Disbelief
Tekken Rebel Force Main Camp, Tokyo Harbor, Tokyo Japan…
Rebel Soldier: "Right this way Ms. Williams."
Nina followed the captain of the Rebel Soldiers who escorted her towards the tent that was heavily guarded for the top prisoners of war at the Rebel camp. It was rather homely despite being something like a prison tent. Nina just sat there in the only chair available inside. She was still worn out from carrying Shaheen who was injured at the Central Tower of the Mishima HQ. Shaheen was taken separately for medical treatment and would later be interrogated to find out what happened at the headquarters. This was the only reason Nina even allowed herself to be captured, so that man could get medical help, and she could save her energy.
Nighttime…
Many hours went by going into the night. As most of the news spread throughout camp that the missiles on Ito Island were stopped by Anna Williams of all people, the Rebels celebrated at the camp with joy. Nina was unaware of this part of the news, for she eventually fell asleep, due to boredom. Nina's ally, Edgar Grant, was also present in the camp about an hour after her arrest. Yet, he was still free. It was at that point, during the celebration time, that he had overheard soldiers mentioning Nina being under arrest by them.
Edgar: "Nina is where?"
Edgar had to intervene on the conversation of the soldiers. It was true. Nina turned herself in over to the Rebels. Edgar could not believe it. He told Steve that he wanted to go out and use the bathroom. Steve acknowledged as Edgar left the mess hall where the big party was taking place. Edgar was carrying some walky talkies on the side of his left leg. They were still in good condition, so he was sure that Nina could hear his voice if she was inside that tent. Sure enough, the rumors were true. Nina was being guarded by two soldiers at the front of her prison tent. No one was present in the backside. Edgar could slide the walky talkie underneath and then find a place to hide.
Edgar (Turns on his walky talkie): "Nina! Nina! Do you read?"
Nina (opens her eyes due to the noise under her bed.): "Hmmmm…mmmm." (Yawns.) "What?"
Edgar: "Nina! It's me! Edgar!"
Nina (Picks up the walky talike): "Edgar?"
Edgar: "Nina? Thank goodness. Are you alright dear?"
Nina: "I'm fine. But how did you find me?"
Edgar: "I was invited to the Rebel camp, but they don't know about me coming to Tokyo with you. So I am still in the clear. A better question would be is…why are you under their watchful eyes?"
Nina: "I got tired from saving a guy. There was a wounded man at the top of the Central Tower building. I didn't want to leave him unattended to."
Edgar: "Where is he now?"
Nina: "Getting medical treatment by the rebels."
Edgar: "You must like this guy a lot."
Nina: "No. It just didn't make sense to leave him on top of a 71 story tower."
Edgar: "I get it. I get it. Soooo…when do you plan to stop playing prisoner?"
Nina: "Maybe tomorrow, or did you want to rescue me now?"
Edgar: "I could, but my tail would be busted instead. I have had enough trouble for one day."
Nina: "Hmph." (Chuckles.) "So anything else?"
Edgar: "Do you want to know who I found out saved all of us from utter destruction?"
Nina: "Are you talking about the missiles?"
Edgar: "Yes. This answer might make you real angry, but try to control yourself please."
Nina: "What do you mean?"
Edgar: "Well…it turns out. The person who went to Ito Island and deactivated the missiles was none other than your sister, Anna."
Nina (Rising up from her bed bunk.): "Whhhaaaattt?!"
Outside Guard: "Hey! What's the problem in there?"
Nina: "Shit!"
Outside Guard (Peeps in with his machine gun pointing at Nina.): "Why did you shout?"
Nina: "It's nothing. Just a bad dream!" (Sitting under the walky talkie under her butt.)
Outside Guard: "Hmph." (Goes back out.)
Nina (Sighs): "Silly mistake."
Edgar (from the walky talkie): "Nina? Nina?"
Nina: "Ssssshhhh! Look, I'm sorry. But are you kidding me? Anna disabled this missiles?"
Edgar: "Well…I told you not to overreact."
Nina: "There's no way she could have done it by herself. Did Lars help her?"
Edgar: "No, but I'm sure someone close to him did."
Nina: "Just unbelievable." (Sighs.) "Look…you need to go before these soldiers try to barge in this tent again. I'll getting out of here tomorrow, with our without Lars' permission."
Edgar: "Copy that. Just don't leave without me knowing."
Nina: "Fine. Then I'll keep this device and buzz you."
Edgar: "Copy. Over and out."
Nina still couldn't shake the thought of her sister "saving the world". It didn't even sound right! How did she talk to Lars about the missiles to begin with? Nina still didn't want to talk with Lars, but she had to know why did Anna agree to save the planet? Was she paid to do it? Or something else? And the Middle Eastern Man. Would he be alright with his injuries? Nina agreed to not escape until these questions were answered.
