Null And Void

After forming a truce with her sister, Nina would hunt down the man who took the nude photos of her while she was captured. Anna joined her on this endeavor in secret because the same thing happened to her. Their target was Claudio Serafino, the leader of the Sirius Marksmen. By the pinpointing his movement, the sisters managed to find out that he would be in Ethiopia. When they got there, the sisters managed to corner Claudio before he could leave with an unconscious Jin Kazama.

Knowing that her time with the Zaibatsu would be over, Nina went ahead and admitted that she would stop working for Heihachi. Claudio promised no harm would come to Nina even if she quit. Claudio would even delete the photos of both women if they were to let him and Jin leave the church where he was inside before. Of course, Nina and Anna did not agree with that proposal. Nina threatened Claudio to drop Jin down before she would shoot him down. Claudio does so but not before disarming both ladies with his telekinesis ability.

Nina: "Sh*t!"

Anna: "He's trying to escape!"

Anna had another pistol tucked under her dress by the left tight. She almost got him but Claudio got out of harms way as the bullets hit the tough surface of the chopper. Then the chopper started up with the propellers running. Getting their other guns back, the sisters tried to shoot it down, but the tough steel of the chopper prevented such a thing to occur. Claudio got away.

After this, Nina went into a fit, throwing down her gun in disgust. Just like that, Claudio fled away from her again. Anna said nothing. She likely cared less about the photos than Nina did. After all, she did lewd camera footages of herself a lot over the course of the year. Anna was gonna calm Nina down, but then Nina looked at Jin who laid on the ground motionless. What to do about him?

Nina: "Ugh. I guess I have no choice."

Anna: "What are you doing?"

Nina (Picks Jin up.): "I'm taking him with me."

Anna: "You are? For what?'

Nina: "I'm taking Jin to Lars. Maybe he can treat him until he can move on his own."

Anna: "Lars is that man with the funny shape hair right?"

Nina: "You guessed it."

Some noises could be heard from the church behind the sisters…

Nina and Anna (in unison): "What was that?!"

Anna: "I'm gonna take a look."

Nina: "Alright."

Nina would lag behind her sister because she still had Jin over her shoulder. Eventually Anna made it inside the church and looked down from the balcony part of the main shrine. Her eyes widened at the sight of Ling Xiaoyu who laid on the floor unconscious after fighting against a man with long grey hair and some weird tattoos covering his body. She also spotted Alisa Bosconovitch who lay motionless on the ground. By the time Nina made it into the church the fight was already over.

Nina (Whispering.): "Just who is that?"

Anna: "I don't know. I've never seen him before, but you see him with Xiaoyu?"

Nina: "Xiaoyu? Hmmm…now it makes sense."

Anna: "Huh?"

Nina: "Jin must have traveled here to save her from Claudio. Yet it still doesn't explain why that man came and the other girl on the floor right there."

Anna: "Now look." (The man now leaves with both girls over his shoulders.) "He's leaving."

Nina: "It's not our problem. Let's go before this guy wakes up." (Meaning Jin.)

Anna: "Ok." (Shoulder shrugs.)

Back in Nina's chopper…

Anna: "So this is official? You are really going to quit the Zaibatsu?"

Nina: "It was inevitable."

Anna: "So you're just gonna dump your lover boy off to Lars and work with him now?"

Nina: "Maybe. And Jin is not my lover boy."

Anna: "Hah? Then why save him?"

Nina: "I have some questions I want answered. If that were Kazuya back there, would you leave him?"

Anna: "Uhh…well. Depends on my mood!"

Nina: "Tch. So you say."

Anna: "Anyway where are we going?"

Nina: "I'm taking you back to your chopper. I can't have Lars see us together."

Anna: "Ok. But what about Claudio? We can't have him leak our photos."

Nina: "When I can find him again. I will let you know."

Anna (Sighs): "Real encouraging sister. He's gonna stay out of sight after he left fleeing."

Nina: "Only time will tell."

Eventually Nina made it back to Kish Island so Anna could get dropped off and be on her way. After saying their farewells, it would appear that the truce was still on since Claudio did not die by their hands. Though now that Nina unofficially severed ties with the Zaibatsu, she would have to find Lars and his rebel group people quickly. Looking at her phone while having the chopper on auto pilot, Nina could see that Lars was battling Feng Wei in the Philippines. The fight did not start yet, so that gave Nina a chance to send him a text message. Sooner or later he would have to respond.

Phone buzzes…

Nina: "Hmmm?"

Nina Reads Lars's message…

Lars: "Nina? Is that you? I saw your message. Do you really have Jin with you now?"

Nina (Texts back): "Yes. Do you want him or not?"

Lars: "Take him to this location. I should be there by tomorrow."

