June 6th. The same day that Devon and Harry witnessed Professor Trelawney's prediction, and also the day of Buckbeak's grisly execution. On that cloudy, miserable evening, dozens of crows stood and flapped around in the Clock Tower Courtyard, cawing loudly with their voices. They knew that murder was in the air and they were eager to feast on the remains of the poor, unfortunate victim. The Keyblade Wielder and the Wizarding Trio left Hogwarts Castle and began making their way over to Hagrid's Hut to console him during this difficult time.
Harry was wearing his black-striped open jacket with a pale light blue shirt underneath, beige pants, and black shoes. Ron wore a brown sweater with a red shirt underneath, dark gray trousers, and brown shoes. And Hermione wore a pink zipped up jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes.
The heroes exit the castle from the Clock Tower and walk across the Viaduct Courtyard, where they saw a tall, muscular man, the executioner for the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures at the Ministry of Magic, Walden Macnair, sitting at a tree in the courtyard and sharpening his huge, heavy, two-handed axe with a rock in his right-hand.
Walden Macnair was a 33 year old British Pure-blood who worked for the Ministry of Magic as an Executioner. He was a violent, bloodthirsty man with a fondness for killing, wearing a black executioner's mask that covered most of his face, save for his eyes, nose, and mouth. He also wore black ragged clothes, fingerless gloves, and boots.
Walden gave the Keyblade Wielder and the Wizarding Trio a nasty look as they passed by, continuing to sharpen the large curved blade of his axe, while the heroes continued walking out onto the wooden bridge and crossing over the ravine.
"I can't believe they're going to kill Buckbeak. It's just too horrible." Hermione says
On the other side, the quartet were about to come off the bridge and walk into the Sundial Garden when they stopped at the exit and noticed three certain Slytherins in the garden.
"It just got worse." Ron says
Those three Slytherins were none other than Malfoy and two of his gang, Goyle and Pike. They were hiding behind one of four giant stones, the third one on the right specifically, peeking down at Hagrid's Hut from the left-side with a pair of binoculars.
"Did I tell you? Father said I can keep the Hippogriff's head. I think I'll donate it to the Gryffindors' Common Room." Malfoy says
"Wicked!" Goyle says
Devon, Harry, and Ron heard their conversation about Buckbeak and they were furious, but not as much as Hermione was right now. Taking the lead, Hermione comes out of hiding with her friends and storms over towards Malfoy and his gang, who turned around and noticed them.
"Huh, look who's here." Goyle says
"Ah, come to see the show?" Malfoy asks with a smile
"You! You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach!" Hermione yells taking out her wand from the right-pocket of her jeans and holding it up to Malfoy's neck while he backed up against the giant stone
"Hermione, no! It's not worth it!" Ron says
Afraid that Hermione might lose herself in her anger, Devon rushes over to her and places his left-hand on her right-shoulder to calm her down.
"Easy, Hermione. Don't do something you might regret." Devon says
Hermione stared at the whimpering Malfoy for a long seven seconds until she finally lowers her wand and puts it away, back in her pocket. Malfoy and his gang chuckled, but then Hermione hits Malfoy with a strong straight punch to his face, knocking him down to the ground.
"Malfoy, you okay? Let's go." Goyle says
Goyle and Pike help their leader back onto his feet and they all make a run for the wooden bridge.
"Quick. Run." Malfoy says
"Wait for me." Pike says
"Not a word to anyone. Understood?" Malfoy says
"Okay!" Goyle says
"I'm gonna get that jumped up Mudblood! You mark my words!" Malfoy says
The Keyblade Wielder and the Wizarding Trio watched as they fled onto the bridge, then the three boys looked back at Hermione.
"That felt good." Hermione says
"Not good, brilliant." Ron says
"Alright, come on. Let's get down to Hagrid's." Devon says
Devon, Harry, Ron, and Hermione descend down the hill, following along the dirt path that led down to Hagrid's Hut. To the right of the hut was a bunch of ridiculously large pumpkins. Buckbeak was lying on the ground with his left-forepaw resting over the other, chained to a wooden post in the middle of the patch of pumpkins. His head perked up when he saw the heroes coming by to see him.
Inside the hut, Ron and Hermione sat at a wooden table having themselves cups of tea while Devon and Harry stood with Hagrid at the open window, watching the Hippogriff as he laid calmly on the dirt.
"Oh, look at him. Loves the smell of the trees when the wind blows through them." Hagrid says
"Why don't we just set him free?" Harry asks
"Ah, they'd know it was me, and then Dumbledore would get into trouble." Hagrid says
"We wouldn't want that." Devon says
"He's coming down, you know, Dumbledore. Says he wants to be with me when they..." Hagrid says
The Half-giant paused for a moment as he couldn't bring himself to say the words.
"...when it happens. Great man, Dumbledore. Great man." Hagrid says
The group heard a loud caw in the hut. The sound came from a strange plant-like creature with its head peeking out of a large pot that had dark grey skin and appeared somewhat similar to the Mandrake plant. Hagrid grabs a treat from a small open pot on his right and tosses it over to the magical creature, who catches it in its mandibles.
"We'll stay with you, too, Hagrid." Hermione says
"You'll do no such thing. Think I want you seeing something like that? No, you just drink your tea and be off. Oh, before you do, Ron..." Hagrid says
Walking over to a nearby shelf, Hagrid pulls open the lid of a rectangular metal container and took something out before returning back to Ron. In his large hands was Scabbers, safe and sound. Ron immediately got up and took his pet rat, relieved that he was alright.
"Scabbers! You're alive!" Ron exclaims happily
"See? What'd I tell you?" Devon says
"Want to keep a closer eye on your pets, Ron." Hagrid says
"I think that means you owe someone an apology." Hermione says
Ron turns around to his left and faces Hermione.
"Right. Next time I see Crookshanks, I'll let him know." Ron says
"I meant me!" Hermione says
Suddenly, a tall, tan pot on the round wooden table breaks in half with brown sugar spilling out from the left.
"Blimey! What was that?" Hagrid asks
Hermione goes over to the table and saw something on it. She picks it up and holds it up in the palm of her right-hand. It was a black ammonite fossil. Two more fossils hit Devon and Harry in the back of their heads.
"Ow!" Harry exclaims
"Ah! What the-?!" Devon exclaims
The Keyblade Wielder and wizard boy place their right-hands on where they were struck and turn around. They looked to see who threw the ammonites, but instead they saw something else.
"Hagrid." Harry says
"We got company." Devon says
Hagrid walks over to the window and his face paled.
"Oh, crikey." Hagrid says
Walking down along the path down the hill was the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge, Headmaster Dumbledore on his left, and Walden Macnair, the executioner behind them with his huge axe hefted over his right-shoulder with the flock of crows following them.
"It's Fudge and Dumbledore. They're coming, along with the executioner." Devon says
"It's late. It's nearly dark. You shouldn't be here." Hagrid says
Moving away from the window, Hagrid walks over to the other side of his hut, then turns to face the quartet.
"If someone sees you outside the castle at this time of night, you'll be in trouble. Big trouble. Particularly you, Harry." Hagrid says
Three loud banging knocks are heard at the door, announcing the arrival of Fudge, Dumbledore, and the executioner.