The next day…
Nina woke up again from another sleep, and realized that it was almost midday already, but in no time, a female rebel guard told her to leave the tent with her weapon drawn at her right when Nina was yawning. Nina gave her a nasty look but cooperated nonetheless. As they walked outside, Nina was getting heckled left and right by the Rebel Soldiers who were beginning to clean out the temporary base. Some remarks Nina got were compliments while others were full of ill content because she was an old Zaibatsu mercenary.
Finally, Nina and the female rebel soldier made it to the main tent where Lars was wrapping up a meeting with UN ambassadors through an online conference call. From there, he told Nina to sit down from across the large table where they could face each other. The conversation began with a light hearted welcome from Lars himself.
Lars: "Nina Williams. You are doing well for yourself."
Nina: "I try too."
Lars: "Yeah. I trust my guard didn't mistreat you badly did they?"
Nina: "No. I've gotten worse treatment."
Lars: "That's good." (Nodding.) "So, tell me why you are really here then? Someone of your skills couldn't have surrendered so easily to us. What's your ulterior movie?"
Nina: "Well…the only reason I surrendered was because of that Middle Eastern man who was injured back at the Central Zaibatsu HQ. I don't know him but I could not leave him alone like that."
Lars: "I see. That man is named Shaheen. My sources tell me he was the bodyguard for an oil reserve chief executive officer. Kazuya Mishima had him killer about a year ago. So maybe that's why he was there yesterday go settle the score with him."
Nina: "And what of Kazuya? Where is he now?"
Lars: "G Corp still has him I'm sure. But, are you aware of the crimes the UN has placed upon you?"
Nina: "No I don't."
Lars: "Do you even want to know about them?"
Nina: "Of course not. I have been on the run for most of my life. Why give a damn now?"
Lars (Sigh.): "I figured you would say that. Well before I send you to America, you should know this. The very person who saved us all from the nuclear missiles was…"
Nina: "I know! It was Anna. I heard about it before I came to speak with you."
Lars: "And you are not upset?"
Nina: "Oh you better believe it."
Loud noises of a car coming closer with gunfire drawn could be heard outside…
Lars: "What the?"
Rebel Guard: "Commander! We're under…ggaaaahhh!"
From the jeep outside was Edgar Grant who stole a mechanical drone machine gun used it to shoot down opposing Rebel Guards! He shouted Nina's name to alert her!
Edgar: "Nina! Nina! Time to go!"
Nina (To Lars winking.): "Date's over love."
Lars had to duck for cover due to the erratic gunfire coming from the jeep outside. Edgar made sure to not hit Nina as she back pedaled the rolling chair she was sitting in. From there she got back on her feet to run and then jumped into the jeep with Edgar Grant. Edgar then drove away before the other Rebel soldiers could give chase. Nina was certainly surprised by this turn of events.
Nina: "How did you find me?"
Edgar: "I just followed the chants of your name by the guards and then I stole the keys to this bad ass jeep right here! Better hang on tight!"
In due time, Edgar and Nina managed to break out of the Rebel Camp once they left the harbor gates. Now they were in the clear. After about fifteen more minutes of driving. Edgar stopped the jeep at a safe distance nearby by a shopping center at the Shibuya district of Tokyo. Then he helped Nina out of the cuffs that was holding her wrists very tightly. After that Nina gave Edgar thanks.
Nina: "Again. I appreciate the effort."
Edgar: "Oh it was nothing. I knew you wanted to do it yourself, but I thought I would lend you a helping hand."
Nina (Sigh): "So it's over, for now I guess."
Edgar: "What? The Zaibatsu? Oh yeah. Definitely finished."
Nina: "And yet Kazuya still lives."
Edgar: "Hold on, you're not planning to kill him are you?"
Nina: "No. I have no clients right now to do that."
Edgar: "So you're just gonna wait until someone asks you to kill him or somebody else?"
Nina: "Maybe so."
Edgar: "Your sister might try to find you too."
Nina: "Good enough for me. Now can we get back to our chopper?"
Edgar: "Oh right. It should be up ahead."
With that said, Edgar left the shopping center going back to where they left the chopper. They had completely left Leo and Steve behind back at Lars's camp. Though neither fighter was really surprised by their actions once they found out about the breakout. Some of their belongings were in that chopper too, but Nina told Edgar not to try and return the goods because it was too risky to enter the airspace of the Tokyo Harbor.
Edgar: "So where to now?"
Nina: "Let's go to South America. I need to clear my mind for a bit and relax."
Edgar: "Alright could you be more specific please?"
Nina: "Argentina."
Edgar: "Ok. We should have enough fuel to make it there."
