Hey guys! To have you back again! This will finally be the chapter where Young Justice finally meets the Z-Fighters. But before you read this chapter, remember these are my own versions of the DC characters of the Young Justice Universe. Their level of power and abilities will be changed in this story to suit it. I've read some comics myself and have seen many inconsistencies with not just characters like Superman but Goku as well. Seriously, the fact Goku was scratched by a bullet in 'Super' really irks me. I know he had his guard down, but come on! It's been shown he can raise his power level instantly! He's easily far faster than bullets in base form alone! Anyway, that's the reason the Justice League powerhouses are said to be on Vegeta and Goku's level, but you guys won't be seeing guys like Batman even beat Videl unless he has his legendary prep time.
But in all honesty, I used to also believe Superman was only Saiyan Saga level at best for years, until I watched Seth the Programmer Goku vs Superman | The Honest Truth on Youtube. Showing the feats of Post Crisis Superman that opened my eyes. Also, check out a guy named WebCamParrot on Youtube, he does really well on giving out how strong Superman really is, specifically the Post-Crisis variant.

Young Justice Cave
The Team had come from their respective homes, or rooms in the cave to hang out as a refresher from their latest mission dealing with the Tornado family. Their former android superhero caretaker had his program overwritten and was reunited with his other Android siblings who tried to erupt the Yellowstone volcano, Mt. Saint Helens.
Luckily, they had come and taken down the threat before it could have become catastrophic. With the help of their new could-be teammate, a magic user named Zatanna, they were able to defeat them.
Right now, they were just being normal teenagers. Megan had started to bake some cookies as she hummed a little tune. Wally was eating chips while watching television with Richard. Kaldur was helping Megan bake the cookies with Megan's telekinesis coming in handy as she willed the ingredients to float to him to sort. Artemis sharpened her arrowheads with a whetstone, and Superboy leaned against a wall.
While the television was playing Wally switched channels, his attention span was as short as he was fast. His quick eyes saw the headline and he stopped to pay attention, the others listening as well.
The news headline read, "Vigilantes of The Big Apple."
The new anchor went on to say, "Recently in this past month two vigilantes going by Crane and Horizon have appeared in New York City, in the time of their debut, which seems to go back as early as mid-early September, they've managed to stop Bane and Poison Ivy, and other criminals. These are the thoughts on the 'heroes' of New York."
A woman with tattooed arms, and a short-sleeved jacket appeared on the screen, "These two seem to be doing way more than the cops have ever done, catching criminals and super criminals. They're heroes through and through."
Another citizen, this time a man in a formal suit came on screen commented, "I think the Justice League may have to step in, there are enough heroes and villains fighting in the other cities as there are, and now they're in New York."
Another woman came on screen holding a toddler in her arms, "I like what Crane and Horizon are doing, but all that damage to the streets could have been worse. Imagine if there was someone in the way of the vans. Someone could have seriously been hurt or even killed, it's especially worse in a place like New York City."
Artemis looked up from her grinding as she listened, "You know? I honestly think those two are heroes in my book."
Richard chimed in, "Yeah, though Batman thinks they may be villains in disguise."
"Please, if they are undercover villains, the league will handle them, heck I bet we could handle them," Wally boasted with a mouthful of chips.
"If what Batman thinks is true then we should be cautious if we ever encounter these new heroes." Aqualad advised.
Connor glanced at the headline, voicing his own thoughts, "I think they're trying the best they can. They're only two of them against many after all."
Megan nodded in agreement with Connor, then went back to her baking.
After a minute of silence, the team heard the teleporter come online, "Recognized Batman 02."
They walked out of the lounge area, all coming towards Batman in the mission room with attentive expressions, though Megan had a slight frown as her baking was interrupted. Wally tried to cheer her up, and flirted, as he put an arm around her shoulder, "Don't worry Megan, maybe when we get back, I can help make the cookies, put a bit more speed in the process."