"With you in a moment!" Hagrid says
Hagrid quickly grabs a large tea towel and covers up his pet plant creature before turning back to the Keyblade Wielder and Wizarding Trio and beckoning them towards the back door.
"Quick. Quick." Hagrid whispers
Devon, Harry, Ron, and Hermione head for the back door behind them. Harry was about to follow his friends when he stopped and looked back at Hagrid.
"Hagrid. It'll be fine. It'll be okay." Harry says
The Half-giant nods his head and waved his hands at Harry, telling him to leave.
"Go on. Go on." Hagrid whispers
Devon, Harry, Ron, and Hermione emerge out the back door of the hut and they peered around the side of the building. They saw Dumbledore, Fudge, and Walden with their backs toward them as they looked towards the hills with Dumbledore pointing Fudge to something with his right-hand. Then, Hagrid opens the front door to welcome his visitors.
"Mr. Dumbledore." Hagrid greets
"Good evening." Dumbledore greets
"Minister, just make your way through." Hagrid says
While Dumbledore, Fudge, and Walden stepped inside to enter Hagrid's Hut, the Keyblade Wielder and the Wizarding Trio sneak out the back and hide behind the patch of large pumpkins as they gazed through the open window of the hut, listening to the conversation inside.
"It is the decision of the Committee for the disposal of Dangerous Creatures that the Hippogriff known as Buckbeak, hereinafter called the condemned, shall be executed this day at sundown." Fudge says
"Oh, dear, dear..." Hagrid says
"Now, now, Hagrid. All right, it'll be all right." Dumbledore says
Suddenly, a stick snaps from the forest behind the heroes, causing them to look back. It was too dark for them to see, however Hermione stared intently, almost as if she saw something peculiar.
"What is it?" Devon asks
"I thought I just saw... Never mind." Hermione says
"Let's go!" Ron says
Moving out of the pumpkin patch, Devon, Harry, Ron, and Hermione head back up the hill towards the Sundial Garden. Devon and Harry glanced their heads over their right-shoulders for a moment back at Buckbeak, who uttered a low, almost sad growl, then continued to follow their friends.
Once they reach the top of the hill, the Keyblade Wielder and Wizarding Trio stood near the furthest giant stone on the right with Ron on the right, Devon and Hermione in the center, and Harry on the left as they gathered to watch the dreadful execution. Downhill, Dumbledore and Hagrid stood at the front door of the hut for a few minutes until they went inside while Fudge stayed outside to watch the grisly task. Walden Macnair took seven steps into the pumpkin patch towards Buckbeak, whose view was obscured by the trees. Slowly, the huge axe was raised high into the air until it finally came down with a loud chopping sound, which echoed loudly throughout the grounds. The crows flew around the site with distressed caws and the quartet could only fear the worst. Buckbeak, the Hippogriff, was dead.
"Oh, no..." Harry says
Hermione buried her head in Devon's left-shoulder and wrapped her arms around his neck as she started to cry. The quartet stood together to console one another until Scabbers bites down on Ron's right-index finger, causing the young wizard to drop the rat.
"Ow!" Ron exclaims
Scabbers falls onto the grass and starts to scurry away. Ron looked down at his pet, then looked at his friends with a surprised expression.
"He bit me." Ron says
Not wanting to lose his pet for a third time, the red-haired wizard sprinted after his rat while his friends followed him.
"Scabbers!" Ron says
"Ron?" Hermione says
"Ron?!" Harry says
The quartet just didn't understand what was happening. Why would Scabbers bite his owner, why was he running away, and where was he running off to?
"Scabbers! Come back!" Ron says
"Ron, wait!" Devon says
Devon, Harry, and Hermione followed Ron around the Sundial Garden and further into the hills, trying to catch up with him. Little did they know that they were being watched by Alura LightHeart, who observed the heroes from the nearby trees. The Unicorn knew where they going and she gasped. Realizing that her human friends were in danger, Alura quickly turned around and galloped into the Forbidden Forest to get her sisters, knowing that the Keyblade Wielder and the Wizarding Trio would need their help.
The grey twilight begins to fall as Devon, Harry, and Hermione eventually catch up with Ron, who had finally managed to catch his pet rat, diving to the ground and grabbing the small rodent in his hands.
"Scabbers, you bit me." Ron says
Devon, Harry, and Hermione stopped right in their tracks and stared at Ron in horror. He was dangerously close to the Whomping Willow, which stood only a few feet away from him.
"Devon, Harry, do you realize what tree this is?" Hermione asks
"Oh, no..." Devon says
"That's not good. Ron, run!" Harry shouts
"Get away from there!" Devon shouts
Sitting on the ground and facing his friends, Ron had his own look of horror when he noticed something evil behind his friends.
"Devon, Harry, Hermione, run! It's the Grim!" Ron exclaims pointing with his right-hand
Devon, Harry, and Hermione quickly turn around and they saw a black, shaggy dog, the same one from Little Whingeing, growling and snarling with its teeth showing. Devon moves infront of Harry and Hermione and brings his right-hand across his body before swinging it back over to his side, summoning his crystal Keyblade: Soul Calibur in a flash of blue light. Within moments, the dog charges at the heroes, barking loudly while Devon, Harry, and Hermione braced themselves. Just as it reaches them, the black dog leaps over the three teens, who ducked down, and instead went straight for Ron, whose eyes widened with fear. Using its sharp teeth, the vicious beast grabs Ron by his right-ankle and drags him towards the Whomping Willow while the red-haired teen screamed and yelled for his friends.
"Harry! Devon!" Ron yells
The Keyblade Wielder, wizard boy, and young witch immediately ran fast to help save Ron and Scabbers as the dog continued to drag them away.
"Ron!" Harry and Hermione exclaim in unison
"Stop!" Devon yells
"Harry, Devon, help!" Ron yells
Harry dives forward and tries to grab Ron's right-hand, but misses him by inches.
"Ron!" Harry exclaims
Ron continues to scream in terror as the dog drags both him and his rat into a hole at the base of the Whomping Willow, disappearing into the darkness within. Devon and Hermione rushes over to Harry's right-side and the Keyblade Wielder kneels down to the hole.
"No! Ron!" Devon yells
Before Devon, Harry, and Hermione could descend down into the hole to save Ron, a large branch from the Whomping Willow swings into the three teens from the left, knocking them away and sending them flying. Soul Calibur was knocked out of Devon's grip and fell onto the ground, disappearing in a flash of light. Devon, Harry, and Hermione fell onto their backs, but they quickly got back onto their feet. They stared up at the Whomping Willow as its whole trunk creaked, swinging its branches around wildly.
"Come on!" Devon says
Determined to save Ron, the three teens run towards the Whomping Willow, heading for the hole in the ground, dodging one of its gnarled limbs as it smashes down on their left. Then, two more limbs swing down towards the trio.
"Move!" Harry says
Devon and Harry jump and dive over to the left and Hermione on the right, dodging the tree's limb as it smashes into the ground between them. They quickly rise back onto their feet as they head toward the base of the willow, and another limb from the tree swings toward them from the right.
