I DREAM OF RAINBOWS
Disclaimer: The Cullen's, the Swans, and most of the characters mentioned in the story that are known from Stephanie Meyer's beloved Twilight Saga, are all hers and hers alone. I neither have nor wish to pass them off as mine. I do appreciate the fact that she did bring them to life and allows us to play with them in our imaginations. The only thing I will claim is the current storyline.
The awesome and talented dowlingnana searched out my errors and corrected them.
And, with that thought, Edward couldn't help to smile to himself as a picture of how his plans would go passed through his mind.
CHAPTER 61: ARE WISHES GOING TO COME TRUE?
Edward arrived in Seattle two days before Bella was due back and had already gotten comfortable with his plans to finally conquer Isabella Swan. However, to keep his cover in place, he had contacted an author that lived in Washington state that had a book listed on the bestseller list and organized a meeting between the two of them in Seattle. That way no one would suspect what his main objective was: the seduction of Isabella Swan.
Normally the type of meeting that Edward was planning actually belonged to Jasper's department for acquiring new material for production, but he needed something that gave him a legitimate excuse for being in Seattle when Bella Swan returned.
After getting comfortable in his hotel suite, Edward made the first call to Bella's home fully knowing that he would only receive her voicemail. He left a message stating that he was in Seattle and was hoping that they would be able to get together for dinner after his business meeting.
Edward's plan was to call several more times leaving the same type of message, acting as if he thought that Bella was already in town.

"When are we going to see you again?" Rosalie asked Bella.
"When you get yourselves back to Los Angeles. I have things that I need to do in Seattle as well as I do have a new book I'm working on at the same time. I need the quiet time to get further along with the story."
"How do you think Edward is going to handle the time that you'll be spending in Seattle and with him being in Los Angeles? I mean things are starting to get hot and heavy between the two of you. And don't forget that he has declared himself as committed only to an exclusive relationship with you." Alice tossed in her two cents worth.
"Okay, you two, enough is enough." Bella told her cousins with a small smile and an accompanying chuckle. Then she continued, "What is happening between Edward and me is something that I'm still trying to figure out. So, let's cool the nosiness for now, all right?" She finished.
Alice and Rosalie were at the airport to say goodbye to Bella as she was catching a flight back to Seattle. The car they had rented in L. A. was remaining with the two women that were being left behind so they would have a way of getting around. They would turn it in at the airport as the location filming was finished, and once they had returned home to L. A.
Bella's flight number was called so she said a final goodbye and headed off to get through security and down to board her plane. And, as she disappeared out of sight, Alice and Rosalie looked at each other then turned to leave the airport.
"How do you think things are going to work out between Bella and Edward, Alice? Have you had any sort of vision about the outcome where they are concerned?" Rosalie asked, not for the first time since Bella and Edward had started dating.
"Rose, I don't have any extra insight as to what is going to happen between them. However, I can tell you that I have a very strong feeling that the other shoe hasn't dropped yet.
"Once that happens then it will all depend on how they handle that outcome as to what their future together and separately will be." Alice told her cousin.
After that each woman was silent on the way back to their hotel, deep in their own thoughts about Bella's and Edward's relationship.

While flying back home to Seattle, Bella took the time to relax and let her mind drift back over to the time she, Alice and Rosalie had arrived in Seattle.
It didn't take long for Bella to check on things at her house while Alice and Rosalie checked into their hotel room. Next, Bella called her agent, her attorney and her accountant to get caught up on anything that might need her immediate attention. Nothing was pressing so she was ready to head to Forks when her cousins returned to pick her up.
Charlie had been delighted to see his daughter and two nieces and took the time off from work to spend the short time they would be in Forks with him. It was during that time that he reminded Alice and Rosalie that they needed to plan a visit to their parents. He also told Bella that her aunts and uncles were wanting some time with her as well. But the visit was enjoyable.
Once the three women had returned to Seattle from their visit with Charlie, Rosalie and Alice got down to some serious shopping while Bella was busy getting some work done on her new book. Then they all hit the road for the drive to Vancouver Canada.
Charlie's mention of parents and aunts and uncles desire to see the three women did become one of the topics discussed once they were back on the road to Vancouver. It was decided that once this project was finished then they would all take the time for a quick visit.
Arriving home Bella wasted no time getting settled in. She quickly unpacked her things and started with doing her dirty laundry from her trip and then started checking her voice messages. She was surprised to hear several messages from Edward.
At first, he was just notifying her that he was in Seattle and wanted to have dinner with her. Then the messages started to get a little more aggressive wanting to know why she wasn't responding to his calls. And lastly, he was demanding an answer from her. All Bella did was laugh about the whole thing since it appears that Edward had forgotten about the date of when she would be returning home from Vancouver.
Bella reached for her phone and gave the hotel a call that Edward had stated in his message of where he was staying. Once the call was answered Bella asked for Edward's room. The phone rang a couple of times before there was an answer.