Artemis pulled him off her with irritation, "C'mon, Wally, get your head out of the gutter and be serious for once," Artemis said, causing Wally to stay silent. Though, he still glared at Artemis as they walked while Richard chuckled into his hand.
Standing in front of Batman they waited as he gave the information on their next mission, "Team, you've most likely heard of New York's two new vigilantes. Green Lantern and I went to New York, but we were only able to find strange traces of ki energy, and several dealers left behind by them."
Richard looked surprised, "Wait, ki energy? As in, life energy?"
Batman nodded, "Yes, somehow Crane and Horizon have managed to focus their life energy in such a way it gives them powers. They seem to have powers such as flight, super strength, speed, durability, endurance, and a form of energy projection. I've managed to trace where they come and go by security cameras, satellite imagery, and cross referencing. Tonight, you'll prepare for the mission. You'll be reconnaissance for the League on these new vigilantes, and you will fight Crane and Horizon only if you are attacked."
They all nodded. Going back into the cave they gathered their gear. Some went quicker than others. Wally zipped to his suit and put it on in less than a second, Megan simply morphed her clothes, and Connor was already wearing his superhero attire. It took only a couple minutes for Richard and Kaldur to come out in their Robin and Aqualad uniforms.
Wolf and Sphere saw them leaving and moved toward them, but Superboy waved them off, "Don't worry, there's only two of them. Just stay here, and make sure to keep other company, okay?" To this, Wolf barked in agreement while Sphere rolled around in discomfort.
Superboy walked up to Sphere and put a hand on its metallic shell. "I'll be back, Sphere. I promise."
Megan also saw Sphere's discomfort and came up to hug it, "We promise Sphere," said Megan, making Superboy look at Megan with a smile, causing her to blush.
Going inside the Bio-Ship, the team quickly lifted out of the cave and soared through the air as fast as a fighter jet. It quickly camouflaged itself. Miss Martian piloted the Martian vessel, as she was the most experienced.
Meanwhile, Kid Flash was starting to talk to Robin who looked deep in thought 'Crane and Horizon can manipulate their ki to gain powers? I wonder if I could–'
"So, this life energy stuff, what's that?" Wally said, interrupting his thoughts.
"Huh? Oh yeah, life energy, aura, chi, or ki is said to be the well, the life energy of living things. Everything that's alive has it. Though I never knew someone could use it like Crane and Horizon."
Kid Flash raised a brow, "What do you mean?"
Robin went on to explain, "What I mean is how are they able to use their ki in such a way it gives them powers? Sure, there have been tales of martial artist monks in Asian cultures able to punch through concrete and even fly, but not on the levels of Crane and Horizon."
"Maybe they're just using some high-tech equipment we're not seeing to power themselves?" Wally theorized.
"Yeah, maybe?" Robin said with a thoughtful gaze.
After several minutes of high-speed flight, they quickly lowered their altitude. Coming below the clouds they saw the City of New York. The Bio-Ship lowered until it hovered above a tall building. Then it's bottom shifted into a hole the team jumped out of.
Landing on top of the building, Robin pulled up his left arm, bringing up a holographic projector showing the location of the vigilante's base that Batman had found. Aqualad looked at Robin, "Do you know their location?"
"Yeah, they're in a warehouse in one of New York's Harbors," Rob answered.
Aqualad nodded and gave his orders, "Alright Team, we'll separate into groups and surround the warehouse. Robin and Artemis, you two will be a distance away to support us with ranged attacks. Kid Flash, Superboy, and Miss Martian, you three will come the closest to the warehouse. If Miss Martian is attacked, you two make sure to defend her as she reads their minds. I will swim near the harbor and use the water to attack them if necessary."
At this they all nodded, and Miss Martian opened their telepathic link for further communication.
They all quickly moved from the building and came down to the smaller ones, traversing across the rooftops as they approached the harbor.