"Duck!" Hermione says
Devon and Hermione duck down to avoid being hit, but Harry wasn't fast enough and he winds up getting knocked aside by the gnarled limb. The impact sent Harry flying and it also knocked off his glasses in the process, which fell onto the grass, rendering him blind. Leaving with just Devon and Hermione, they both rise up and saw another gnarled limb coming at them from the right. Instinctively, the Keyblade Wielder and young witch jump over the twisted branches, bending their knees as it swoops under their legs. One of the gigantic limbs swings down towards them, but Devon stretches his hands out in a gripping motion, reaching out with his telekinetic powers and diverting the massive limb away from him and Hermione, swinging his hands to the right. Then, another twisted limb sweeps in from the right, knocking Devon away while Hermione held onto it. The Keyblade Wielder was sent flying and lands next to Harry. Although his vision was blurry, Harry could still see the Whomping Willow infront of him. Both he and Devon quickly rolled over to the right when they saw another one of its gigantic limbs coming down towards them. Then, the two boys looked up and saw Hermione holding onto the gnarled branches above them, screaming in terror. Devon and Harry rise up to their feet and immediately duck down as she swings over them.
"Hermione!" Devon exclaims
"Harry! Devon!" Hermione screams
The twisted limb pulls Hermione down and drags her through its many branches, cutting her up in multiple places while she gasped in pain. Eventually, Harry manages to find his glasses and puts them back on, restoring his far-sighted vision.
"Harry!" Hermione yells
As she rides the gnarled branches down toward him, Hermione grabs hold of Harry's shirt, causing him to look down surprised.
"Huh? Whoa!" Harry says
Harry is then lifted off the ground while Devon ducked down and watched him and Hermione riding the twisted limb of the willow through the air. Soon, they come back around and Hermione releases her hold on Harry's shirt, sending him falling into the hole. Then, she falls into the hole on the next pass.
Devon watches as both his friends slide down the hole and was about to make a mad dash for it when he saw the Whomping Willow descending toward him with all its limbs. Just as it was about to smash down on him, seven colored magical aura beams strike the gigantic trunk of the tree, stopping it halfway. They were light blue, arctic blue, gold, violet, cyan, pink, and pale blue. Turning around on his right, Devon saw that the colorful auras came from Alura and her Unicorn Sisters, Stella, Valoria, Evelyn, Brianna, Leila, and Silvia.
"Alura! Girls!" Devon exclaims
"We've got this, Devon! Go! Save Ron!" Alura says
Devon nods her head and turns to head for the hole. Running straight with full speed, the Keyblade Wielder slides into the hole, descending into the darkness. He catches up with Harry and Hermione at the bottom as they were lying forward on top of one another, and lands on his feet crouched down on his right-knee using his right-hand to catch himself.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Hermione apologizes
"Don't worry." Harry says
"You two alright?" Devon asks
"Yeah." Harry says
The three teens rise up to their feet and look ahead of them as they stood inside a natural tunnel, a secret passage which was hidden right underneath the Whomping Willow.
"Where do you suppose this goes?" Hermione asks
"I have a hunch. I just hope I'm wrong." Harry says
Moving forward, Devon, Harry, and Hermione proceeded down the tunnel and walked up a flight of stairs that were carved in the gray rock, rising up toward the end and readying themselves for whatever came next.
Soon, the three teens reach the other side of the tunnel and emerge from an open hatch in the wooden floor of an empty room in the Shrieking Shack. Devon was the first to emerge out of the hatch, then Harry, and Hermione. Then, they looked around at their surroundings. They stood in a room, a very disordered, dusty room. Paper peeling off the walls, stains all over the floor, and all every piece of furniture was moth-eaten and broken.
"We're in the Shrieking Shack, aren't we?" Hermione asks
"This is the Shrieking Shack? Looks like it's seen better days." Devon says
Devon looks down and saw dirty tracks on the floor. There were pawprints, more than likely belonged the black dog.
"Look! Tracks." Devon says
Following the tracks, the trio saw that they went up the nearby stairs, which led to the second floor. If the pawprints went up the stairs, then that must be where the dog was, and perhaps Ron.
"Come on. They lead up the stairs." Devon says
Devon, Harry, and Hermione walk up the stairs and proceed to follow the tracks. Halfway up, they hear Ron's groans echoing in the abandoned building, coming from upstairs. Continuing to the top, the three teens find him in a bedroom on the right-side, sitting on an old sofa. There was also a fireplace, a large, rusty mirror that hung over it, and a piano with no cover.
"Ron!" Harry exclaims
"Ron, you're okay!" Hermione exclaims
"The dog. Where is it?!" Harry asks
"Devon, Harry, it's a trap! He's the dog! He's an Animagus!" Ron exclaims pointing behind his friends
The Keyblade Wielder and the Wizarding Trio look down at the floor and they saw the same pawprints leading away from them. Following them towards the other side of the room, they saw the Prisoner of Azkaban himself, Sirius Black, standing before them on the right-side of a magnificent, yet dusty four-poster bed with rickety doors. Sirius Black looked exactly as he did in the wanted posters with his mass of filthy, matted hair reaching his shoulders, his eyes with deep, dark sockets, and his waxy skin, wearing ragged clothes, a black and white striped prisoner uniform underneath, and black shoes. Devon's eyes narrowed as he stared the sinister man down.
"Black!" Devon growls
Facing the Prisoner of Azkaban, Devon summons Soul Calibur into his right-hand and both he and Hermione moved infront of Harry to defend him.
"If you want to kill Harry, you'll have to kill us, too!" Hermione says
"No. Only one will die tonight." Sirius says
"Then it will be you!" Harry yells
Shoving past Devon and Hermione and forgetting his small stature and everything else, Harry grabs Sirius by his throat using both hands, grunting as he savagely attacked the man in a short, brief scuffle before wrestling him down to the floor on his back. He then takes out his wand and holds it down at Sirius' head with a mind to kill him while Devon comes around from his left and points his crystal Keyblade down at the escaped prisoner, holding his weapon with both hands with a mind to send him back to where he belonged: Azkaban Prison.
"Don't move, Black! Don't move!" Devon yells
Sirius didn't seemed bothered at all with Harry's wand and Devon's Keyblade pointed at him and chuckled with a smile, showing his dirty, yellow teeth.
"Are you going to kill me, boys?" Sirius asks smiling
"I know Harry wants to kill you for betraying his parents to Voldemort and Teridax, Black, but personally, I think you're better off back behind bars, spending the rest of your days rotting away in jail!" Devon yells
Before Harry could do anything, Lupin arrives in the bedroom, running up the stairs and pointing his wand at his student, casting a spell to disarm him.
"Expelliarmus!" Lupin chants
Harry's wand flies out of his grip and clatters onto the floor, much to his and Devon's surprise as they turn to face the teacher.
"Lupin?! What are you doing-?!" Devon exclaims
Lupin says nothing and gestures his head toward the other side of the room, silently telling them to back away. Devon and Harry move back over to Ron and Hermione while the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher pointed his wand down at Sirius Black.
"Well, well, Sirius... looking rather ragged, aren't we? Finally the flesh reflects the madness within." Lupin says
"Well, you'd know all about the madness within, wouldn't you, Remus?" Sirius asks
Lupin stares down at Sirius for a few seconds, then does something that no one would ever expect of him. He lowers his wand and extends his left-hand down to Sirius, who grabs his hand happily with a smile. Rising up to his feet, Sirius and Lupin embrace each other in a hug, like they were old friends, much to the utter shock of the Keyblade Wielder and the Wizarding Trio.
