Chapter Seven

A/N: I do not own anything other than my OCs when they come out to play. Everything else belongs to Disney or the Greek Myths or LotusQuil in the case of Rea. They created her, I just play with her! :D

Hey guys, so sorry about the slight delay in updating here! Unfortunately work just wore me out this past week so writing took longer than I thought! Hopefully that won't be a recurring thing but with my line of work, uncertainty is often in the air (though thankfully not with my employment—that is still strong :D)

Holy cats you guys, can you believe we're nine reviews away from 100? Thank you guys so much for your constant support here! It means the world to me! :D

Katt Kiki: Yep, the crew found out!

Marcus Emrys: Yeah Jay would probably be all of us if we got similar news. It's definitely shocking, that's for sure!

AmethystDragon14: Yay! :D Yep Uma knows now and honestly I couldn't imagine it any other way than Uma just walking in with a 'what's up with you' rather than a 'hello'. And lets be honest, Huma may have only been out for a few years but they've been together forever. Oh man that would have been a great line to have!

Guest: Oh thank you!

OceanBlueSeaEyes: Oh man, could you imagine having both Mim and Yzma as grandmothers (granted Mim's a great grandmother but still). Hopefully Kronk can visit the Isle to make sure he's okay and yeah, he's definitely got a good soul.

twilightgirl587: Hey, it's been a few years and Harry's grown up (plus now he doesn't have to worry about Gil possibly being into Uma and Uma returning the affection). Zevon is magic but in Choosing Love Akiho made a crack about how Zevon's name sounds like a brand of detergent and now it's been a running joke. Right, they haven't told Geene who her bio father was but Gia did tell the 'adults' aka Ben, Mal, Uma, Harry, and Jay (and adults is in quotations because there can always be adultier adults).

danifan3000: If that's the case then Zevon is in need of therapy. And fast because man, that's Gaston levels of weird!

Anonymous Reader: Oh I'm so glad you liked it!

IWantColouredRain: There'll be a villain at some point, promise!

Hope you guys enjoy this chapter! Let me know what you think! :D

Uma chuckled as she and Harry walked through the Isle. They'd been sent by Mal to deliver a care package to the hospital on the Isle—some of the workers there would deliver it to Maddy and Zevon, or more importantly their new baby.

Gods, I can't believe Zevon had a kid, Uma thought as she shook her head. Well actually I can but maybe I just don't want to believe it. Because that would mean thinking about Zevon doing certain activities that will just make me ask Mal to invent brain bleach.

She was thankful that she wouldn't have to go anywhere near Zevon or Maddy—though running one of them through with her sword was always tempting, Uma wasn't going to leave a child parentless.

Even if that parent was as horrid as Zevon or Maddy would be.

"How long has it been since we saw the old clubhouse?" Uma asked as she and Harry made their way down the Isle streets, their feet taking them through a well familiar path.

"I was just going to ask that actually cap'n," Harry said with a small chuckle. "Though I'm sure that Henry's kept our clubhouse well protected or at least he did when he was on the Isle."

"Harry, no one but you, me, Mal, and Jay knew where the clubhouse was."

"…you may have a point there." Harry said as Uma shook her head slightly. The two of them made their way to their old clubhouse, Uma smiling as she opened the gate with the old falling rocks sign.

"You know Mal asked if she could tell Rea where the clubhouse was?" Uma asked as they made their way up the stairs.

"Why would she need to do that? Isn't the lass like three?"

"Well yes but Uncle Hades wants to bring her when she's older so that she gets a sense of the Isle. Plus he'll need someone to help out at the restaurant while he's doing the Underworld work so Rea probably won't see the Isle until she's in her teens."

"So why's Mal worrying about it now? She's got plenty of time."

Uma shrugged. "Probably wants to do it while it's on her mind. Other than that, I'm not entirely sure as to why Mali would worry about it when Rea's three."

"If Rea knows, we should probably let Hadie know too," Harry said. "Otherwise, it's looking like we're favoring the lass over the little Lord."

"You know he hates it when you call him that, right?"

"Why do you think I said it when he wasn't around to hear it?"

Uma chuckled and shook her head, smiling as she turned the corner to see their clubhouse in all its glory. It was a welcomed sight after being in the hospital, and seeing Zevon and Maddy's kid.

"That poor kid…" Uma whispered as she and Harry stood in front of the window that allowed them access to view the new additions to the Isle. "If I didn't know the uproar it would cause…I almost want to kidnap him."

He's got Harry's hair too, Uma thought as wisps of black hair poked out of the hat the hospital had given Matt. And I'm a Godling with a father who has friends on the other side. Who's to say if I'd show signs of pregnancy anyway?