New York Warehouse
Videl tried with all her might to hit Vegeta, but her punches hit nothing but air. Tien was simply watching her 'spar' with Vegeta, giving her advice as she struggled. They were training in fifteen times earth's gravity, and while it left her exhausted, her will to hit the Prince was stronger.
To Tien and Vegeta, the gravity was nothing, but Videl was still getting used to it. Luckily, as Tien said, she was starting to get used to higher gravities faster as her ki rose.
As they were sparring, they all stopped, sensing six power levels coming towards. Some of them felt alien, while others felt human. Videl looked towards them both, "Do you think it's the Justice League, maybe villains?"
Tien shook his head, "No, the energies don't feel like they have evil intent."
Vegeta scoffed, "Whoever they are, they're power levels are below your own and mine, the girl will take the two weakest ones. I'll take on the three moving faster than the other–"
"No!" Videl interrupted, "I'll take on the three coming towards us, you can take on whoever else is coming."
Vegeta looked over at Videl with a brow raised, an amused smile coming onto his face, "Oh, so the buffoon's daughter wishes to prove herself, well why not. Don't come screaming for help when you're down, but don't worry I hear these heroes have a no killing rule."
Vegeta then walked into the room where they kept their new clothes while Videl seethed. Suddenly, the pressure from the gravity chamber ceased.
Videl looked at the controls to see Tien had powered down the gravity. He looked at her with an expression of familiarity, "Don't worry Videl, he acts like an ass at first, but over time he'll become a slightly friendlier ass."
Videl gave a grateful nod towards him.
They later all quickly walked out of the gravity chamber with their black clothes on. Tien walked to a certain spot on the outside of it and pressed a button. The chamber vanished in a puff of smoke, appearing on the ground as a capsule that Tien put in his pocket.
They flew out of the warehouse through the roof, stretching their senses, they felt that the energies were only a few hundred feet from their position. Tien came near the harbor's water sensing that someone was in it. He looked closely at the water and came to the decision to dive into it. Swimming at incredible speeds he came face to face with a young Atlantean.
Vegeta casually blitzed over to Artemis and Robin, his speed making it seem like he appeared from thin air. Making Artemis and Robin jump, but before either could register his movements, he grabbed Artemis's throat and held her off the ground, a smirk practically screaming from behind his mask.
Robin raised his hands as a sign of surrender, "Wait! We're not here to fight!"
Vegeta looked at him with dull eyes. "Like I care, you too will barely be a warmup, but I need to stretch my muscles."
Artemis grabbed one of her arrows and stabbed it against Vegeta's back, but it simply broke against his skin. In support Robin quickly tossed his batarangs at him, but to Vegeta they were moving in slow motion, and he caught them with ease.
Vegeta blinked as they started beeping, releasing a small explosion, surprising him enough to let go of Artemis who telepathically told the others to engage.
Videl floated over to Kid Flash, Superboy, and Miss Martian. The three stopped and their eyes widened, they glanced at each other, but didn't say a word. Videl shifted into a stance, 'Telepathy?' she thought.
It wasn't out of the question, Tien told her that he and Vegeta could talk telepathically, hell King Kai had spoken to the minds of the entire Earth when Goku needed his energy for the Spirit Bomb. Suddenly the one with the lightning bolt on his chest zoomed towards her, she barely managed to dodge his blow before the other boy with Superman's symbol jumped at her with a roar.
She flew upwards before he could grab her and shot a ki blast at his back sending him into the ground. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed floating crates rocket towards her, she dodged most of them, but suddenly the boy she now recognized as Kid Flash with black instead of yellow raced towards her again.
This time she couldn't dodge, and he rammed into her, pushing themselves through a warehouse's walls. They both rolled across the ground. She was on her feet again but kneeled as her mind was seemingly being bombarded with pain. With effort she looked up to see Miss Martian coming through the busted wall, hovering over her.
She raised her hand and fired a ki wave, but the pain threw off her aim and her power.
The force of the blast hit Miss Martian's shoulder, and the heat from the blast damaged her Martian biology, causing her to wither on the ground in pain, and unknowingly stopping their group telepathy.