"I found him!" Sirius says
"I know." Lupin says
"He's here!" Sirius says
"I understand." Lupin says
"Let's kill him!" Sirius says
Devon stared at Lupin with his eyes widened and his mouth hanging open. He could not believe what he was seeing. Sirius Black, an escaped convict was an old friend of his? He took a step forward and spread his arms out in a flabbergasted gesture.
"Lupin?! What the hell?!" Devon yells
Next, it was Hermione's turn to speak out against Lupin as she stepped up next to Devon on his left.
"No! We trusted you! And all this time y-you've been his friend! He's a Werewolf! That's why he's been missing classes." Hermione yells
Lupin turns to his right and faces Hermione as she said this. Devon, Harry, and Ron stared at the teacher in shock and surprise. All this time, Lupin was a Werewolf?
"How long have you known?" Lupin asks
"Since Professor Snape set the essay." Hermione says
"Well, well, well, Hermione. You really are the brightest witch of your age." Lupin says
"Enough talk, Remus! Come on, let's kill him!" Sirius yells
"Wait!" Lupin says holding his wand out at Sirius
"I did my waiting! 12 years of it... in Azkaban!" Sirius yells
Lupin stares at Sirius for three seconds, then glances over at Devon and his three students on his right.
"Lupin... No..." Devon says in a low voice shaking his head
Lupin sighs and gives his wand over to Sirius, who takes it in his right-hand.
"Very well. Kill him. But wait one more minute. Harry has the right to know why." Lupus says holding up his right-index finger
"I know why! You betrayed my parents! You're the reason they're dead!" Harry says
"No, Harry, it wasn't him. Somebody did betray your parents, but it was somebody who, until quite recently, I believed to be dead!" Lupin says
"Well, if it wasn't Sirius, then who was it?" Devon asks
"Peter Pettigrew! And he's in this room! Right now! Come out, come out, Peter! Come out, come out and play!" Sirius says
"Expelliarmus!" A voice chants
Now, Lupin's wand was forced out of Sirius' hand with the disarming spell coming from Snape as he arrived in the bedroom.
"Snape, now?!" Devon exclaims
"Ah! Vengeance is sweet. How I hoped I'd be the one to catch you." Snape says
"Severus, it..." Lupin says taking two steps forward
Snape points his wand right at Lupin, forcing him to stop. Lupin held up his hands and went over to Sirius' side, standing with him infront of the broken piano on his left.
"I told Dumbledore you were helping an old friend into the castle, and now here's the proof." Snape says
"Brilliant, Snape. Once again, you put your keen and penetrating mind to the task, and as usual, come to the wrong conclusion. Now, if you'll excuse us, Remus and I have some unfinished business to attend to." Sirius says walking around the side of the piano towards Snape.
The Potions Master holds his wand up to Sirius with the tip touching his throat under his bearded chin, causing him to stop.
"Give me a reason. I beg you!" Snape says
"Severus, don't be a fool." Lupin says
"He can't help it. It's habit by now." Sirius says
"Sirius, be quiet!" Lupin says
"Oh, be quiet yourself, Remus!" Sirius yells
"Oh, listen to you two, quarreling like an old married couple." Snape says
"Why don't you run along and play with your chemistry set?" Sirius says
With an angry scowl, Snape forces his wand more onto Sirius' neck and slowly advances on the ragged man while he backs away fearfully.
"I could do it, you know. But why deny the Dementors? They're so longing to see you. Do I detect a flicker of fear? Oh, yes. A Dementor's Kiss. One can only imagine what that must be like to endure. It's said to be nearly unbearable to witness, but I'll do my best." Snape says
"Severus, please!" Lupin says
While no one was looking, Harry sneaks his right-hand behind Hermione and subtly slides her wand out from her right-pocket of her jeans. Snape points to the open doorway of the bedroom.
"After you." Snape says
The Potions Master looks over at the Keyblade Wielder and the Wizarding Trio and gestures his heart towards the door. Harry slowly steps forward and points Hermione's wand at Sirius, looking as though he was ready to attack him. Then, he quickly points his wand at Snape and casts his spell.
"Expelliarmus!" Harry chants
A dazzling flash shoots out from the wand and hits Snape, blasting him off his feet and flying backwards into the bed, which collapses ontop of him, knocking him unconscious. Devon, Ron, and Hermione stared in utter shock and surprise.
"Harry?! What did you just do?!" Ron exclaims
"You attacked a teacher!" Hermione exclaims
With Snape out of the way, Harry turns back to Sirius and Lupin.
"Tell us more about Peter Pettigrew." Harry says
"He was at school with us. We thought he was our friend." Lupin says
"No. Pettigrew's dead. You killed him!" Harry says pointing his wand at Sirius
"No, he didn't! I thought so, too, until you mentioned seeing Pettigrew on the map!" Lupin says moving infront of Sirius and holding up his right-index finger
"The Map was lying, then." Harry says
"The Map never lies! Pettigrew's alive!" Sirius says
Sirius turns to Ron and pointed his right-index finger straight at him.
"And he's right there!" Sirius says
"Me?! He's mental! I..." Ron exclaims
"Not you. Your rat!" Sirius says
Ron looks down at his pet rodent, then looks back up at Sirius.
"Scabbers has been in my family for..." Ron says
"12 years?! A curiously long life for a common garden rat. He's missing a toe, isn't he?" Sirius asks advancing towards Ron and pointing his left-index finger at Scabbers' missing toe
"So what?!" Ron says
Devon and Harry both remembered back in Hogsmeade before the start of the holidays when they eavesdropped on Fudge's meeting with Professor McGonagall and Madam Rosmerta, he mentioned the only piece of Pettigrew's existence.
"All they could find of Pettigrew was his f..." Harry says
"Finger!" Sirius says
Suddenly, Devon's eyes widened and he gasped slightly as he recalled something else when he first began his adventure in the Wizarding World with Harry.
"I remember! Our first year at Hogwarts! On the Hogwarts Express!" Devon gasps
(Flashback)
Three years ago, Devon looks over the rat on Ron's lap and his eyes were drawn to one of its paws as he noticed something peculiar.
"Hey, Ron. One of Scabbers' toes is missing. Know anything about that?" Devon says pointing to the rat's foot with his right-hand
Ron looks down at Scabbers' foot and shook his head.
"Hmm. No. Scabbers has been in my family for 9 years. I don't know why he's missing a toe." Ron says
"Still, it seems a bit strange." Devon says
(Present Time)
It was in that moment that Devon realized. All this time, Pettigrew was with Ron from the beginning, disguised as his pet rat.
"So all those murders on the Muggles. It wasn't Sirius that did it. It was Pettigrew." Devon says
"Yes! After he killed those people with a Confringo Curse, the dirty coward cut off his finger so that everyone would believe he was dead. And then, he transformed into a rat." Sirius says
"Show us." Harry says
Sirius turns to Ron and grabs Scabbers with his left-hand while the red-haired teen was reluctant to hand over his pet.
