong?" Padmé asks

The young Jedi remained silent for a moment until he confessed to the grisly slaughter of the Sand People.

"I-I killed them. I killed them all. They're dead. Every single one of them." Anakin says

Anakin slowly turns around to face Padmé.

"And not just the men, but the women and the children too. They're like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals! I hate them!" Anakin yells

Anakin falls back against one of the machines and slowly slumps down onto the floor. Padmé lowers down to offer him comfort.

"To be angry is to be human." Padmé says

"I'm a Jedi. I know I'm better than this." Anakin says

Anakin soon began to break into tears while Padmé sat alongside him as she treated her pained friend with compassion.

Later that day, Devon, Anakin, Padmé, C-3PO, and the Lars Family stood outside near the homestead as they all gathered for a proper funeral for Shmi, whom they had buried on the farm with a small tombstone to mark her resting place.

Padmé now wore a white skin-tight outfit with a white cloak.

"I know wherever you are it's become a better place. You were the most loving partner a man could ever have. Good-bye, my darling wife. And thank you." Cliegg says

Anakin steps up to the small tombstone and kneels down to it. He scoops up some sand in his right-hand and holds it tight in his grip.

"I wasn't strong enough to save you, Mom. I wasn't strong enough. But I promise. I won't fail again." Anakin says

Anakin lets go of the sand in his hand and rises back up onto his feet, not taking his eyes off the tombstone.

"I miss you... so much." Anakin says

Devon looked at the tombstone and instead of seeing Shmi's name emblazoned on it, he saw his mother's name. The young teen shook his head and blinked his eyes. Looking back at the tombstone, it was back to having Shmi's name. Devon places his right-hand on his head. Why was this happening to him? Padmé noticed the pained expression on the young teen's face and she goes over to him.

"Devon? Are you alright?" Padmé asks with worry in her voice placing her left-hand on his left-shoulder

Devon pats her hand and waved his left-hand dismissively.

"Yeah. Yeah. I'm alright." Devon sighs

During the funeral, the group was approached by R2-D2, who beeps at his arrival.

"R2? What are you doing here?" Padmé asks

R2 whistles and beeps while C-3PO translates for the group.

"It seems that he is carrying a message from an Obi-Wan Kenobi. Hmm. Master Ani, Master Devon, does that name mean anything to you?" C-3PO says

Devon and Anakin shared glances with each other. If Obi-Wan was trying to contact them, he must've found something.

"It sure does." Devon says

Devon, Anakin, Padmé, R2-D2 and C-3PO, who had decided to join them, left the homestead and went into their ship to listen to the message. Obi-Wan's transmission was now clear thanks to R2 and the audio was fixed.

"Anakin, Devon, my long-range transmitter has been knocked out. Retransmit this message to Coruscant." Obi-Wan says

Padmé turns over to the controls of the ship and presses a button, transmitting the message to Coruscant.

(Coruscant)

In the chancellor's office, Yoda, Mace Windu, Ahsoka Tano, Plo Koon, Luminara, Bariss Offee, Chancellor Palpatine, Senator Bail Organa, Jar Jar Binks, as well as several other Jedi and senators recieved the message as they stood together as they listened and watched Obi-Wan's hologram, which was projected in the center of the room through a large holoprojector, as he gave his report on the investigation.

"I have tracked the bounty hunter, Jango Fett, to the droid foundries on Geonosis. The Trade Federation is to take delivery of a droid army here, and it is clear that Viceroy Gunray is behind the assassination attempts on Senator Amidala." Obi-Wan says

(Tatooine)

Devon, Anakin, and Padmé were watching the transmission at the same time. The Keyblade Wielder heard about Nute Gunray being responsible for the assassination attempts on Padmé and he was not surprised.

"Should've figured that the Viceroy was behind the attacks on Padmé. After all, we did humiliate him after the Battle of Naboo." Devon says

"The Commerce Guilds and Corporate Alliance have both pledged their armies to Count Dooku and are forming a-" Obi-Wan says

Suddenly, Obi-Wan looks off at something in the hologram.

"Wait. Wait." Obi-Wan says

Obi-Wan ignites his lightsaber and began defending himself against blaster bolts fired by Droidekas as they come into view on the hologram. Devon, Anakin, and Padmé watched in shock.

