[Present time, Konoha]
Death and destruction littered the land that was once named indestructible land. Everything was quiet as the night fell. No lights, sounds, or any sign of life was present on the island and ocean. Only the partying Backup ships of the Alvarez empire were seen approaching from afar!
On the island the only sound heard was from the palace as sniffling and the pained screams of two ever-lively children were heard.
In the palace of Konoha or rather the ruins of the place that was once Konoha's palace, Naruto shakily with moist eyes and a heart full of sadness, played the now deceased Mikoto's body on the ground below and held Seliah's hand with great worry, fear, pain, panic, and many more expressions.
Behind them Kushina and Aries were watching with dread as slowly Seliah began to fade away starting from her feet as small shining purple sparkles-like orbs flew from her body towards the book which now had her complete name.
He then noticed the ring in his hands that was sparkling violet color and The Uchiha crest of a white and red fan shined from within the pearl-like lacrima.
He looked towards Kushina and Aries, "K-Kaa-chan can't we stop what is going on with Seliah-chan?"
He asked with a timid and low tone already knowing the answer just from looking at his mother. Kushina shook her head in denial and looked down at the ground with shame.
"No Sochi-kun, We have to unseal Seliah-chan from that book once she is sealed inside that book. It is a blank etherious book, so the means to unlock the seal are still unknown but it will require some power to fill the locking system it has!!" Kushina said observing and studying the book's seal which appeared to require a certain amount of power to open the book.
"I-I see..." Naruto then turned towards Seliah and wrapped his arms around her in a protective manner, "...Don't worry I will find a way to unseal you, It's a promise of a lifetime!!!"
He finished with a hard and determined expression that spoke volumes of what he was planning to do. He wasn't about to let his only friend be taken away from him forever!
Seliah hearing this tightened their embrace and nodded her head shakily. She still hadn't recovered from her mother and brother's death. She only had him remaining in this world and for the first time, she felt lonely in her life.
Naruto then took her hands in his hand and squeezed them. He showed her the ring, " This ring is your tou-chan's gift for you, I'll keep it safe for you till you come out of that book, alright!!"
Seliah nodded again still sniffling and half her body was already sealed inside the book and she further tightened her grip over him. She looked at Kushina and she too joined them in their hug.
"Seliah-chan please smile for me, it is the last time I'm going to see you for a long time. I wish to remember your smile, it will pain me if you were still crying when I see you go!!" Kushina told her with a pained expression but a motherly tone that soothed Seliah very much after her own mother's death.
Seliah smiled sadly but with some brightness nonetheless as Naruto, Aries and Kushina watched her body fade away only her head was remaining.
Seliah suddenly leaned forward and kissed Naruto on his cheek and tilted her head to the side with the same smile, " I'll be waiting for you, my prince!!"
She muttered the last part to herself and faded away inside the book. The book suddenly had eight trigrams seal on its cover and on top of it Seliah's name was etched.
[With August]
August observed the island for some time before he sensed life on the island still present at the palace. He didn't want to take any chances now, his majesty had made it clear that it was important for every person on that island to die.
Being the loyal servant he was, he planned an attack that even a whole country couldn't survive let alone some remnants of normal mages who had gone through war and were most likely very tired to even defend themselves.
He brought his staff upwards and concentrated a large amount of magical power. This attack needed a lot of power but what could he complain about after all it was an attack of the heavens themselves.
He gestured the staff towards the island but nothing changed for a long amount of time. But soon rumbling was heard from the sky above.
Every Alvarez soldier from the backup squad had their breaths caught in their lungs as an unbelievable sight greeted them. They couldn't believe what they were seeing. It was as if the god himself was incurring his wrath over the indestructible land!
[ In the palace]
On the island, everything was silent for a moment before Kushina took the etherious book and sealed it inside a scroll.
She started collecting Kusanagi and Ascalon; sheathed them with respect before gesturing for Aries to follow her silently inside the basement.
Naruto was silent with red puffy eyes from crying but calmed himself down and started walking out of the palace to see his wrecked home. He didn't particularly like it as everyone scorned and disliked him here, but it was still his home.
He was useless during this fight. He always acted like an adult because he was stronger than most but that was all useless. He felt like the most helpless person when the situation called for it. His kaa-chan told him the truth, he wasn't ready. He was tasked to protect Seliah but he failed at that too. He was a massive failure!!
He was cut off from his musings when Kushina came out with all the scrolls having important stuff for traveling towards the outside land. She knelt at his eye level and turned him towards her and examined him for any injuries.
