A/N: I highly recommend listening to dark/creepy music with this (and lets be honest most if not all of my story lol) chapter, preferably piano, violin, or music box... :D

Somber Memories

A group of Splicers gathered around the now dead Rogue Alpha just outside the Proving Grounds. They were all panting heavily from the fight that had taken so many of their Comrades, until they were joined by their Leader. Wallace pushed his way through the small crowd until he could see the Alpha laying next to some of his fallen Men, He growled as he balled his gloved fist. He spoke lowly, His voice laced with barely contained rage.

"does anyone want to tell me how those two got away... AGAIN!?" He screamed with emphasis on "again" making it clear that he didn't like that someone had been able to escape him for a second time. They somehow managed to thwart his carefully laid out plans not once but twice! This made him VERY upset.

His Men were silent, when he looked them in the eyes they simply diverted their gaze to their sides or the ground. They knew what kind of Man he was, what he was capable of, He wasn't the kind of Man to let mistakes slide.

"Oh but they didn't just escape. no, no, no, no, NO! They blew my FUCKING plan back in our faces!" He screamed at the group who now looked more like sheep than Splicers.

"What do you have to fucking say for yourselves!?" He waited.

"i-it's not our fault Boss, Somebody opened the door for the-" The Man that had spoke up was silenced with a large Kitchen Knife to his chest. He slumped over and looked up to see his Leader's rage filled expression. Wallace pulled the knife out of the Splicer's chest and stabbed him three more times for good measure before pushing his body to the floor.

"anyone else wanna come up with excuses!?" He yelled to the rest of them.

"NO BOSS!" they said in response, some of them unable to control the volume of their voice due to fear.

"Since they decided to shit on our day, we're gonna do the same to them!" He yelled as he grabbed another Splicer by his shirt pulling him close.

"Grab everybody you can find and tell them to get their asses to that Hotel!" he growled as he pushed the Man away. The Splicer nodded and ran off in the opposite direction.

"We're in deep shit if we don't get there before those two, Get to that Fucking Hotel NOW!" He yelled at the others and they soon joined the first Splicer that had run off.

. . .

Iota watched her younger Sibling crawl into the darkness of the Gatherer Vent with both sorrow and happiness mixing. She hated having to say goodbye so soon but she understood the reasons behind it, she was no longer able to regenerate from damage instantly and since the Protector's main choice of travel was swimming close to the sea floor it was simply impossible for her to go with them. Tenenbaum had kept her promise by opening the doors to the Proving Grounds for them quite possibly saving their lives and she had been looking after Lizzy in their stead. So she couldn't be all bad could she? Many questions still plagued the young Protector. Where was the rest of their Family? Why was Lizzy no longer a Little Sister?

Iota struggled with her thoughts until she felt something very comforting to her, a gloved hand gently rubbing up and down her bare back where her damaged suit no longer protected. She looked over to her Brother who wore the same annoyed expression he always did, He showed no sign of pain or weakness, no fear or doubt, not even the slightest look of worry. He simply nodded his head and motioned for them to continue. Iota agreed and the Duo began their trek through the old Museum.

The look of worry never left Iota's face. As they walked past the various displays of the Museum Omega noticed she didn't look at things with curiosity and awe like she normally did. There was an entire treasure trove of things she could collect for her keepsake pouch but she never even looked at any of it. Did Lizzy have that much of an effect on her? or was she just feeling sad about their situation in general? Whatever the cause was it made his Protector instincts claw at him to make her feel better, but how? He thought for a moment before he felt her grab his hand, he looked over to her but she just continued to stare at the ground as they walked on. Her gaze was sorrowful but she wore a slight smile causing Omega's instincts to ease a bit. She may not be completely happy but then again neither was he and at least she had stopped crying.

The Duo continued walking silently through the run down Museum looking at the various displays along the way. They were old, dust covered, and some of them had fallen out of place from years of neglect. The dim lighting mixed with floating dust particles in the air created an eerie atmosphere, it was clear the building hadn't seen any sign of life for a very long time. The two Protectors came to a set of double doors blocking their path, Iota put her hands on the door knobs and gave them a sturdy tug while jiggling the handles. The large doors only shook sending small clouds of dust into the air. Iota sneezed as she looked to her Brother for assistance, she began rubbing her irritated nose when she was startled by a loud bang, when she turned Omega was facing an open doorway with two large broken doors on the ground inside the room. More dust filled the air as the Protectors walked into the next room. This room was brighter then the other one, it had a large window on the ceiling above a giant Whale hanging from some support cables. Iota marveled at the giant creature suspended above them. The two Protectors continued through the empty establishment, their footsteps echoing through the halls, amplified by the total silence surrounding them.

