"She shrunk us! I don't know how but she shrunk us", Moira yelled. To any normal sized person, she probably would have had a tiny voice.
"Hm? Am I legally qualified to be a 'shrink' now", Gurin asked still sounding a bit shook up.
"NOT funny Gurin", Jabra shouted! "What the hell are we going to do?"
"Oh, look how cute you all are now! Don't bother fighting. You all belong to me now", Madame lor said as she cupped her hands around the area of the group.
"And WHAT do you even plan on doing with us! We have no value as pint sized people", Spandam shouted whilst hiding behind Lucci.
"As if HE had any value to begin with", Raymond said.
"Hey, I heard that! Why must you all be so blunt..."
"Hey, I'm just saying. Now you really DO have LITTLE value", Raymond said as snickered.
"Ahem! As I was saying...you'll all make lovely ornaments! Now I just have to figure out where to put you... Oh! I'll make a tree of souls, and stick you each onto a branch!" She seemed to be talking to them as if this situation was the most natural thing to happen to someone.
"FORGET IT! Turn us back to normal right this instant", Moira shouted. Her voice created a small gust of wind, that still managed to move Lor's clothes as if they were being moved by the wind.
"I'm afraid not. You see, it's as I said, this is the price for my fortune telling. I gave you your fortune, and now you must pay the price."
Serenity touched the ground and made a forest like barrier of plants around the group. "We refuse! You intentionally misled us with cryptic sentences."
Despite the heavy shrubbery surrounding them, a blue mist managed to squeeze in through all the plants. "I'm not giving you a choice. Now don not resist." The mist took the form of two hands, each having long blue nails.
"She's gonna kill us! Run for your lives", Spandam shouted as he ran in circles. To no avail. The hands were so big, that even if they weren't surrounded by the plants, they would still be grasped. The green vines that first surrounded them, had become purple!
"Guys, we have SMALL problem", Raymond said as he began to search through his bag of items. He as well as the rest of his friends were in some sort of brown sack.
"Raymond, you and Gurin should PLEASE stop with the puns", Kaku said.
"We're just trying to have a LITTLE fun", Gurin replied. Needless to say, it caused a few facepalms.
Raymond felt around the bag to see if he could find an opening. "Listen, I don't know whatever spell she has us under, but we wont be able to make much progress like this. If we don't take her out, we'll be stuck like this forever!"
"You make it sound like it's going to be the easiest thing in the world! We've never had to fight a giant before! Let alone a giant spellcaster", Jabra replied.
"Not to mention we can't seem to break out of here. The top is sealed tight, and nothing we do seems to be able to tear through the bag. Must be more of her magical bullcrap", Moira said.
"Are we going to be dolls forever? There are much more shameful ways to die I suppose", Kumadori said.
"Dont worry guys! Sh's got to open the bag at some point. And when she does, we just have to concentrate an attack, right", Gurin asked.
Blueno shook his head. "She might be expecting that though. Our surprise tactics work well on many enemies. Worry not! We'll never be trapped as long as I can use my abilities." Blueno simply created an air door that was big enough for them all to go through.
"And WHY didn't you do that earlier", Fukurou asked.
"Truth be told, I had to wait until we got a bit of distance. If we had to confront her by the ship, she might end up destroying it."
"Good thinking Blueno. Lets get the drop on her while we can", Lucci said as he entered the air door. Once everyone else entered as well, he sealed the other end, and within a few seconds, the bag seemed to be getting further and further away. "Look! She probably still thinks we're inside the bag."
"Good! Now we have to plan a sneak attack", Kalifa said. Suddenly, she got the creepy feeling she was being watched. "Everyone! I think someone other than that fortune teller is here!"
"Oh great! Another pain in the ass to deal with", Jabra said as he took guard.
The whole group looked around frantically in an attempt to try and scout out the possible spy...but it seemed hard to pinpoint them. Suddenly that's when the grass in front of them began to move...and out popped a huge spider! A tarantula to be exact. "Ah! Whats it doing here", Kalifa asked.
"Squish it", Jabra shouted! But before he could move, Raymond jumped in the way!
"Wait wait WAIT! Everyone calm down!" He turned around and examined the huge Tarantula. It towered over them of course since they have been significantly reduced in size. "Blue! Is that you old girl? You came to rescue us didn't you? How'd you get out of your cage", he said as he walked closer to it.
"Wait what are you doing, get away from that thing", Blueno urged.
Lucci looked closer at the arachnid. "It has blue stripes. Is it possible? Are you sure that its not just a natural inhabitant of this island?"