She then turned to Aries who had a solemn look on her face and spoke, "Aries I presume, Minato-kun has released your contract"
Aries nodded, " Yes! master wished for me to deliver this scroll to Naruto-sama and ensure your safety the best I could"
Kushina hugged Aries, " I will miss you, Aries, you've been a great friend to Naruto since his childhood. He needed friends that we couldn't provide to sate his loneliness but because of you that problem was solved!"
Aries also began to cry and gestured for Naruto to join their hug," I'll miss you both too, perhaps you can have my key"
Naruto shook his head at that, " No we can't Aries, we are not celestial spirit mages and you can help the world more if you work with them"
Kushina also agreed," Yes Aries, you can go now. We will leave this land and I hope to see you again someday!"
Aries also nodded and wiped her tears away," Thank you Naruto-sama, Kushina-sama, I hope to see you soon too. You've been very kind to me although you are my Master's family"
Kushina and Naruto smiled sadly and waved a final goodbye. After that Aries was enveloped in bright golden light and her key disappeared and was summoned somewhere else in the world. They just wished that she will have a kind master just like Minato and has a happy life ahead...
Kushina again turned towards Naruto and took out the ring with the Namikaze clan symbol shining inside of it. She had him wear it on his left hand's index finger.
"Sochi-kun, this is your father and mine best gift you'll have. With this, we will always be there with you no matter where you are." Kushina told him softly and kissed his forehead.
Naruto sniffled again but couldn't cry. All the tears were gone due to his non-stop crying today. This day was the worst in his life! ," K-Kaa-chan let's go to tou-chan's..."
He couldn't finish as Kushina again hugged him tightly easing her pain a bit with his help," We couldn't Sochi-kun, the enemy could be heading here. I know it hurts but we must live on for the deceased one so they can live on in our hearts and memories. We should never give up and fight until the end. And... I promise I'll never leave you till the end"
Naruto nodded his head shakily and prepared to leave the island along with his hiraishin to speed up their travel through the ocean toward the Ishgar continent.
But fate had other plans, a sudden rumbling resounded through the skies above as a distinct roar like the god himself was casting his judgment on them and a Giant meteor the size of their Island itself was approaching them.
Naruto without wasting a second used all his strength to throw his tri-pronged kunai and used his hiraishin to continuously teleport away from the meteor as fast as possible.
But it was futile as the acceleration of the meteor increased as it neared the land. The skies turned crimson red and the heat began to increase all around them.
They had to change directions too because there were at least 10 large warships of the Alvarez empire's backup squad waiting to interrupt any survivors. His mother was too weak from fighting and he would have to release at least six of the 12 layered seals to defeat such a big army.
It would be really painful and he wouldn't be able to use any magic for at least a day. In between the ocean, there was no way he would survive that but also there was a magic signature even larger than his tou-chan somewhere above them.
The supernova-like crimson meteor crashed into the land and an explosion powerful enough to rock the foundation of the land itself and a quake with tremors that were felt at the Ishgar continent itself; incinerated everything around him.
He made his decision in the split second, without her noticing he used a blunt Wind all slayers:Cannon wave on his kaa-chan with as much power as he could muster. He was lucky the situation was intense otherwise his kaa-chan would've thrashed him to the ground for trying something like that.
But the glare she gave him which was full of worry, fear, and rage for his decision made him shiver in fear as she rocketed away from the island but, the fast-spreading blast radius was way too big for both of them to escape.
Just as the explosion was going to devour Naruto his eyes and magical energy flared up. Images and words of all the people he cared about appeared inside his mind.
"...I will be waiting for you!"
"...make us proud Naruto. When you are outside this island show the world what a Konoha mage could do"
"... Surpass me! Otouoto. Just like a student of mine would do!"
"...Take Care of yourself when you go out. Your obaa-san will be waiting for your return!"
"... Everyone lives their life with their interpretations of reality. But whatever you do, don't lose yourself in hardships Naruto. You can rest in the shadow for all you like but never leave the path of light!"
"...Be happy in your life Sochi-kun. Your kaa-chan will always be looking after you no matter where you are!"
As Seliah, Fugaku, Sasuke, Mikoto, Minato, and Kushina's words were heard, his eyes sparkled with glowing intensity and suddenly words that he never had thought about coming out of his mouth...
"Kamui"
His body became intangible and the blast didn't affect him at all. But it was an absolute curse because he had to hear the agonizing pained screams of his mother as she too was consumed by the flames and wailed over the thought of his death.
But she wasn't lucky and her lifeless body being incinerated from reality was etched into his being. Never forget such a horrible event. The sight made him scream to himself.