Two sets of double doors, three hallways and a bathroom break later the Two deadly Guardians arrived at the back entrance to Fontaine Futuristics. As Iota turned the corner she heard a beeping noise and was quickly pulled backwards, as soon as she lost sight of the entrance a hail of bullets flew past the corner of the wall where she would have been standing seconds earlier. She looked back to Omega who gave a small sigh of both relief and annoyance. Iota blinked a few times and quickly turned back to the corner wall to hide her embarrassment. How could she forget about the security systems? She slowly peeked around the corner to get a better view, Omega put his hand on her shoulder plate ready to yank her back at the first sign of danger.

The entrance to Fontaine Futuristics featured a set of heavy steel doors and a sentry turret on each side, they were fixed on top of some large concrete pillars over looking the Courtyard leading to the entrance. Iota looked back to her Partner and gestured for him to take a look, this time she put her hand on his shoulder plate as he had for her. After he finished his inspection Iota pointed to herself then the right side of the room, Omega nodded in affirmation and got ready himself. Both Protectors clinched their fists and dissipated into a cloud of red smoke and pedals. They simultaneously materialized above the turrets and dropped landing on the backs of the pillars, Omega stabbed his large combat knife into the turret as Iota used her Harvester to do the same. The two guns wired and beeped as they started smoking and finally lost power. When the Duo jumped to the ground they were immediately faced with another pressing matter, the large steel doors were locked tight and Lizzy was no longer with them. Omega shoulder charged the doors with all of his might only causing them to shake slightly, He growled with anger as he tried again this time with Iota joining in but they still wouldn't budge. They tried using the combined force of their Incinerate on it, then Telekinesis but nothing seemed to work, the doors were still locked but now they were scorched black.

Iota thought for a moment before walking over to the large pillar she had been on a few minutes earlier. Omega was still trying to force the doors open when he heard a sharp screech, when he looked to his Companion she pointed to the bottom of the pillar, then at the top and finally at the two doors blocking their path. Omega walked over to her and watched as she tried to push the pillar. Realizing what her goal was Omega joined in putting his arms over her and pushing farther up on the concrete tower. They felt it start to give way and could hear cracking at the base, after one more hard shove the pillar started to slowly fall building up speed as it headed for the ground. Just before it hit the ground the sentry turret as well as the top of the pillar hit the large doors right in the middle shattering the pillar in several places and denting one of the doors separating the two with a large gap in the middle revealing metal bars on the inside that served as the locking mechanism for the entrance. The two panting Protectors walked over to the second pillar and repeated their process of forced entry. The second pillar hit the doors with a thunderous crash but instead of denting them it busted them wide open causing chunks of debris and dust to flood into the building.

. . .

Tenenbaum, Mark, and Joe gathered around Lizzy for her report on the situation, they were eager to hear what she thought.

"good job Little one, here, this is for your hard work." Tenenbaum handed Lizzy a piece of candy for her role in the Doctor's plan. "und what did you think of our soon to be allies?" she asked as Lizzy excitedly tore open the candy and tossed it into her mouth.

"Big Brother and Big Sister? of course they're nice!" she said like it was a no brainer as she sucked on the treat she had received. Tenenbaum chuckled at the little Girl's remark, of course SHE would think that. Tenenbaum was still unsure if they would help or not.

"Don't worry Doc, I'm sure they'll be grateful that you've been taking care of Liz." Mark said to try and ease the Woman's mind.

"I am responsible for everyone here, so I cannot help but worry." the group heard the loud speakers ding to life with the Hotel's theme jingle.

"uuuhh Everybody better get in here! Like right now!" Danny yelled over the Hotel's intercom systems alerting the Survivors that something was horribly wrong. Joe and Tenenbaum were the first ones to make it to his room followed by James, Mark, Saline, Vicki, Craig, Lizzy. Both Grace and Subject Sigma slowly making their way inside, Grace panting as she finally made it. Subject Sigma groaned lowly as he scooted a chair over to her so she could sit down.

