[A/N] Didn't know what to name this chapter, AT ALL.

-The Next Morning-

Yuuma was on edge, it would have been odd if he wasn't.

Aunt Airi didn't tell him about what was going on after they'd managed to get Ritsu to sleep. She gathered up his travel case, putting spare clothes and essentials in it and told him the next morning that they'd be going to their grandma's for a while. Grandma Ao's house was much closer to Ritsu's school than their house was and had the same level of security that theirs did.

This sudden development wasn't missed by Yuuma or Ritsu, and they knew that something had to of happened. But Airi said nothing, only driving them to their grandma's who greeted them with a warm smile. The two of them shared a look before nodding to each other in some silent conversation they couldn't comprehend.

"Mom, did something happen yesterday?" Ritsu asked quietly, the fear he felt still fresh in his mind.

"It's nothing for you to worry about, okay? I'm going to be a lot busier than normal because of a case, that's all." She comforted. "Be a big boy for me. You and Yuuma are the men of the house 'til I get back, alright? Think you can handle that?"

"You know I can!" Ritsu answered, nodding and saying his goodbyes as he returned with his grandma to the house. The worry was still there, but he had faith in his Mom. His mom was strong, he knew he could always trust her.

It was just Yuuma and Airi now, and the boy's hands were clenching open and closed. Airi knew that that meant he was having trouble with something. He turned to face her.

Yuuma was not as naïve as his younger cousin. He could sense the ominous vibes that came off of those words. Airi could hide it from her son, but from Yuuma? No, he was much too perceptive for that. "Something bad did happen, didn't it. I-is it really bad. W-will you be okay?" His voice died down until it was only a whisper. "Do you have to go?"

He could hear the voice of his younger self screaming for his parents not to leave. That feeling, he didn't want to ever experience it again. But for some reason he felt it creeping in. The dread. The fear.

He didn't mask his worry or anxiousness. She only ever took them to the safety of their grandmother's house when something big had happened and it required her to be at work almost full time. He could tell she was bottling up her emotions because she knew Ritsu would pick up on it otherwise. Unlike him, she had perfect control of when her emotions took control.

She knelt down to face him, her face full of calm determination. Airi knew that Yuuma was concerned. She knew he didn't want her to leave. And she knew that this worry stemmed from what had happened to his parents. When they left to fight their battle... they didn't come back.

And she knew Yuuma was scared of that happening again.

"Yuuma, I'll come back. Everything's gonna be just fine. Just look after Ritsu for me while I'm away, okay? Make him feel safe until I get this settled. You can do that for me, right?"

"Yeah. I'll keep him safe. You be safe too... okay? Please..." His eyes conveyed everything emotion he wanted to convey, every silent plea. Her eyes softened as a smile graced her lips. "I promise I'll be safe. Now go on, your Grandma is waiting to dote on you and both you and Ritsu have to prepare for school."

Yuuma let himself smile too. Aunt Airi always kept her promises. Always. He let his mind ease as he went in his grandmother's abode, bidding a final farewell to Aunt Airi as she drove off to work.

It was pretty early, but they were able to get enough rest before they had to prepare for school. Yuuma, being to protective older brother figure he is, walked with Ritsu to school, almost into the building and into his class, before making his way to his own school. He made sure that Ritsu had all of his things, that he had all of his emergency contacts ready, that he had his lunch ready, everything.

Only when he made sure everything was right with Ritsu did he make his way to Yuuei. Grandma Ao had made his favorite food for lunch and had given both of them a goodbye kiss on their forehead before leaving. After school he was to pick up Ritsu again, and it would repeat everyday until... well, forever.

Yuuma wasn't going to let anything happen to Ritsu. If something ever did happen to him... he'd never forgive himself. It couldn't happen. Taking a deep breath, he let his worries die down just a bit as he made his way to school. His aunt had already messaged Uncle Zawa that he'd be a little late today because of whatever was going on. As someone that was younger, extra precautions had to be taken.

"Ah, Yuuma. How's the brat?" Aizawa asked as the younger boy walked in to class. It was in his usual monotone but Yuuma being Yuuma knew he was concerned. "He's okay. I made sure he got to school safe, and we're staying at our grandma's for a while." He answered, earning a nod from the tired man.

Aizawa was contemplating whether to visit or not. With his busy schedule making a time to visit the brat was a bit difficult, especially now that Airi was starting up that case she'd been working on in earnest.

Almost six years she'd been working on that case. It was almost an obsession at this point, but he could understand why she was so driven to solve this.

Her sister, her best friend, and before that, her fiancée. She lost so much to this case. Not five years after her loss, she lost even more, it was like a curse. The only thing that made it just bearable for her to not go insane were the two angels she had with her, her son Ritsu, and her nephew, Yuuma.