"NO KAA-CHAN YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME ALONE!! PLEASE STAY WITH ME. I NEED YOU..kaa-chan...ka...ka..kaa-cha..."
His voice was soon dwarfed by the booming of the explosion which was heard even at Ishgar as large waves were generated that crashed into the ships nearby.
But what came next was a storm that no one lived to tell about...
[with August]
August watched as two magic signatures instantly disappeared as his attack crashed with the island and prepared to teleport away but never noticed the killing intent that was leaking out of the ocean.
"I will take a leave now, it seems that a storm is on the way...At least the prophecy child is dead!"
He turned away and instantly his body disappeared from view and headed toward the Alvarez Empire.
[At the explosion site]
Everybody on the warship was relieved that the explosion was over and they were still alive. They would never want to be in their enemies' shoes!! Although they deserved it. Who would want to war with the Alvarez Empire and hope to survive?
Naruto fell into the water and gave out as the shining moon lit a silver glow inside the water. He didn't want to live. Everything was over, Everyone was gone and now he was all alone with no purpose but a senseless being.
The time progressed slowly as his magic signature diminished slowly and the corner of his consciousness was invaded with the sweet darkness of eternal sleep.
But then he heard her voice whispering to him almost like pleading...
"...we must live on for the deceased one so they can live on in our hearts and memories. We should never give up and fight until the end..."
His eyes shot open and he saw the silhouette of an old man with hair straight jutted out of his head disappear from view.
His insides began burning and his mind raced with rage as he released all of his 12 layered seals on his body. The magical energy that flowed through him was so thick and large that his small body couldn't hold it but he forced it to and slowly resurfaced.
The people on the warships all suddenly collapsed as a heavy and nauseating pressure washed through the area. The wind began to pick up, and lightning danced dangerously around with the water, as it began to violently rotate around a specific area.
As they focused on that particular area they could make out a small silhouette emerging from the water. Suddenly that silhouette disappeared and a boy around six years old appeared out of nowhere and raised his drenched head towards them with calm and cold red shining diamond-like eyes.
Suddenly the world around them became red. The lightning became black with red outlines shining ominously, the water became silver with a dangerous glow inside and the wind around them became all golden. All of this seemed to affect even the time and space around them.
Seeing the boy looking at them, they couldn't help but feel like the shinigami was waiting for just an inch away from them, ready to take their life any moment. All of them despite their age, number, and battle experience couldn't help but feel like insects in front of him.
His power was so immense that it could be felt to Ishgar from here. But for them, it was so suffocating that it was hard to even breathe. Nevertheless, some mages reached the weapons attached to their ships and readied their attack on him still crawling on the ground.
Around fifty Jupiter cannon blasts were shot at him but he didn't even bat an eye toward it. They all passed through him like he wasn't even there. They all gulped audibly. What kind of monster was he!!?
The boy slowly floated above them and asked calmly, "why...?"
His voice was low and frightening. They couldn't help but feel obliged.
"W-W-We w-were o-ordered to att...*gulp*...attack this l-land by our emperor!!"
One of the members answered fearfully. Naruto just tilted his head to the side in confusion like they all were saying the moon was created by a shin...*cough*cough*...mage.
" So you just ruined everything because you felt like it. Without any reason...? Very well then, you all can go...!!!"
All the ship members began steering the ships away fearfully but just as they were about to set out...
"... Storm Slayers: Instant incineration!"
The attack was so powerful that they didn't have any time to react at all. The black-red lightning, silver water, and golden winds all combined and erased all the ships as well as the portion of water below them instantly with just a touch.
Then the attack was released and the chaotic water, lightning, and wind created a natural storm that raged on for many days continuously!
Naruto just observed, but then fell to his knees and sealed all the access power he had with his 12-layered seal. He didn't feel any comfort or satisfaction, just a hollow feeling of nothingness inside of his head.
He then decided, one day he will surely become strong enough that he could take revenge for his loved ones and ...for his country...
He would now train just like they instructed... no rest!!
[ At Ishgar, Era]
Era is a large town, built around a high, rocky mountain. The mountain nested the headquarters of the highest authority in the world of Magic, the Magic Council. The rocky mountain is located in the heart of the city, and it features a jagged pathway that encircles the circumference of the mountain as an entrance to the Council headquarters. The town is surrounded by forestry and snow-peaked mountains, which can be seen from the Magic Council headquarters meeting room.
It was a usually peaceful town but today the magic council was having an emergency meeting with all the workers rushing around and the members of the council were watching a lacrima image of the etherion satellite's sensory view.
"It is troubling, we didn't anticipate the meteor falling. How could that have happened?!!" One of the many elderly voices contemplated.