"No!" Turning to the voice Videl saw the Fastest Boy Alive rush at her. He threw numerous punches that moved at dozens of times Mach speeds right into her body, but they were incredibly sloppy which allowed her to dodge a handful of them.
Feeling his speed firsthand Videl decided to attack at a distance. She flew up and shot ki blasts that he raced around, until she shot one that landed in front of him. The ground ruptured and Kid Flash, not noticing the ground as he ran, tripped over it and hit himself against a metal support beam at incredible speeds. Knocking him unconscious.
Catching her breath, she didn't sense Superboy until he crashed through the roof of the warehouse and punched her into the ground hard enough to create a crater, shaking the ground with a boom. Getting up, she wiped the blood from her mouth and shook the dizziness from her head. This guy was strong, stronger than her, but it seemed he didn't have the same level of speed or range she did.
Floating several feet off the ground she watched his face morph into a scowl.
"What's wrong, big guy, can't fly like big blue?" Videl let out. His scowl deepened, confirming her question.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Videl taunted as she made a come-get-me motion, and the Boy of Steel obliged.
Tien on the other hand was having a much easier time. He recognized the young Atlantean as Aqualad. Aqualad looked surprised seeing his position compromised so soon but calmed himself. Using his water-bearers he swam forward at full speed, the water pushing against his body as if he were a torpedo. Creating a sword he slashed at Tien, while creating a shield for defense.
Tien dodged his swings, then softly punched his shield making him shoot through the water. He released a kaia wave, hitting Aqualad and accelerating him so fast he shot out of the water and onto the harbor, kneeling before he could use his home field as an advantage.
Tien flew out of the water where Aqualad landed, but before he attacked, he asked, "Why are you here?"
Aqualad sheathed his water-bearers and brought his hands in a motion of surrender, "Please, we were only sent here to monitor, not fight. it was your friend who engaged us first."
Tien sighed, "Dammit Vegeta. Come with me, I'll get my team, you get your team."
Aqualad nodded, "Agreed."
Tien and Aqualad moved to stop Videl first, sensing she was closest, and the most injured. Not wanting to waste time, he flew through the warehouse's walls. They both came to the sight of Videl fighting Superboy with her more experienced fighting style whilst he sent wild haymakers. After extending himself too far she grabbed his arm and threw him over her head.
Superboy landed in a crouch and stood up for more but was stopped. "Superboy! Stand down!" shouted Aqualad, but he wasn't happy to hear those orders.
"What?! She hurt Miss Martian and Kid Flash! I can take her!" Superboy shouted.
Aqualad looked over to indeed see them both sprawled on the ground, but they had to stop before anyone else was injured, "Please Superboy, get Miss Martian and Kid Flash out of here, they'll recover."
Superboy grunted, as he tensely walked past Videl with a glare she gladly returned. Picking up Kid and Miss Martian he leaped through the warehouse rooftop back to the.
Quickly thinking of Robin and Artemis, Aqualad now ran outside the warehouse and towards his remaining allies as Tien and Videl followed behind.
Vegeta was bored, he was barely tapping Robin and Artemis, but his blows sent them reeling. They were both well trained, he could tell. The young boy called Robin showed great promise. To Robin and Artemis, the speed behind his attacks were insane, but to Vegeta he might as well have been moving in slow motion. Their gadgets impressed him as well. The girl attempted to trap him in hard foam with one of her strange arrows, while the boy threw gas pellets releasing a knockout gas.
Vegeta broke through the foam and simply dispelled the gas by expanding his ki, blowing it away. Sensing Tien and Videl coming his way with one of the other energies he knew what most likely happened. Vegeta stood straight up and crossed his arms, now ignoring the two young heroes.
Seeing his relaxed position, Artemis and Robin glanced at each other in confusion, but neither let go of their respective weapons. "Hey, we're in the middle of a fight!"