Of course he made sure to check in on her and the kids whenever he could, it was a constant routine to him. She took her job seriously, was rational and to the point, and made sure to spend every moment she wasn't working with her kids. She was an independent, hardworking, beautiful mother.

And he may or may not have fallen for her. Maybe, just maybe.

Yuuma noticed the subtle shift in his energy and the softening of his eyes. But just as quickly as he saw it the energy went back to a steady calm. What was that? It was so quick Yuuma thought he'd hallucinated it. Did he drink bad milk? No, that wasn't it. Maybe he didn't get enough sleep? He had been having those weird dreams more often now so that might be—

"Ehem." Aizawa cleared his throat, cutting off Yuuma's internal rambling. These thoughts were for another time. "Take your seat, we're starting homeroom."

Today was the official start of classes. The beginning of the day was regular schooling: Social Studies, English, Sciences, the works. Compared to yesterday, today was extremely slow. It was a peaceful, normal school day full of learning, and Yuuma loved every second of it. The cool factor was that they were being taught by pro heroes, but other than that it wasn't any different from a normal school.

It took his mind off of the worry and... fear... that had happened yesterday. Maybe he was overthinking things like he usually did. But everything felt off, and had been feeling off for a while now. The dreams, Ritsu being scared by something, and now Aunt Airi going off on another case right after. All of it can't be coincidence, can it?

Please let it just be a coincidence...

"Can anyone tell me the answer?" Present Mic said, his voice as inside as it was gonna get, which wasn't much. They were in English, and Yuuma could see a few people struggling with the subject. Those who weren't having a problem with it were the pretty girl, Yaoyorozu, the dual haired boy, Todoroki, and a few others.

"It's the fourth one, right, Yamada-Sensei?" Yuuma spoke up, earning an eager thumbs up from the loud man. "YEAH!" He'd exclaimed, earning a wince form those in the class with sensitive ears. Yuuma was the only student in his class that didn't look extremely bored! Officially his favorite student. The smile the kid wore knowing he got the answer right was simply adorable.

His eyes were sparkling with everything he was learning, and he was writing down his notes in his notebook. He had one for every subject, and it was full of sticky notes for easy and simple ways to study and learn for those that had a little more trouble than most. When Yuuma first dove head first into studying, it was simply to fill up the empty space losing his parents had left in him.

But that space was slowly being filled by something other than empty, it was filled with love, his family, his friends, and new friends he was making. Studying was no longer something he had to do just to keep from crashing into his sea of negative feelings, it had become a pastime that he could actually enjoy again. Studying made him feel like that five year old child who's world hadn't yet ended, it made him feel closer to his old self.

As this was one of the top, if not the top, school in the region, they got into their studies fairly quickly and seriously. Yuuma could tell that a few of the students were struggling to keep up, and he really wanted to get up and help them if he could. The blond one with the lightning mark in his hair, Kaminari, looked like he was short circuiting. The pink girl with horns, Ashido, looked like she was mentally dying. And a few others looked like they were having trouble.

'I should talk to them at lunch and ask if they want some help.' He mentally stated. The day went on like this. Nice, slow, and normal. He talked a bit with Katsuki, asking about the people he sat with at lunch and what he thought of them. The ash blond vehemently denied not minding their company, especially when it came to the red head named Kirishima.

Yuuma could sense the best friend vibes coming from them both. Kirishima's energy was strong, bright. He seemed to be very open and inviting, and seemed to understand Katsuki's smaller gestures (the ones that told others he was actually listening and wasn't actually mad). Yep, Yuuma was sure they'd grow to be good friends.

It was the same for Izuku and his little group with Uraraka and Iida. Once they got past the barrier that had been made by their first impressions of each other, Iida and Izuku were on good terms. Uraraka was bubbly and nice, a very good friend. Izuku was more open than he used to be, and it made Yuuma very happy.

Yuuma had talked more with Tsu-chan, Shoji, and Aoyama during some of his classes. He'd also had the pleasure of possibly making a new acquaintance in Tokoyami, who sat just across from him. They had an assignment which had to be done in pairs, and they had to work together.

"Hi, I'm Yuuma Kageyama. It's nice to meet you." Yuuma's nerves had gotten much better since yesterday, getting used to saying hello to his classmates.

"Greetings, I'm Fumikage Tokoyami," He'd said, nodding slightly.

"I'm Dark Shadow! Nice to meetcha, squirt!" A shadow creature sprang up from his shadow, surprising the younger boy a bit before he gave a small nod. "Hi! It's nice to meet you too." He said, patting the manifestation on his head. It let him, even humming in satisfaction at the action.