"Do you think it was some magical spell?" Another voice questioned worriedly.
"It could be, anything is possible. But why would it fall in the middle of nowhere?!" Another voice queried.
Suddenly a frog-like creature came running down the hall and opened the door forcefully.
"Honourable councilmen, I'm sorry to interrupt but there is an immediate need for your attention to some matter"
Murmurs rang out through the chambers as the old coots grumbled about many headaches already or something like " it will be fairy tail again".
The chairman however was calm and ordered the frog-like creature to elaborate.
"Sir, there is a very large magic signature reported at the site of the meteor crash but it disappeared quickly without any sign there is a large storm approaching us from the same direction" the reporter bowed and waited till he was asked to leave.
"A magic signature so large, it's impossible for someone to have this much magic and disappear without any trace!" The first person shouted.
"Could it be a monster of some kind or a dragon?!" The second voice asked.
"Ridiculous dragons have been extinct for over 400 years now!" The third voice said.
More pointless arguments started from there but only one conclusion was drawn after hours of useless talking.
"Whatever it is we must keep an eye on anyone new that enters Ishgar and match them with this signature. We must be careful and watch out for any threats that may befall Fiore!!" The chairman ordered and all the council members dispersed but everyone had one thought common in their mind.
'Someone so powerful; we must control whoever it is and make them our pawn...'
[ With Naruto]
Many hours after walking aimlessly Naruto noticed that his body had healed pretty fast but still he was sore all over. His once cheerful and bright blue eyes were devoid of any life or emotions.
He took Seliah's book out of its seal and clutched it tight to his chest. While his physical pain was excruciating, his mental pain had broken all the limitations. He had felt pain before in his life from the countless training sessions and the scorn that the villagers showed him. But then he had his family and friend to comfort him with their warmth.
That is why he clutched Seliah's book close so that he could have some form of comfort but one thought intensified this pain further every time it struck his mind.
'I'm all alone....'
Will he never have anyone to call his family now? He guessed he wouldn't after all everyone just hated his guts especially if they were sensory mages. The friends he had, known him from his birth were still wary of him.
So he will remain alone forev...
Before he could complete the thought he heard the flapping of winds and fire. He was confused, how could there be a fire in the middle of the sea?
He looked upwards and what he saw made him astonished even in his state.
Descending from the sky was a beautiful Phoenix with red feathers and glowing bright golden flames. He had blue eyes, unlike any shade he had seen before. The bird flew towards him and noticed the birthmark he had on his neck.
"Child what are you doing here? And judging from your ability to walk on water, you are from Konoha, are you not?" The Phoenix had an authoritative but gentle voice. He again watched the mark on his neck and Naruto noticed it but ignored it.
He had more important matters in his mind, like...
"You know my village?! Of course, we have some relationship with your kind. Your magic is passed down to the royalty, right?" Naruto asked emotionlessly while indirectly answering his question.
'He has it rough, but he is at least not screaming about revenge and such...'
" Yes, I know you. Perhaps you don't know about me but I am Ablaze, What is your name young one? And what are you doing out of the village?" Ablaze introduced himself.
"I'm Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze and my village is no more...", Naruto replied with a depressed and crestfallen voice.
"Your village was destroyed, I sensed your presence and our legendary tool notified me about your position... Child; I will ask only one question. What will you do from now on?" Ablaze asked curiously wanting to know about his current state of mind.
"I don't know, but I will travel to Ishgar and I intend to fulfill a very important promise I made to someone dear..." Naruto tightened the grip on Seliah's book and looked toward Ablaze with his questioning gaze.
"You said that you sensed me, so tell me what reason do you have to find me?"
Ablaze at this point was thinking a mile per second, he can explain the child everything and tell him about his fate or lie to him and let him live a wholesome life with no additional burden than he already has.
He chose to go with the second option, which would be the best. He will be happy and do what is needed once the time is right. Also, judging by the book in the boy's hand he could only guess he had some things to carry out already. So he would be quiet for the time being.
"Child we are a clan of mystical beasts and we only come to this world when we are allowed to. I have come here because I want you to be our summoner!"Ablaze explained while again looking at the sword-like tattoo on his neck with a critical eye.
Naruto on the other hand was in deep thought. If it would've been yesterday, he would've jumped at the opportunity but now after seeing what happened because of excess love and trust. He was now literally afraid of trusting anyone even if it was some weird flaming bird.
He activated his Devil eyes and checked if this bird was some illusion. He saw that the bird was indeed a genuine Phoenix and not some enemy plot to lure him into some trap!!