"Give it to him, Ron." Harry says
"What are you trying to do to him?!" Ron asks
Eventually, Sirius wrestles the small rodent out of his owner's grip and brings him over towards the piano while Lupin kept his wand pointed at Scabbers. Ron tried to get up, but Hermione held him back by his shoulders.
"Scabbers! Leave him alone! Get off him! What are you doing?!" Ron yells
Sirius grabbed Harry's wand off the floor with his right-hand and he places Scabbers onto the piano. As soon as he did, the small rat immediately took off running. Sirius and Lupin waved their wands at the rodent to force out his true form, but they miss him several times. Scabbers jumps down from the piano, landing on a white key which plays a note, then jumps down onto the four-legged stool seat before scurrying off towards a small hole in the wall to make his escape. Finally, Sirius manages to land his spell on the rat, forcibly transforming the creature into a very short man, who crashed into the wall. This was Scabbers' true form: Peter Pettigrew.
Peter Pettigrew was a 33 year old British/Irish Half-blood wizard with a cowardly and pathetic personality that greatly characterized on weakness with the shrunken appearance of a plump man who was hardly taller than Devon, Harry, and Hermione. He had thin, colorless, unkempt hair with a large bald patch on top, skin that looked grubby, almost like Scabbers' fur, and several rat-like traits, such as his pointed nose, his two buck teeth on his upper jaw, and his watery grey eyes. On his left-hand, he was missing his ring finger, which he had cut off 12 years ago to fake his death. Pettigrew also fidgeted in place, grunted, snorted, and sniffed repeatedly, which was more than likely an extension of his cowardly behavior. He wore a filthy grey suit with a red shirt and white vest underneath, matching pants, and black shoes.
Devon, Harry, Ron, and Hermione stared in complete shock and surprise as they saw what just happened. With the traitor now exposed, Sirius and Lupin grab Pettigrew and pull him up to his feet, then push him back and point their wands at him. Pettigrew snorted and looks upon the two men with a pretending look of innocence.
"Remus? Is-is this Sirius? My old friends!" Pettigrew says
Pettigrew tried to make a run for it, but Sirius and Lupin both pushed him back. The pathetic man looks around, then sets his gaze on Harry and Devon on his left and walks toward them.
"Oh! Oh, Devon, look at you. So strong, and noble, and bold. And Harry, look at you. You look so much like your father, like James. We were the best of friends, he and I..." Pettigrew says
Before Pettigrew could move any closer to the boys, Sirius quickly moves infront of them.
"How dare you speak to Devon and Harry!" Sirius yells
Pettigrew let out a guttural grunt as he looked at Sirius and moved away, quickly retreating behind the broken piano and cowering behind it while Sirius stood on the left-side of the piano and Lupin on the right, pointing their wands at their former friend.
"How dare you talk about James infront of him!" Sirius yells
"You sold James and Lily to Voldemort and Teridax, didn't you?!" Lupin asks
"I didn't mean to! The Dark Lords, you have no idea the weapons they possess! And Teridax, especially him! The power he possesses! His influence stretches far! His shadow lies everywhere! Nothing escapes his gaze! The Dark Lord, Teridax... H-h-he is truly evil! A ruthless monster! You don't know the things that he is capable of!" Pettigrew whimpers
Pettigrew looks over at Sirius on his right and points his right-index finger at him.
"Ask yourself, Sirius! What would you have done? What would you have done?" Pettigrew says
"I would have died! I would have died rather than betray my friends to those evil tyrants!" Sirius yells
The cowardly man crawls underneath the piano and makes another run for the stairs, but Devon and Harry stand infront of the open doorway, blocking his path. Pettigrew holds Harry by his shoulders and speaks into his right-ear as he pleaded for life.
"Harry, James wouldn't have wanted me killed! Your dad... He would have spared me! He would have shown me mercy!" Pettigrew says
Sirius and Lupin both grab Pettigrew by his arms to pull him away, but he escapes from their grip, causing the two men to stumble backwards a bit. Then, Pettigrew got down on his knees and grabs hold of Devon's right-arm, begging him for mercy.
"Devon! Devon, please! You're a Keyblade Wielder! You protect the helpless! Defend the weak! Please! I beg you! Don't let them hurt me!" Pettigrew whimpers
Sirius and Lupin grab Pettigrew again and pull him away from Devon, freeing the grip he had on the teen's arm. He screamed and was shoved towards the piano. Sirius and Lupin pointed their wands at Pettigrew, who curled up and whimpered as they prepared to finish him.
"You should have realized, Peter, that if Voldemort or Teridax didn't kill you, then we would, together." Sirius says
Before Sirius or Lupin could do anything to Pettigrew, Devon and Harry spoke up.
"No!" Harry says
"Stop!" Devon says
Sirius and Lupin both looked back over their shoulders at Devon and Harry, keeping their wands pointed at Pettigrew.
"Boys, this man is..." Lupin says
"We know what he is. But we'll take him to the castle." Harry says
"Harry's right. Pettigrew may be a coward, but he's the only one that knows the truth." Devon says
Devon steps forward and stood between Sirius and Lupin and looks over at the the ragged man on his left.
"Sirius, you've spent the past 12 years locked up in Azkaban Prison for Pettigrew's crimes. Do you really think killing him for revenge will solve anything? Would Lily and James have wanted this?" Devon says
Sirius looks over at Devon on his right, then looks at the whimpering Pettigrew infront of him.
"Now think, you still have a choice. There's still a chance to clear your name and prove your innocence. But you kill him, you'll be throwing away that chance for freedom out the window. Dead or alive. Which would you prefer?" Devon says
The ragged man nods his head in agreement and he lowers his wand. Lupin looks at Devon, who nods his head to him, and he followed his friend's example, lowering his wand as well. Harry walks over to Devon's side and stands alongside him on his right as they all turn their attention to Pettigrew, who smiled and got down on his knees, feeling grateful to the Keyblade Wielder and wizard boy.
"Oh, bless you, boys. Bless you!" Pettigrew says
Pettigrew was about to grovel at Devon's feet, but the young teen holds his crystal Keyblade up to the pathetic man, the tip just inches away from his throat. Pettigrew whimpers and looks up at Devon, who had a serious expression on his face.
"Not so fast, Pettigrew. Don't think you're getting off that easily." Devon says
"I said we'd take you to the castle." Harry says
"But first, you are going to confess how you aided and abetted to the murders of Lily and James Potter and the twelve Muggles you killed." Devon says
"After that, the Dementors can have you." Harry says
Pettigrew brought his nine fingers up to his mouth and whimpered as he bit down on his fingernails fearfully.
Now having cleared everything up, the group began making their way out of the Shrieking Shack through the underground tunnel. Devon held up his crystal Keyblade in his right-hand, using its glowing light to brighten up the tunnel while Harry, Sirius, and Hermione trailed behind him. Harry and Sirius carried Ron by his arms over their shoulders with Harry on the left and Sirius on the right. Hermione followed behind them. And behind her, Lupin watched over Pettigrew, holding him at wand point behind his back.
"Sorry about the bite. I reckon that twinges a bit." Sirius apologizes
"A bit? A bit?! You almost tore my leg off!" Ron says
"Now, I was going for the rat. Normally, I have a very sweet disposition as a dog. In fact, more than once, James suggested that I make the change permanent. The tail I could live with, but the fleas... they're murder." Sirius says
Outside the tunnel, Alura LightHeart and her sisters anxiously awaited the return of their human friends near the Whomping Willow, which had now been calmed and immobilized. They soon saw Devon as he emerged out of the dark hole, de-summoning Soul Calibur from his hand.