Tokoyami's eyes widened a bit at that. 'Dark Shadow let Kageyama pet him? He's usually a bit hostile to new people...'

Yuuma found that Tokoyami was a very reserved person. He was focused on his task and rarely made small talk except when needed. That didn't mean he was mean, by no means was he anything of the sort. When they worked in silence, occasionally asking the other questions and talking, it was a comfortable silence. Yuuma liked working with Tokoyami.

Dark Shadow was much more outgoing than his counterpart, and he even had his own separate energy reading about him which Yuuma found fascinating. How could a quirk feel connected, yet different form the person wielding it? Maybe it was because Dark Shadow was sentient to a degree?

'It's like always having a friend with you.' Yuuma thought that idea was wonderful.

So, instead of thinking he'd made one new friend in the avian teen, Yuuma proudly decided he'd made two friends in one. This made Yuuma very, very happy.

"Yaoyorozu's boobs are top class, no doubt." And then there was the grape. He was drooling over the girls in the glass, ogling them grossly which Yuuma did not like at all.

He turned to face the small grape.

"Grape-san, Why are you talking about our classmates like that? No one wants you to look at them in that manner." He'd said. The grape simply sighed, shaking his head.

"Boobs, Butts, thighs, panties! These things are what create paradise! Why should I not admire their greatness when such wonderful things are around for me to see?!" Yuuma was reading his energy the entire time, his eyes giving off an eerie glow.

"...No woman will ever want to be near you. You... are really disgusting, Grape-san."

Stab!

"Please stay away from them." Yuuma ended, staring the little man down with a sort of silent glare in his eyes as they were still giving off that eerie glow. "It won't end well for you otherwise."

Though one could see that he was visibly taken aback, the grape didn't back down. "W-what are you gonna do, huh? I have the right to look where I want-"

He did not finish that statement as he was lifted into the air using Yuuma's telekinesis. "Sero-san, can I have a bit of your tape, please?" The child asked politely. A little shocked at the display, Sero asked how much he needed and gave him the amount he asked for. It took all of three seconds for the grape to be blindfolded and strapped to the ceiling using said tape. He put a barrier around the grape, which didn't let out any sound. The class paused momentarily, a bit shocked Yuuma had done something like that.

But they soon went back to what they were doing as no one cared for the grape's existence.

"Where'd Mineta go?" The Aizawa asked, noticing his presence was missing after he sat up from his sleep to make sure the kids hadn't burned the room down. Students took a side glance to the ceiling but said nothing, it was Yuuma that answered.

"I put him up there." Yuuma pointed, not caring about the shocked faces of his peers as he'd actually spoken the truth about what'd he'd done to the grape. "He was being mean to the girls so I got him away from them and made it so he couldn't do anything to them anymore until... whenever I decide to get him down."

A pause.

"I wasn't going to let him down at all though. Probably. Most likely."

'Thank you, Kageyama!' The girls exclaimed.

'Such honesty!' The boys exclaimed.

'I need to be careful of what I say and do from now on.' A certain electric quirk user sweat dropped.

"Yuuma... you can't—"

"You will get more sleep if he stays where he is, Aizawa-Sensei." Yuuma cut him off mid-sentence, a gleam in his eye as he met his teacher's gaze.

"Fine." He responded immediately, returning to his sleeping bag as if nothing had happened.

'So quick!'

Classes went on like this, and it was only when the grape's energy was genuinely pleading for mercy and forgiveness that Yuuma let him down again. "The next time you think to be mean to the girls I will stick you outside the window on the third floor and leave you there. Please stop being mean, Grape-san."

There was no smile, no glint, and no emotion in the younger boy's face. Grape knew that Yuuma was not playing when he said he'd stick him outside the building and leave him for dead.

New thing learned about Yuuma: He respects women, and he makes sure they are respected in his presence. He has zero tolerance for perverts.

"Please refrain from doing something so stupid."

The grape paled, nodding his head profusely as Yuuma's neutral face made it all the more terrifying. Yuuma knew he didn't like the Grape. Now he knew the reason. He turned his head, finally registering the reactions of the class. The girls looked very happy, some of the boys were regarding him with respect. Some didn't care, such as Todoroki and Tokoyami. Some were shocked, like Izuku. And others were laughing their head off.

We all know that was Katsuki.

For some reason Kaminari paled, Yuuma wasn't sure why though. As long as he respected his classmates and wasn't mean in the way the grape scum was he'd be fine.

The day went by peacefully like this.

The end of the day had come, and with it the swelling anticipation for the most awaited class of the day. Who would be their teacher for this particular class? Each and every one of the students in Class 1-A were practically vibrating with curiosity.

