just a little drabble that came to me this morning. on a note about DandG, inspiration to finish it struck last night. so i'll finish writing it this morning and hopefully get it typed and posted later today.
very light slash, and i own nothing but Phantom (the puppy, not the boy. oh well.)

Phantom
"Please, Vlad?"
"No."
"Please?" Baby blue eyes went wide and the mouth curved into a pout.
"Fine. Just remember: you wanted it, you take care of it."
"Yay!" Small arms wound around uptight shoulders. "Thank you, Vlad!"
"Ugh."
A little while later, a dark-haired boy came bounding into the white-haired man's study carrying something in his arms.
"Oh, Vlad. Look. Isn't he the cutest?" A small puppy was wriggling in the boys hands.
"Yes. Cute." The older man had little humor in his voice. The young man frowned in thought, and then a smile lit up his face.
"I want you to name him," the young teen said, catching the older man off guard.
"What? Why?"
"Cause I picked him out. You should get to name him. It's only fair."
"Fine." The older gentleman looked the puppy over with a careful eye, then said, "It's name is Phantom."
"Huh?" The boy looked extremely confused.
"Phantom. Because it is black and white with green eyes."
"Oh." The teen hugged the puppy close, then headed out the door.
'At least I didn't name it Danny, as rambunctious as it's going to be,' the white-haired man thought to himself as he heard a crash in the hallway and a shouted, "I'm okay!"