Nina: "Hmmm…interesting." (Texts.) "It's a bit close to Tokyo, but I'll go. Don't stage me up."

Lars (Messaging back.): "I won't. See you soon."

A military hospital in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan…

Nina was told come here by Lars's instruction. Jin had finally woken up after getting treatment for the burn wound on his chest, along with a few other bruises and scars. He was surprised to know that he was no longer in Ethiopia, and that Nina was asleep on a bench not too far from him. Was it her who found and rescued him? Then he realized that he might have been captured by Nina. He began to panic.

Jin (Thinking.): "Sh*t! I screwed up! That's Nina Williams! She's not working for me anymore but, Heihachi must have commanded her to find me. I gotta get out of here."

Once Jin planted his feet on the floor, the noises of the stretcher bed woke up Nina from her slumber. She quickly got up to confront him before he could reach the door. Jin almost punched Nina before she caught his hand and twisted it in a way where he could not resist her.

Jin: "Why you!"

Nina: "Get a hold of yourself! It's not what you think it is Jin!"

Jin: "Nani?"

Nina: "I'm not taking you to Heihachi. This hospital is not Zaibatsu owned. Your uncle should be here any minute now I guess."

Jin: "Uncle? Wait. Is this Lars's doing?"

Nina (Nodding and letting go of Jin's wrist.): "Yes. I told him about your condition and he said I should send you here until he comes back."

Jin: "I do not understand. Are you with Heihachi or not?"

Nina: "Not anymore. By now he should have gotten word from Claudio."

Jin: "Claudio?"

Nina: "Yes. I assume you were after him because of Xiaoyu? Am I wrong?"

Jin: "So that's his name. And where is she?"

Nina: "Xiaoyu. Someone else took her, but I do not believe he was a friend of Claudio's."

Jin: "You didn't stop him? Damn!" (Getting out of Nina's hand.)

Nina: "Jin!"

Jin angrily opened the door and started to leave. Nina kept following him, telling him to stop walking. That is until he turned the corner down hallway of the elevators is where he collided with his uncle Lars. Lars simply laughed after watching Jin fall down.

Lars: "Hey. We meet again!"

Jin: "Lars?"

Lars: "Why the rush? As soon as we help you, you want to take on the world by yourself huh?"

Jin: "Out of my way!"

Lars: "If you were wondering about Xiaoyu. She's back in China. All safe and sound."

Jin: "Huh?"

Lars: "Your efforts to rescue her were not in vain. Now if you wanna go see her, I have the address to her grandfather's house. However, there is an urgent matter that I have to tell you guys about."

Nina (Approaching.) "Urgent matters?"

Lars: "Right after my match with Feng Wei. I found out that Heihachi has baited Kazuya into fighting him directly. So the tournament will be canceled based on Kazuya's answer to fight Heihachi. For now, we will react based on what Kazuya does."

Nina: "Is that so? Then how long before Kazuya makes a decision?"

Lars: "It should be sometime tonight. I get the feeling Heihachi might be doing this because he doesn't have as much protection like he did before. So if he takes on Kazuya head on, then maybe we can just do nothing and then see who comes out on top."

Nina (Sighs.): "So the old man is going for broke. I must have really pissed him off."

Lars: "Huh?"

Nina: "I decided to no longer work under him."

Lars and even Jin were actually speechless after that statement, until…

Lars: "Well… it's no wonder Heihachi decided to formally challenge Kazuya. I still can't stand the guy, but would rather he win this inevitable bout than Kazuya."

Nina: "It's not my issue now that I walked out. I just need to lay low."

Lars: "Hmmm…that makes sense. Are you gonna need an employer soon?"

Nina: "Don't know yet. I'm good on money for the time being."

Lars: "Well that's fine, take your time in your decision. Jin, you still want that address?"

Jin (Standing up.): "Yeah."

Lars: "Cool, follow me. Nina, I got a room ready for you at the barracks nearby. Just tell the lobbyist downstairs and she will give you directions. I'll see you later."

Nina: "Alright. And thanks."

Lars nodded as he left the hospital hallway with Jin following right behind him. Nina sighed with some relief knowing that perhaps she won't be targeted by the Zaibatsu. At least not so soon. By the time Nina made it to her designated room, she started unpacking her suitcase until a bug chip was found stuck at the lower part of the case. When Nina saw it, she knew who must have planet it there.

Nina: "Edgar you sly dog."

With a smirk on her face, Nina crushed the chip with her bare hand and threw the residue in the trash bin by the door. There was a possibility had Edgar would be on his way here to Japan, but Nina did not really care either way. She was just fortunate to lay low and wait on the news of the upcoming fight between Kazuya and Heihachi.