"I AM HERE..." Everyone heard something at the door. Yuuma could feel the energy radiating from it. It felt familiar for more reasons than he was sure of, but the most prominent of them was that the energy he was reading from the door felt and looked similar to the energy that was now coming off of Izuku.

'That's strange.' He thought.

"...COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" Posing himself in front of the door was none other than the number one hero himself, All Might. His boisterous, compassionate, and slightly obnoxious energy rippled off of him in waves.

'That... isn't normal, All Might-Sensei.' Yuuma thought, staring at him with a blank face. 'It's All Might-like.'

Meanwhile, the class was collectively losing their minds.

"It's really All Might!"

"We're going to be taught by the number one! That's so manly!"

"Is that his silver age costume? So retro!"

"The rumors were true, he's really going to be teaching here!"

"This is awesome!"

Everyone was shouting praises and excitements, and even Izuku and Katsuki were awestruck, having their individual fanboy moments as their number 1 Idol stood before them as their heroics teacher. Everyone... but Yuuma, who was analyzing this muscular giant of a man as if he had a magnifying glass in his hand.

This man, the amount of energy he had was overwhelming. But, there were places on him that were so dark they were black. Injuries, really bad ones. No one else would ever notice with how he was acting, his signature blinding smile masking it all too well. But there was no way this man wasn't in pain right now. How was he even teaching this class like that? Had he gone to Granny Chiyo yet, because he should.

56%

Yuuma was very worried for his teacher. Maybe he could ease his pain with his healing? No, that probably wouldn't work. He'd never seen an injury that was pitch black like that... none of the energies he'd seen were ever black. Maybe there was a reason he wasn't saying anything? He'd have to ask him when he had the time.

The next thing he noticed was of course the energy Izuku had, and the energy coming off of All Might. Izuku's was a lot brighter than his, but the mix of colors seemed very similar. Maybe it was because their quirks were similar?

'Maybe that's just what power type quirk energies look like?' He thought. But he wasn't sure. As concerned as he was, there was a time and place to make those concerns known. All Might seemed really eager to start teaching the class. There were little waves that represented his nerves as this would be his official first day of teaching. He wasn't going to ruin this moment for him with his concerns.

After class. He'd wait till after class to ask his questions.

58%

Katsuki and Izuku noticed the look on Yuuma's face, and they thought it was extremely odd. Everyone was losing their minds seeing that All Might was their teacher, but Yuuma was just staring at the man as if he was concerned.

Why was he concerned?

It wasn't like Yuuma didn't share in their admiration of the number 1, of course it was more subdued because he had other heroes that were his favorite.

Izuku's eyes widened as he was the only one to realize what Yuuma could possibly had seen. Yuuma was probably the only one who'd be able to find out about that! He looked between the two with a sense of worry and dread. Yuuma had figured out the secret of All Might's injury! Would he keep it a secret? No, Yuuma would never do that. If Izuku knew the younger boy at all he knew that if something worried him he let it be known clearly.

Yuuma had a look of contemplation on his face, but it then calmed back into his neutral position. He hadn't made any moves to ask his mentor anything or let it be known that he knew anything. He was waiting. Yuuma had decided to not ask right away.

Oh, how thankful Izuku was that Yuuma was thoughtful. He figured Yuuma didn't want to ruin All Might's teaching experience with his worried questions.

Katsuki was just lost, not knowing anything about anything that had just happened within that moment. He was looking at the child as if he'd lost his mind or grown an extra head as his quirk for not being as excited as the rest of the class was. All Might was in front of them. ALL MIGHT! Katsuki looked as if he was trying to do rocket science without tools.

Their thoughts were cut short when the man began to boisterously let out a powerful laugh. "That's right! I will be teaching Heroics 101! And our first lesson shall be—" He held up a card which spelled out a single word in giant, bold letters: BATTLE.

"Fight Training!" All of Katsuki's previous thoughts were forgotten instantly as he sent a murderous wave of malicious intent toward one green haired teen. This day couldn't get any better than this very moment for the explosion user.

For Izuku though?

Yeah, the world was promptly ending.

Yuuma immediately looked towards Izuku and Katsuki, and their faces were all he needed to see to know what they were thinking. A menacing grin versus a despairing gaze.

'Mr. Might, please say sike, sir.' Yuuma thought.

He didn't, and held up cases which had their costumes and gave instructions to meet him where they had their entrance exam. Everyone erupted into cheers and grabbed their designated case, all of them eager for their lesson. All except Yuuma, who had a sneaking feeling this was going to be a disaster.

'..Oh. no.'