Edward heard the phone ringing and answered by the second ring, "Hello," he said, wondering who was calling him.
"Edward, I just got in and got all of your messages."
"Bella?" he asked as if in disbelief.
"Yeah. Like I said, I just got home from Vancouver and got your messages. The last few that you left were starting to sound a bit angry. You should have known from Emmett when my part of the filming would be completed."
"I know; sorry. Just missing you and was here in your hometown all alone. Kinda thought that your part might wrap up a bit sooner than everyone expected and that you would be home." He replied with his voice sounding sad. "But now that you're back how about dinner tonight if you're not too tired?"
"I'm not too sure. I've got a lot of things to get in order and some work to do."
"Come on, Bella, you have to eat anyway, so why not have dinner with me? Do you really want to have to cook or eat by your lonely self when you could have a free meal prepared by others and have the delighted company of someone that cares about you?" Edward encouraged, trying to talk her into it while using his sexiest voice. "You know you want to say yes, so come on!" he continued until he finally heard her sigh out a "yes".
"All right, what time? Should I come to your hotel or just meet you some place?" Bella asked before continuing, "But I can't be out too late. I got a lot of work to catch up on."
"I don't believe that will be a problem." Edward responds with a smile being very apparent by the way his voice was sounding.
"Wipe the smile off of your face; I mean what I say, I can't be out late." Bella told him with a sigh.
"How the hell did you know that I was smiling?"
"Don't worry about it. You should be worried about what will happen if I don't get home at a decent hour tonight!" Bella told him.
"Oh, I'm really scared." He laughingly told her.
After a bit more discussion about their date for that evening and it was decided that they would eat dinner in Edward's suite, Bella and Edward hung up.
Bella was busy trying to decide what to wear and how early she could say goodnight to Edward without hurting his feelings. She was really feeling rather tired from finishing up work she had to do on location, then the flight home and the unpacking only to do her laundry along with cleaning her house.
Edward, in the meanwhile, was busy planning how to keep Bella with him and what would be the best way to bring about his conquest of her at last. He checked over the menu and ordered dinner for the two of them to be served at seven. Next, he checked the wine listing and ordered the appropriate wine for their evening. Then lastly, he took the time to order their dessert. He knew that Bella loved her sweets.
Edward had the feeling that tonight was going to be the night. The night that he would be able to get over the pull and the confusion that he was feeling towards Isabella Marie Swan. Then just as quickly as that thought entered Edward's mind it was rapidly followed by the feeling deep within his heart with a sense of emptiness, emptiness along with the feeling of sadness and guilt. He couldn't explain to himself just exactly why he was feeling those things, but at the moment all of those feelings weren't enough to put a stop to his plans for that evening.
Even though Edward was feeling the doubts that he was, he still refused to reconsider the actions he was planning to take that night. Actions that he knew were going to change his life for the better, or so he thought. He didn't even entertain the thought that his action might be for the worst. It never even made it to his conscious mind even though he was feeling some doubts. Isabella Swan would be joining his harem and she would be happy to do so. This was something that he had convinced himself of happening.

Bella got ready for her date that evening with Edward. She was curious as to why he had been so incessant about them meeting for dinner this evening. She had told him that she had just arrived back in town and was feeling rather tired, but he wouldn't take no for an answer. It had to be something special due to the excitement that she had detected in his voice.
As she got to the hotel Bella turned her keys over to the valet and accepted the ticket that he had handed to her. She entered the hotel and walked over to the elevator, entered and rode up to Edward's floor and walked down to his suite number after she had exited the elevator.
She had barely knocked on the door before it was swung open with Edward standing there reaching for her. Once he had a hold of her and had pulled her into the room, he slammed the door at the same time that he had her backed up against the wall and was kissing her with a great deal of passion.
Quickly recovering from the surprise of his attack, Bella gave in to her feelings for this man and raised her arms to wrap them around his neck to pull him closer to her. Each one was engaged with dueling tongues and releasing heavy sighs and feeling the need to try to be closer to each other.
As each one was close to feeling the need for a more personal touch someone knocked on the door and then said, "Room service." That broke the two of them apart quickly.
Edward opened the door after giving Bella a quick peck on her cheek and gave her a chance to move further into the room.
Once the server had plated and served both Edward and Bella, he left the couple to their private dinner and conversation. At least, that was the way he referred to it in his mind after observing the state of the couple in the room. He had bowed slightly at the waist and wished them good dining and an excellent night.
And, Edward, in his mind, was in full agreement with the server.
A/N: Edward has everything planned but is he going to get what he's hoping to get?
The next chapter will answer that question and will bring us back to the first chapter where Bella is standing outside Edward's office.
Thanks for reading and looking forward to hearing from you.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your patience while I've been working through some personal things. I'm hoping that I can get started back on a more regular schedule after this.