"Devon! Is everything alright?" Alura asks
"Oh, yeah. Everything's fine, Alura. We're fine." Devon says
Devon turns around as Harry and Sirius come up from the hole, carrying Ron and setting him down gently on the ground to the right.
"Except for Ron's leg." Devon says
Sirius steps away as Harry and Hermione kneeled down and tended to Ron's injury and the Unicorn Sisters gaze down at him with smiles on their faces.
"Sirius Black." Stella says
"Hello, girls. It's been a long time." Sirius says smiling
"It most certainly has." Alura says
Sirius walks up to Alura and strokes her mane with his right-hand.
"Alura... Still lovely as always, like your mother." Sirius says
"Thanks." Alura giggles
Sirius looks over at the other Unicorns and they nod their heads at him while he nods back. Then, he turns and walks away a little ways down the hill on his left, gazing up at Hogwarts Castle in the distance.
"So, I guess this means you know Sirius, right?" Devon asks
"Oh, yes, Devon. We know him well. He's a very kind and friendly wizard, not the ruthless murderer that everyone thinks he is." Stella says
"Well, proving that to the whole Wizarding World is gonna be quite the challenge." Devon says
"So, you found Peter Pettigrew, that rotten traitor?" Valoria asks
"Yeah. Lupin's bringing him along." Devon says
Devon glances over at Sirius as he stood by himself further away from the others, and he could tell that he was glad to see the magic school. Wanting to know him more, Devon decides to go and join him, but not before looking back at the seven unicorns.
"Would you girls mind helping Ron with his leg?" Devon asks
"Of course." Evelyn says
"We'll also help Lupin deal with Pettigrew." Valoria says
Alura, Stella, and Valoria went over to the hole to wait for Lupin and Pettigrew and Evelyn, Brianna, Leila, and Silvia trotted over to Harry and Hermione to help them with Ron's leg while Devon proceeded to join Sirius down the hill, standing alongside him on his left as they took in the majestic view of the castle.
"So, 12 years in Azkaban, huh? I can't imagine it must've been easy." Devon says
"No, it wasn't." Sirius says
"So, how did you survive?" Devon asks
"Well, I was placed in solitary confinement in Azkaban at the mercy of the Dementors. I don't know how I did it. I think the only reason I never lost my mind was because I knew I was innocent. It was more of an obsession than a happy thought, so the Dementors couldn't suck it out of me... but it kept me sane knowing who I am... helped keep my powers. Whenever it became too much, I could transform in my cell... become a dog." Sirius says
"And how did you escape?" Devon asks
"I took to my Animagus form as a dog and slipped my way through the bars of my cell and past the Dementors. Then, I swam across the North Sea and made it back to the mainland." Sirius says
Devon was impressed. Not only was Sirius Black had survived living 12 years of his life in a secured island prison infested with soul-sucking Dementors, but he had managed to maintain a grip on his sanity, unlike the other prisoners who went insane.
"Wow... That's crazy." Devon says
"True." Sirius says nodding his head
The ragged man turns and faces Devon.
"But not as crazy as the things I've heard about you, Devon. I've read what you and Harry have done for Hogwarts in the Daily Prophet. You both confronted Voldemort in the underground chambers and saved the school from the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets. And as far as I can see, you and Harry must be great friends." Sirius says
"More than you can imagine. Me and Harry, we share a lot in common." Devon says
"I've heard tales of the Keyblade and its wielders during my time as a student in Hogwarts and I've always found myself deeply inspired by their heroic deeds. What they stood for. Justice... Honor... Righteousness... And now, here I am meeting one who's saved Hogwarts twice and is a friend of my godson. I only wish the circumstances were different." Sirius says
"Yeah. And less tense. The introductions could've been better." Devon says
Devon and Sirius both chuckle, then Sirius extends his right-hand out to Devon, offering him a handshake.
"It's a real pleasure to meet you, Devon." Sirius says
Devon looks down at Sirius' hand, then looks up at him with a smile of his own, taking hold of his hand and shaking it.
"And it's a pleasure to meet Harry Potter's godfather." Devon says
Harry looked over at Devon and Sirius from where he was and watched as they shook hands. He was glad to see them getting along.
"You better go." Ron says
"No. No. Don't worry, okay? It's fine. I'll stay." Harry says
"You go, I'll stay." Hermione says
Harry nods his head and he rises up to his feet, leaving Ron and Hermione with Evelyn, Brianna, Leila, and Silvia.
"Ow. That looks really painful." Hermione says
"So painful... they, uh, they might chop it." Ron says
"I'm sure Madam Pomfrey will fix it in a heartbeat." Hermione says
"It's too late. It's ruined. It'll have to be chopped off." Ron says
Harry walks over to Devon and Sirius and he stood next to the ragged man on his left as they gazed up at the majestic castle.
"It's beautiful, isn't it? I'll never forget the first time I walked through those doors. It'll be nice to do it again as a free man. That was a noble thing you boys did back there. He doesn't deserve it." Sirius says
"Well, I just didn't think my dad would have wanted his two best friends to become killers. Besides, it's just like Devon said, Dead, the truth dies with him. Alive, you're free." Harry says
Soon, the group heard Pettigrew's whimpering as Lupin dragged him out of the hole.
"Turn me into a maggot! Dung beetle, Flobberworm! Anything but the Dementors!" Pettigrew says
"Shh!" Lupin says
Pettigrew looks over at Ron on his left and places his left-hand on his right-shoulder, begging him for his help.
"Ron, ha-haven't I been a good friend, a good pet? You won't let them give me to the Dementors, will you? I was your rat!" Pettigrew says
Then, the cowardly man looks over at Hermione on his right.
"Oh, sweet girl! Clever girl! Surely you won't let them..." Pettigrew says
Before he could touch her with his grubby hands, Lupin grabs Pettigrew by his right-arm and pulls him away from Hermione.
"Get away from her!" Lupin says
Lupin drags Pettigrew over to the right-side of the hill and holding him at wand point. Alura, Stella, and Valoria stood nearby, helping the professor watch over him.
"All right. Please, please! No! No! I'm weak. I couldn't help it." Pettigrew says
Devon, Harry, and Sirius turn away and glance back up at Hogwarts Castle and the Keyblade Wielder pats the ragged man in the back with his left-hand.
"Don't worry, Sirius. We'll make you a free man, yet. You know what they say: Justice triumphs in the end." Devon says
Sirius looks over at Devon and nods his head in agreement before leaning over towards Harry on his left.
"I don't know if you know, Harry, but when you were born... James and Lily made me your godfather." Sirius says
"I know." Harry says
"And... well, I can understand if you choose to stay with your aunt and uncle... but if you ever wanted a different home..." Sirius says
"What? Come and live with you?" Harry asks looking right at Sirius
"Well, well, it was... It's-it's just a thought. I can understand if you don't want to." Sirius says
While everyone was busy with their own tasks, Hermione turned around and noticed something behind her. Her eyes widened with shock and she gasped. Then, she called out to the Keyblade Wielder and wizard boy.