The Droidekas move out of view and the sound of blaster bolts cease as Lord Drazor appears on the hologram, stepping into view with his Dark Keyblade in his right-hand. The Dark Knight turns and looks at the group. His erratic breathing could be heard as gave both sides on Tatooine and Coruscant a long, menacing stare until finally the transmission ends.

(Coruscant)

After viewing the transmission from Obi-Wan, Yoda and Windu shared concerned glances with each other.

"More happening on Geonosis, I feel, than has been revealed." Yoda says

"I agree." Windu says nodding his head

Windu turns to the holoprojector and speaks directly to Devon and Anakin on Tatooine.

"Anakin, Devon..." Windu says

(Tatooine)

"...we will deal with Count Dooku. The most important thing for you both is to stay where you are. Protect the senator at all costs. That is your first priority." Windu says

"Yes, Master Windu." Devon says

"Understood, Master." Anakin says

The hologram of Windu fades and the transmission ends.

"They'll never get there in time to save him. They'd have to travel halfway across the galaxy." Padmé says

"Are you sure?" Devon asks

"Look." Padmé says

Padmé presses a button on the controls and shows Geonosis on the navigational map.

"Geonosis is less than a parsec away." Padmé says

"If he's still alive." Anakin says

Anakin turns away from Devon and Padmé and walks to the other side of the cockpit.

"Ani, are you just gonna to sit here and let him die? He's your friend, your mentor. He's-" Padmé says

"He's like my father! But you heard Master Windu. He gave me and Devon strict orders to stay here!" Anakin says

"He gave you both strict orders to protect me, and I going to help save Obi-Wan. If you plan to protect me, you'll just have to come along." Padmé says

Padmé began powering up the ship. Devon and Anakin look toward each other and smile.

"Eh, I never could stay in one place anyway." Devon says shrugging his shoulders

Devon walks over to Padmé and places his left-hand on her right-shoulder, standing behind her, while Anakin sits down in the pilot's seat.

"I'm with you, Padmé. Let's go give Obi-Wan some backup." Devon says

Padmé looks back up at Devon and smiles. Behind them R2 whistles and beeps as C-3PO takes his seat.

"Not to worry, R2. It's just that I've never flown before." C-3PO says

With the ship powered up, the group takes off leave Tatooine as they began heading for Geonosis on a new mission to help save Obi-Wan from Count Dooku, Lord Drazor, and the Separatists.

(Coruscant)

After reviewing the transmission from Obi-Wan, the senators talked amongst themselves about the situation at hand after hearing what they just learned.

"The Commerce Guilds are preparing themselves for war. There is no doubt of that." Bail says

"Count Dooku must've made a treaty with them." Palpatine says

A Gran Senator named Ask Aak speaks up.

"The debate is over! Now we need that clone army." Ask Aak says

"Unfortunately, the debate is not over. The senate will never approve the use of clones before the Separatists attack." Bail says

"This is a crisis. The senate must vote the chancellor emergency power. He can then approve the creation of an army." Mas Amedda says

"But what senator would have the courage to propose such a radical amendment?" Palpatine asks

"If only... Senator Amidala were here." Mas Amedda says

"Mmm." Palpatine says nodding in agreement

Jar Jar heard this and he looks down, feeling nervous. He remembers that Padmé chose him to represent her in the senate, but he wasn't sure if he could go along with it.

(Geonosis)

On the desert planet of Geonosis, Count Dooku decided to pay Obi-Wan a visit. They had him held captive in one of the spires in the hive. Two Geonosian guards stand at attention outside the door as Dooku heads inside to meet Qui-Gon's apprentice. Inside, Obi-Wan was kept in a stasis field, suspended in the air by his hands and feet.

"Traitor." Obi-Wan says

"Oh, no, my friend. This is a mistake, a terrible mistake. They've gone too far. This is madness." Dooku says

"I thought you were the leaders here, Dooku." Obi-Wan says

"This had nothing to do with me, I assure you. I will petition immediately to have you set free." Dooku says innocently

"Well, I hope it doesn't take too long. I have work to do." Obi-Wan says

"May I ask why a Jedi Knight is all the way out here on Geonosis?" Dooku asks

"I've been tracking a bounty hunter named Jango Fett. Do you know him?" Obi-Wan asks

"There are no bounty hunters here that I am aware of. The Geonosians don't trust them." Dooku says

"Well, who could blame them, but he is here, I can assure you." Obi-Wan says

"It's a great pity that our paths had never crossed before, Obi-Wan, save for when we met at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Qui-Gon always spoke very highly of you." Dooku says

Dooku looks away from Obi-Wan as he thought of his apprentice.

