Chapter 4: A Day In The Life
_Izuku's POV_
"Can I help you sir?" Izuku asked the man in a trench coat and hat who approached the bar.
"I am here to ask about your possible involvement in the USJ attack." the detective informed the bartender.
"Wasn't that a villain attack?" Izuku asked.
"It was but one of the victims involved said you were one of the villains involved." the detective replied.
"I'll answer your questions but I don't think you'll get any information that will place me at the USJ cause I was here the whole day." Izuku responded.
"What were you doing?" the detective asked.
"Cleaning up, checking stock, filling orders and serving the odd customer." Izuku explained, "I still have the surveillance footage on the computer in the back office if you want a copy."
"Please." the detective replied, causing Izuku to go to the back office to copy the footage on a disk for the detective.
"Sorry that took so long." Izuku said while handing him the disk, "Although I should tell you that the camera in the walk-in freezer is broken due to my manager buying the cheapest one that was not waterproof."
"I assume it was above the door?" the detective asked.
"Yeah, the guy who wired it was a dumbass." Izuku replied.
"Sounds like it." the detective said before asking, "Do you have any idea why a UA student would claim you were involved in the USJ attack?"
"I assume it was Katsuki Bakugo." Izuku began, "That bastard always called me a villain when we were kids and he did the same with several pro heroes causing me to get arrested."
"I wasn't aware you two had a past." the detective replied.
"Thanks to him I spent 30 days in jail, got kicked out of school and my landlord evicted me from my apartment and had all my belongings sold as back rent even though he still lets my mother live there." Izuku began, "And now that I'm getting my life back on track he wants to ruin what progress I've made."
"Well, thanks to everything you've told me I have no reason to think you had anything to do with it." the detective replied.
"You might want to keep your eye on Bakugo." Izuku began, "Judging by something one of his classmates from UA posted online about Bakugo trying to rape a female classmate and another classmate commenting about him acting like a more aggressive Harvey Weinstien, he might end up becoming the next Bill Cosby."
"Noted." the detective said before pocketing the disk.
"It was nice talking to you Mr...I'm sorry but I didn't get your name." Izuku said.
"Naomasa Tsukachi." The detective replied before leaving.
"Well that was close." Jiro said while walking from the back of the bar.
"You have no idea." Izuku began, "That detective can tell when you're lying and thankfully I was able to tell him exactly what he needed to know without having to technically lie."
"At least you're not a suspect now." Jiro replied.
"So what's going on tonight?" Izuku asked.
"We had a student from UA make a reservation to have all of 1-A hold a private party here tonight and she offered to pay double the usual cost." Jiro informed him.
"Well shit." Izuku responded, "At least the money will be good."
_Hours Later_
"At least they're behaving themselves." Izuku said to himself while watching the students of 1-A drink and have discussions about the USJ and the upcoming sport's festival, unfortunately this didn't last long until a certain blonde prolapsed asshole began angrily approaching the bar while shouting.
"HEY ASSHOLE! WHY HAVEN'T I BEEN GETTING THE DRINK I ORDERED?" Bakugo yelled, not noticing who the bartender was.
"That's because we require at least two people in each group to be sober for when it's time to leave." Izuku explained with his back to Bakugo, "That way I don't have a group of drunks wandering the streets."
"THEN HOW COME YOU SINGLED OUT ME, IT'S NOT FUCKING FAIR!" Bakugo yelled, causing Izuku to face him.
"I got a 1600 on my SATs, life isn't fair." Izuku replied, "Besides, I'm also not serving the grape headed one."
"Well look who it is." Bakugo said, suddenly calm with a smug grin on his face, "Cause last I heard you were taking it in the ass in jail."
"And I heard you got your ass kicked by a petite girl with audio jacks hanging from her ears." Izuku replied.
"And how did you hear about that?" Bakugo asked, now with an angry look on his face.
"I think you know my new musician." Izuku replied while gesturing to the girl playing guitar on the stage.
"So what if I tried to fuck her. The fact that your swooping in on my scraps shows just what kind of a pathetic dick you are." Bakugo began, "I'm surprised you're still even out of jail, I'm pretty sure I told that detective you attacked me at the USJ."
"Didn't the detective tell you that I had an alibi during the attack. I even gave him video evidence that I wasn't involved in it." Izuku explained.
"Whatever villain." Bakugo said before heading back to his table, but not before lunging at the small child that just walked in.
"GET THE FUCK OUT!" Izuku yelled at the explosive blonde, causing everyone to stare at the two.
"The fuck did you say to me?" Bakugo asked while slowly turning to face the approaching bartender.
"I said." Izuku began, putting emphasis on every word, "Get. The. Fuck. Out."
"Cause I pulled a prank on some random failed abortion?" Bakugo said, causing the girl to hide behind Izuku's legs.
"Seeing as how she's my adopted daughter I don't take well to anyone who scares or tries to hurt her." Izuku replied in an angry tone, "Get the fuck out of my bar right now."
"How about I do this instead?" Bakugo asked while trying and failing to use his quirk on Izuku, "What the fuck did you do to me?"
"You know most bars these days put quirk suppressors up to prevent drunk assholes from tearing the place apart or attacking people with their quirks. Makes it easier to deal with bar fights." Izuku explained, "Now get out."
"This isn't over." Bakugo said before Izuku took a picture of Bakugo with a polaroid camera.
"Never come back again." Izuku said while shaking the picture.
"Is the scary man gone?" Eri asked while peeking from behind his legs.
"He's gone. Now go upstairs and get ready for bed and I'll be able to tuck you in when everyone leaves." Izuku tells the girl before going to pin the picture up behind the bar.