"oh my, thank you Baby, such a Gentleman and here I thought chivalry was dead." she said as she chuckled.

"It ain't easy for me to make it around like i used to Danny, what's all the comotion about?" the older Woman asked as she caught her breath.

"It's easier if I just show you, here." he said as he typed on his Computer. The group listened to the entire audio recording from the Splicers outside the Proving Grounds.

"Well damn." Joe said with a determined look about him. "everyone get ready! Mark, you, James, Vicki, and Craig gather all the weapons and ammo you can and get them to the barricades!

"you got it!" mark said as his group ran out the door.

"Danny get those Security bots of yours up and running ASAP!" he said pointing to the Computer in front of Danny.

"already on it Boss man." the young genius replied as he went to work.

"Doc, Saline, and Lizzy you're on medical detail. I want all first aid kits and EVE syringes placed evenly at the Barricades!" The bearded man said prompting a salute from Lizzy before they headed out the door.

"Grace take this gun and watch over Anna, I don't mean to be rude but you're more of a Liability than an Asset." he said handing her a Revolver.

"you don't have to worry Honey, I know damn well I ain't no fighter!" The old Woman laughed as she took the weapon and slowly headed down the hall.

Subject Sigma groaned questioningly when Joe looked at him and grinned. "How good are you in a fight big Guy?" Sigma revved his Drill and groaned deeply in response.

"Good, we're gonna need ya!" Joe said as he cocked his shotgun and motioned for the Alpha series Protector to follow him.

"Danny cut the power to the Elevator, we don't need any unwanted surprises." he said as he exited the room with Sigma following behind him. Danny simply held a thumbs up to no one as he continued his work.

Joe and Sigma made their way to the main Barricade which was their fall back point if things got too hairy. "alright big Man this is where you come in, we're gonna hold them off in the stairs for as long as we can, I want you to set as many traps as you can and cover us while we fall back. I don't mean to put you in too much danger but lets face the facts, you're bullet proof, we aren't. Use your mini-gun in the stairs to shred em since it's a good choke point, then fall back after us to the main Barricade. They're gonna be on us like flies on shit so this is the last line of defense..." he said looking to the fortifications they had constructed. "I don't need to tell you what'll happen if they make it here... lets just hope Omega and Iota can get here before that... and lets hope they're on our side when they get here." he said taking a rather serious tone.

. . .

Omega looked to Iota who gazed back expecting something, He nodded to her in approval of her quick thinking. Iota smiled happily as the two began climing over the rubble to enter Fontaine's prized place of business. Walking up a flight of stairs the Duo came to a large lobby with a giant statue of earth hanging from the ceiling, it had many intricate designs covering it. Had the Protectors known what it was they would have been able to appreciate it more but for all they knew it was just a big sphere for decoration. It had been a long time since they had last seen the lobby, nostalgia gripped the Protectors as memories of the past flooded their minds. stepping over to one of the two closed elevator doors Omega unsheathed his knife and stabbed it into the middle crack between two doors, once he pried them apart enough to get his fingers in he pulled the doors apart with a grunt.

When the doors were open to their full capacity both Protectors looked down into the black abyss of the Elevator shaft. Iota lightly kicked a piece of concrete into the darkness as the Duo listened. They could hear the concrete clang of the walls of the shaft as it descended farther down. finally after a few more echoed bangs they heard it hit the bottom. Iota clicked on the elevator buttons but it was no use, the power was completely shut off. She watched as her Brother made his way to an old skeletonized corpse, He took the dead Man's business jacket off and threw it over his shoulder, next he removed the Man's leather belt and made his way back to the Elevator shaft. He then ripped the leather belt in half and pointed to Iota's hands. She looked down at her palms with large holes in her gloves, she held out her hands and watched with intrigue as Her Partner wrapped both halves of the belt around her hands. Iota smiled now knowing she wouldn't have to burn her palms while sliding down the cables in the shaft, of course she could just regenerate from that injury in a matter of minutes but he had already gone through all of the effort to keep her from getting hurt.

Omega balled the jacket up and set it ablaze with his Incinerate, he waved the smoke out of his face and dropped the flaming ball of expensive fabric down the shaft, luckily it stayed lit when it crashed to the bottom. From there the Protectors could see a dim light at the bottom. Omega leaped from the entrance and caught one of the two parallel cables wrapping his hands and legs around it swinging before steadying himself, Iota did the same as they began sliding down she shaft. The cables were caked with grease that smelled of rust and oil, the Duo had to stop twice just to wipe the built up grease from their hands and kick the wall to knock it off of their boots.