"Harry! Devon!" Hermione exclaims
Devon, Harry, and Sirius turn around to their right and look over towards Hermione, who points her right-hand at the dark mountain in the far distance on the other side of the Black Lake. Everyone gazes out at the full moon, which appeared from behind the distant mountain on the left-side and the night clouds. Its bright light bathed down on the hill. As the moonlight hit him, Lupin could hear the rapid paces of his loud heartbeat and his eyes dilated and turned green as he underwent a painful transformation. Devon and Harry ran back over to Ron and Hermione while Sirius rushed over to Lupin.
"Remus, my old friend, have you taken your potion tonight?" Sirius asks
Alura, Stella, and Valoria backed away from Lupin and rejoined the rest of their sisters while Sirius grabs hold of his friend and tries to help him remember who he was.
"You know the man you truly are, Remus! This heart is where you truly live! This heart, here!" Sirius says placing his right-hand on Lupin's chest
Lupin groaned with agonizing pain as his werewolf transformation slowly took hold over him.
"This flesh is only flesh!" Sirius says
Lupin dropped his wand on the ground and Pettigrew saw his chance to escape. Taking advantage of the chaos, he bends down, grabbed the wand with his right-hand and pointed it at himself. But before he could do anything, Harry points his wand at Pettigrew and quickly disarms him.
"Expelliarmus!" Harry chants
The wand flies out of Pettigrew's hand and he turns to Devon, Harry, and the others on his left. Pettigrew was hardly bothered by this and he gives them a cruel smile and sarcastically waves good-bye before transforming into his rat form, leaving behind his clothes. The small rat scurries out of the grey suit and makes his escape, descending down the hill. Harry tried to stop Pettigrew, but Hermione grabs his right-arm, stopping him.
"Harry!" Hermione exclaims
The group turned back towards Lupin as his body started to physically and painfully transform.
"Remus! Remus!" Sirius exclaims
Lupin's nails sharpened into black-tipped points and his teeth grew sharp. Lupin let out an agonized howl as the back of his suit ripped and split open to reveal his spine. His shoulders hunched. And his arms and legs lengthened as he grew taller. Every bone in Lupin's body cracked. Fearing what might happen to Devon, Harry, and their friends, Sirius looks over at the group on his left and tells everyone to save themselves.
"Run! Run!" Sirius yells
Sirius looks back at Lupin as he entered the final phase of his transformation. All his clothes fell off as Lupin's body grew taller. His head lengthened, his ears grew pointed, his face extended into a snout, and his voice deepened into a growling roar. The now Werewolf Lupin let out a low groan as he shook his head, then thrust his body outward with a loud roar. His left-arm swings into Sirius and sends him flying off the side of the hill.
In his Werewolf form, Lupin now had a gaunt, humanoid, and hairless appearance with a coyote-like face and no tail, yet there were still little bits of hair to be seen along his head and back.
Lupin curls up and whined from the extremely painful transformation, standing on his hind legs. Devon stared with a face full of shock and horror. This was the first time he had ever encountered an actual Werewolf. Yet even though he was now a monstrous creature, Devon believed that a part of Lupin was still inside somewhere.
"Come on!" Harry says
"Hang on! There's still a chance that Lupin is inside somewhere." Devon says
"Devon's right. We won't know unless we try." Hermione says
While Harry, Ron, Hermione, and the seven Unicorns stayed back, Devon slowly stepped forward towards Lupin. The Keyblade Wielder knew that Werewolves were savage, deadly, bloodthirsty creatures with their superior strength and fast speed. One wrong move may just cost him his life. But given his own strength and speed, not to mention his strong magic and abilities, he should be more than a match for the Werewolf.
"Professor?" Devon says
The Werewolf looks up at Devon, whining in pain.
"Professor Lupin? It's me. It's me, Devon." Devon says
Lupin continued to stare at the Keyblade Wielder with his green eyes until he raised his head to the moon and let out a loud howl that lasted for a good long six seconds.
"Awoooooooooooo!" Lupin howls
Then, the Werewolf got down on all fours and started to growl menacingly, which made Devon back away toward his friends.
"Nice doggie. Nice doggie." Ron whimpers
While Lupin continued to approach the group, Snape, who had finally regained consciousness from Harry's Disarming spell, emerged from the hole leading to the Shrieking Shack and grabs Harry by his shirt to make him pay for attacking him, unaware of the current danger.
"There you are, Potter!" Snape says
"Severus!" Alura screams
Lupin turns his gaze to Snape and growls, causing the Potions Master to turn around. Seeing the monstrous creature, he immediately stands infront of the Wizarding Trio to protect them as it approaches them. The Werewolf raises his right-hand to strike Snape with his claws, but Devon quickly jumps infront of him and raises his right-hand, summoning Soul Calibur in a flash of blue light and casts a Reflega spell, generating a protective barrier which shields him from the sharp claws as they cut across with a loud scraping noise. Lupin roars angrily and goes to strike Devon again with his claws raising his left-hand, but Sirius, in his dog form, jumps in and saves him, tackling into the monstrous creature from the left, causing them both to roll over one another down the side of the hill. Lupin throws Sirius off his body, who falls on his right-side with a whimpering bark. The black dog rises back onto his feet and moves infront of Devon and the others, growling and bearing his sharp teeth, while the Werewolf stood across from him, snarling and growling himself. Soon, the two beasts charged and clashed, viciously tearing each other apart through tooth and claw. Eventually, the humanoid creature throws the shaggy dog away behind him, who falls onto the ground with another whimpering bark. Lupin goes back to attack Devon and the others again, but Sirius quickly got back up and bit down on his left-arm. The monstrous Werewolf turns and swipes his claws at the dog, only to miss, then chases it around the right-side of the hill, running on all fours.
"Sirius!" Harry exclaims
Devon and Harry run after the Werewolf and black dog while Snape, Ron, Hermione, and the seven unicorns stayed put by the Whomping Willow.
"Come back here, Potter!" Snape yells
Running around the side of the hill, the Keyblade Wielder and wizard boy skid to stop and watched as Lupin held up a whimpering Sirius with both hands, who flailed all four of his legs around to escape his grasp, and soon threw the black dog against a large rock. Sirius collapses onto the ground, whining in pain while Lupin approached to finish him, raising his right-hand to strike.
"No!" Devon yells
Devon hurls Soul Calibur at Lupin and the crystal Keyblade strikes him in the back of the head, causing him to yelp in pain. The monstrous creature turns around to his left and lets out an angry roar at the Keyblade Wielder. Soul Calibur returns to Devon's grip in a flash of light and he holds his weapon with both hands infront of him as he faced the Werewolf.
"Come on, Lupin! Don't make me do this!" Devon says
Now turning his attention to the two boys, Lupin charges toward them and raises his right-hand to strike them with his claw when a strange sound echoes in the night.
"Awooooo!" A female voice howls
Devon and Harry glances off to the right and Lupin to his left with a low whine as they heard the strange howls further down the hill. It sounded like another Werewolf, a female. But to Devon and Harry, it felt familiar somehow. Then, another howl sounds off in the air.