She wasn't one hundred percent sure she wanted kids—her job would keep her away from them too long. Growing up on the Isle taught her that kids deserved to be with their parents and vice versa.

But what Uma did know was that the child in front of her deserved more than a future where Zevon would be his father and Maddy his mother.

"And I'd help you with that cap'n," Harry whispered back, pulling Uma out of her thoughts. "If it wouldn't cause extra stress for Mal. What with her…condition and all."

Uma looked over and gave him a small smile. "I know…and as strange as this might sound for me to say…at least the kid has Yzla. She's sensible enough that she'll make sure the kid has a fighting chance. If all this kid has are the two whackos he'll have to call parents…trust me, he'd be gone by now."

Harry gently rubbed her back as the two of them looked at Matt. "I can't help but feel bad for the lad though," he whispered. "It's not like there's that many kids on the Isle anymore. He'll be lonely…"

"I know," Uma said with a sigh. "And it's kinda cruel to wish that…I don't know, one of the LeGume girls would give birth just so he'd have some company," Uma said with a sigh.

"Cap'n, didn't Gil get all his sisters off the Isle? Well all but Locklyn and if she's giving birth, that'll mean that the lad here has a brother or sister since I'm sure Zevon had Idiots Two and Three turned into a flea by now…"

"While that would be good for him, don't put that image in my head, Harry! The world has enough Zevon in it!"

Harry nodded. "Aye cap'n….hey, how about we go check out the old clubhouse? Get that image out of your head?"

"Gladly," Uma nodded as she let him lead her out of the hospital. Harry couldn't help but smile slightly as they walked out, feeling the press of a small box in his jacket pocket.

Yeah…I definitely picked the right time to ask this question, he thought. He had seen the slight smile on Uma's face as she looked at Matt—what could he say? Spawns of their enemies made for cute kids, Harry still remembered how Uma would coo over Ari and Paige though she would always deny it.

Oh not that she liked Ari or Paige. Just that she cooed.

She'd make a good mom, he thought. If she wanted kids that is, but she'd never have them without the promise of security…which is what I want to offer her. The security that even as she sails around the kingdom, I'll be here keeping the crew safe on land.

"Harry!"

"Aye cap'n?" Harry called and narrowly caught a sword that'd been tossed to him.

Uma chuckled. "And here I was the one taking a trip down memory lane. You think you can handle sparring me in our old stomping grounds or do you think you've lost a step?"

"Excuse me? Who was it who taught you how to use a sword Uma?"

"And who's beaten you every time we've sparred since then Harry?"

Harry shook his head and unsheathed his sword. Bending down, he swiftly pulled a small bouquet of blue daisies out of his jacket and secured them to the hilt of his sword before unsheathing it.

Even if sparring during a proposal wasn't the most romantic thing in the world, Uma deserved some romance—and Harry would give it to her.

The spar started and thankfully Uma never noticed the flowers on Harry's hilt; both of them too focused on the next move the other would make. Being around each other for as long as they had, it was almost as if they could read the other's mind.

"Hey cap'n?" Harry asked about two hours into the spar.

"Yeah Harry?"

"It seems we're evenly matched so how about a wager?"

Uma chuckled. He wasn't joking about that; each lunge, parry, and attack had been met as if it was almost expected. Then again, they'd been sparring each for as long as Uma could remember so it'd make sense they'd know each other's sparring style by now. "Wasn't it a wager that made it so you'd be my First Mate, Harry? You know Mal still maintains you threw that race."

"Yes well, Mal's poor beliefs aside, how bout it?"

"Alright, I'll bite. What's the wager?"

"Loser of this match marries the winner?"

Uma blinked in shock. That definitely hadn't been what she'd been expecting Harry to come up with in terms of a wager. "Harry, what are you talking…?"

Harry took a steady breath as he dropped to one knee and pulled the box out of his pocket. It was a box that held something that Lord Hades, Lady Steph, and Mal had been key parts in selecting. Hadie had even offered his two cents but once he found out it was proposal talk, he made himself scarce.

"I might not be the most romantic person in the world, cap'n," Harry said as he opened the box. "But I mean this. You're my captain, I'll follow you anywhere. Marry me?"

He watched as Uma's jaw dropped and he braced for the rejection. Or worse the laughter at Harry's presumption that Uma would even want to marry him. That their whole relationship had just been something for Uma to find someone better.

"How can there be a loser of this spar?" Uma asked as she looked at Harry. "We're a team, you and me. I might not be the biggest in terms of the 'touchy-feely' stuff Harry but I know this. I love you. When Mal and Jay were sent to Auradon, it was you and me as a team. And that's how it'll always be. Of course I'll marry you!"