After a few more minutes of sliding they finally reached the bottom, they were relieved the jacket was still on fire otherwise it would be pitch black. after removing the rest of the thick grease from their gear Iota kicked the maintenance hatch of the Elevator car and dropped inside with Omega following her. When they landed they heard crunching causing them to look down to their feet, that's when they noticed the Elevator car wasn't empty like they had anticipated. Bones and tattered clothes littered the floor from the previous occupants who were unable to escape. Omega soon realized why, Iota used all of her might to pry the doors open just a few inches and even with their combined strength it was very difficult. When they managed to force the doors open they realized that the elevator car had stopped in between floors causing the bottom of the car to be above ground level on the floor below them, Omega layed down on his stomach crushing more bones as he slid out of the tight opening, after squeezing out of the car he sat hanging with both arms before dropping.

The fall was farther than he expected causing him to hit the ground and roll backwards to land in a kneeling position. He stood up and popped his neck before lighting his hand with Incinerate, He looked up to the Elevator car where his Partner still remained and gave a deep screech, He heard a higher pitched responding screech as he watched Iota's lower half make it's way out of the small opening. When Iota let go of the Elevator car Omega swiftly caught her when she reached the ground causing his flaming hand to go out, she thanked him with a light screech as he set her down and they ignited their hands for lighting.

The Hallways of their old Testing Facility were completely devoid of both life and light, the only sources being themselves and their fiery hands. The dim light only increased the eeriness of the abandoned Complex and the air was heavy, thick almost, it smelled of dust and their advanced sense of smell it was hard to focus on just one scent and none of the many they smelled were good. They could smell dried blood, rust, mold, and they could practically smell the amount of despair the Complex once caused. They toned down the power of their Incinerate to use the orange flame instead of blue for better visibility, the flames danced around their hands as they walked, orange light illuminating the white walls around them and the dirty tiles under their feet. They past several doorways that led to even darker medical rooms, as they walked by them they caught glimpses of operating tables, surgical tools, and ancient blood stains now turned brown as the previous scientists never bothered to clean them up.

Iota felt uneasy being back in the dilapidated Corridors, she looked to her Brother who was more on edge than she was. His illuminated eyes darted from place to place, room to room, examining everything around them, like he was searching for threats though there were none. She could hear him gritting his teeth and the fabric of his gloves squeak as he clinched his fist. It was clear that the old Facility held painful memories for him, memories she was sure she could never understand. What kind of Hell had they put him through? He who was the only Male subject to survive the ADAM slug implantation. She didn't know but she was sure they had probably run countless painful experiments on him, torturous even.

The Duo arrived at a large holding Cell with bent steel bars and a dented, thick steel door lying on the ground. From what she could see of the Cell it had a makeshift bed of Rapture news papers in the corner and thousands of what looked to be claw marks on the walls all around the Cell, like some kind of monster was housed their and had escaped, it sent a shock wave of chills down her spine. When Iota looked back to see her Partner's ghostly appearance she gasped with realization... this was his old Cell from Dr. Alexander's audio logs. She was at a loss for words, this was how Mother treated one of her most loyal Children?! Why? Had he done something to anger her? Tears began welling up in her eyes as Omega stared off into nothingness, his face twitching here and there as he remembered his dark past. Iota softly put her hand on his cheek, he jumped when she made contact but his gaze never left the Holding Cell. He was shaking and breathing heavily, beads of sweat formed on his dirt and blood caked brow, Iota turned his head to face her, his eyes still fixed on the room. When his sight finally turned to her she shuttered, the look on his face was that of a stranger, like he had never seen her before. As soon as she reeled back and tears fell from her eyes Omega seemed to snap out of it. He put his hand on her arm like he was unsure of what had made her upset.

Iota screeched desperately as she pushed him aside and set the entire Holding Cell ablaze with orange and blue flames. Something that could cause that much pain to someone shouldn't exist! Tears rolled down her face as she gritted her teeth and continued thinking about his previous expression, the coldness of his aura, the dead look in his eyes, everything about the situation terrified her. She never wanted to see that expression, that... pain... again! She screeched in both anger and sorrow as she poured more flames into the room, all Omega could do was watch wide eyed as a dark part of his past burned away and for the first time in her entire life Iota questioned her Loyalty to the Family, to Mother. Questioned their motives, agenda, and ethics... everything. How could she treat one of her own "Children" with such degradation, such torment?! It was almost unbelievable, yet the previous expression on Omega's face proved that it had happened. That the cold truth of the matter was he had suffered more than anyone from both the Family and Rapture.

