THE END OF THE WORLD
It was just another ordinary day for Saitama who sat on his couch playing his new favourite video game; Princess Battle Lord 6: Revenge of Ekhshaka, in his living room when the Earth was destroyed.
The first thing he noticed was the earthquakes that launched his furniture and belongings into the air. Saitama, believing it to be just another natural disaster, got ready to aid in the rescue efforts in his usual indifference.
Even at a casual pace Saitama moved so fast in his apartment that no ordinary human could see him move up close. Before his airborne television touched the violently shaking marble tiled flooring, he had already worn his yellow jumpsuit, red gloves, boots and black waist belt.
Saitama lived in a modern fortress of an apartment complex specially designed for heroes and the wealthy. It had high-tech defence technology that automatically deployed in case of an emergency. The disaster shutters of his flat had quickly rolled down blocking his view of the outside world. Annoyed, he punched it down and let the blinding red light that engulfed the outside world fill his room.
He saw a tower of light as high as the sky in the distance to the right of him, having deduced the anomaly is the cause of the Earth's violent shaking, jumped towards it with as much force as he could use without destroying the Hero Association HQ building.
Fissures in the Earth's crust that were caused by the red laser were growing wider and wider until Saitama himself was engulfed within the expanding chasm that grew beneath him.
Saitama stared in horror as the chasm went deeper and deeper into the world, revealing the mantle, then the core and it kept growing until Saitama could see the night sky on the other side of the planet.
Earth had just been destroyed.