"No I'm sure its her. Don't ask how, but I can definitely tell." He walked closer and began to pet the it. It didn't seem to react negatively. "A crafty one, aren't you? I'm gonna have to lock your cage better from now on."
"Well, now I've seen everything", Kaku said as he shook his head. As long as its not gonna try to eat us I guess everything is ok...are you riding that thing!?"
"Yes", Raymond said as he nonchalantly crossed his legs and sat on Blue. Weird tuning of events aside, the group continued to press onward. Keeping up with Madam Lor was easier than they had anticipated. She seemingly had yet to find out that they had escaped her. "She stopped... I wonder if she realized yet."
"Everyone get in positions", Lucci called out. Everyone scattered around the area. Tall grass managed to make good cover, as well as trees that looked to go on endlessly thanks to their small statures.
Just then, Madam Lor turned around. She looked around the forest...but she looked around at her own eye level. She couldn't have been looking for them that way... but that's when she spoke up. "My bag feels AWEFULLY light all of a sudden." She didn't even say it maliciously, it was more of a sing song tone of voice.
"Oh crap! Did she...", Moira began to say.
"Wait! Don't jump out just yet, let's stay hidden", Kalifa replied... but that's when something weird happened. The very sky above them began to turn a strange dark blue.
"I'm afraid you've forced my hand noooooow!" She gave another dry cackle and vanished into thin air!
"Oh, come on, where'd she go", Kaku asked. There wasn't a single trace of her, except for the dark sky that remained. "Why did they sky get so dark? Is that her doing?"
"No, I can sense her power all around us still. It feels like she's all around us. She's here, but I can't see her form", Raymond said.
"Nobody panic! I'm sure she probably just left us alone", Spandam said as if he was trying to convince himself. Even Hattori could see that he was bluffing.
The dark blue sky, began to blanket the area, now even seeming to turn the air blue. It was hard to see anything BUT blue actually. Like a sudden bout with a bucket of water, it all vanished! "Did she...do anything", Borya asked.
"Does this answer your question", a loud voice said. Everyone looked up, and saw an even BIGGER Madame Lor. She was so big, that she managed to tower over the trees. It's as if now not only did she shrink them, but SHE grew as well! "Now I'll just have to squish all of you like bugs!"
Lucci stood up and dusted off his pants. "Everyone! Attacks!" As soon as he pointed, the battle began. He attempted to attack the giant lady with his storm leg attack and it went through her...but not in the way he expected. It went through her body as if she were some sort of shadow. "What is this?"
"Perhaps we need something a bit different. Bubble shot", Kalifa took a mass of bubbles, shaped it into an arrow and fired it at Lor, but again it simply went through. "Thats not natural!"
"Oh hohoho! How adorable. Now try this on for SIZE!" Madame Lor took in a deep breath, and let loose what felt like a force of wind. It was so strong it actually knocked everyone over."
"That really BLOWS! What else can she do... wait a minute", Raymond said to himself. He noticed that they were all on the ground, but Blue seemed to be perfectly fine. Not only that, but the plants seemed to be in one piece. How could such a powerful wind not knock over anything BUT the fighters? Something was amiss here. Just then, Blue shuffled off into the grass, but she seemed to continue to move forward. "Blue, where are you going?"
"This isn't good! How are we supposed to beat her if we can't actually hit her", Gurin asked.
"Thats the point! You can't beat me! Now Remember when I said I was going to squish you all', she said as she picked up the Skydancer itself.
"No! Not the boat! Not the boat", Moira said. Where did she even GET the SKyDancer?
"We're stranded on this Island if she smashes that boat! And that's IF she doesn't smoosh us", Blueno said. That's when they saw something weird. It would appear that Blue had somehow made her way up to Madam Lor's sleeve. "Hey...is that Blue?"
"You mean that big spider? What's it doing?" As if to answer Spandam's question, a sudden yelp from Madam Lor echoed through the area. "Oh! That explains."
"Oh, you little bug you", she said as she grabbed her arm. It would appear that Blue had bit her RIGHT on the arm. "Hm... wait, was that thing venomous", she asked.
"Oh, very much so! A highly dangerous neurotoxin that just might be enough to do you in...oh who am I kidding, its GONNA do you in.
Right then and there Madame Lor seemingly began to panic! She almost looked like she was looking around for some sort of anti-venom. "Is... Blue really that venomous", Jabra asked.
"Nah, it's just a bluff. She does have venom but it can't do any of us any harm...in our normal sizes at least... I can use her venom to amplify some deadly weapons now that I think about it. Hey madame Lor, want the anti-venom", Raymond asked as he held up a vial of some sort.