When Iota finally stopped her fiery barrage the entire room was scorched black as the flames now lit the dark hallways of the Facility. Omega gently put his hand on her shoulder, when she turned around she was met with the same annoyed expression she knew and cared for. She couldn't help but hug him as tight as she possibly could as she buried her face into his cold chest armor to weep. Her chest felt like it was going to explode from pain that she didn't understand, she felt so unbelievably sorry for him, he had even been betrayed by his own "Family" she couldn't forgive anyone for causing him pain... not even Mother. If that was Mother's idea of "Family" then she wanted no part of it! She would be his family!

Omega watched as Iota ripped the golden Butterfly pendant from her neck and growled as she raised it above her head preparing to throw it into the blazing inferno she had ignited. She remembered that Omega had made it for her and dropped to her knees to sob as she was unable to throw the necklace away. Iota had never seen this part of the Facility, she had always seen Omega out in the courtyard with the other Sisters or in between missions, had she known this was where he went when he wasn't doing Mother's bidding she would have been furious. She had grown so close to him it only served to amplify her anger and sorrow for how he was treated. Seeing this EVIL perpetrated on someone she cared so deeply for hurt her even more than losing her Sisters. She felt Omega kneel behind her and wrap his arms around her as she let loose crying screeches that echoed through the empty halls. What she didn't know was how he felt.

Omega held his Partner as she wept, he could feel her shaking and every time she let out a screech of sorrow he felt his chest tighten. He looked up at the flaming Holding Cell that was once his home. It was true that Mother had kept him there while her scientists experimented on him, he thought it was the same for all Protectors... Judging by Iota's reaction that was clearly not the case. He felt heat rise up in his neck and face, why DID she treat him in such a manner? He couldn't remember much from that time, he had blank spots in his memory of those times, probably from the mental conditioning. He was older now however, he had grown as a Protector from that time, now he could tear that tiny Cell to pieces if he were in the same position. Omega looked down to Iota who had calmed down a bit, she was now crying silently as she clutched one of his arms, she sniffled here and there disrupting the silence of the dark building. He was positive this would make her loyalty to the Family waver, if he were completely honest his did as well. He had been skeptical of the Family ever since he had burried his other Sisters. Why would Mother send the Children she supposedly cared for to die... Why would she leave their bodies to rot in the streets, without even showing remorse for them? His mind flashed back to his time trapped inside the Adonis Luxury Resort's main vault.

. . .

Omega could tell the giant door wouldn't budge from anything he threw at it. It angered him, to be trapped like a rat. He remembered the red wagon in the back of the vault, the telekinetic blast he used on the door had flipped it over spilling flower pedals, the jars of lightning bugs and the audio recorder onto the floor. He stood up and slowly made his way to the cart, he sat against the wall next to it and picked up the audio recorder from the floor. His hand glided over the buttons before pressing "play".

"My dear Brother." a young female voice with an accent came through the speakers, he knew instantly who it was. Eleanor Lamb's, she sounded somber, melancholic. "I'm so... so sorry i have to do this but it's the only way. Mother is... she's wrong Big Brother... and I have to get out. I know the Family means so much to you... that's why i had to lock you in here. If you were to stop him I could never forgive you, I know it's not your fault, Mother has control of you, all of you... but if i can't get out of here... I might even kill myself... In three days the generators powering the vault door will go out and you'll be free... I am so very sorry for doing this, for the pain you'll feel when you get out... for everything! once you can truly see, once you're no longer blind... find me... so i can apologize in person..." he could hear her voice breaking and knew she was genuine, he had heard her cry many times though she would never tell him why.

. . .

Three long days passed before the generators finally ran out of fuel. He replayed the audio log again and again trying to understand what his younger Sister was talking about. What did she mean by "she is wrong." and "Once you can truly see. he wondered. Was Eleanor right all along? Had the Family just been a means to an end? Had Mother's Children and Eleanor been nothing more than Puppets that walked, talked, and fell when Mother commanded? When he got out of the cramped vault those questions plagued him for so long, they still did. If He lived for the Family and the Family was nothing more than an elaborate hoax, what did he have to live for?

