Those moments under the Nirvash, I was lost, you know? Eureka was right there, and the way the light hit her face…that was what did it to me. She was looking up at the underworkings…and…
"I don't think I can hold back any longer…" I said. And then, I was really out there. I couldn't think. I just wanted to kiss her; it was all I wanted. It would make me the happiest person alive, sis, it really would. I'd been going crazy since I met her, and the sun had made it all possible.
I kissed her cheek, and she turned to face me. Her normally pale cheeks had a faint blush in them, causing my own to deepen. She kissed my cheek in return, and she laid her soft hand on top of mine. I looked across into her pale purple eyes, and we kissed again and again, her light arms now around me.
The kids watched us, sis, but I didn't really notice. They laughed and made loud songs, but I didn't care. Eureka was here with me. Eureka was here with me! The Nirvash was suddenly the place I wanted to live. If Eureka could be here with me, and even if that meant her three kids came along with us, I didn't care.
Those few moments when the sun was right there, it was the happiest moment of my life, or…they would have been. Instead, I heard, "Spill it…spill it, Renton…", and the moment was ruined.
I didn't kiss Eureka. She jerked away, and out of shock, I went to stand up, and hit my head hard. When she turned to me, the sun's position had changed, and…I guess I was back. But those few moments in the sun…I won't forget them.