"Awoooooooo!" The female voice howls
Curious to investigate, Lupin runs off on all fours, heading down the hill towards the Forbidden Forest. Devon and Harry watched him go, then turned back to the black dog as he whined and yelped. Sirius was badly injured with claw marks on his body. He stumbled forward in the foliage and returned to his human form as he rose up, but then he fell again and tumbled down the hill.
"Oh, no..." Devon gasps
Worried for Sirius, Devon and Harry run and toward where the ragged man fell and went down the hill to find him towards the Forbidden Forest.
Now in the Forbidden Forest, Devon and Harry weave around past the tall thick trees, panting as they searched for Sirius. Looking down, they found him lying flat on his stomach on the pebbly shore of a lake.
"There he is!" Devon exclaims
The two boys rush over to the wounded man and kneel down to him.
"Sirius!" Harry exclaims
Devon and Harry roll Sirius over right onto his back and saw that his eyes were closed and his mouth hanging open.
"No! Sirius!" Harry exclaims
As he stared down at his godfather, Harry remembered something. Devon had the Power of Healing. If there was anyone he trusted to help Sirius, it was him. Looking over at the Keyblade Wielder on his right, the wizard boy begged his best friend to use his magic.
"Devon! Your healing powers! You've got to help him!" Harry says
"Right! Hold on! I'll just-" Devon says nodding his head
Before Devon could begin, he and Harry noticed a sudden change in the air. Everything grew cold. The two boys looked up toward the lake and watched as it began to freeze up with ice slowly crackling along the waters until it is completely frozen solid, closing up with an echoing thud. Ice and cold could only mean one thing: Dementors! Then, Sirius eyes slowly open and he looks up in terror, gasping with fear. The two boys followed his gaze and they, too, looked up in horror. Gliding high above them were dozens, perhaps hundreds of Dementors, circling in the air like vultures. One of the hooded creatures soon flies down and hovers over the weakened Sirius Black, sucking the life out of him with its rattling breath for at least eight seconds while he gurgled, gasped, and groaned. Devon and Harry stared and watched in horror.
"No! He's innocent! Leave him alone!" Devon yells
The Dementor soon flies off to rejoin the others.
"Harry! The Patronus Charm!" Devon yells
Harry nods his head and takes out his wand while Devon summoned Soul Calibur in its Crystal Wand form in his right-hand. Rising up to their feet, the two boys held up their wands to the sky and shouted the incantation to defend themselves and Sirius.
"Expecto Patronum!" Devon and Harry chant in unison
Both their wands cast a bright, incorporeal vapor shield of blue-silver light, but the soul-sucking fiends would not be deterred from capturing their prisoner. Four Dementors fly down and smash into the shield, then fly off. The shield didn't stay up for long as the boys had not enough experience with the Patronus Charm, barely keeping it alive, and the light faded away. Then, a Dementor flew up to Harry and sucked on his soul for five seconds before gliding away.
"Aaaaaaaaaaah!" Harry screams
Harry fell down onto his knees and all fours, doubling over Sirius' body while Devon stared in shock.
"Harry!" Devon exclaims
Before Devon could do anything to help, another Dementor flew up to him and proceeded to suck the life out of him with its breath for six seconds.
"Gaah! Aaaaah!" Devon groans
Like Harry, Devon fell down on all fours, feeling weak. His crystal wand dropped from his grip onto the rocky shore and vanished in a flash of light. Another Dementor flew up to Sirius and sucked even more of his soul out of him, causing him to seize up with gurgling gasps. Panting for breath, Devon and Harry looked up and they saw two more Dementors flying toward them from across the frozen lake. The hooded creatures proceeded to drain more of their souls while they groaned and gasped. Four more joined in on the attack, two for the Keyblade Wielder and two for the wizard boy, their souls divided by two as the Dementors consumed twice as much, while another continued feeding on Sirius. Eventually, the man gave out a labored gasp and he stopped moving, appearing almost lifeless. Then, a small, glowing, white-blue dot appears rising up out of Sirius' open mouth. It was his soul. The Dementors had sucked so much out of him that his soul had been extracted from his body and now they were ready to claim and possibly trap it inside their hideous bodies, or worse... destroy it.
"Sirius...?" Harry says weakly
Devon and Harry panted heavily, feeling extremely cold, weak, and drained. They were completely overwhelmed by the sheer number of Dementors. They never stood a chance. Having almost been completely drained of their souls, it felt like this was the end. Devon would never finish his Mark of Mastery Exam, all life in the Universe would be doomed to suffer at the hands of Teridax and his dark empire, and both he and Harry would more than likely suffer the same, horrible, lifeless fate as Sirius. A fate that was even worse than death. But more importantly, the Keyblade Wielder would never see his friends or his beloved Night Fury, Luna, ever again.
But then, just when all hope seemed lost and the Dementors were about to claim Sirius' soul and Kiss Devon and Harry, the boys raised their heads a few inches and they noticed something standing on the opposite bank of the frozen lake. Eyes blurring with sweat, the boys tried to make out what they were. They were two silver-blue, translucent animals, a stag and a large, 18ft tall, four-legged dragon on its left that had two spiked horns on the top of its head and a vert, stream-lined tail with a single point at the end, both of which stood proudly, dazzling as bright as a unicorn with an eerie twinkling sound. The two animals soon shined even brighter, emitting a blinding light and sending six massive, powerful waves of light far and wide across the entire area, which resonated with a deep, whirring sound. All the hundreds of the Dementors flew away, shrieking and screeching with their distorted voices while Devon and Harry watched in amazement. Then, they glanced down at Sirius as his soul floated back down into his mouth. As soon as his soul was returned to his body, Sirius gasped loudly, inhaling a huge amount of air and panting heavily before passing out again.
Fighting to stay conscious, Devon and Harry looked across the lake on the opposite shore as the light and the translucent stag and dragon faded away. For a moment, they saw two people who looked strangely familiar, but it couldn't be, could it? Their vision blurred and blackened as they were unable to remain awake any longer. Soon, Harry fell over on his left-side, then Devon fell backwards onto his back, both letting out a sigh as they passed out alongside Sirius. All three of them lying next to one another in the darkness of the night.
Author's Note: Happy Easter, everyone! Big chapter right here! Sirius Black is revealed to be innocent. Peter Pettigrew is exposed the traitor. Lupin is revealed to be a Werewolf! And hundreds of Dementors come to steal Devon, Harry, and Sirius' souls. Luckily for them, two mysterious figures cast a powerful Patronus Charm and drives off the soul-sucking fiends. But who are they? Up next, we travel back time with a Time-Turner and follow Devon, Harry, and Hermione as they embark on a mission to save Buckbeak and Sirius Black. Only two chapters left till Devon finishes his third adventure in the Wizarding World. Bet you guys can't wait! To anonymous(guest): First, I accept your apology. Second, for your Gigandrake, I've always felt it was better suited as a Heartless, rather than an Unversed, same thing for the Obisidoraptors. Third, Tentacruels? I'm not too fond of that idea. It's too similar in ways to Pokémon. And fourth, for you Dream Eater, which I am calling Shadowdrake, there's a very good chance that I'll use it for a boss in the sleeping world of Shrek: Kingdom of Fairytales. What do you think? Sounds good? Let me know what you guys think. No flames please. Hope you guys like and don't forget to review!