Vegeta calmly shook, "No, it seems our 'battle' is over."
"What are you talking about?" said Robin. Hearing footsteps, they looked in the direction of the noise to see Aqualad with Crane walking behind him,
"Robin, Artemis stand down, they are not our enemies," Aqualad said.
Though, Artemis didn't take her eyes off Vegeta from caution, but slowly put away her bow and arrows.
Aqualad looked towards Crane and Horizon. "Please, come with us. The Justice League is cautious of you, but you've shown that you can be trusted, and maybe a good ally." Tien looked at Aqualad, then turned to Vegeta. The prince and the Crane Master looked at each other and nodded.
The day Vegeta arrived the two had a talk about this world's heroes.
Day of Vegeta's Arrival - Flashback
Landing in the warehouse Videl went inside the gravity chamber to sleep. Vegeta and Tien however stayed outside. Tien looked at Vegeta, "Never thought I'd say this to you Vegeta, but it's good to see an old face."
Vegeta smirked. "Same here, so what's been going on since my time off this Earth?" Vegeta questioned.
"So far, I've been training Videl and learning about this world. For one thing this Earth's government is much more intolerant towards super powered individuals, and it seems that some of these heroes and villains might be able to take even you on, but if we're going to stay here for a while then we need to make allies. It's because we worked together that we defeated Majin Buu and the others before him after all," Tien explained.
Vegeta sighed; Tien was right. It was because of his allies he managed to defeat Majin Buu, Cell, and Frieza.
"Fine, but if they want a fight then I'll gladly oblige," Vegeta said with a smirk.
Present
"We'll come with you," said Tien.
Aqualad touched the comm in his ear, "Aqualad to Batman. We finished our mission, but not in the way you were expecting, and we have new arrivals." On the other line Batman lifted a brow.
"All right, come back to the cave." At the confirmation, Aqualad turned down his comms. Looking towards the three he made a motion to follow him with Robin and Artemis.
They soon made it to the Bio-Ship and allowed the three to enter.
"No thanks, we can follow you on our own," Vegeta denied.
Walking into the cave, Aqualad, Robin, and Artemis looked to see Superboy helping Kid Flash who had awoken thanks to his enhanced healing. Miss Martian still laid unconscious, but her own healing abilities were helping as she seemed to be quickly coming around.
They quickly flew away from New York City, tailed by the three Z-Fighters.
Arriving in the cave Superboy quickly moved Miss Martian to the medical room. While the new arrivals simply observed their surroundings.
"Huh, not bad," said Videl as she looked around the cave. Their observation ceased as the teleporter near them lit up, and out walked the Dark Knight.
"Team, get some rest," Batman ordered the team, who gladly followed his orders.
Finally, looking towards the three he demanded, "Come with me," then Batman walked through the teleporter.
The three followed him, but Tien stopped Videl, "Stay here Videl, if anything happens, I'll make sure to send you a message telepathically so you can escape." To which Videl nodded.
Walking with Batman into the teleporter Vegeta and Tien were transported to The Watchtower.
Batman looked over his shoulder at them. "Follow me," and walked to where the other Leaguers were in their meeting. Tien and Vegeta followed, using their senses to stay on their guard. Meanwhile... back at the cave.
Videl looked around to see Robin and Artemis glaring right at her, while Aqualad looked between the three of them and let down his head, sighing.
Videl contemplated how she was going to introduce herself, 'What would Gohan do?' finally she came to her decision.
Raising her hand awkwardly she responded, "... Uh, nice to meet you."

*Gasp* Cliffhanger! Yeah, sorry about that, but you gotta make tension somehow. Hope you liked the chapter. Sorry for it to take so long, I got a little writer's block. Also if you guys are reading this make sure to read the *PLEASE READ* at the top.
I've been reading fan fictions for years and I have read numerous DC and DBZ crossovers, in most of them the characters are either equal or so weak compared to DBZ it doesn't matter if a DC hero does anything.