"Why do you...I-I mean why would you want someone with my deadly aura and evil being to be your summoner? I know everyone in this world hates me and the only one remaining who would care for me is already sealed inside this book!!" Naruto explained thrusting the book forward and showing the bird the book.
Ablaze frowned; the boy had lost trust in humanity and the way he talked, he believed that he never would've anyone to be his friend. But Ablaze was experienced and knew he would have people who were exceptions to this rule. Besides he had limited time in this world and he would protect and show this boy the ways of life other than just magic in the meantime.
" You are not an evil child, you have just lost trust in humanity. There are exceptions to what you think and I am one such exception. I have a limited time here in this world so I would be with you till the end of it." Ablaze explained but suddenly noticed the hopeful and soon after Pained expression on the boy's face.
"So you will also leave me eventually like everyone else, I think I am cursed or something. I can't have many friends because most of them will be afraid of me till every ounce of this dark energy is absorbed in this seal while the ones who accept me shall eventually just perish...!!!" Naruto murmured sadly.
" No child, you will have me with you, but I cannot be with you forever. I must return to my world once the energy I came with is finished. You could summon me to you but there are some conditions that you must fulfill beforehand!!" Ablaze explained with a soothing voice and Naruto had a hopeful look on his face.
But then he looked a little confused and tilted his head to the side with childish innocence that he seemed to have lost, "But what is this summoning? How much time do you have and what conditions do I have to fulfill?!!"
Ablaze released a sigh. He was too old to look after kids but he had to train this child.
"Child let's talk on the way to Ishgar. We will be going to an isolated place to train you with all your magic..."
Naruto nodded and prepared to fly with his wind all slayer magic but suddenly he yelped as he was taken pretty high in the skies and disappeared in the clouds. He noticed that he was on something soft and opened his eyes. He saw himself riding on Ablaze's back. He started panicking.
Ablaze noticed his discomfort and sighed again. What a troublesome brat!," Naruto my fire harms only the one who I want to. Phoenix is not known for their powers but their superior control over their element got it!"
Naruto remained silent but relaxed. Control. If he had control over his powers then perhaps...
He looked upwards and he could've sworn he saw all of the villagers even the ones that disliked him, waving at him from the heavens.
He saw his family smiling brightly and his mother with a very relieved look on her face and then mumbled something with her lips that he couldn't hear but make out perfectly fine.
' Be safe, we will be watching over you...!!'
Naruto smiled a genuine and soft smile. He then looked towards the land below. So this was Ishgar! But then something clicked in his head and he turned towards Ablaze.
"So... About my questions...?" He queried inquisitively.
Ablaze cocked his head back but then looked forward and answered, " I have three years with you on this land. As for summoning, you can call me wherever you want but you must sign our clan's contract. Although you could only summon me and some small hatchlings who can't talk!"
Naruto pondered over it but then asked another question," Well that's ok but what are these conditions you are talking about? And where exactly are we going?"
" You must defeat our lost king so that we can have someone to take the king's throne and I can return to ashes. Once that is done you can summon me!! As for where we are going, we are going to the north of Ishgar...!!"
As the dawn began to break out, Naruto looked over at the sun and prepared for this new journey. All the while the ring on his finger shined with a gleeful shine.
{Author's Note}
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. This is the chapter. Now some of my friends were asking me if I should just jump over to the cannon. I wish to build the story and then go with cannon and even then it will be different and not like the ditto copy-paste that most people tend to do.
So someone told me I would eventually abandon the fiction. Although I will continue with it at least until I have ideas. I have some chapters already ready and mostly I do editing these texts ever since ch3 and after I mistakenly copied the first part 2 times in ch 4.
I don't know it's like some kind of glitch. I mean I did check thrice for this chapter so you will hopefully find it readable.
This chapter was mostly more tragic and after this, it's mostly how he learns more things. I don't like how fairy tail shows Nakama bond and all. I mean I know that they are important but a character must have some power not just feelings to win against a giant dragon and an immortal who isn't thinking straight.
Also about power level, Naruto has pretty high magic almost like Erza's at the cannon start at his age. While the demon's power that he used is so much that it dwarfs even August's.
Ok, so this is my end. Please review and let me know more about what you think. About the harem, this story is more about fighting and other philosophical morals. But there is romance and it's kind of slow burn or you could say not primary.
I want to show emotions and not just attractive lines like they are animals lusting over each other and Naruto being an asshole and dating all of them.
I read a story and it had pretty good writing, harem, and plot which was something. So I will try my best. This will be my first time taking on writing some romantic theme so please forgive if I disappoint you or if it's not to your liking.