"…wait, what?"

Uma rolled her eyes. "And here I thought Macaria was exaggerating when she told Mal and me that had been Gil's reaction when she accepted his proposal way back when. Did I start speaking Greek, Harry? Or maybe you think dad's gone and taught me a bit of French since Bayou de Orleans has a high number of French speaking residents?"

"I…you'll really marry me?"

"How's this for an answer?" Uma asked and lightly yet with still a bit of force put her lips on his. She'd go to her grave denying anything to do with the touchy-feely but seeing that face splitting grin on Harry's face when they separated…that was enough to make Uma's heart soar. "Now, do I have to put this ring on myself?"

Harry shook his head and took the ring out of the box, sliding it onto Uma's finger.

"How did you get a ring like this?" Uma asked. It truly was an amazing ring, an aquamarine stone sitting dead set center on a silver band. The band itself had small diamonds throughout and it seemed to overlap like rope on a pirate deck.

Or tentacles, Uma thought with a small smile. One could also say that the band looks like tentacles.

"Your uncle helped with that," Harry said with a small smile of his own. "Though it had been Hadie who pointed out that your birthstone's aquamarine with your birthday being in March."

"Hadie knows that?"

"I don't know what his Auradon friends have been teaching him, but then to be fair, he's the son of the God of Wealth. Maybe it would be more shocking if he didn't know birthstones?"

Uma chuckled. "You raise a good point there. Though I seem to remember Hadie being annoyed by Mal's wedding prep work."

"Which is why he didn't stay long, he and the Charmette were going horseback riding," Harry explained and then paused, glancing at the hilt of his sword. "Oh…here by the way. I figured you deserved something romantic when I proposed to you so I….I got you flowers."

"Harry…"

"They're daises," Harry said. "I know they're your favorite flower and Benny found a local florist who was unknown so I wouldn't get mobbed when I went to get them."

"Remind me to thank Ben for that," Uma chuckled. "So is this your way of saying that I 'have your sword' as Mal would sometimes say?"

"Okay Ben did not need to get Mal into a book series nor did she need to get me into it! I can see why Hadie always had his nose in a book when we all lived here—do you know how much sword fighting there is in the series?"

"I'm guessing a lot?"

"You'd be right," Harry nodded. "But enough about that, I think we should go and tell our Queen the good news."

"…was that the reason why Mal asked us to be the ones to take the baby care basket to the Isle hospital?" Uma asked. "Mal knew what you were planning?"

"Mal helped with your ring," Harry said. "It was a family affair so to speak."

Uma chuckled. "Well then cuz has good taste or partially good taste since she would have had to agree on this design. I just hope you didn't let Benny talk you into the 'asking permission' nonsense."

"Um…"

"Harry! You didn't!"

"It was during your last delivery," Harry said. "I wanted to do it right, you deserve it."

Uma shook her head. "Look, Ally didn't ask my dad's permission when she married Freddie, I don't see why you had to ask him—."

"I didn't ask Facilier."

"Oh. Then who…?"

Harry sighed. "I asked your uncle…and your grandfather by proxy. Out of everyone on the Isle, he's the adult you're closest to and really…if you tell anyone this I'll deny it but Lord Hades and Lady Steph are the only adults on the Isle who I want to make proud. I mean I know they're not on the Isle anymore but still…and Lord Poseidon isn't exactly someone I want to disrespect. He's the God of the Sea after all and with you sailing all the time for your job…"

Uma smiled and stood up on her tiptoes to kiss Harry on the cheek. "Hey, you don't have to worry about that. Grandfather would never let anything happen to me, Mal would never let him live it down if that happened. Plus you know Uncle Hades and Aunt Steph think of you as one of theirs right? Now this just makes it official."

"It's not official until you walk down that aisle and we say 'I do' like Mal and Benny did."

"Who's to say we need a big fancy wedding? You, me, Mal, a few of our crew and The Lost Revenge? What more do we need?"

"…cake?"

Uma chuckled. "Okay, yes we can't have a wedding without a cake. I still have dreams about the cake at Mali's wedding if I'm completely honest."

"Maybe Mrs. Potts could whip up a nice cake," Harry said. "Like you said, it doesn't need to be fancy. Though if her cakes are anything like her grilled cheese sandwiches, it'll be a good cake anyway."

"Really? It's got a slice of tomato in the middle Harry."

"That's the best part!"

Uma shook her head as the two of them left the clubhouse to make their way back to Auradon. And if anyone on the Isle heard a squeal akin to a pig getting slaughtered a few hours later, they thought nothing of it.

After all, such a squeal had been heard more than once from Auradon and they had no doubt it'd be heard again.
