It was a habit that Auron had noticed ever since he knew him. It might sort of explain why his house was always so clean and tidy despite the condition of his mother. Maybe it was one of his ways of venting his frustrations or letting off some pressure.
Tidus sat in a corner of the inn, with that familiar expression on his face that showed that he was feeling some emotional trauma or blow, he looked as if he was going to explode anytime. Auron observed the boy for a while, pushed himself off the wall and walked towards Wakka and Rikku who were playing around.
Rikku was clinging onto Wakka's back when Auron called her name, she looked up to the older guardian with a curious "huh?" and wondered if she had done something that made him want to smack her on the head again.
She climbed and sat on Wakka's shoulders, arms resting on top of his head while trying to press down his gravity defying hair to look at Auron without any obstacles.
Auron looked back at Tidus for a second and switched his glance back to Rikku who was behaving like a monkey around Wakka.
"Do you think you can negotiate with Rin to give us free lodging for the night if Tidus volunteer to scrub his entire inn?"
