Sandy was lying in his bed when the phone started ringing. He answered it and was surprised when he heard his ex-girlfriends voice.

"Hi Sandy."

Honey why you calling me so late?

"Hi, Kirsten. You do know it's 4 in the morning."

"Yeah." She whispered trying to hide the tears that were threatening.

It's kinda hard to talk right now

"It's hard to talk right now." He said quietly.

She let the tears fall and quit trying to hide that she was crying.

Honey why you crying is everything okay?

"Kirsten? Are you okay? Why are you crying?"

"Sandy..."

I gotta whisper cuz I can't be to loud

"I have to whisper...Rachel is in the next room."

Well my girls in the next room, sometimes I wish she was you

"I miss you Sandy..."

Sandy closed his eyes and sighed. He missed her too.

I guess we never really moved on, It's really good to hear your voice

"It's good to hear from you...hear your voice."

"It's good to hear your voice too, Sandy."

Say my name it sounds so sweet. Coming from the lips of an angel, hearing those words it makes me weak

"Kirsten, i really miss you...How's L.A going?"

And I, never want to say goodbye, but girl you make it hard to be faithful. With the lips of an angel

"It's good. I want to come back to Berkeley though."

He really wanted to ask her if she was seeing anybody. But would that be rude?

"You know, it's funny that you're calling me tonight, I was going to call you tomorrow." He decided to go with that instead.

It's funny that you're calling me, tonight

"I couldn't wait that long. I dreamt of you."

"I dreamt of you too." Sandy said quietly.

and yes, I dreamt of you too

"Are you seeing anybody?" He asked her the most important question that he really needed to hear the answer of.

"Yes." She said quietly almost not able for him to her.

"Does he know you're talking to me?"

Does he know you're talking to me? Will it start a fight

"No." She hesitated. "Does she know you're talking to me?"

"No. I don't think she does."

no, I don't think she has a clue

"Rachels' in the next room...I wish she was you sometimes."

"Sandy, please don't make this hard..."

And I...never want to say goodbye

"I have to go Sandy..."

Sandy held back his tears. "Kirsten. I don't want to say goodbye."

"Sandy..." She let some tears run down her face. "Please don't call me after tonight. It's just...it's to hard."

"Kirsten. Please. We can work this out. We always do. I'll transfer to UCLA. Please, don't leave me."

"I'm sorry Sandy." She said those three words Sandy had been wanting to hear. "I love you Sandy. Goodbye."

Sandy didn't have the chance to say it back. He heard the click of the line going dead. "I love you too...Kirsten."