"Of course, I do you buffoon!"
"Everyone, get ready to run", Raymond said as he looked back towards the direction of the ship. "Then come and get it!" Everyone shaved away at the speed of light.
"Raymond, why are we running back towards the beach? If she has the ship, then wont she just smash it", Fukurou asked. "You're leaving Blue behind!"
"Don't worry, Blue will be fine. I'm not certain, but I don't think Lor actually has our ship", this confused a lot of them. If she didn't have the ship, then why did they notice it in her hand? "When she blew wind at us, I noticed that we all fell over. I also noticed that it didn't know any plants or even trees over. Not only that, but Blue wasn't even affected by it. Something tells me we have a smoke and mirrors tactic here."
"I was thinking something similar actually", Kaku replied. "I bet I know what's going on...but how do we break it?"
"Break? What are you two talking about", Jabra asked. They arrived at the beach, with only seconds to spare with Madame Lor seemingly floating above the trees. As they guessed, her presence didn't disturb a single tree. "Everyone, take your positions!"
"Give me that vial", she called out.
"You dop! There's not enough venom in Blue's bite to do more than give you a headache! Now Moira!"
Everyone covered their ears as moira took a deep breath. "Seagull shooooooooout! A soundwave ravaged the area, not only knocking down the combatants, but also the trees, and even madame Lor! The strange thing is, that even though she fell over, she didn't make that much of a sound. At least not much for a persona who was supposedly giant!
"It worked! It worked", Gurin shouted. Just then as if waking up from a sudden dream... everything returned to normal. They returned to normal size, as did Madame Lor. "Wait, was this some kind of trick...Let me guess a devil fruit?"
"Well, I know for sure part of her power was...but there seemed to be two different ones. One of them had to have been some sort of natural ability", Kaku said.
"How could you!? You've tricked me AND ruined my illusion! She called out. Her eyes were nearly flaring at the group. "You saw through my Fool-Fool fruit! It lets me make realistic illusions to trick my enemies!"
"You can make people see, hear and even believe that something is there when it really isn't. That would explain why Raymond and Kaku saw that the trees were not moving. It also didn't affect Blue, which could mean your power didn't work on her. Doesn't work on things of lesser intelligence perhaps", Lucci asked.
"She made it look like she had grown to an enormous size. We were attacking nothing but air whilst she easily avoided our attacks. We must have looked pretty silly, really", Blueno added.
"Then that means that the image she showed us of Hannibal was a fake then? A true waste of time", Kumadori asked. "A fortune telling charade!"
"No. My fortune telling ability is indeed a natural talent of mine. What I showed you is truly what the future holds for you", Lor said as she stood up.
"We figured that as well. But with that being said, what was the point of all of this then", Raymond asked. Blue came shuffling over towards the group from the grass. "Ah! There you are! So, you were this size the entire time huh? That explains why you didn't try to eat me, I guess... but what the hell was I riding on, then? Ah who cares, you still saved us in a way. Got us out of a HAIRY situtation!
"Hmph! The POINT of this was simply to keep you away from Cannibal's ship!"
Gurin gasped in surprise. "Are you one of his crew mates? If so, I don't think this will be as hard as we were expecting."
"Not quite, Gurin. Remember what Violet said? All of Cannibals crew have carnivorous Zoan fruits. Even then she must apparently be working for him in some way", Serenity replied.
"I won't deter you from the truth. I am someone he tasked with slowing you down. Just so you know though, neither he nor I expected you to fall to my power of course. Hence the entire point of my mission was to gum up the works."
"Ok so you slowed us down. Big whoop! We know your little trick now so you can't fool us again, and now you're going to pay", Kalifa replied.
"Oh but you're wrong. I could fool you ALL day if I had the patience! That's how my power works. But I can see that you lot have a strange sort of luck. Its not quite the devil's luck but it would be unwise to continue this confrontation. No matter how much luck you have it'll run out soon. Cannibal will make SURE of that!"
"Enough of this! You can die now!" Lucci snapped his fingers and shot fire at her!
Madame Lor vanished into thin air again! "Hahaha! You'll all die!"
"I don't sense her anymore. She must have left the area...which is good since fighting her would be more bothersome than accomplish anything", Raymond said.
Gurin nodded. Besides, I think there's more to the reason she attacked us. I think we're getting close to Cannibal's ship. I'm starting to get chills, and at this point I don't know if its anticipation...or...". They all looked at their ship, and then looked on to the distance. There seemed to a fog welling up further down in the direction they are headed.