His attention was brought back to the Girl in his arms, she turned to look at him with tears still streaming from her glowing yellow eyes. She had come to the same grim realization that he had. She, like him was nothing more than fodder to Mother, brainwashed to serve the "Family". Omega put his forehead to Iota's and nuzzled her with a the same pained expression she wore. If they meant nothing to the "Family" the the "Family" meant nothing to them... they would live for each other. Omega wiped away her tears and pulled her hand up to take the golden Butterfly pendant he had made for her. She watched him stare at it for a minute before laying it on the ground and sliding it into the flaming Holding Cell. They watched it burn together, the last remnant of their so called "Family" dying as they held each other. They would be Puppets no longer, they would live for each other's sake, find Eleanor and thank her for opening their eyes.

Omega stood from his kneeling position and stretched his hand down to Iota who gave a wry smile as she took it, he pulled her up and the Duo started walking to the armory for their new suits, and weapons.

On their way they passed the maintenance room which housed the generators for the Complex, with one direct hit of Electro Bolt the engines shot back to life illuminating the dark halls once again in an ominous white light. When they reached the armory they got another painful reminder of their past, the walls were lined with lockers bearing the symbols of their fallen Siblings. They walked slowly down the room looking at each symbol and remembering their Allies. Iota made her way to her symbol and opened the locker, It housed a new Big Sister suit, Helmet, Boots, Gloves, Armor attachments, and Harvester. Before she could grab the suit she heard a sharp whistle, looking over she found Omega holding a brand new black body suit just like his. He walked over and handed it to her, she tried to decline thinking it was too big but he pushed it into her hands as she shook her head. What was he thinking, it would never fit her, it was made to fit his body structure. Omega gestured for her to put it on and she rolled her eyes as she started trying to unzip the damaged zipper on the back of her neck, her old suit had definitely seen better days. She pointed to her back as she puffed her cheeks in frustration and Omega just ripped the remaining fabric of her suit's collar. It fell off her shoulders all the way down to her ankles, Omega unzipped the black body suit and handed to his nude, red faced Companion. It smelled of chemicals and had a distinctly new rubber scent. When she got it on she was pleasantly surprised, Omega zipped the back for her and she inspected her new piece of advanced equipment. She didn't know that the suit was made to fit whatever body happened to slide into it, her Brother unsheathed his knife and pulled the suit away from her skin to cut a small hole in it. Iota screeched at him, he had just ruined the entire point of their journey! He simply held her arm up so she could see, the fibers from the small hole he made were already starting to reconnect and repair themselves. Iota's eyes went wide as she smiled happily, a self repairing suit meant she could keep it for a much longer time than her old suits.

Iota attached her new armor pieces, and Harvester as Omega did the same. They placed new Alpha Series air tanks on their backs for better mobility and put new cages on their backs if Lizzy ever wanted a quick ride and they still had two other Little Sisters to find as well. Omega looked to his new Helmet, much like the old one he had only this one didn't have a huge gash in the middle, the lights worked, and a Brute Splicer hadn't ripped it in half. Iota watched him run his fingers over the out stretched "V" shaped visor. She pulled his Helmet away from him as he looked at her, she placed it on her head and looked around, curious to see what he did from the different Helmet. Once she was finished she took it off and looked at him, Omega reached for his head wear but before he could take it Iota pulled it away. She took one last look at the gear and smiled before placing it on his head for him, Omega just watched her through his visor as she attached the air seals of his demonic helm. With a few familiar pops and a hiss his visor lights turned on, they were green to indicate that he saw Iota as an Ally. Before Iota could pick up her helmet it shot through the air and passed her, when she turned around Omega was looking at it. He walked over to her and placed it on her head before attaching the air seals, with each seal that popped Iota felt more and more comfortable, when the suit sealed and she heard that sweet familiar hiss she almost lost it. Iota looked up to her Companion through the green porthole of her cherished Helmet, she balled her fists in front of her and shook them with excitement as she squealed happily, she gave him a tight hug and started punching and kicking the air to get the feel of having armor again.

The two Protectors clad in new armor, with new Harvesters, and new view points set out to find Doctor Tenenbaum's group of Survivors and ultimately the remaining Little Sisters who had also suffered at the hands of Mother and the Family.