"I wish he were still alive. I could use his help right now." Dooku says

"Qui-Gon Jinn would never join you." Obi-Wan says

"Don't be so sure, my young Jedi. You forget that he was once my apprentice, just as you were once his. He knew all about the corruption in the senate, but he would have never gone along with it if he had learned the truth as I have." Dooku says

"The truth?" Obi-Wan asks

"The truth." Dooku says

Dooku walks around Obi-Wan for a moment before he speaks to him again.

"What if I told you that the senate was now under the control of the Dark Lord of the Sith?" Dooku says

"No. That's not possible. The Jedi would be aware of it." Obi-Wan says

"The dark side of the Force has clouded their vision, my friend. Hundreds of senators are now under the influence of a Sith Lord called Darth Sidious." Dooku says

"I don't believe you." Obi-Wan says

"The viceroy of the Trade Federation was once in league with this Darth Sidious, but he was betrayed ten years ago by the Dark Lord. He came to me for help. He told me everything. And what's more. He told me Darth Sidious himself was in league with an ancient, powerful being who calls himself Lord Thanatos, a Keyblade Master, much like our friend, Devon. And, in turn, both Darth Sidious and Lord Thanatos are allied with an even more powerful entity. One that is said to be the strongest being in existence in all infinite corners of the Universe: The Dark Lord of the Shadows, Makuta Teridax. He is the supreme ruler of a powerful empire called The Dark Order and commands forces beyond comprehension, including the Sith. Ancient and eternal as time itself, The Dark Lord has many followers and disciples." Dooku says

The former Jedi Master steps closer to Obi-Wan.

"You must join me, Obi-Wan. And together, we will destroy the Sith, Teridax, and his allies." Dooku says

Obi-Wan didn't buy Dooku's story for a minute, although having heard mention of Teridax, the Dark Lord of Shadows did cause him a little bit of concern. Still, he defiantly declined Dooku's offer.

"I will never join you, Dooku." Obi-Wan says

Count Dooku stared at Obi-Wan for a moment, but soon took his leave as he walks toward the door of the chamber, but not before he stopped and looked back at the imprisoned Jedi.

"It may be difficult to secure your release." Dooku says

Having said that, the former Jedi Master leaves the room.

(Coruscant)

In the Senate Building, all the Senators and Representatives of the Republic met in the Grand Convocation Chamber where Jar Jar Binks took the stand The Gungan felt that it was his duty to act in Padmé's stead and he mustered up the courage to speak to the Senate in granting emergency powers to Chancellor Palpatine.

Windu walks into the chamber and joins Yoda as they stand on one of the balconies and listened in to the meeting as Jar Jar gave his speech.

"It's-a clear desa Separatists made a pact wesa desa Federation du Trade. Senators, dellow felagates. In response to this direct threat to the Republic, mesa propose that the senate give immediately emergency powers to the Supreme Chancellor." Jar Jar says

The crowd shouts and applauds in approval. Chancellor Palpatine then takes the stand.

"Order! We shall have order!" Mas Amedda shouts

"It is with great reluctance that I have agreed to this calling. I love democracy. I love the Republic. The powers you give me, I will lay down when this crisis has abated." Palpatine says

The crowd applauds again.

"And as my first act with this new authority, I will create a grand army of the Republic to counter the increasing threats of the Separatists." Palpatine says

On their balcony, the two Jedi Master turn and look toward each other.

"It is done, then." Windu says

"Hmm." Yoda says nodding his head

"I will take what Jedi we have left and go to Geonosis and help Obi-Wan." Windu says

"Visit I will the cloners of Kamino, hmm, and see this army they have created for the Republic." Yoda says

Windu nods his head to the Grand Master and he leaves to make preparations for the journey to Geonosis. At this point, war in the Distant Galaxy was inevitable and both the Republic and the Separatists were ready to strike against each other.
